Βομβαρδίστηκαν από καταφύγια εκτοπισμένων και τώρα δεν έχουν παρά μόνο υφασμάτινες σκηνές, χωρίς φαγητό, νερό ή βασικά είδη.

On Sunday April 10th, in the span of less than 24 hours, occupation forces murdered four Palestinians in cold blood across the West Bank.

Mohammed Zakarneh, 17 years old, Jenin

Mohammed Ghnaim, 19 years old, al-Khadir

Maha al-Zaatari, 24 years old, al-Khalil 

Ghada Sabatien, 47 years old, Husan 

Their deaths at the hands of the occupation brings the number of Palestinian martyrs in the past two weeks alone to fourteen, the majority of whom are from Jenin. These are just some of their names and faces. Ghada Sabatien, who was widowed years ago, left behind six children who are now without both of their parents after she was shot in broad daylight by zionist forces near a checkpoint outside of Bethlehem. 

Day in and day out our people are killed for the simple act of existing and resisting as Palestinians on their land. While our martyrs are vilified and dehumanized by the zionist entity and mainstream media outlets in the US and around the world, we honor their memories as husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, we honor their and most importantly, as human beings. 

Our martyrs are not numbers, and we will continue to honor them every day as we carry on the fight for Palestinian liberation, and beyond, when our land is no longer occupied and our people are free.

I would also say that what became really hard for me is that if one wanted to criticize Israeli state violence - precisely because that as a Jew one is under obligation to criticize excessive state violence and state racism - then one is in a bind, because one is told that one is either self-hating as a Jew or engaging anti-Semitism. And yet for me, it comes out of a certain Jewish value of social justice. So how can I fulfill my obligation as a Jew to speak out against an injustice when, in speaking out against Israeli state and military injustice, I am accused of not being a good enough Jew or of being a self-hating Jew? This is the bind of my current situation.
