Spider-Man Read-Through 079 Search For The Green Goblin Formula (ASM 244-245)
MASTERPOST
You know me, when there's a Green Goblin, I'm in!
Tumblr media
Who is it, who is it?
Also featuring: manboobs.
Soooo Peter applies for a "formal leave of absence" and essentially reiterates that he has ADHD. I know the signs! No wonder I like him so much.
Tumblr media
Oof.
This whole beginning is about how Peter has ADHD. He's on the wrong floor for the line, he has a hard time dealing with the wait, etc.
Dean Krenshaw is a pain, so after getting his paper signed, Peter webs up his door so he can't leave hahaha
Tumblr media
He's very proud of himself.
Meanwhile, MJ's having a lunch with Harry and Liz! She's happy they're so in love, but she says she's not ready for marriage herself. It's also clear that Peter's a complicated subject for her.
Unfortunately, I found what follows pretty boring. Osborn things get attacked again, Spidey goes there, fights, gets the name of the Hobgoblin, Lefty Donovan...
But it turns out it's not the true Hobgoblin! Lefty's in cahoots with the real Hobby and his manboobs.
Tumblr media
I'm not complaining but I'm certainly surprised.
On a date, MJ learns about Osborn's break-in and hopes Harry and Liz are alright.
Tumblr media
Oh I love it. Depth! And her snazzy pantsuit!
Tumblr media
She really is!
In the readers' letters, the Hobgoblin is beloved, and Aunt May is now appreciated as well. To think that a decade before then, the readers were begging for her to die...!
In #245, Spidey recaps everything to the D.A., but the latter doesn't want to help Spidey find Lefty Donovan. Of course, he would help the Avengers, but...
Tumblr media
Hm intriguing character.
Spidey doesn't want the link between the GG and Norman to come out, since it would ruin Harry's life. He's also worried about the HG knowing his secret identity... Somehow, I doubt it, though. But I hope he does, for the drama.
At the Hobgoblin's gay little holiday house, Lefty mixes chemicals and might have gotten the result he expected, but more importantly, it exploded to his face.
Tumblr media
Those gay ass bitches. With that hair color, I *think* I know who it is, but we'll see. Soon, the entire house explodes to not leave any trace and evidence, since the police/firefighters are sure to come quickly.
In a morgue room, Peter tries to investigate Lefty and is surprised by Betty. Hello, you! I appreciate seeing the cast again.
Tumblr media
Cheating arc! Cheating arc! We're so back!
Tumblr media
Throuple, throuple...!
Hmm... is there money in that bag, Jameson?
Anyway, when they get to the place...
Tumblr media
Hahaha. Silly Betty.
It isn't long before Peter gets lost in MJ's pretty eyes... then remembers he's got a lady already. Poly, poly!!!!
Tumblr media
You're polyamorous, Peter! It's simple!
Then we get a three weeks time skip. Three weeks is enough for Lefty to come back to his senses, leave the hospital and put on the Hobgoblin costume.
Tumblr media
In this house, we appreciate manboobs.
Unbeknownst to him, someone's watching him and his future performance.
Spidey goes to see Snider, who does that thing I love where he unsubtly gives the file to Spidey. And that's how Spidey figures Lefty isn't the HG, at least, not the one he's looking for. However, one HG specifically asks for Peter to fight him in midtown.
The fight is short, but very well done. Of course, the one under the mask is Lefty, and when Spidey asks him who's his boss...
Tumblr media
Lefty's soon propelled into a wall and dies.
Hmm!

Nobelsville High School in Indiana Hit with Free Speech Lawsuit - Legal Reader

Nobelsville High School in Indiana Hit with Free Speech Lawsuit - Legal Reader
A Noblesville High School freshman is suing the school after she was denied the ability to form a pro-life club. Noblesville High School in Indiana is under fire in a lawsuit filed by a freshman student. According to the student, Noblesville High School and Noblesville Schools violated his free speech rights and used intimidation tactics against him. The suit was filed by Charitable Allies, Inc. on behalf of the student, who is referred to as E.D. in court documents because she’s a minor.
Free Speech Flag; image courtesy of John Marcotte via Wikimedia Commons, https://commons.wikimedia.orgAccording to Students for Life of America, Charitable Allies is an “Indianapolis organization that works with nonprofits across the U.S. to assist with a variety of legal issues, including incorporation, tax issues, personnel and HR issues, board governance and training, and litigation support.” The defendants include Supt. Beth Niedermeyer, NHS Principal Craig McCaffrey, NHS Assistant Principal Janae Mobley, NHS Assistant Principal Daniel Swafford, NHS dean Jeremy Luna and other school leaders, including Alexandra Snider Pasko, Alison Rootes, Allison Schwingendorf-Haley, Byron Simpson, Elizabeth Kizer, Emily Patterson-Jackson, Grace Tuesca, and Stephanie Eads, according to the lawsuit. What happened, though? Well, according to court documents, E.D. tried to form a club chapter for Students for Life of America back in July 2021. However, a number of school officials tried to stop her from creating the “pro-life, student-sponsored club.” In fact, officials outright denied the club’s creation and the suit alleges “alleges that teachers for Noblesville Schools then abused their positions by posting defamatory statements on social media about the student by name, including referring to the student as ‘bigoted’ and ‘misogynistic.’”  While trying to get approval for the club, E.D. “showed school officials a flyer that “included a photo of young students in front of the United States Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C., holding signs that read, ‘We are the pro-life generation’ and ‘Defund Planned Parenthood,’” the suit notes. After seeing the pictures, “school officials allegedly became unresponsive and unavailable as she tried to get the club started.” On top of that, the suit also argues that Noblesville High School allows other clubs and organizations unrelated to educational goals, including Young Democrats, Police Explorers, Black Student Union, Gender and Sexual Alliance, Conservation club, and more. It’s important to note that Noblesville Schools put out a statement that said “the district offered pro-life clubs in past years, and E.D.’s club was approved, sponsored by faculty and recruiting students this year.” The statement read: “School administration did recently have to redirect this club — not because of the beliefs of the student or mission of the club — but due to multiple instances of disregard for school protocols…All student special interest clubs must be initiated and led by students–they cannot be directed or controlled by school staff or others in the community. We’re currently working to ensure club compliance with state laws and school policy. Once the club meets these, we will reevaluate their status.” When commenting on the lawsuit, E.D. said: “I wanted to start this club to inspire like-minded students to advocate for our most vulnerable and point students to resources designed to uplift them in their time of need. I knew some people would disagree with me, but I never expected to be attacked online — especially by my teachers.” Students for Life of America President Kristan Hawkins added: “The degree to which adults in authority attempted to intimidate a high school freshman is astonishing… Noblesville High School officials went all out to ensure that a minor girl could not speak in their presence about her love for mothers and their children, born and preborn and that she would keep quiet at school. Parents in Noblesville must surely be concerned about school officials turning using media to attack a pro-life girl. Is this a pattern of behavior for Noblesville school officials, using the press to attack community members who share a different point of view? Viewpoint discrimination is unconstitutional in Indiana and nationwide.”   Sources: Student files lawsuit against Noblesville Schools, alleges violation of free speech, intimidation SFLA FRESHMAN STUDENT LEADER FILES SUIT AGAINST NOBLESVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, DISTRICT AND SCHOOL LEADERSHIP ALLEGING VIOLATIONS OF FREE SPEECH RIGHTS & INTIMIDATION

Teaser Trailer for SHARKNADO 6 Takes Us Back in Time
Syfy’s off-the wall shark-fueled film series is back for one final installment. The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time will be the sixth film in the Sharknado franchise. In addition to revealing the title of the film, Syfy so graciously served up a teaser trailer.. as if we don’t already know what we’re in for.
But if you think this is going to be just another Sharknado release, been-there-done-that, you’d be mistaken. Syfy is rolling out the red carpet for their shining, sharky star – tailgating the event with a week’s worth of shark-themed programming leading up to the summer premiere. They’ve called it Sharknado Week, likely in an effort to tease Discovery Channel’s much beloved annual Shark Week that will debut only a few weeks later.
The Last Sharknado will star our usual heroes, Ian Ziering as the aptly named Fin, and his off-again on-again, now bionic wife April, played by Tara Reid. In true Sharknado tradition, they will be joined by a gaggle of celebrity cameos, including Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott, La Toya Jackson, Dee Snider, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Alaska and Darrell Hammond.
The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time Synopsis:
Our hero Fin (Ian Ziering) has battled sharks all over the globe, but in this last installment he will tackle the final shark-tier — time travel. In the ending moments of SHARKNADO 5: GLOBAL SWARMING, Fin was seen wandering alone on Earth after it was destroyed. Now he must travel back in time to stop the Sharknado that started it all. Will Fin and the gang be able to set everything right and save the world once and for all? A production of The Asylum, THE LAST SHARKNADO: IT’S ABOUT TIME is directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, based on an original screenplay by Scotty Mullen.
The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time will premiere August 19th on the Syfy Network. Take a look at the first teaser trailer above, and head over to our Facebook Group to let us know what you think!

Thoughts on Dan Stevens in the 'Welcome to Chippendales' premiere.
Paul Snider was a truly horrible person, and I think that he is up there with the most unlikable people Dan has ever played. Which is partly because he was a real person who caused real harm. It was unsettling to watch him yell about Dorothy Stratten being a fucking bitch and a slut and all the rest. Even so, the show’s version is probably not even half as repugnant as the real man seems to have been. He's obviously still obnoxious, crass, misogynistic and ultimately violent, but the pretty light tone and writing of the show doesn't really allow for getting into it and of course he's just a minor part of the story. The Eric Roberts version of Snider in 'Star 80' was far scarier, but that was a totally different kind of project.
The show really condenses the timeline of Paul Snider's and Dorothy Stratten's connection to Chippendales and her murder. I guess to make it seem more immediate and fit it in one episode. Although they both had small but crucial parts in the early days of Chippendales, it was really not a huge part of their lives and hadn't been for a significant period by the time of their deaths.
In the show they have Steve Banerjee be inspired by a visit to a gay club with the idea for a male strip club for women, with Snider being against it initially. Presumably because Steve is the lead character and they wanted him to have the idea.
In real life Snider brought the idea to Banerjee. From Episode 1 of the podcast 'Welcome to Your Fantasy' (quoted is Bruce Nahin, who used to study for the bar at Destiny II, and then became an investor in the club. Not portrayed in the show.)
“Paul had gone to Canada someplace and saw some sort of gay male revue that was striptease, and he came and he told us about it.”
Snider convinces Banerjee that Chippendales should host its own male strip show, but not a gay revue. At Chippendales, the men will strip for women. Banerjee goes for it. What's he got to lose? They agree that Snider will emcee the show and they'll split the profits.
Bruce describes Snider in the podcast as “Animated. Crazy. Wouldn't stop talking. Obnoxious. Not one of my favorites.”
He was very bad at being an emcee, which was a problem, and they ended up replacing him with a local radio DJ named Richard Barsh. So that was the end of Paul Snider's involvement in Chippendales. It seems like they were easily able to take the idea and push him out. Nick De Noia hadn't entered the scene at that point.
Performance wise Dan definitely tore through the episode. He seemed to be especially having a lot of fun with Paul’s cringeworthy emceeing and delivered his lines in those scenes with an absolutely unhinged energy. I enjoyed the whole recruiting guys at the beach/flyer handing out part. It was funny, despite Paul's grossness. The way he shot that basketball so terribly and then yelled "fuck!" made me laugh. I think Dan sold Snider's desperation and patheticness well. He always goes for it completely in whatever he does.
Fully ignoring the terribleness of Paul Snider, I do love Dan in those outfits.
It's interesting that Dan has played two different real-life figures this year, at different ends of the seventies. Paul Snider makes John Dean seem like a great guy by comparison.

By HEATHER DEAN
Record Reporter
Every summer your local kids audition, rehearse, costume, set build, and perform a show, all with in five days during Summer Theatre Camp.  This year, under the direction of Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT) instructors Amy Montecalvo and Holden Grace over thirty young thespians are preparing to regale the community with their performance of this Aladdin adaptation.
For Aladdin it’s not easy to find a magic lamp but it’s even harder to get a date! It’s a swirling sandstorm of famous Arabian Tales from Ali Baba to Scheherazade, and even Sinbad the Sailor, as Aladdin journeys to find a magic lamp in a Cave of (not-so-great) Wonders. Along his way Aladdin seeks answers and advice from wise Genies, a powerful Sultan, and his own Mother to find a way to meet the Princess. However, even with the lamp in hand, Aladdin will have to learn that it takes more than a wish to make a good impression. Full of memorable characters, from lost Penguins to talking Palm Trees, this is an adventure worthy of 1,001 laughs. Conceived and written (including
music and lyrics) by Michael McGill, this show is sure to entertain crowds of all ages.   It's a pay what you can performance, so there is no reason for anyone to miss either showing- Friday night at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m., in the Critz Auditorium. Concessions will be available before and after the show. (Please note: there will not be a card reader available for this performance.)
Missoula Children's Theatre (Missoula, Montana) brings the arts to all 50 states, 5 Canadian Provinces and 16 countries with the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts. Requested by Anon: Can you do something with Sam from Supernatural? Maybe he is in a relationship with y/n and he loves to leave hickeys.
Trigger: Some pre-smut
The local police were being total asshats, they didn’t want to share any information with Sam or Dean. It was decided that we’d go another route, Sam and I went into the police station.
My FED outfit fit me like a glove, I unbuttoned the top button of my shirt, showing a little cleavage. I know it was a cheap and disgusting way to go, but if I read the local police right, it would gain us the information needed.
Sam eyed me, his jaw clinching, he grabbed my arm before we went into the station. Pushing me up against the wall. “What do you think you’re doing?”
I put my hands on his chest, pushing him away. “Getting the information you and Dean couldn’t get.”
He pulled me back to him, his lips capturing mine. His kiss was rough and passionate. “You’re mine!” He growled.
“Yes, I know! Down boy! Can we go in now, get this job done? Then we can go back to the motel and you can claim me.” I winked at him, before pushing past him.
XXX
“Sheriff Lowey, I’m Agent Ford and this is my partner Agent Snider.” We showed him our badges.
“I told Agent Snider and Agent Roth yesterday, that I have nothing to tell them.”
I pouted at the Sheriff. “I’m sure you have some information you can share about the mysterious deaths. I mean three woman just disappear, then you find their bodies mutilated.”
“That’s all we know Agent Ford....” I leaned across the counter smiling at him.
“We’re all on the same team.” I reached out running my hand along his arm. “We want the same outcome, to find out what happened, and to stop any more killings. Please give me the files, it would make me happy.”
For a minute I didn’t think he was going to do it, I squeezed his arm. “If you give me twenty minutes, I can give you copies of everything.”
“Thank you.” I turned to look at Sam, he looked pissed as hell.
XXX
The motel door slammed shut behind me I winced waiting for Sam to say something about my behavior in the Sheriff’s department. I could see why he might be pissed, but hell we got the information we needed.
“Sam, I’m sorry...” I was lifted up, and pushed against the wall.
“Who do you belong to?” His voice was just above a growl, his hazel eyes were dark with lust.
“I’m yours.....”  His lips crashed down on mine cutting off anything else I might say. His hands were pushing up my skirt, I felt his erection pressing against me.
His mouth moved down my neck, sucking on the spot just under my ear. “Mine!” He growled, his mouth went back to the spot, sucking at it. I knew there would be a mark there later.
His hands ripped open my shirt, his lips fastening to the side of my breast. He lifted his head, looking me in the eyes. “Your mine, all of you.”
“Yes, all of me. You have my heart Sam....I belong to you. I love you.”
He lifted his head, smiling. “I love you too, You flirting with the Sheriff made me crazy! I wanted to show him, you were mine right there,”
“Take me to bed and show me now!” He smiled and carried me to the bed.
XXX
The next morning I wrapped the towel around my body, walking over to the mirror, I let out a squeal. Sam was just stepping out of the shower.
“Problem?”
“What are you a junior high boy?”
He smirked at me. “Just making sure everyone knows your marked as taken.”
I shook my head at him, while I started to apply make up, hoping I could cover most of them.
