We see in the issue where Bruticus combines that Swindle- despite being comatose? Deadish? Is still present in the shared headspace, and they reference it later on as being pretty traumatic in some ways.

Ambulon is dead when he combines with Defensor. He’s been tended to for months, but he’s still a dead body. And I wonder- how did it feel to combine with him?

It’s not touched on aside from the “Ambulon is used once more as a plot device”, and quite literally in this moment, but I really do wonder. If combining with Swindle was traumatic even for the Combaticons, what about the Protectobots? What about First Aid? The same First Aid who was so stricken by grief that he spent the past 6 months in his room and workshop, obsessively putting Ambulon back together. Grief-stricken First Aid.

streetwise made his account first to better understand human culture and just unwittingly dragged everyone else with him. groove posts photos of his drives and random musings he gets at 3am and has like 20k followers because everyone thinks hes just one of those aesthetic accounts. hot spot has a default @ like a dad. streetwise has no clue if hes messing with him or not by keeping it that way but every now and then he sees @.HotSpot9867090 with no freaking pfp in his notifications and it makes him hate his life. blades’ account gets suspended maybe about a month into having created the thing. first aid keeps giving out unsolicited medical advice. they make an account for defensor because hes sad his humans are scared of him and he has his location set to “home, earth”

Thinking about a reality TV series that has humans partnered with the Protectobots or Reacue Bots, or really any of the Autobots that turn into public service vehicles

I'm thinking along the lines of like the observational/ride-along interview style like Cops or Nightwatch.

Like they're doing criminal chases on dangerous individuals, critical medical transports, or high stake rescue missions in different parts of the world. The emergencies they respond to could also involve other Cybertronians so it could really showcase their teamwork and how each species can care for the other. And it could partially demonstrate the Cybertronian side of emergency services, and the bots themselves could even explain a bit of how they operated on Cybertron in comparison to Earth.

And having special crossover episodes with other Autobot emergency vehicles as special guests or with huge catastrophes that require Defensor and coordinating with several other Autobots outside of emergency services.

If Transformers were a real part of our society that would be such a cool thing to watch on TV, but it'd still be really neat even as a totally ficticious adult series or comic line or something.

Like??????? PLEASE Transformers fandom, people with the combiner wisdom, are combiners actually engaging in relationships outside the gestalt and if they ARE what kind of combiners are they? (example: scramble style where a bunch of randos can swap in at any time or closed like Bruticus where they're locked in with those 5 etc)

Wanna infodump What I think modern Defensor's personality would be. (Using some of my own headcanons for the individual bots lmao)

Absolutely the sweetest, chill, and level headed bot alive. Blades' gentle kindness, Groove's general chillness, First Aid's bleeding heart, Streetwise just beeing cool, and Hot Spot's commucative and diplomatic nature. He's a sweety.

Utterly ruthless when need be, though. Like he gets restraint from First aid and Groove, but he'll kick the shit out of someone who needs it like Blades and Hot Spot. It was hard to find Streetwise's fighting habits but it seems he'll also fight when needed. ESPECIALLY someone who threatens his humans/ humans in general. Theyre all protective of humans so times that by 5 and put it together you get this dude "Omae Wa mou Shinderu"-ing you before you can lay a finger on one.

Speaking of multiplying feelings. Blades adores Cody already, and I imagine the 0thers learn to like him as well, so that all mixed together Cody is Defensor's favorite human. He might get a little overboard in his affection but he has 5 times the capacity for everything including love, he can't help it.

So yeah, terrifying to his enemies, but to his friends he's like a 3 story tall teddy bear.
