In the process of creating a thrall, the illithid halves the creature's intelligence, and then adds 1d6 to the creature's new intelligence to create its final intelligence. This means that, for creatures at 10 intelligence or below, being thralled by an illithid has a chance to permanently increase their intelligence score, with a higher chance of an increase of intelligence the lower the original intelligence.

This process, notably, does not modify the creature's body or non-intelligence statistics, thus meaning that any intelligence gained is simply a net gain for the creature's statistical total. There is also a stage in the middle where the creature's intelligence is halved, but the 1d6 extra intelligence has not been added on. So, for example, if you are an 8-intelligence Barbarian, you will have approximately 24 hours of having the intelligence of a giant weasel, or perhaps a single cranium rat. This is a normal thing to do to people.

Sometimes I remember that for some reason Chayanne out of all the fucking eggs was the one specifically that got the threat that if they don't leave their parents would get hurt and had to be the one to tell the other eggs and got blamed for that for a hot minute, then when they got yoinked to Purgatory he was shoved into the center display and he squeezed himself into the corner when watcher eye fucker, Elquackity & that eye worker were all in the same space as him and like mfs why the fuck were you all there scaring him specifically you fucks like leave him alone LEAVE HIM ALONE and then not only that but the fucking eye guys specifically targeted him with a threat over Luffy because he was Phil's assigned egg and I want to fucking explode.

Like I might not like a lotta of the antagonistic groups on the island, but for the specific reason of singling out Chayanne to torment, I have a personal vendetta against the Purgatory Watcher and look I don't know if the Watcher sent the threat specifically, but it really seems fucking so. Like you fucking molded charred snappable prick, you leave my little duckie egg with self-esteem issues alone, you fuck.

I might not like the Federation and Cucurucho and the Codes, and whatever else other morally corrupt groups are out there at this point, but if I need to cheer any of them on to have the Watcher and his supporters get skinned and vivisected, finely minced and grounded to dust, and have whatever worthless remains be evaporated permanently from this plane of existence to the next then yeah I would gladly do so. My boy did not deserve whatever the fuck that was and I don't know when that plot point comes back but I hope specifically that all their plans crashes and burns horribly and I say this with extreme prejudice in that I hope they fucking suffer and choke <3 😁

New MagnusThemes layout

That's right y'all, after like 5+++ years of using the previous theme haha. Honestly, the old one was lovely and I really liked it, but after 5 years of Tumblr changes, it just wasn't keeping up with the times anymore. Therefore, I decided to make this new one while pretending that midterms and research responsibilities don't exist bc priorities  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The new layout also uses zero jQuery throughout the entire blog (yes, I redid the Isotope filtering to get rid of it too!) in an effort to reduce loading times.

Let me know if there are any bugs please!

okay i still need to write out the drabble for it but how does your muse react to watching the found footage of aisling fighting moira? (details below the cut!)

so it's this shaky iphone camera deal, the person holding it is both excited and terrified, he's clearly with his friends and watching through the window of a house. it's pitch black, but it shouldn't be, not at 4PM, and judging by the school uniforms, they're only just after getting home from school. you can hear hushed whispers in the background, when suddenly an orange light illuminates the left side of the sky, crackles of fiery energy spreading through what seems to be a pitch black fog.

"oisín! oisín, let's go, connor's outside--"

"no! no, look, lookit, somethin's happening--"

the camera shakes more as they all rush outside onto the town square. curtains twitch, doors crack open, frightened and awed faces gaze down the street as a figure quietly approaches from the docks. a man with shoulder-length black hair rushes out after the figure, catches her arm, and tries to tell her something. the figure turns around, and in the dim glow of the headlights of his car, the camera zooming in on the blurry but clearly recognizable face of aisling. muffled, their speech is indecipherable, aside from one snippet of dialogue:

"aisling, you're not ready for this, just come--"

"neither is she."

then she yanks her arm free and continues walking down the street. she's just about to walk past the camera-boy when suddenly the skies seem to withdraw, and a black bolt of jagged energy rips from the fog, aiming directly for her. she lifts a hand, and a shield of blazing amber light expands, deflecting it and spreading to cover the lad holding the camera. in his shaky aim, he moves the camera to show that her eyes are ablaze, her heart and veins glowing the same hue as the energy shield.

"what the FUCK?!"

a second, third and fourth bolt emerge, peppering the streets, casting blooms of concrete and tarmac and leaving behind craters. in the split second before impact, aisling rotates her wrist and draws her other hand back towards her. when the dust settles, impossibly, nobody is harmed. aisling lowers her hands, projects a single blast of energy down towards the road, and soars skyward, intercepting several bolts and casting a radiant wave of rippling orange energy across the fog. there, it lingers, echoing in her wake as she returns to earth and continues her approach. she's just reached the square, when a woman robed in flowing black and silver emerges, hair a rich auburn much like aisling's, and the camera immediately turns to static.

a separate piece of footage, shot by the same boy, shows two figures battling on the cliffs of moher. in a flurry of pitch black and blazing orange, it becomes apparent that while evenly matched, aisling is beginning to lose speed and hope, leading to moira gaining confidence and the upper hand. it isn't until a bolt of cerulean blue floods the far distant horizon (the tesseract being used by loki) when aisling is finally given a burst of strength, that allows her to slice out with a burning hand, and the air behind moira wavers in response. a single, forceful blast of energy, and moira tumbles back, disappearing into thin air as the rip heals back up again.

the boy holding the camera begins to run forward, along with a number of people seen before in the first video. by the time they get to her, aisling's on her knees, being cradled by a weeping couple who later turn out to be eoin's parents. the camera cuts off just as aisling collapses and the crowd descends to help bring her back home.

I like that they match each others' dramatic freak. "Life partner" and "my forever," like come on. These two are one drink away from, "I'd die for her....I'd kill for her. Either way, what bliss" lmao.

But for real, I again have to say that I'm glad Colby found someone who is both receptive and willing to match his simp energy. Many happy returns to them both!
