You were a Disney cast member??? OMG, that's so cool!!! I'd love details (without sacrificing character integrity, if you can; mind you, I don't even know if you were a character performer) about your experience! I've watched a ton of videos by former cast members, and they all seem so sweet and cool!

I was! I worked at three places: the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Magic Kingdom, attractions at Test Track, and merchandise in Galaxy's Edge. My favorite was definitely getting to be a fairy godmother at BBB.

It was exhausting working there, ngl. The guests can be downright awful to you if they don't get their way. At BBB, I had less negative interactions than at the other two but they still happen!

The best part about working there is making magic though. The negatives are loud but the positives stay with you. My favorite thing I got to do was sign several autograph books from the little princesses I did makeovers for at the Boutique. The kids were truly so wonderful to work with and I had fun getting to have those interactions with them. 💙

While staying at Port Orleans Riverside I saw the horse and carriages go by and it’s always so magical to see these 10/10 cast members go by!

Port Orleans riverside and Fort Wilderness both offer carriage rides and are a great way to see the resorts!

[something I think about daily ever since I left working at Disney World]

My coworker [a very nice elder mind you]: you know you're actually really pretty and so is your hair.

Me,who has self esteem issues and genuinely can't tell if I'm pretty: oh my God thank you?!!!??? 😭?!!

I miss getting compliments from coworkers while I was in that God awful uniform and somehow still managed to get compliments of how pretty I was. (I'm still in denial)

Working in Batuu can truly make you feel like an other-worldly being. Anytime I say "bright suns" or "rising moons" (which is our phrases for good morning/afternoon or goodnight) I get stared at by the guests like I'm a crazy person

There are exceptions where guests will play along and say it back to me, or just acknowledge that it's a normal saying in the area. Just 8 times out of 10, it's the other way

i didn’t understand the anakin skywalker hype until i saw a tik tok of one of the anakin performers at disney pleasantly nodding to everyone??? and then i went “oh yeah if that was a woman,,, i understand now”

also ngl astrocadet’s anakin cosplay,,, anything he cosplays,,, but that’s another topic,,,,
