okay now THIS is probably going to be a ludicrously difficult search via tumblr so i'm gonna be trying other social media sites too but.
did anybody live in/visit manchester around 2002 and ever go to a dark ride in the trafford centre called 'adventures in dreamieland'? it looked like this.
Tumblr media
the exterior of the place, then some of the characters as seen inside the ride itself.
Tumblr media
i also managed to find this photo of the ride vehicle and the zapper guns used to zap the creatures, plus a photo of the logo from a tag on a plushie from the gift shop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
apparently it didn't stay open very long but i can't find a clear answer on exactly when it closed. did anyone here ever go to this? remember it at all? let me know!!!!!
EDIT: i got the whole story from the ride creator in the end.

Sky Whirl was a three-armed ferris wheel that was located at Six Flags Great America and California's Great America which both opened in 1976. The unique ride was designed by Intamin and operated at the parks until 2000 and 1997, respectively. There were two additional installations of this ride model in South Korea and Japan in the 1980s, both of which are defunct as well.

The original Gwazi design, with two trains. Man, I miss that lion & tiger duo so much. It's nice to see such a throwback! This was one of my first big coasters! It still ran with both trains my first time riding it, but I don't remember it after that. The original Gwazi closed on February 1st, 2015, with deconstruction beginning in 2019. Did you know the frames of the original Gwazi trains have been reused on Texas Stingray, at SeaWorld San Antonio?

Python! I have not ridden this coaster, but borh of my sisters quite liked it, and have positive memories! Python closed on October 31st, 2006. It seems like it was another veru photogenic ride for the park.

And finally, one of my favorite rides prior to its closure. I even remember back when Sand Serphant was Cheetah Chase, back before Cheetah Hunt was constructed. I don't think I have seen any Sand Serphant merch since the rides closure.

If I had a dollar for every time I've wanted to check out a story because of the submerged animatronic subreddit Id have three dollars.
It would be weird if it happened once but now that it's been three times I think I need to see a doctor.

I did it! I made an OC based on the gone but not forgotten Cedar Point roller coaster, the Disaster Transport. His name is Dexter Delta. He is kind of a hot mess LOL!

Wonder Eggs was a Japanese theme park opened in February 1992 by Namco. It was notable for being the first theme park opened by a video game company, and featured rides and attractions themed to Namco properties. Initially very popular, Wonder Eggs saw dwindling attendance towards the end of the 90s. The park was closed in December 2000 and was demolished thereafter, replaced by an apartment complex.
The most notable ride at Wonder Eggs was the immersive Tower of Druaga shooting dark ride that was fully themed to the game.
