Solution to Laravel "table.cache Doesn't Exist"
Hey! as of recently, was implementing an e-commerce online office furniture store while using my favorite PHP Laravel framework. I landed on this "table.cache doesn't exist" error which took me time to realize that I was accessing a table which wan not yet created. So i had to correct this configuration setting and also create a table for storing the cached data. You no longer need to reinvent the wheel. A full guide to how to resolve Laravel "Table.Cache Doesn't Exist" is here.

webdev log uhhhh... 6?
Haven't worked on my site in a bit because I think I fucked up somewhere in during the deployment phase so now it's hard to host it locally.... only the index page works and the css is half broken anyways, presumably because of laravel breeze's tailwind coming preinstalled. I DID have to jump through hoops to get it going during deployment.. just don't know which hoops so it's stuck that way >_>;; so now I can't host it locally for development......... I'll have to make things and just hope it shows up when I deploy them I think
Failed to listen on 127.0.0.1:8000 (reason: ?)
cool, cool. thanks. very helpful debugging message..
anyways, coded up a little php doohicky and updated my site! WANNA PEEK?
I wanted to migrate my fridge page (art others have done of my characters) to my site, but I didn't want to implement another table because YUCK I'm so done with that.
I wanted something more automatic because I'm lazy and I also wanted it to not look like it's from 2003 like my neocities to match with my new site. too much trouble!!!! including the stuff previously mentioned.. so I left it untouched for a while.
then I was talking with someone and wanted to try making this with php.....
it's pretty basic. finished the code for the script in like an hour maybe, and then later it was mostly just tinkering with the html/css itself to make it display all nice and grid-like.
all it does is take all images from a specified folder and spits them out.
it creates a DirectoryIterator object to iterate through the specified folder (at least, I think that's how DirectoryIterator works.... dunno) then for each individual file it checks if it's an image, gets the time the file was modified, then stores the file path and modified time in an array. then that array gets sorted via modified time (newest first), and then iterated through and BAM...
I'd prefer a better time system such as organize when the file was actually created, but if you paste a file into a new folder, "created time" gets changed to when you pasted it.. using file modified time is the only way when you aren't using a database and just want this to be all done automatically I think. unless I'M STUPID and someone has a better idea.. then please enlighten me.
ANYWAYS added The Fridge to my site using my lil code! :>
updated my About to include a link too...
also, I was looking up things and found this funny example code on stack overflow
let's all randomize our racism images.....

webdev log 4
nearly clawed my eyes out but we lived
dealt with a bug in which my /art/create page wouldn't work. debugged 5ever and found out it was specifically because of the url prefix "/art" and any of my new pages starting with it would lead to a 404... and the mystery just deepened. went at it for hours, testing and clearing caches etc etc whatever. turns out it was because those specific routes were placed after my existing routes that also use the /art prefix, even though it works fine for my other pages?! I didn't even know order mattered!! nothing I've read on routes even mentioned order!! I spent HOURS. I TEARED UP. I GAMER RAGED. and the solution ended up being so easy, although now, it's still a bit mysterious..... I don't know *how* the order matters. much reading to do later whenever I'm not lazy.
okay anyways
added the function to add and delete images. struggled a bit since I. ermm. uploaded them all manually and use the original file names.. but laravel stores images with a random filename so I had to figure out how to make them store to the right folder + use the original file name as to not mess up what I already have. I could've just deleted everything because I kind of prefer the randomized file names but I'd have to in and check when I drew a drawing and edit the created at date and I don't wanna do that
delete button only exists on the show view. I don't trust myself.
kind of.... lazy.... to make a function to edit art. if I really wanted to edit things I'll just delete and repost. lol. I never go back and edit super old art anyways, only things I recently finished. maybe I should at least have an option to edit tags but I'll burden future me by not doing that.
I don't think I'm a good programmer at all. I'm not a logical person. I can only do basic things.. I'm only lucky I made it this far since this framework has a ton of community support. if you asked me to do all this from scratch............. lmfao 😂 I don't think I'd be able to do it.
anyways that's all for this time..... that first issue tuckered me out.
I'll do guestbook next time. I wanna move off of neospring and atabook since I just don't like relying on third party websites anymore to host anything of mine. I want everything in one place because I can only trust myself.
and if it goes down then I only have myself to blame 🤓

A Beginner’s Guide to Website Development in 2025
In today's digital-first world, having a website isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. Whether you're launching a personal blog, building a portfolio, or starting a business, a strong online presence begins with a well-developed website.
What is Website Development?
Website development is the process of building and maintaining websites. It involves everything from coding and design to performance optimization and user experience. It’s generally divided into two main areas:
Front-End Development: What users see and interact with—design, layout, navigation, etc.
Back-End Development: The server-side logic, databases, and systems that power your website behind the scenes.
Key Steps in Website Development
1. Planning & Strategy
Define your goals (e.g., lead generation, online store, portfolio).
Choose your target audience.
Plan the site structure and content.
2. Design & User Experience (UX)
Create wireframes or mockups.
Choose color schemes, fonts, and imagery.
Focus on mobile-first design.
3. Development
Use HTML, CSS, JavaScript for front-end development.
Leverage frameworks (React, Vue) or CMSs (like WordPress).
For complex sites, integrate back-end languages like PHP, Node.js, or Python.
4. Testing & Debugging
Test your website across browsers and devices.
Fix bugs and optimize performance.
5. Launch & Maintenance
Deploy the site using a hosting provider.
Regularly update content and software.
Monitor analytics and improve SEO.
Popular Tools & Platforms in 2025
No-Code Builders: Webflow, Wix, Squarespace (great for beginners)
CMS: WordPress, Ghost
eCommerce: Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento
Frameworks: Next.js, SvelteKit, Laravel
Why a Good Website Matters
A well-developed website:
Builds credibility and trust
Enhances user experience
Boosts SEO and visibility
Converts visitors into customers
Final Thoughts
Website development is more accessible than ever, but creating a truly effective site requires thoughtful design, smart development, and continuous improvement. Whether you build it yourself or hire a pro, remember: your website is often your first impression—make it count.

Why Code Quality Still Matters in PHP Projects
Code quality has always been a critical factor in software development—and PHP is no exception. Despite the evolving ecosystem and frameworks like Laravel and Symfony bringing structure to PHP projects, the importance of clean, maintainable, and well-documented code remains as relevant as ever. For modern PHP development companies, maintaining code quality is not just about meeting technical standards; it directly impacts scalability, performance, security, and long-term maintainability.
The Real Cost of Poor Code
At first glance, messy or unoptimized code may not seem like a dealbreaker. The application might still function correctly, especially in the early stages. But over time, poor code leads to slower development cycles, increased bugs, higher maintenance costs, and more time spent debugging than building new features.
Many PHP development agencies in India face this issue when taking over legacy systems from clients. Cleaning up low-quality code before adding new features often takes more time and budget than anticipated. That’s why a focus on quality from day one is crucial.
Scalability Depends on Structure
If your PHP project is expected to grow—either in traffic, features, or integrations—poorly structured code can become a bottleneck. Clean code ensures that new team members can understand and extend the application without introducing regressions or conflicts.
This is one reason top PHP development companies in India follow established coding standards such as PSR (PHP Standards Recommendations) and enforce code reviews as part of their development workflow.
Security Is Tied to Code Quality
Many vulnerabilities in PHP applications arise from bad practices: not sanitizing input, exposing sensitive information, or relying on outdated libraries. High-quality code includes proper handling of user input, encryption practices, and regular dependency updates.
Security is a key deliverable for most PHP development companies, and it's directly tied to the quality of the codebase. Good code practices minimize risks and make it easier to implement further security layers if needed.
Code Reviews and Automated Testing
To maintain quality, experienced teams implement regular code reviews and write tests alongside their code. Unit and integration tests ensure that changes don’t break existing functionality. Tools like PHPStan or Psalm help in identifying bugs even before code hits production.
Many PHP development agencies in India rely on such tools to consistently deliver high-quality products. These practices aren’t just optional—they’re necessary to stay competitive and maintain client trust.
Easier Maintenance and Lower Technical Debt
Technical debt is inevitable in any software project, but the degree to which it slows you down depends on your code quality. High-quality code is easier to debug, update, and refactor. This translates into faster feature development and less time fixing regressions.
That’s why clients working with top PHP development companies in India often benefit from lower long-term costs. These agencies build with future growth in mind, using code that’s built to last rather than patched to work.
Conclusion
In PHP projects, code quality still matters—perhaps more than ever. As projects grow more complex and user expectations rise, the benefits of clean, maintainable code become increasingly clear. It's not just about elegance or style; it's about building systems that are secure, scalable, and sustainable.
For businesses looking to develop or scale their PHP applications, partnering with experienced PHP development companies is key. Whether you choose one of the top PHP development companies in India or a specialized PHP development agency in India, make sure their commitment to code quality aligns with your long-term goals. The success of your project may depend on it.
