“-the actual cosmic gods, are not immediately dangerous. They are all-powerful, they are un-killable, they are the source of all evil in Sauria. They could, perhaps, destroy the entire realm on a whim. But they are… mostly indifferent to Sauria’s existence. They are not interested in the individual, insignificant goings-on of the mortal realm. The Transcended Ones, however, are very, very, interested. Because the Transcended Ones were once mortal, they have a deep interest in this world; they’ve walked this ground, they’ve met its people, they, likely, have enemies. And because the Transcended Ones were once mortal they can be sadistic, they can play games. Unlike the Great Elder Ones, who have no real concept of time or life or death, the Transcended know these things all too well.” - “The Fell” | SAURIA: Lore Compendium

Tumblr media
I know this series is not very well known, but I need to satisfy my need for fanart, do I made it myself for my beloved captain!
Can't wait to see more of his narrative arc in a later future, there's so much to unpack.

This was uploaded today and I highly recommend watching this, watching his Dinosauria series (which focuses more on dinosaurs living in their natural habitat), and supporting the guy who made it!
He makes some stellar work!

show: The Dinosauria Series by Dead Sound/David James Armsby (episode: A More Ancient Spring)
song: Creatures in Heaven by Glass Animals
theme: ships with animal characters
programs: iMovie, Kapwing
Check out Dead Sound's Dinosauria series on youtube! Probably one of my top 3 Paleo-oriented media of all time, alongside the Walking With series and Prehistoric Planet.

Note
After the Cogs Successfully took over Toontown, how does the Cog and the Toon Behave?
Are most of the Toons Homeless?
Are there some Cogs who is Shareing a Room with the Toon?
How Traumatized are the Toon Children of loosening their Home and Missing Family Members or one of them getting Killed.
Watch autodale by David James Armsby on youtube, its kinda like that but a bit more in your face, "everything is perfect in our cogtopia! We work ourselves to the bone until were decomissioned!" type beat, toons have either been turned into cogs/hired or pushed out
employed ones? no, rebel ones? yes
probably
probably very so but i imagine a lot of young ones are taken in by cogs, either for hiring or some are just sympathetic

I'm still enamored in Dead Sound's Sauria and more so Ceratus.
This time, I drew him in my usual, rather painterly style instead of doing cell shading.

Media rec that I figured some of my followers may like, which is David James Armsby’s Sauria:
youtube
It’s a dark fantasy series with anthro dinosaurs that I think does an excellent job of balancing cool designs with accurate ones. The anthro characters are both plausible in-universe and exist alongside regular prehistoric creatures as the wildlife of the world, and many typical paleo tropes are approached in cool ways, such as the omnivorous avian dinosaurs being the brutal colonial oppressors, and the more orc-like carnivores as fighting against their regime.

KLOKTOBER 2023
Day 22: sea horror or cosmic horror
Ofc I had to get lovecraftian w this one.
ALL CREDIT FOR THIS IDEA GOES TO DEAD SOUND aka David James Armsby ON YOUTUBE!!! This drawing was directly inspired by his short film, titled white walls. It's a fantastic watch and the man is really talented at what he does, so if you can, please go watch his stuff!! You can watch White Walls here! :)
More below v
I took one of the last frames from that short film, and swapped out the man for Toki, cause not only is David one of my biggest creative inspirations, but also I really wanted to draw that scene for a while now. I love how grotesque it is, and I love the composition. I also couldn't think of anything else for this prompt, and decided this was a good excuse to fanboy about one of my favorite artists teehee.
