Hey, if I write a version of Get in the Water where it's Amphitrite drowning Peleus for hurting her sister (Thetis), how many of you would be interested to see it?

"The average greek demigod has to live in constant fear of monsters hunting them down" factoid just a statistical error. The average greek demigod will face less than five monsters in their lives if they go looking for trouble. The Hera-hated Heracles, who's better known by his roman name & had to fight like 11757753 monsters over the course of his life, is an outlier adn should not have been counted.

Okay, so for those wondering: I currently have a fic in the planning stages of for Epic (Good Answer 'verse obviously), and in it, there's four minor characters that are hunting down Odysseus for personal reasons. I have the motivation for three of those characters: one of them is either a surviving Trojan or the descendants of one, one is a relative of one of the suitors- thank you @gemfoxplayz and Thea from my rp group for the idea-, and one is a monster hunter who's after Odysseus since he literally turned into a monster. I need a motive for the fourth character.

Brainstorming for a fic. I need three motives for people who would want Odysseus dead. It can't be
Dead crewmate
Guy who survived Troy
A god

So, uh. How does Vellaima come into existence, exactly? Weird divine magic? Wouldn’t be out of place in Greek mythology…
I can't reveal too much, because the next chapter of "I'll become your monster" is abt her conception and there's gonna be a whole fic abt her.
But basically, Odysseus is gonna consume, like, a ton of Poseidon's ichor. Just absolutely lost in the sauce. The thing is, at those quantities, ichor will still hurt even if Poseidon doesn't want it to, and Odysseus'll end up bleeding from his mouth and into Poseidon's body.
Poseidon heals from the wounds, accidentally absorbs Odysseus' blood into himself, at that blood mutates into a weird parasite half-divine monster baby that's growing in his ribcage. Kinda like Athena gestated in Zeus' head, or Dionysus did in Zeus' thigh. They end up cutting her out after a few months, and boom! Vellaima is born.
So yeah. Basically, weird divine magic.

Second chapter of "I'll become your monster" is out! Tried something new with it (lyrics rewrite of Monster) and it's the chapter after which the fic is named. :)

I feel like promoting my Epic Fan Fics a bit, so...
The Good Answer 'verse is an Odyseidon Canon Divergeance AU where, by torturing Poseidon, Odysseus is able to win his favor. It doesn't change much for the events of the musical itself besides Odysseus having a new patron, but things end up coming to a head after the events of the musical that ends up with them becoming weird lovers. The series currently has eight works with seven finished, two more are currently in the works, and many more are in the planning stages, including the finale. The links are under the readmore with their AO3 summaries.
(CONTENT WARNING FOR: Gore, blood, violence, allusions to SA, incorrect bdsm, sexual content (not the alluded SA), characters being mentally unwell, the Olympians being dysfunctional. There's specific tags on the fics themselves.)
Good Answer: Odysseus has succeeded in doing what very few have: he's bested a god. More precisely, the one that has been keeping him away from his home for the past 10 years. But Poseidon is left unmoved, and refuses to let him back home even now. One would think that resorting to drastic measures- such as, say, stabbing the Lord of Tides with his own trident- would do the trick. But it's never that simple with gods. Especially not one as monstrous as Poseidon.
yes my love your monologue about how ruthlessness is mercy upon ourselves is utterly terrifying and will definitely strike fear into the heart of that dumb mortal who dared blind your son now will you please come to bed: Amphitrite loves her husband, she really does. But damn if he wasn't annoying sometimes.
Absolution: When Odysseus unexpectedly gained Poseidon's favor (by grievously harming him but apparently that wasn't important), he didn't know what to expect. Both Athena and Hermes, once they had given him assistance, left him to actually do his task alone. They never watched.
With a family like this, who needs enemies?: It doesn't matter how well he took it: Poseidon still got stabbed in the chest several times with his own trident, and needs to physically recover from the whole ordeal. In the meantime, his family visits.
Can yuo stab me again: Odysseus has become the monster. And Poseidon is a monsterfucker. (Don't be fooled by the title and summary: this is not a humorous story.) (Additional warning for this one: It's the only fic in the whole thing that's rated E right now. So, you know, don't read if you're a minor.)
(Adjusting) Homophrosyne: Odysseus and Penelope talk about his relationship to the god of the sea, amongst other things.
Queenly Matters: While her husband is away doing who-knows-what with Poseidon, Penelope gets a divine visitor of her own.
I'll become your monster: Calypso curses Penelope, and pushes Odysseus' strange partnership with the God of the Sea to a point of no return.

Chapter one of the new installment of the Good Answer 'verse is up! In which Calypso curses Penelope, Odysseus reaches his fucking limit, and Poseidon's gonna get his heart literally eaten out.
