THE LEGENDARY BATTLESHIP HALBERD IS SO SO SO FUCKING COOL!!!

Can we talk about the Battleship Halberd? I want to talk about the Legendary Battleship Halberd. To me, it's one of the best parts of Kirby Super Star and Super Star! You won't find a person who doesn't like RoMK. If you do, you're lying.

Here's a huuuuuge chart to help outline what I adore so much!

The Battleship Halberd has an entire hangar filled with several Meta Knight themed jets with bombs on palettes. I really wish we got to see them in action, I want to see those little jets fly. I don't think I've either seen fanart of it either. I should probably give it a shot and draw something using it.

I also love that the Battleship Halberd has a shitton of missiles, bombs, and nuclear bombs! I don't know why, but it's funny to imagine this warship in this cotton candy dreamy-weamy land having enough artillery and power to create a nuclear holocaust causing the Waddle Dee population's collective chromosomes to be rendered into a fine mush for decades to come. I want to see an AU where Meta Knight fucking does this. I want a fucked-up Fall Out esque AU where Meta Knight has launched Dream Land into a hyper authoritarian militarist state after bombing a good chunk of Dream Land. I'll have to think on this more. Anyways, it brings up a lot of questions. Mostly how and why the fuck does Meta Knight have so many different bombs, missiles, canon ammunition and possible nuclear weapons. How did he get any of this. You could say he had a lot of time to make it all but... I call bullshit. Did he buy it? With what money? How? Secondly, why would he need so much to take over Dream Land? Like, if Meta Knight wanted to he could have always just assassinated King Dedede and take the thrown during the resulting power vacuum. Slit the bloated greedy fuck's throat while he sleeps. Maybe he thought there'd be more of a collective fight from King Dedede's army? I mean, he does have a living airship but like... considering how much Meta Knight had and the sheer volume what he had did he expect King Dedede to have his own army with similar technological warfare? Given enough time I'm sure King Dedede could have something similar but definitely not during the RoMK era. It's just really funny, really confusing, and really interesting. I love the idea that Meta Knight is Dream Land and Pop Stars's sole military offense and defense force.

Something I noticed that wasn't used either, those weird looking robot machines with angler fish lights, drills, and a wrench. What the fuck are those? Why are those there?

I love that the Battleship has those satellites/sensor dishes, it really exemplifies the type of tech it has! It's probably meant to detect things coming at it in the sky but I do love the idea it can do limited interplanetary communications and full ground-based communication even more so when you see the land-line styled phones

Another thing I really love is that, even though it's mostly artillery and war stuff, there's little living space things! If you look closely you can see a large pantry with sacks of possibly flour or meal, large barrels filled with liquids that could be water or alcohol! We got brown beer bottles, large salt containers, two fridges and pots and plates. It's very nice, and if you scroll down you'll even see a barrack area. I'm not a huuuge fan of the whole "Meta Knight, Vul, Sailor Dee, Sword & Blade, and the Meta-Knights all live on the Halberd 24/7" because it invalidates the majesty that is Meta Knight's fuck huge military base! I want to pivot for a moment...

This is a little pet peeve of mine, but I kind of hate that Meta Knight's military base doesn't get a lot of spotlight! I see a lot of derivative fan-content focused on The Battleship Halberd and its crew that seems to fall into this common trope that everyone sleeps, eat, pisses, and more on the Halberd! I see little focused on anything or even references to the fact that there's a huuuge base with large buildings and even a port! I just wish that got a little more spotlight y'know? I want to see more of that in fanworks! Also! I don't like Kirby OCs but I do want to see more implications that there are more people who inhabit the ship than just the main crew. It's weird that I have to say this and it isn't more common.

Anyways, back to the original topic. There's even a laundry room with a possibly Official Legendary Battleship Halberd uniform. There's a toilet too. Neat!

Anyways, to finish this post off I just want to list some headcanons I have regarding the Battleship Halberd and its inhabitants

Sailor Waddle Dee and Captain Vul are best friends till the end. They're surprisingly similar in a lot of ways and tend to work closely together when it comes to the battleship's upkeep and innovation.

Captain Vul is a heavy chain smoker of cigars and drinker of rum.

The Meta Knights are all regular enemies but are just wearing armor and taking up different weapons to look scarier and befitting of serving Meta Knight.

The Battleship Halberd doubles as Pop Star and Dream Land's form of defense both planetary and interplanetary. It makes most of its money as freights for hire, mercs for hire, or other misc. tasks at a high price. Despite this, they have a very strong moral code!

Meta Knight has a nice room on the Halberd and a personal apartment on his base.

Captain Vul views Meta Knight like a son. Despite Meta Knight being a eternal void-born being it's not weird because Meta Knight does act youthful in his ways underneath his persona of a cool suave knight this is not me fighting against 𝕯𝖎𝖘𝖌𝖚𝖘𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌𝖑𝖞 𝕺𝖑𝖉 𝕻𝖔𝖘𝖙-𝖂𝖆𝖑𝖑 𝕸𝖊𝖙𝖆 𝕶𝖓𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝕻𝖗𝖔𝖕𝖔𝖌𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖆 i'm not owned i'm not owned I am NOT owned

Meta Knight has ran and will continue to run very intense emergency drills for almost any and all situations. Him fighting his own ship would be considered a drill to make sure the Battleship Halberd is fortified enough to survive himself being possessed and deciding to attack his own ship and crew. (It failed...).

Meta Knight does play favorites.

The Battleship Halberd uses three different fuel sources. Oil, Kinetic, and Alchemic Anomalous Energy.

I like to imagine Sailor Waddle Dee and Captain Vul hosting a Battleship Halberd only radio show. It's very problematic in nature.

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the Kirfluff blog Aged Up!

This blog is a side blog to the main blog @kirbybecomesastarwarrior: which follows the plot line of the KBASW (AU). (which is a mix of anime and game lore)

This is more of the ask blog where you can interact with the main cast (which is still in production, so for now, it's these two boys).

This blog follows the events after the main story line & these boys taking on the political and adult world together. So this blog will contain spoilers if you want to avoid any... or if Kirfluff isn't your cup of tea don't worry it does not play a major role in the story. (I'd say the boys are about 21-26 yrs old in this so their consenting adults)

Any lore-type questions about KBASW should go to the main blog link above. This blog is mainly to be more interactive and for the shippers who want the "Kirfluff" content. (Also, I miss making the content for these two...)

Basically, this is the after-story... This is their story.

Okay so a few house rules:

Feel free to ask any questions you want, however... I intend to make this a blog for everyone, so don't go too nuts with the questions. (a saucy question here or there but other than that, nothing sexual or graphic ok).

If questions do contain that will reveal future plot lines of the KBASW (AU) the answers will be hidden under a "Keep reading" or will not be answered at that moment in time. (So please don't get discouraged if your ask is not answered).

Eventually, there will be a more expanded cast you can ask for (other anime/games characters) however will not be just yet. This is because their plot lines are not finished yet, or it's too much of a spoiler. Though opinions & questions of them to other main casts that are available will be allowed. (characters available will be listed below...)

Characterization:

Kirby/ Sir Kirby (aka the starlight prince):

Currently is serving as a knight under the GSA. And is no longer Dreamland's protector and has passed that title to (the reformed) King Dedede. After being knighted, he was given the title of "Starlight Prince" since his arrival sparked the "age of peace" in the galaxy (a reference to the Star Sparklers in Star Allies). Unlike his younger self Kirby is a confident and well-spoken knight. He knows his worth and has grown into a fantastic diplomat as well. (MK tells him how proud he is every chance he gets). Kirby's main job in the GSA is snuffing out the corruption that Nightmare & Sir Uther left behind (basically detective & with monsters hunting on the side).

King Fluff (Full name Fluffington Cornelius Patchwork):

The Ruler of Patchland, he serves as head of Trades & Commerce in the galaxy's government). In the (AU) Fluff protects his kingdom by being involved in various trade deals & supplies cloth-related goods. So should anyone attack his kingdom... you're attacking someone else's money. (I based this on the fact that how easy it was to get money in Kirby's Epic Yarn) Plus after his experience with Yin Yarn, he's able to sense a shady guy from a mile away. His political and business savvy has earned him the title: King of Commerce.

So here's an insightful thread of all the human characters from the Kirby mangas or other media that existed either before or besides Ado/Adeleine (and Neichel technically)!

Get ready. This will be a long post and will need to be 2 posts.

Nana: A character from the first ever Kirby manga. She's a waitress at a restaurant (possibly even her own restaurant) in Dreamland and is Kirby's best friend. She's described as a tomboy and gives Kirby both advice and items such as the energy drink to help them out. Curry is a specialty at her restaurant (and it's possible she even created the super spicy cury), and she has a special spice that apperently makes the food from her songs real. She was also added to the manga because the author (Sayori abe) felt like it.

Thorn queen: Also from the first Kirby manga, she works for King Dedede as one of his 4 henchmen. She's said to hate cute girls and has attacked Kirby and, more specifically, Nana with thorns (which were porcupines).

Misc. Villagers:

The final characters from the first manga. Very little to be said about them, they're just random villagers who live in dreamland.

Old man:

This guy is from the second Kirby manga and apperently just sells clocks. Not much to say about them again.

Little girl:

This little girl is from the Japanese educational Kirby and Mario vhs. Idk much about them, either. I think Kirby just asks them if they know where the puppy's mom is, and she says no and goes back to possibly playing hide and seek.

Lavash:

I refuse to say her full name, but she's from the German Detective Kirby comics. I think she hired Kirby and turned out to be a disguise? Idk.

Annette:

Another girl from the Detective Kirby comics. She also hires Kirby and later dies.

That's not a joke. That's actually what happens.

Dr. Hubel:

A guy from the Detective Kirby comics. I think he used to work for the Villain, but that's literally all I know.

Dr. Meinholt:

A villain from the Detective Kirby comics. I think he just brings video game characters from the Kirby universe/series to life? Idk it's confusing.

Tears came to Magolor's eyes as he once again failed to detect the unmistakable energy signature of his friend. King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee had all but given up hope completely as the rioters grew more and more violent outside.

They were all doomed. They were going to break in and kill Magolor and everyone else, and Kirby would never come home. He'd failed.

"Ohhh Maaaaggieee!" A familiar peppy voice said from behind him. Magolor startled, then turned to see Pinkie Pie standing there, smiling like she hadn't just warped into the plane out of nowhere. It still made Magolor's head hurt thinking about how in the hell she did it with no Magic.

"What is it, Pinkie?" He sighed dejectedly. "I found him, Maggie! I found Kirby!"

Magolor froze. Then, he turned and held her face in his hands tightly as he looked seriously into her eyes, trying to ignore her muffled attempts at speaking with her scrunched-up cheeks.

"What?" He demanded, trying not to get his hopes up.

Was there hope, after all?

Dedede, maybe?

Ku: My opponent seems to be a blue penguin with a hammer. Sending a visual, footage and analysis.

Toffee: Despite his cartoony appearance indicating otherwise, this doesn't seem to be an android. I can detect some primitive technology in his hammer, and his physical power seems tremendous. It shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Wizard: The database says this is King Dedede, self-proclaimed king of Dreamland.

Ku: So, someone who must be stopped... wait, I thought monarchy had been abolished worldwide centuries ago!

Wizard: Oh, it has! But Dreamland is on Planet Popstar. So, not our world.

Toffee: These extra-terrestrials just keep getting more and more ridiculous.

Wizard: No need to be so grumpy, Toffee. And you too, Ku! I don't like seeing you so down.

Ku: Not sure I'm happy about a monarch being there. Sorry Wiz, but by definition, royalty exploit those they perceive underneath them.

Wizard: It says here that, while he started out much mores lazy and selfish, he's been making an effort to become a more proactive and fair king to his people. So he doesn't exploit his subjects! Does that make you feel better?

Ku: Somewhat... Oh well, I'll probably feel better once I've beaten him.

Toffee: That's the spirit.

I think the king will be surprised at what meta knight has to say about the photo :3

"Quit tryin' ta get under my skin, would ya?" The King grumbled, getting out of his bedroom to go and do work for the day. There was certainly plenty to do. Opening the door, he jumped back in surprise to see someone already standing in front of it. The knight who had just been mentioned. "Cripes, old man! Don't scare me like that!" Dedede complained.

Metaknight didn't acknowledge the accidental fright he'd caused. "The photo." He stated bluntly, the king blinking in confusion. "Uh..?" Dedede questioned with the sound. The knight held his hand out. "The photo of the Dark Matter. Let me see it." He clarified. The penguin frowned. They really had told him. Did he really need to come all the way here without any warning?

Dedede sighed. "Fine, one second." He told him, ducking back into the room and returning with the picture. The knight snatched it from his hand, looking it over carefully. While the king was used to him being stoic and secretive, he liked to think he generally knew him well enough to read his mood. But right now... he really couldn't. It was like he was carefully guarding his reaction. It started to make him worry.

"Um... Metaknight? You still with me?" The penguin asked, waving at him. Blinking, Metaknight seemed to come back to himself, handing the photo back. "This is the only evidence of a Matter sighting? Nothing else in or around the castle?" He questioned. "We're tryin' not to cause a panic, but no, nothin'. Just this." Dedede confirmed, gesturing with the photo.

A sigh left the knight. Was that relief? "A single Matter after all this time... isn't cause for a wide spread alarm. They are unguided, acting alone. Not, as dangerous as they were." Metaknight explained. The king was shocked by his measured reaction. "Are ya just tryin' ta make me feel better or..?" Dedede hesitated. The knight shook his head. "A Matter acting under directive could have caused much more damage given how far it got without being detected. It was likely acting alone and they have no reason to attack under those circumstances."

The king was utterly bewildered. He'd expected the knight to start working on hunting the Matter down, searching every possible hiding space, not... this. "...are you ok?? Ya've never talked about 'em like they were anything other than major threats." Dedede asked him. The puff flinched despite himself. "...I have, been doing my own research. I've learned that many of my beliefs about them were... off base." Metaknight explained. "Is that what they're havin' ya do fer therapy???" The penguin questioned further.

"It's a personal project." The knight snapped, before calming down. "Be alert, but don't share this sighting any further. Please, I'm asking you to trust in my experience on this." Metaknight insisted. Dedede stared, not sure how to interpret this strange change of heart. "...ok." He relented reluctantly. His friend visibly relaxed. "Thank you. I'll share any updates on the situation with you on my end and I would appreciate if you did the same."

Yeah, I'm just going to add that disclaimer starting with this post--just in case!

Detective Kirby:

I was half expecting to encounter a different King when I arrived. Like, the King of the Forgotten Realm. Some lonely billionaire who had survived the apocalypse.

But here was King Dedede as the other half of me expected.

Or rather, "Forgo Dedede." Forgo? Like I should Forgo this battle? Oh. Like "Forgotten." No, I don't really get it. XD

After the battle, things settled down and King Dedede was back to his usual self. It takes me back to Crystal Shards when he was possessed by the darkness. And, the way he hurled that Waddle Dee into the elevator? Classic Dedede. He's got a good arm on him.

I didn't elect to use the elevator. The Beast Pack horde was after us like the goblins in the mines of Moria and Dedede was staying behind in "You Shall Not Pass" fashion. We were forced into the only path of retreat.

Yeah, forced to retreat into an elevator labeled "Restricted Area." Sounds safe.
