Bir dostum dünyadaki en güzel söz “sen bilirsin” demişti bir zamanlar. Sen bilirsin kalıbını ilk kim kullandıysa bir ömür duacıydı kendisine çünkü mesuliyet bir insanın üzerinde ancak bu kadar kolay atılabilirdi. Madem herkes kendisi bilir o zaman ben de bildiğimi söyleyeyim.

Kişisel olarak heyecanlı, özleyince arayan, sevinince gülen, arzulayınca görmek isteyen, aşık olunca ruhu çalkalanan, ne istediğini bilen, istemediğine hiç şans vermeyen, hissettiklerini saklamayan, elinde olmayarak hissettiği hiç bir şey için kendisiyle savaşmayan, yaratıldığı gibi hayvansal güdüleriyle insani zaaflarıyla yaşayan kusurlu bir insanım.

İnternet çağının kusursuz insanlarından değil, kendi kusuruyla büyüyen bir ilk çağ insanıyım. Ama bir şeyin de farkındayım. Hissetmekte bir kusur yok yaşamanın bir sınırı olmalı.

Kadını seven, ruhuyla kadın coğrafyasında kaybolmanın büyüsüne tutkun birisiyim. Şıpsevdi ve kadın budalası değilim. Hayatındaki kadının şeklini alanlardan değilim. Ayrı ayrı karakterler ve benliklerimizin farkında olarak ayrı ayrı iki kişi olarak “tekleşmenin” mümkün olduğuna inananlardanım.

Zevk sahibi gözlere ve sezgilere sahibim. Herhangi birine kolay kolay heyecan hissetmeyecek kadar doygun ruhum. Çünkü heyecanlandırmayacak, doyurmayacak, çabucak tükenecek bir şey yerine yalnızlıktan daha çok keyif alacak kadar da kendimle aram iyi.

it's definitely widely misused but I think it's an overstep to say we never needed generative AI

It's miles better than Google translate ever has been (in the languages that model has been trained on at least)

There are a lot of scientific applications to the underlying technology behind these models and the research done on how to make them better is insanely helpful for furthering this stuff, a (kind of overused) example being deepmind's alpha fold, which solved a problem in the medical field that's been previously impossible

I know it can be easy to see grifters and tech bros being annoying as usual, but you can make fun of them without throwing the baby out with the bathwater if that makes sense.

I think a lot of what pro-AI people are really wanting is stuff that already exists but they don't know it's out there like

can't format a work email? templates

don't know how to write a resume? templates

writing a thank you card or a condolences card or a wedding invitation? templates templates templates

not sure how to format your citations in MLA or whatever format? citationmachine.net

summary of something you're reading for school/work? cliffsnotes.com

recipe based on ingredients in your fridge? whatsintherefrigerator.com

there's a million more like, guys, we don't need AI, we never needed generative AI
