Pokerus AU: Horror-Lite Version
I have more-or-less fallen in love with @monsoon-of-art’s Pokerus AU, with one exception... The mass feralization. I do enjoy that it’s eventually reversed, but I admit all that darkness? Not quite my cuppa tea. The part before that, where everyone’s fully changed physically but more-or-less unaffected mentally, is my favorite... And then I realized that the Frenzy, in PLA canon, isn’t crazy-widespread as it was in the Pokerus AU. And I could work with that. Thus, the Horror-Lite Version (name tentative) was born!
The core idea of it is, like the normal Pokerus AU, the distortions have an effect on humans, changing them into Pokemon. But unlike the Pokerus AU, it still sends Pokemon into a frenzy. The Noble Pokemon still have to be calmed with Balms and battles, but so do their Wardens. ...what, did you think I was going to remove the Feral angle entirely? Heck no - if the distortion can drive any Alpha and Noble mad, I see no reason why it can’t do the same to a fully transformed human (or heck, even a normal Pokemon that’s particularly unlucky). Outside of that, it’d more-or-less follow the general plot of PLA, with the exception of the Ride Pokemon also being vulnerable to Frenzying. The final part of the main story - from the player’s exile to the credits - is also up for change, since the situation could be VASTLY different (also, Kamado is being a jerk. A logical jerk, but still a jerk). As for why the portals have an effect on both species? Well, that’s admittedly in the works, but my operating theory is that at least SOME of them don’t connect to the “present” Pokémon world. Instead, they connect to the PMD world - a world where humans don’t really exist. I’d say they all connect to the PMD world, but we have to account for Ingo somehow. I’m not sure about reversion after the final battle - while any remaining instances of Frenzy/Feral would be cleared, I’m not sure about turning everyone human again... thinking not though? Yes I’m a weird one. And who knows, maybe some revert but not EVERYONE. It’s up in the air!

How'd you get Tumblr famous with your comic? I need advice
Oh I am the wroooong person to ask XD Also I don't consider myself "Tumblr famous." My comics' popularity have grown over the last few years, yeah, but I wouldn't say I'm where you're saying I am lol. MewtwoAndMe is well-known within the pokemon/mew/two community, but that's about it. Am I being too humble? Probably. Maybe my stuff is more popular than I think it is or what I give it credit for. But trust me, being this well known isn't all it's cracked up to be. Sometimes, I miss when I started out as a small creator and wish I could go back to that...It's nice to have this many people enjoy my content and all, but I never asked for it, or even wanted to be this big, but overtime, it's something that just happens.
This isn't the first time I was asked this question, and I've ignored them all up until now, so forgive me if I sound a little annoyed, it's not at you personally, but I'm gonna be real with ya here ok? I'm speaking to everyone who reads this too.
I don't do what I do to be "Tumblr famous." I don't do what I do for the likes or to gain followers. I do this for fun, for me, cause I just want to.
When I first made this blog, I went into it with ZERO expectations! I didn't care if my blog blew up or took off. I just wanted to bring my creative imagination to life and share it with people. Adding another space to the Tumblr mew/two multiverse for yall to escape to when the real world gets to be too much. I like telling my stories filled with big psychic cats and sharing them with all of you. If I can make just one person laugh or cry (or both) with the comics I make, that's all I need. I don't care if it's only 10 people watching or 1,000+ Numbers mean nothing to me. I feel fulfilled knowing I can brighten someone's day with a shitpost or wholesome slice of life or keep them on the edge of their seat with angst.
So I'm sorry, but I don't really think there's any advice I can give you. I don't find the whole popularity and/or seeking people's validation thing important

what i would personally want from another DR game
(note: not all at once, since some of these are Mutually Exclusive in fact ha)
realistically:
preferably not a Killing Game. this sounds like Blasphemy but DR was never "about" Killing Games. i'll accept it if it happens, but i'll be Very Skeptical. there's plenty to say about that universe and its themes without throwing another new 16 into the mix. leave that to the Fangans, as i think only Fans can produce something that feels fully "new" w/r/t Killing Games now
preferably uses mostly characters we already know with some great additions. a la UDG
could be serious or a spinoff. racing game, RPG, rhythm game, fighting game, game where we use the Kumas like Pokemon...
if a spinoff, would prefer it still has something of a Narrative to it where everyone's somewhat in character, even if it's silly. think Usami forcing Kamukura to participate in Dangan Kart and he does because he's Bored or some dumb shit like that. give me that Stupid Content
just...another game with Kodaka's involvement specifically. this is filed under "realistically" because Kodaka has recently stated he would like to do it, and that after v3, he was on break from Danganronpa, not Done With It 5ever. considering he still does Birthday Posts and constantly answers questions about DR, he is clearly quite attached still, but ultimately by his own admission it's up to Spikechun
non-realistically:
End of HPA/adjacent timeline. IF, Everyone Is Here UTDP/Summer Camp etc
as a corollary to the above, would prefer that it is not V3's timeline. and V3 is, in fact, a Separate Timeline/"setting reset" according to Kodaka. it is not a retcon/continuation of previous games. BUT: i think that world would be best explored in novels/manga via the Rantaro series Kodaka wanted to do. BUT: i think if it is explored, it will be in a game
further: would prefer an Everyone Is Here game. it would unite the fandom, from old-time fans to folks who came in mostly thru V3 and stick to it
however, of these personal wish fulfillment settings, i think the most realistic of them is an IF-like timeline, esp if released on the 15th or 20th anniversaries. what better way to Celebrate than with everyone from DR1 being alive
Kyoko game that's like Ace Attorney because i don't know it'd just be funny. can you imagine. can we use Komaru to channel Yui
i want a Mukuro game but that's not going to Happen
unless???
???:
female protagonist that lives. for real this time. could be a new one or not but the Universe Needs Balance. Komaru and Kaede need one more for their team!!!
a UDG-type game in that it Expands on an existing character who desperately needed it. this is under ??? because i imagine no one expected Toko to get her own game that transformed her from kind of a Joke Character into a Fully Fledged Baby. even Kodaka admits he didn't know what to do with her in the latter half of DR1, and she became one of the most Beloved Girls in the franchise in her game
Miu:
Miu
please Kodaka
give her the Arc she deserves
pls............

I understand that your posts about Pokemon are to explain why the games are in the direction they are in, but I find that they don't address the legitimate complaints and frustrations people have about the game. Mainly the lack of polish and the amount of bugs that are in the recent games. Don't you think fans are right to air their grievances and expecting something better in terms of quality out of a large IP like Pokemon? Don't you think at least the way Pokemon Company is scheduling new generations needs to change in some way to give Game Freak devs more time to work? The complaints that many fans are having are real and genuine.
I only answer the questions that people ask me, not the questions that others might wish someone asked me. If you want me to answer questions about the legitimate complaints fans have, you can always ask. Here are my answers to your questions:
Tumblr media
Fans always retain the right to complain about what they do and do not like about the games they play. They can say whatever it is they want and I will always respect their right to ask for whatever they want. Fans do not have the right to expect that the developer or publisher do what they ask - it always remains the decision of the publisher and developer to gather the feedback and decide how to act on it. What the fans get is a value proposition - the publisher offers this game at a certain price and the fans decide whether they feel the game is worth the price. If certain fans do not feel there is sufficient value in the game, they are by no means obligated to buy the game or play the game. In fact, I encourage any player who feels dissatisfied with a game franchise to spend their time and money elsewhere. There are far too many good games out there that don't get enough attention to waste time on a game that isn't meeting my needs.
Tumblr media
I think that Game Freak, being joint owner of the Pokemon Company alongside Creatures and Nintendo, generally has plenty of control over their own schedule and destiny. I don't think they are being forced to do this against their will, I think they set what they believe is a reasonable schedule.
I think that player expectation that each successive generation Pokemon game support every pokemon ever made is unfeasible in the long term.
I think that every game release, Pokemon or no, is a delicate balancing act between adding enough new and engaging content and polishing the experience enough to reduce overall player frustration to manageable levels.
I think that players should offer their feedback (especially about the things they dislike), but should not have the expectation their demands will be met.
I think that players always retain the right to walk away from the franchise if they don't feel their needs are being met. I wish more players would exercise that right, rather than continuing to buy the game they dislike. I don't think that's healthy.
I think that the company has the right to make what decisions they want, as long as they are ok with accepting the consequences (financial, social, and otherwise) of those decisions. Most of the time, they are ok with it. I don't recall seeing the Pokemon Company or Game Freak issue an apology for something they did.

Charles Chois Unreliable Assistant
tw. fighting, cursing (there's nothing here that's not in lookism)
content. reader is a highly skilled high school student that just wants to live. unfortunately, charles choi wants someone of her strength and intelligence to work for him.
pairings. none, reader is in high school
word count. 1.7k
a/n. im gonna continue this, please enjoy what here so far
Tumblr media
You really weren't expecting this. Two men who had heard about your fighting prowess came at you with no warning. One had demonic eyes and the other blonde hair and soon-to-be broken glasses. They were both dripping with expensive brands from head to toe. People like them pissed you off.
All you wanted was to get home. You had already had a long enough day at school and you just wanted to finish the short commute back home. Instead, you were interrupted by these men with a challenge. They both immediately came at your tired self and within minutes—using the anger you felt from them interrupting the best part of the song you had been blasting in your headphones—took them down with barely a scratch on you.
While they lay on the ground, you begin to walk off. You didn't hurt them too badly, just enough to be left alone. But, as you look at them both waiting at the front gates of your school, you partially wish you had hospitalized them.
You cut him off. "Don't care, go away." You leave, walking to the train station as the pair follow closely behind. "I said, 'go away,' assholes." You say, a glare across your features while you sit on a bench and wait for your train.
"Join HNH." The dark-haired man says again, the blonde snickering beside him.
"No." You say flatly, getting up when your train pulls into the station. You leave them and they don't bother stopping you. The next day is the same, only this time they ask you to get in their car.
Of course, you refuse, not interested in the possibility of kidnapping. The next day is the same. And so is the day after. Each day they show up until you're fed up and go with them, giving it a chance to get them to finally leave you be.
It doesn't work. Their boss is just like them, refusing to take no for an answer. You say no over and over. You don't care if he says you'll only have to fight on occasion and in the meantime you'll mostly be doing menial work for him and pose as his assistant. You don't care if he says it'll be easy and it'll mostly be simple paperwork. You don't care when he claims you'll get to fight strong opponents on occasion—fighting hasn't been particularly fun for you in years after you were able to take down just about any number of strong people. What does peak your interest, however, is when he brings up the salary. Over ten million won a month to sit in an office and fight the occasional gangster? What a rich sucker. You can count yourself in.
The blonde, who was now introduced to you as Goo, laughs. Through his laughter he says, "You should've just started with the money!" You couldn't agree more.
About a week later and Chairman Choi still hasn't called you into work. You aren't complaining. You get the same amount of money either way. Though, you are complaining when you're in class, trying not to zone out as your teacher drones on about whatever formula, and the blonde man arrives. He interrupts the lesson, pulling you out while the teacher screams at him.
You barely manage to grab your backpack before he drags you out of class, through the hallways and into his car. "It's your first day, aren't you excited!" Goo shouts, beginning the drive.
"Not particularly," you mumble, rummaging through the bag on your lap. You pull out your DS, setting it up to play. You go quiet with the occasional remark on something interesting that happened.
Goo takes glances over at you. After a few minutes—and you screaming because your Snivy fainted—he asks, "What are you playing?"
"Pokemon Black/White." You say, having your Munna put your opponent to sleep. "Pokemon is like my favourite thing, I know everything about it, it's so much more fun than all the fighting you guys do..." You smile when you win your battle, cheering yourself on.
Goo makes a turn while he double-takes. "You don't find fighting fun?" You shrug. "Like, at all?" You shrug again. "How? You're so strong and you just-"
You cut him off, "It's too easy." You say looking up as he turns into the parking lot. "I've been able to beat pretty much any amount of people at any level of strength since I was twelve. It's just boring." He still struggles to understand, trying to form a sentence. You just giggle, "Don't worry, bubs, you'll get to where I am someday."
You skip right past Goo and into the building, attempting to remember where Charles' office was on your own. On the way, however, you get very much lost and accidentally run into a man with dyed pink-hair. You can't figure out where you recognize him from, but you're certain you've seen him somewhere.
"I'm so sorry, mister!" You shout, bowing at him. "I got lost trying to find the chairman's office! This place is just so big and I wasn't paying attention, I am so sorry!" He brushes it off and smiles, saying he can help you there since it’s where he was headed anyways. You thank him and you both walk down to the office quietly as you ponder where you recognize him from. Then it hits you. “You’re that popstar! Uhm, what was your name again…” You shout the first bit, humming the second as you try to remember.
He just smiles a bit, “It’s DG.” You nod along, finally losing that itch in your brain about him. “It’s not often that I’m that unrecognizable.” He laughs a little to himself. You just shrug it off, saying you just don’t really like his music.
You catch yourself, all your energy returning in an instant. “Oh! I’m so sorry! Your music isn’t bad, it’s just not my personal taste! Like you have great vocals and lyrics and stuff, I just prefer other stuff and-” He cuts you off with a full on laugh. He surprises himself with it, not usually finding this much entertainment in people.
He lets you know that it’s okay, that he understands, and directs you towards Charles Choi’s office. He walks in behind you as you shout. “What the hell, old man? I was in class!”
The chairman looks at you and then DG. “I see you two have met.”
“Really? Are you sure?” You ask, sarcasm dripping off your tongue. “Now answer the question! What the actual hell?” Your arms cross when he just runs through what you need to do today. He says you need to take calls, arrange meetings, do paperwork, and so on. “Okay, well half of that sounds like something a secretary should do.”
“Ten million won.” He says and your attitude immediately changes, saying you’ll get right on it. All you see as you leave to your own desk is the popstar taking a seat in front of the chairman. You’re curious but not enough to pry.
You sit at the desk, smoothing it over and pulling out your device to return to your game. It only takes a few minutes for a call to come in. It interrupts the scene you were in and you groan before picking it up, immediately switching into a cheery tone. “Hello, Chairman Choi’s assistant speaking. How may I help you?” It’s someone from another company. A rival company, you think. They request a meeting with Charles Choi. You pretend to ruffle through papers before saying. “His next availability is November 31st. Will that work for you?”
They don’t even question it, positive that it’ll work out. You restrain yourself from snickering while telling the caller to have a nice day. Unfortunately, when they hang up, your laugh falls out full force and while walking by, Gun can’t help but question it. You brush him off, returning to your game, beginning to enjoy your job.
What you’ve written on the papers is nonsensical, too. It’s written perfectly so that the chairman wouldn’t question it until he really thought it over. You are so good at bullshiting the entire day that by the end, Charles Choi praised you for being so efficient that you could do all this work and still have breaks to enjoy your time. Thanking him, you head home, fully aware that within the week, that praise will turn to criticism.
It’s not like you mind. You humiliated yourself in front of a famous singer and, even better, might have made a friend. It’s dubious, but Goo did ask for your number and text you things such as, “Can he please shut the fuck up?” whenever Gun spoke. So, it may be a budding friendship.
The next morning, a weekend, your one time to get a reasonable amount of sleep, you see multiple texts from Goo telling you that you have to come in. You groan and get out of bed, almost slamming your head against the nearest wall.
Goo manages to boost your mood just a little when he sends one more message. “I wanna play a fun little game on Gun.” Brushing your teeth, you ask him what it is and the three dots appear for a minute until. “We see who can annoy him the most by the end of the day. I already set up a points system. Winner gets a free shopping trip and dinner from the loser.”
You make the bet, confident in your abilities. I mean, you do annoy your parents daily. How hard could it be? You look over the list.
Gritting teeth, 10 points.
Clenching fists, 15 points.
Leaving the room to calm down, 100 points.
The list goes on but the one that piques you interest is your goal. It’s for 1000 points, effectively securing a win. Getting Gun to start a fight with you in the building. You know even Goo hasn’t achieved this one, given the fact that Gun always keeps his professionalism in the workplace. But, on your second day of work, what’s better that making the impossible, possible?

I can't figure out this spacing thing and I'm not about to find out. So hey! I'm Allul (They/Them, trying to figure that thing out)! I'm that fucking creature that's flooding your dash with posts about a boat girl and whatever other shenanigans my mind decides to get up to. I'd say I should apologize but really the longer you know me the more you realize this is just how I live my life
I'm 26 (Not for long) and a terrible chronic gacha addict that probably should've stopped a long time ago. But since i haven't I now have adopted boats (as this blog shows) along with....
androids
horse girls
very bisexual prisoners
food personifications
goblins
cinnamon rolls
and plenty of other random things that go in and out of my mind on the daily. This may come at a surprise to plenty of people but I literally haven't even been here a year yet (shocking I know). Most of my writing career has been either super bad fanfics, skype rp (yes this sadly was part of my life), and forums of recently. Only after being dragged here by a few friends did I realize what I was missing out on and I'm glad I joined! I promise you I'm not intimidating as I may seem (If I even come off as intimidating) and really I'm a DM away from blowing your eardrums off about whatever you want. Like lets be real my first blog here was a goddamn pokemon. I think that says everything you need to know.
Anyway next is checks notes about myself and that's problematic. Because I have no idea how to do that :3. According to my friends this meme explains it best
Tumblr media
But as expected writing is my hobby (go figure) and beyond that is probably video games. A lot and a ALOT of RPGS, Fighting Games, and whatever is out there to get my serotonin running. Currently I'm down in the mines playing Granblue Fantasy Relink, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising (are you noticing the trend), and dabbling in some other ventures (Gundam Versus if you want to know how niche my tastes get. I also collect plushes!
Tumblr media
in line with my crippling Granblue addiction music CD's!
Tumblr media
But yeah if it wasn't obvious I love talking about literally anything. My interests are kinda all over the place but most people can vouch that I'm a damn good listener. And that includes plotting even if my mentality usually is just a "fuck it we ball one" rather than really planning it out (I do love planning too! But sometimes you really just gotta go off and never stop). If you don't find me here on NJ's Blog well don't worry I have like 11 more as well. Featuring...
Morgan le Fay (Fate) (@talesofrainandstars_
Melusine (Also from Fate) (@robustdragonheart)
Nian (Arknights) (@unfetteredfreedom)
Mika ("Archive that may be Blue") (@witchoftrinity)
Architect (Girls' Frontline) (@explosivedesire)
Fenie (Granblue Fantasy) (@sourceoftheflame)
Miyoi Okunoda (Touhou) (@geidonteispostergirl)
"Sparkle" (Honkai Stars Rails) @sparklingsplendor
Hiroi Kikuri (Bocchi the Rock) (@sickhackbassist)
My OC Protag from Armored Core 6 "Raven" (@echoesofcoral)
Beyond that I'm always in Discord if you just want to chat or anything else. You can also find me on twitter where I rant about the most craziest things and cry when my favorites in gachas actually get content (it doesn't happen often). Other then that I have no idea how to end this so here's a picture of my dog
Tumblr media
anyway I think I've ranted long enough. Looking forward to talking with everyone more and anyone else who is willing to put up with my muses!"

Did you get a request? It's General relationship hcs for Cyrus, Drayden, Grimsley, Colress with gn s/o. Thanks!
yes i just received it! i will say that this short of a turn-around is very rare; anyone requesting should expect about a day or two, i just happen to have a LOT of free time rn lol!
also, bc this ended up being much longer than i anticipated, i'm splittng this up into 2 parts. so expect grimsley & colress to come out within the next day or so! thank you so much for requesting :)
characters: cyrus (gen iv), drayden (gen v).
content: gn reader, established relationship, mostly feel-good stuff w/ a little angst in cyrus' hcs. reader is an antagonist in cyrus' hcs, & an elite 4 member in drayden's.
tw: none.
CYRUS
Tumblr media
you grew up with him in sunyshore. i imagine this timeline's cyrus is softer, if only because you were there with him through everything the rejection of his peers, the rejection of his parents—they all hurt less when you were there to pick up the pieces.
he's brilliant with technology. if you ever ask him for anything, even as a playful request, he'll try his best to make it happen.
he doesn't understand emotions, but he knows what they mean. so when you come to him, crying or upset about something that happened, he tries his best to comfort you.
you storm into cyrus' office, still battered from your battle with that annoying "hero" from twinleaf. "i thought i was stronger!" you rant. cyrus silently wheels himself out from behind his desk, and opens his arms. you fall into them, letting all of your frustrations out. you stop when he starts patting your head roughly. you shake his hand off. "what are you doing?" he doesn't blush easily, but he's coming close to it. "mars said that people like to be comforted this way," he says. despite your anger, you laugh. "not like you're trying to comfort a growlithe," you tease. he avoids your gaze as his face grows pink.
cyrus also tries his best to express his love for you in physical actions. he's comfortable with movement, not with words. he always has a hand on you—on your thigh when you're sitting next to each other, against your waist that day at the spear pillar.
when he's taken by giratina to the distortion world, he doesn't expect you to follow him, but you do anyway. he tries his best to convince you to go back with them, since he wants you to experience the world, but you refuse.
"leave me here!" cyrus yells, the first expression of intense emotion you've heard in a long time. "you don't deserve to be left here! there's so much to see!" you shake your head, still holding onto him. the hero and cynthia stare at you, wordless, and you know that you may seem stubborn. but you can't leave him behind. cyrus seems to know this. you feel his breath hitch with an aborted sob, and look up, surprised to see tears filling his eyes. even he is shocked, as he frees a hand to wipe furiously at them. "why?" he asks, his voice choked. "the world i desire is the world that makes you happy," you reply. "we'll be together until the very end." with that, the hero and cynthia reluctantly let the two of you go. you know you'll likely never see the real world again, but as cyrus tightens his grip around your waist, you know that this was worth every moment.
DRAYDEN
Tumblr media
you meet drayden through the pokemon league. he's not the best with expressing his feelings (as an older man, he's basically a stone wall) so it's hard to tell when he's crushing on someone and when he simply finds them to be a good friend.
and then he shows up to your door, having memorized all of your favorite sweets, hobbies, and books, and gives you a thoughtful gift to express his affection.
when i tell you that this man is a gentleman, i mean he is the epitome of one. picking you up at your house for dates? check. making sure you don't touch a single door? check. elbow held out every time you go into the world? check.
"drayden, is this really necessary?" you ask. he stands in front of you, hand held out with a pokemon league car behind him. he promised to take you out to the most wonderful restaurant opelucid city has to offer, but you didn't think that he was serious. his face remains passive, but he still tilts his head to the side like a confused lillipup. "of course. is it so bad to treat my partner like the royalty they are?"
expect training every single day, both for you and your pokemon. drayden wants you to be the best version of yourself, and while he doesn't subject you to his (alleged) 10,000 push-ups, sit-ups, and squats a day, he still makes sure you eat healthy and push yourself & your pokemon to your limit.
when you lose, drayden is there to help you figure out what went wrong. he's got a lot of advice to give, so no matter what difficulties you go through, he always has something to tell you that makes things seem at least a little better.
he's big on acts of service. there's the obvious door holding and making sure you take care of yourself. but he also does the simplest things, like making you cups of hot tea when league work has you stressed, or cooking you dinner when you come home. this only intensifies when team plasma comes into play.
"i can take care of myself!" you exclaim. drayden stands in front of you, barring the way out from the gym. behind him, you can see the plasma frigate moving overhead, bathing opelucid city in subzero temperatures. he shakes his head. "i know you can. but i cannot take care of myself unless i know that you are safe." "i can't just stand here and watch as people destroy the city i love!" with a final show of strength, you manage to make it past him, and he reluctantly follows you into the city. still, you're sure you're not imagining the way he seems to put haxorous directly in front of you, putting you out of the line of fire.

(Although reminder that my art can & will be 13+ as it will contain things like g0r3, Cannibalism, & even death, I'm just uncomfy with anyone under 13 actually interacting with me due to my past experience back on Screb... So yeh erm... that's why I'm here....? (Well not rlly, I have known about Tumblr for a long time, except I only made an acc this year due to a frend of mine (Ashe) making an acc on here, so I thought "Let's do the same thing" & here we are)
(Funfact: I'm quite anti-social irl & only have like... 2 irl frends but I only talk to one-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My TOS (You will see it a lot in my art-based posts)
Bubs' TOS: Plz don't repost/steal, trace, or recolor my art WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! If you do, I'll take yur femur and pelvis.. SO, DON'T THINK ABOUT IT! (The PNS on my blog's pinned post clearly means "Please No Steal" plz follow that rule.) If you do post my art on anything like yur blog or somewhere else (With my permission) PLEASE CREDIT ME!
So yeh, if you my any see a PNS in my drawings, that means it says, "Plz No Steal". DO NOT SEAL MY ART!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DNI If you do any of these:
Taking my art w/o permission (This includes Tracing, copying, recoloring, or just straight up saying it's your art. Bcs I take lots of time making art & you taking my art w/o permission hurts me) (It will not only matter if it was made for you & only you but plz frikin credit me if you post it)
Being weird to me or my characters/designs. (Just... don't... I'm AroAce (+ a Minor) & that makes me uncomfortable tbh... Look even if I do make a character with a certain body type/looks that's kinda "sus", does not allow you to make weird comments about them at all)
The average hate comments, harassment, bullying, & spamming/threats thing. We all know those 4, right? Just be a frikin decent person for crying out loud. (You can dislike me & my art all you want, idc tbh. Just don't go harassing me on multiple levels to the point IT WILL MAKE ME HAVE A MENTAL BREAKDOWN!) (Also, these 4 count for my frends here. Again, be a decent person. I'm watching you..) (Also, this rule includes nor respecting me, just plz respect everyone with kindness... Thanks.)
Pestering/threatening me to draw you smtn. (I work hard on my drawings + I have a life outside of here, so don't expect me to draw you smtn since I only draw for my frends & myself. If you really want art from me, pay in art, idc how bad the art is, art is art & I have no biases when it comes to it as everyone has their own style.)
LGBTQ-Phobes/Menaces to certain groups of ppl who did nothing wrong but exist. (This is a LGBTQ+ Safe place)
Creeps, Weirdos, & ppl who ship problematic ships. (Like don't be any of those plz... Especially the weirdos who like children or animals WAY TOO MUCH.)
Breaking any of these DNI Rules can get you blocked BY ME! So be careful...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My Mutuals/Friends:
@stridesthroughashes (Ashe/Oregon), @mor-meowcat (Abi), @viellohi (Vie), @somepersonyouknow (Mia), @spiasshdown (Splesh).
(4 of them are literally from Screb & only one I know IRL- It's a whole bag of worms lol-)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So yeh... Thats its rlly for this post... Hope you enjoyed yur stay, & remember, always stay a goober! Even in the toughest times.
(Art is by me btw, Plz don't take. :( )

🖤 warnings: day drinking, an encounter with the past, my deep love hatred for chris bang, oooooh they liiiike each other ooooh-🖤
🛵Series Masterlist
connect with me! / masterlist
It takes the rest of the afternoon for you to realize that the lights inside gym match the time of day outside.
You hadn't even thought about it. Honestly, you'd all but forgotten you were inside, since the lights shine so brightly and the air is so fresh and the plants around you thrive. It feels like any meadow you've visited before, and so when the sun begins to set, it takes you a while to realize that the sun shouldn't even be setting.
One of the boys mentions something about it already being close to dinnertime, and you do notice the lights dimming, turning golden like the setting sun. It's evening now, and as the light outside fades, the artificial light inside the gym does, too. It must keep the Pokemons' circadian rhythms intact, and it probably helps keep the boys on track just as much.
They've really thought of everything, here. They might never need to go outside, if they don't want to. Their own haven, just their Pokemon and their little apartments and them.
You can see the appeal.
But as the day threatens to end, you know that you need to go.
It's not like you can stay here drinking bottomless mimosas and laying in the grass until your next meal, although the eight of them seem content to do just that. You have a job to get back to, a client to make up with, and an entire world to explore.
These guys are nice. But you have you own life. And as much as they're welcoming you in as a guest, you don't fucking live here.
When you tell them as much, you're met, much to your shock, with protests.
"You can at least stay for dinner," says Minho.
"And anyway, didn't you say you crashed your scooter?" adds Jisung. "You can't go back to the city without it."
"Shouldn't drive drunk," says Jeongin.
You look around the circle, expecting to see at least one expression of indifference, seeing as you're a stranger who's been in their midst for not even twelve hours, but every one of them is staring back at you stubbornly. Changbin looks about three seconds away from pulling out the puppydog eyes and bottom-lip pout. It's inexplicable, and more than a bit flattering.
"I mean it. I have things to do out there," you say, anyway.
"You've barely given yourself time to rest," Chan replies. "Those guys might still be out there, you know. Waiting for you to come back. The tournament just ended today, they won't skip town until later."
"I would really hate to keep imposing. I'm sure you guys want your room back," you tell him.
Chan shrugs. "Not really important."
"And you're not imposing," says Hyunjin. "Like, by definition. No one lives there, and Minho secretly loves cooking and entertaining. He's a choice housewife under all that awful."
Minho serenely pulls him into a headlock, leaving just the top of Hyunjin's shaggy red hair visible under the crook of his arm.
"It would be stupid of you to go without at least fixing your scooter and being ready to battle if those guys come back," he tells you, over Hyunjin's shrill, sputtering protests.
They're really unanimous on this. You can't help but wonder why.
"And the best way to be ready to battle..." trails Seungmin, with a smirk.
Oh, here it comes.
"Is to practice," Chan finishes.
Changbin nods. "You have good Pokemon. Especially if you evolve that Kakuna. You'd be set with a good strong Grass type base."
"What moves does your Oddish know? If it evolves too, you'd be even better off," says Felix thoughtfully.
"I'm not evolving Oddish," you say, immediately. "Or Kakuna. It's not ready."
You feel like you've said that a hundred times in the last few days. Maybe it was only twice, but that's two times too many.
The look on Chan's face is the purest confusion. "What?"
"What?" you ask, right back.
"Why wouldn't you want to evolve it?"
You blink. "Because Oddish is my friend and if I push her to evolve, she'll change. And I don't want to push her."
"She'll...she’ll be stronger if she evolves," Chan says, slowly, like he doesn't think you understand.
The vibes have suddenly turned weird, taking a sharp turn into deeply personal morality, and you have the urge to change the subject. Or maybe rather to get back on track. Anything to steer away from this conversation.
"Anyway, I really can't keep imposing on you guys," you say.
"Then just stay until you fix your scooter," says Jisung, diplomatically going with your abrupt left turn.
"We can help," Jeongin pipes up.
"I really-"
"We'll help you fix it up, and then you can decide what to do," Chan promises. "But you should stay over again tonight, and fix it tomorrow."
"But my client!" you protest.
"You already missed the battle. What's the point of going back now?" Felix asks.
He's right, but that doesn't mean you have to like it. If you went back tonight, you'd just end up at Ryujin's house to grovel for being a flake and a mess and beg her dad to pay the rest of your fees even though you didn't hold up your end of the deal.
Your dignity can't take another shot so quickly.
Damn it.
"Fine," you say. "I'll stay again tonight. But just tonight."
Minho nods, and with a heavy sigh, lets Hyunjin go and pulls himself out of the grass. "Okay. What do you want for dinner?"
You're almost touched that he asked. "Doesn't matter."
"Good answer."
You stand up, too, though with a little bit less finesse. You've had a lot to drink, and though you've been eating and walking around and playing with Pokemon to keep your wits about you, it's still been an alcohol-soaked day of indulgence. No one can blame you for being a bit unsteady.
"But," you say, "The first step to fixing my scooter is to go get it."
"Where'd you leave it?" Felix asks.
"Out on the road somewhere. Gotta find it," you say.
"Now?"
You nod. You smile.
"Who's coming?"
-----
The scooter rescue team turns out to be a party of four.
You're leading the pack, out in front, retracing your steps down the winding drive and trying to recall exactly which turn your poor scooter couldn't take.
Hyunjin is right behind you. Why he wanted to come, you don't quite understand, but he's got a Pokeball in his hand like he thinks you're going to need it. The guy seems pretty spacey, though, quiet and high-strung, so you don't imagine that he's going to be much help in a fight.
That's why the third and fourth members of the party are Changbin and his Primeape. He'd insisted, actually pulling out the pout this time, though you would have agreed regardless. The road has been peaceful so far, deserted, but there's no guarantee it'll stay that way.
"Jisung told me you train Water," you say in Hyunjin’s direction, attempting to make conversation.
Hyunjin startles, as if he wasn't expecting you to address him, and then nods. "Yeah."
"What Pokemon do you have?"
He turns over the ball in his hand. "A few."
"Can I see?"
"Not this one," he says, tucking the Pokeball into his pocket and pulling out another one. "This one, though..."
Hyunjin flicks open the ball, and you watch as a beautiful deep amber Goldeen is deposited onto the asphalt. It looks balefully up at its trainer, as if silently complaining (rightfully so) about the lack of water.
"My favorite," he tells you.
"Put it back," you say, watching the Water type flip its long gorgeous fins against the ground. "I mean, wow. But. Put it back."
You actually get a real smile from Hyunjin at that, one that makes his eyes crinkle up into crescents, the human definition of eyesmile. You're absolutely charmed. You wonder what other faces he can make, besides the slightly severe resting face that he's been wearing nonstop.
"This isn't exactly my terrain," he says.
"Then quit dumping your fish on the road," Changbin cuts in.
Primeape is poking around trees and picking up random sticks to chuck into the distance, but Changbin is watching Hyunjin with an unimpressed look on his handsome face.
"She asked," says Hyunjin.
"Doesn't mean you gotta tire out your Pokemon before anything gets started."
"Do you always have to be looking for a fight?" Hyunjin sighs.
Changbin blinks at him, scandalized. "I - dude, literally in the job description."
"Battling is. Being a jackass who thinks with his fists is not."
"I think it's the next corner," you say, quickly.
It seems like they're bickering affectionately, but the last thing you need is for them to be actually fighting. Two people you barely know getting into a brawl, or worse, a Pokemon battle, in the middle of a town you've never been to before with no one around to stop them is not exactly a recipe for success.
And anyway, you're right.
Around the very next corner, there's a patch of torn-up dirt and scattered gravel, and your scooter in the roadside ditch, the front wheel wrenched from its axel from the crash but otherwise looking exactly the same as always. No one stole it, no one even touched it. Your saddlebag is still there, too, with all your extra supplies.
"Yes!" you hiss, scrambling into the ditch.
"Alright, that was easy," Changbin says.
"Can you help me carry it?"
"Sure thing."
It's more than a little sexy when Changbin heaves the scooter up onto the road proper with what looks like zero effort. You're halfway to saying something about it, too, when the road shakes.
At first, you worry that it's an earthquake or something, a perfectly-timed natural disaster to be the shitty icing on your shitty cake of a calendar day. It would make sense that after shooting your career in the head and wrecking your only form of transportation and nearly being killed by a Pokemon, the earth itself would be out to get you.
But no, of course, it's something worse.
Like an auditory hallucination out of a nightmare, you hear the Pokemon before you see it. A deafening roar, low and rumbling and so disorienting that you can't even figure out what direction to look first.
And then it rises up, down the road, and you wish you had left your scooter for lost.
It's an Onix, all nine meters of solid rock, and it's barreling towards you.
Onix aren't that dangerous, in general. Weak for their size, they're easy to beat in battle with the right Pokemon, and they're usually pretty gentle to their trainers. But you already know that the only person who would be sending an Onix at you like that doesn't care at all about being gentle.
You can't outrun it, and you're too far out in the open to hide. This rock is going to kill you.
"Is it wild?" Hyunjin asks.
"I don't think so," you say.
"Those trainers, again?" Changbin guesses, quick on the uptake.
"Chan was right, then," says Hyunjin mildly. "They were still waiting for you."
"We can battle. It'll be easy. It's just an Onix," says Changbin.
You shake your head. "This isn't a fair battle! These are the peoples who had their Pokemon poison me, remember? This Onix is just gonna crush us to death and go!"
"We can still use Pokemon. Make it a fair battle, anyway."
There's a lot of bravado in Changbin's voice, but it does little to reassure you. There's no way you're leaving your scooter behind a second time after coming all the way out here to get it, and as the boys watch the approaching Pokemon in dismay, you try to thread the bent front axle back through the wheel. If you can at least hold the parts together, you can wheel the scooter by hand.
"It's weak to Fighting!" you say.
"Got it," Changbin says. You think he really should have known that without you telling him.
Nothing happens, though, and you look up from where you're trying to link the axel back through to see that Primeape isn't there.
"Where'd it go?!"
Changbin looks as panicked as you feel. "I don't-"
"Oh my God, Changbin!" Hyunjin groans.
"Fucking - Primeape, get back here!" Changbin yells, into the woods.
But his Pokemon is long gone, whether out of fear or sheer distraction, you're not sure. You can't count on its help, and the Onix is getting closer. You can hear the low rumble of its call, and if that wasn't scary enough, the Rock Pokemon is so tall that you can see its face over the trees when it rears back.
"This is so typical," Hyunjin mutters.
"Okay, asshole, Grass or Water can also beat it!" Changbin snaps.
"I left my Pokemon at the gym!" you retort, "I thought you were flanking us!"
"Unbelievable." Hyunjin is fishing through his pocket. "I have to do everything."
"I don't think a Goldeen is gonna help, here!" you yell.
Hyunjin gives you a glare that could twist metal, his beautiful upturned eyes flashing, and then he opens the Pokeball that he's been worrying between his fingers the entire evening, instead.
The Pokemon that emerges lets out a shriek that runs cold fear down your spine, and you flinch despite yourself, even as you look around to find out exactly what Hyunjin has released. A flash of blue, a blast of freezing cold air, and you spot it. Up in the air, soaring on wings the length of a small car, skimming across the treetops.
Articuno.
Hyunjin has an Articuno?
It shrieks again, and across the road, from somewhere within the thicket of overgrown bushes, you hear a very human voice shouting.
"Oh, shit!"
You look at Hyunjin, feeling crazed. "He's that close?!"
"Wait for it," Hyunjin placates.
The Articuno circles, and dives. It dips over the thicket, and you can just barely see a figure emerging from the bushes and taking off down the road. There's a zap, a blinding flash, and the Onix vanishes, called back to its Pokeball. You're pretty sure that's Matthew, running for his life from the Ice type that flies silently behind him like a sentinel.
"Should we go after him?" you ask.
"I don't think so," Hyunjin tells you. "Isn't that just inviting more trouble?"
"What if I wanna fight him?" Changbin mutters.
"With what Pokemon?"
Changbin opens his mouth to protest, and then shuts it again, sheepish. Seemingly satisfied, Hyunjin brings his hand to his mouth and whistles long and loud on his fingers. The Articuno soars back to him with a cry that sounds almost happy, and Hyunjin returns it to the Pokeball neatly.
"Figured anyone with half a brain would run from that," Hyunjin says, matter of fact.
"I'm sorry," you say, shaking your head as if to clear it, "I'm sorry, you just...have a bunch of fish and then a Legendary, in there?"
Hyunjin just winks at you.
Terrifying.
You think back to what Chan said, when you first arrived: that everyone here is something special. Yesterday, it sounded like normal bragging about his friends and their little training quirks. But it seems to be a lot more than that. You wonder what other things are hiding in that outwardly unassuming gym.
"Let's head back," says Hyunjin.
"If Chan saw that Onix, he's gonna be shitting bricks," Changbin says.
"Is that a good idea?" you ask. "I mean, if he's not gone, we're just leading him back to your place."
"We'll be safe at the gym. They're not stupid enough to come inside, where all our Pokemon are," Hyunjin says.
He's probably right about that. If the Articuno didn't do the trick, there are dozens and dozens of other Pokemon back there to send the message home. So, you lean your broken scooter against your side, and off you go.
-----
Chan is standing outside the gym when the three of you return with the wobbly and mud-spattered scooter, and he's not alone.
His Arcanine is there, sitting demurely behind its trainer chewing on what looks like the trunk of an entire young tree. And looking not nearly guilty enough for a Pokemon that abandoned its trainer in the middle of a sticky situation, hanging from the side of the building, is Primeape.
"You gotta be kidding me!" Changbin whines.
"It came home," Hyunjin says, with a sidelong grin.
"Useless fucking-"
But Changbin doesn't get a chance to chew out his Pokemon, because as soon as Chan catches sight of you all, he bristles, and the shouting begins.
"How the fuck-"
"Hey, we got the scooter!" Hyunjin edges in quickly.
"-Are you gonna let your Pokemon come back here without you while an Onix is on the loose-"
"It was really no big deal, I just used-"
"I'm not talking to you!" Chan snaps, rounding on Changbin, "No call, no backup Pokemon, no plan!"
Changbin holds up his hands in defense. "Primeape wandered away, it wasn't like-"
"And I can't even come after you because Onix is strong against Fire type and my Fighting and Water trainers were the ones being attacked!"
"Nobody got hurt," you say.
You guys were gone for a total of less than half an hour. It was a scary close call that you were suspecting and dreading, but nothing bad happened, in the end. There's no reason to be making a scene like this.
"You could've died!" Chan storms.
Changbin scoffs. "No one even got hurt!"
"You can't do that to me!"
"You think we can't handle a battle?" Changbin asks.
"No, I think this wouldn't have been a regular battle," he replies. "And I think you would've gone for the Pokemon like a real trainer, but that Onix would have gone for you."
Ah.
You understand now. He's worried.
He's just showing it badly.
"Could've sent Jisung," Hyunjin says. "He trains Water, too, you know."
Chan gives him a withering look. "Send Jisung and Dratini to get you?"
"I mean, you didn't need to. I used Articuno and the guy took off. But you could have."
"My point exactly."
"And anyway, you'd send Jisung and Gyarados," says Changbin.
"But I had it covered," Hyunjin repeats.
"But what if you hadn't?" Chan says.
His dismay is palpable, and despite being overbearing to the point that you're almost embarrassed for him, it also seems extremely genuine. He was really that worried when Primeape came back alone, really ready to take his own Pokemon and go find you. Which makes it cute.
Why are you so fixated on Chan being cute?
"Alright," you say, needing to cut through whatever is happening here, "We have a scooter to fix. I gotta get out of here by tomorrow."
"We're fine," Hyunjin says, as he saunters past Chan and into the gym. "Don't worry so much."
Chan gapes at him, a fiery look in his eyes like he's not done arguing, but his whole body slumps in defeat as Changbin helps you wheel the scooter into the building. He follows you in, and Arcanine follows him, taking off into the wooded part of the gym as soon as it's obvious that Chan isn't going anywhere.
"We should have plenty of stuff in one of the sheds to fix this," Changbin tells you.
"You can just show me where," you say, "I can handle this."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
Changbin doesn't look back at you as he traipses across the clearing at the mouth of the gym to one of the metal shipping containers, but you can hear the warmth in his voice when he answers, "Alright. Bet you've done plenty of work on your own ride, huh?"
You grin to yourself. Exactly.
When Changbin opens the door, it's obvious that this is their toolshed. Scraps of metal, rows of shelving with power tools and building material, like a miniature hardware store with approximately zero organization.
"You probably need a lift, a new axel, and some nuts and washers..." Changbin mutters, delving into the first shelf.
You join him, collecting a power drill and a bag of bolts when you see them. It takes the two of you a few moments to comb through the mess for everything you need, and when you come back outside, darkness has completely fallen.
"I think there're some standing lights inside, if you need them," Changbin says. "You got it from here?"
"Yep. Thanks."
"No worries," he flashes you a grin.
"And thanks for coming out with me. Even if, y'know, it turned out kind of spotty."
Changbin's grin just grows. "Like I said, no worries. It was fun."
He nods, and then he sets off, leaving you there with the pile of tools and a simple objective.
It's not like you're great with tools and you don't know too much about mechanics, but like Changbin had correctly assessed, you've gotten pretty adept at taking care of your own things. The scooter runs into enough trouble and normal wear-and-tear that fixing it up yourself is a necessity, if you don't wanna pour out all of your uncertain income on going to shops. If nothing else, the hands-on task will keep your mind off everything else going on.
The guys leave you alone for a while.
Hyunjin had disappeared immediately, walking in the direction of the apartments, and Changbin took his polite leave, and you assume that Chan followed suit since he was gone when you came out of the shed.
So you're alone.
It's peaceful enough to lift the front half of the scooter on the little jack and pry the mangled axel out of place. You clean the wheel, and the front of the machine, and you search through the pile of spare parts to find an axel that'll ostensibly fit.
Unfortunately, the electric drill has no batteries, so you have to use a socket wrench by hand to get the wheel apart and change all the bolts. Several of them strip as you pull them out; good thing you're doing this now, while there are plenty of new parts to use. A stroke of good luck, amidst everything else.
Nothing serious in the engine or in the body of the machine seem broken as you turn it on and test all of the functions. Ignition, breaks, lights, everything seems in working order, which is excellent. Wheels, you can handle, but rewiring the internal system is above your pay grade.
Cleaning, reassembling, matching the size and thread of the nuts and bolts, it all keeps your hands busy and your head empty, and you're grateful for it.
The front tire needs to be changed, but a patch on the barest part and a refill of air will do for now, so you go back to the shed to find an air pump.
When you come back out, Chan is there.
"You missed dinner," he tells you.
"That's okay. I'm almost done."
But he gestures with a little container in his hand. "Minho saved you a sandwich."
"Why didn't he bring it himself?" you tease.
"Ask him that."
Chan sits down cross-legged on the ground beside your scooter. He sets the container beside him, since your hands are full, and as you connect the pump and begin refilling your tire, he’s peering over your handiwork.
"Wow," he says, sounding genuinely surprised. "You're good at this."
"Funnily enough, yes," you reply.
What's he so shocked about? That you could possibly be good at something?
"Figured you'd be asking for help before long."
He's like the exact opposite of Changbin, who believed your capability without question and left you to your own devices without you even having to ask. Was the dinner delivery just an excuse to come and bother you?
You look at him, deadpan, as you work the manual pump. "So is your deal just misogyny, or is there something else?"
Chan's mouth actually drops open. "Excuse me?"
"Like, is it personal?" you press.
"I just-"
"You think I can't fix my own set of wheels? That I ride every day and have been fixing myself for two years?"
"Nah, I just thought that since you've had such a rough few days, I dunno, you'd want help."
"Not really."
"Because I can help. I don't mind."
"It's already finished," you say, aghast.
But Chan reaches for the tire, as you screw the cap back on the air valve. "Not quite."
You start to regret thinking that Chan was cute, before, because now he's turned the corner to completely overbearing and not at all adorable. You can't believe you have to say this more than once.
"I'm serious, I can handle my own shit," you say firmly, as you kneel beside the scooter and take up the wrench to put the wheel back on.
Chan must see something in your face, because he backs off. "Okay."
"If you're just going to micromanage me, you should go."
"No," he says, "No, I actually...I came to talk to you."
You finish the first lug nut and begin on the second. "Okay, so talk."
"I want to know about the trainers who attacked you."
"Oh."
That's simple enough.
"Like...I kind of saw that one guy, the other day, before he hit the road. But there were others, right?" he asks.
You nod. "His name is J.Seph. Or that's the name he goes by, anyway. He was the one that my client actually battled. He didn't corner me, that night."
Only two bolts left.
"Who were the people who did?"
"A girl, Somin. She battled earlier that day, with an Arbok."
"That same Arbok?" he asks, "The one that..."
"That one," you agree.
"Damn."
His voice is oddly muffled. As you glance back up, hand working the wrench on autopilot, you realize he's chewing.
"Hey, I thought that was for me."
Chan looks down at the half of a sandwich in his hand, eyes wide. "Oh fuck, sorry. Jesus. I...eat when I'm nervous, it's a bad habit, I try to stop it cold turkey like twice a month but-"
"Why are you nervous?" you ask, more than a little amused.
"All the stuff that keeps happening. Having you stay here. I dunno," he flaps the hand holding the sandwich vaguely.
A chunk of lettuce falls out of the bread, and he puts it down sheepishly.
"So much for your dinner."
"I'll still eat it," you say.
To prove it, you wipe your dirty hands on your borrowed shirt, exchange the wrench for the half sandwich with a bite out of it, and take your own bite. Your scooter is finished, anyway. Might as well take a break.
Chan's ears flame red as he watches you chew. Interesting.
"It was Somin, and another guy," you say, "The guy who came after us today. He must be a Rock type trainer, because his other Pokemon that I saw was a Golem."
"Rock, and the other ones are Poison?" Chan remembers.
"Yeah, between the Koffing and the Weezing and that Arbok..."
The sandwich is pretty damn good. You keep eating it, taking another big bite as Chan puzzles over what you've just told him.
"I don't know their team name," you say, after a moment. "That might be helpful. But I don't remember."
"Do you remember the guy's name? The other one?" Chan asks.
"Yeah. Matthew."
If you thought his body language was uncomfortable before, it's nothing to the way he looks after you say that.
“A guy named Matthew with a Golem?” he asks.
“Yeah. Super tall, kind of stacked. Why?”
He doesn’t answer, just stares.
"What?" you ask.
"That's...huh. Okay," he says stiffly.
"What?" you urge.
"Does it work? Did you fix it?" he asks.
It's an abrupt and unsubtle subject change, but as much as Chan has annoyed you, it's not the thing to do, to pick at something that's obviously upsetting him when he's still letting you stay at his place and feeding you and giving you free access to mechanic supplies and all the rest.
He seems legitimately bothered, and you're not a monster. So you don't say anything else about it.
"I think so."
"Give it a test run," he suggests.
The half sandwich you’d been working on is gone now, so you do. You turn the key, and the engine comes cleanly to life. No problems there, just like you'd thought earlier.
You climb on, and let it roll for a few meters. Smooth. Steady. You think you did it. It feels more stable than before, actually. Those bolts really did need to be replaced. You’re glad that they didn’t shear off while you were driving, at any point, or you would’ve been in deep shit when you least expected it.
"Just like new," you say, satisfied.
"Nice."
"It would be nicer if you didn't patronize me about it."
Chan looks even more uncomfortable, if that's possible. "Sorry."
"Don't be sorry, just don't be an ass."
"I'll try my best not to be."
The words feel like they would be delivered with sarcasm, but as you scan Chan's face, you can't see anything but earnest apology and that unmistakable discomfort.
What a weird guy.
"Well, that's done," you say.
You climb off your scooter, and wheel it back to the place where Chan sits, next to the open plastic container still with half of the sandwich. You're starving - you hadn't realized it, since you were busy, but you are - and so you sit down facing him to finish it.
"That means you can leave tomorrow, if you want," he says.
"Yep."
"Or."
You raise an eyebrow, mouth busy with your dinner.
"Or you can stay here longer," he suggests, going for nonchalant and not quite getting there.
"What for?" you ask.
It's not that you're not having a nice time. But you're not lying to them: you really do have things to get back to. It was only your intention to hide here until the danger had passed, and even if those other trainers are still out there waiting for you, staying here in the gym forever does you no good at all.
Are you just supposed to stay here forever, on the assumption that leaving is too dangerous?
You ask Chan as much.
"No," he says, "No, but...but the guys are having fun. Changbin likes you. And Minho really likes having guests, even though he'll never say it."
"Does Minho have a crush on me or something?" you wonder, only half-kidding.
"I highly doubt it. You're not his type," Chan says.
You're not interested in Minho, but it's hard not to take offense to that. Still, you just ask, "Then what?"
"Exactly what I said. We like you."
That's not what he said before, and you're getting the hint loud and clear. For whatever reason, he doesn't want you to leave. Him, personally. Chan wants you to stay.
"I'm not going to battle you," you tell him.
He laughs. "I didn't ask you to."
"No, but that's the only point of keeping me here, isn't it? Make me stick around and eventually I'll battle?"
"Not everything is about Pokemon," he says. "Plus, it's no fun if it's not a fair matchup."
Hold on...
"What's that supposed to mean?"
Chan shrugs. "You're a healer, not a trainer. And like you said before, your Oddish is super cute, but..."
It would be unbelievable, except for all the other things you've seen and heard from this guy over the 24 hours you've known him. He obviously sized you up in that first moment, frightened and unprepared and running away from another trainer, and has decided that's your entire personality, your level of capability.
Your sandwich is gone, now, and you wish you had something else to distract you from how badly you want to throttle Chan.
"Oddish isn't a fighter, I did say that," you cede.
"I wouldn't want to hurt it."
You know he's imagining Oddish versus Arcanine, and you consider your actual fighting lineup, cozy in their Pokeballs in your room. If he got a glimpse, he would know that you can absolutely take care of yourself. You can hold your own against him with your Pokemon.
But you can hold your own without them too.
"It's interesting," you say, "You don't think I can change a tire, you don't think I can battle, and you don't want to let me make my own decisions, and you met me yesterday. I asked you before, but what exactly is your problem?"
"I don't - I don't have a-"
"Yes, you do. You wanted to play the big scary trainer and fight off J.Seph's Pokemon, but since you didn't get to, the next best ego boost is to pretend to help me."
Chan stands up, looking around as if there's something he's missing. "I don't know what's happening right now-"
"I'm telling you what your problem is," you say, standing up to match him.
There's more vitriol in your tone than you intended, more force behind the things you're saying than you knew you had inside. Maybe it's the stress of your last few days, or the uncertainty of your life going forward now that you're at least temporarily on the run. Or maybe it's the fact that despite his ostentatious behavior and absolutely out of pocket backhanded compliments, you find Chan extremely attractive.
“Your problem is that you can’t get through a conversation without belittling me. And you won’t leave me alone.”
“If you really want to leave, you can-”
"And you obviously know that Matthew guy," you say, unable to help yourself from hammering in that last nail.
He winces, actually winces.
"Look-"
"No," you interrupt, "No. I shouldn't have overstayed my welcome. I'll put all this shit away and pack up and go. Thanks for the place to crash."
Chan just gapes at you.
But you've said your piece. You've worked yourself up, and you're not sure that there's anything he can say that would change your determination to leave this magical gym and the nice boys inside and this one particular extremely handsome trainer with ridiculous hair that matches his Pokemon and seemingly no awareness of how he sounds when he talks.
You throw tools back into the shed, pace back and forth to gather the scattered bolts and tuck everything back where you found it, and Chan sits back down, there in the grass. No bullshit that he says will change your mind.
What he says, after a long silence, is, "Are you always this infuriatingly hot?"
It's a good thing your back is still turned, facing the toolshed rather than him, because your entire face is burning and you're sure that your expression is ridiculous.
"Excuse me?"
"I said, are you always this infuriating?"
Oh. Interesting.
You place the air pump back on the shelf, and you come back out, willing yourself to calm. "That's not what you said."
"You're already mad. If I say it again, you might kill me," he says mildly.
He's still sitting there, but his expression is closer to curious, now. There's a bit of mischief shining through that shouldn't be so charming. You'd thought just a little while ago that he didn't want you to leave. He, himself, rather than the guys collectively. You'd assumed that there was at least a little positive intention in there, a bit of affection. And now he's admitting it.
"You think I'm hot," you say, bordering on accusatory.
"So?"
So? He's like a kid.
"Have you been picking on me because you like me?" you ask, "Kind of grade-school, isn't it?"
"I didn't say I liked you. I said you were infuriating," he says.
"And hot."
"And hot. But that doesn't mean anything," he says. "Unless you want it to."
You give yourself another break, turn away for just another moment to close and secure the door to the shed now that your scooter is in working order. Do you want it to mean anything?
Sure, he's handsome. He's interesting. From what you know, he's very protective of his friends, and generous with his time and his possessions. He might have been being nice to you at least partially because he's attracted to you, but is that such a bad thing? Is it so bad to be attracted to him, in return?
"And if I do want it to?" you offer.
"Then you should go park your scooter somewhere safe. The paved lot by the door."
You blink. "Why?"
"Pokemon might knock it over, here," he says.
His face is calm and innocent, but his eyes are still shining mischievously. Changing the subject on you...
"Will you be here when I come back?"
Chan just smiles. "Find out."

Delicious in Dungeon Reading Diary Vol 4
Spoilers below
First thing I notice about this volume is that the red dragon is very central on the front and back cover, and the table on contents has 6 chapters of red dragon.
Also while I'm talking about the volume cover I gotra say I love the art on these things
Tumblr media
Like they look like they make food/wash dishes WHILE fighting the monsters, and Senshi is just doing a little mario hop with his fried rice. And all of the other covers have been similarly pleasant. Plus I love how the red boarder helps add both visual cohesion between volumes as well a nice bit of flair that helps it stand out amongst other manga.
Tumblr media
That's how they teleported out of the dungeon? I was expecting the flash of light thing Falin did. Could it be that their gear wouldn't come with them? I don't think so if they kept their stuff on them. Must just be different methods.
Also this might be more evidence for my "living paintings are time portals" theory. Not quite sure yet.
It's very smart to go over the rules of death and resurrection in more detail now, considering what the whole point of this mission is. It both keeps stakes alive and adds tension to if Falin can even be revived.
Go off, King.
Tumblr media
I've seen this panel before, I did NOT expect it to be in such tense context.
Tumblr media
And the dragon is down! I gotta say that was some excellent action, all the tactics were creative, both made sense for the characters to use, as well as made sense why they failed. Plus it was just really cool, the ending bit with Laios getting his leg bit especially.
Quite morbid how Laios is basically just doing a fun jigsaw puzzle with his own sister's bones.
DON'T SHOW THE NUTRITIONAL INFO!!!
Tumblr media
Wait are they seriously not gonna tell Falin about how she was a skeleton for like a month? Like when someone asks "did I died" I feel one of the worst things you can say is "don't worry about it." Maybe it's just a translation thing idk.
Falin no longer having brockitis* anymore is significant. It will be very relevant. I feel it in my bones.
*brockitis: a term used by the anime community to describe a character with perpetually closed eyes, named after Brock from Pokemon
Tumblr media
I'm sorry, you have NO follow up questions? Cause I sure have a few; what resident, this place is abandoned? Or that's one of the fake doors so how was there someone there? Or were they a ghost? Laios is not beating the himbo allegations.
YOU!
Tumblr media
Honestly it's good news to see this guy. Partially cause it's a cool new plothook, but more importantly some of my living painting questions might be answered!
I just think the mermaid is drawn real cute here.
Tumblr media
Laios had a whole 2-second crisis over being a fake dragon fan.
Closing thoughts for the volume: the best so far. 10/10. Not only does it finish off the overarching plot so far with a really cool action scene, but sets up a lot of questions to get answered later. Plus the tension is really well done, pretty much from the point in the first chapter where they explain there are limits to resurrection to the point where Falin speaks a complete sentence there was that gripping sense of both danger and uncertainty, it makes it gripping enough to where I decently easily finished this volume in 1 sitting. While I think the coming volume or 2 will have to some work to get me invested in the next adventure I am more then confident that it can be done.

(OOC:) Professor, I gotta say... You're one-of-a-kind. You're one of the first blogs I ever followed on here, and seeing of of your comics dubbed on youtube is what rekindled my passion for pokémon.
I don't really expect an answer, but I judt hope that you read this and know that you've made my life a lot better with your creativity and talent.
Cheers!
I have mixed feelings about the youtubers responsible for dubbing my work. They never asked permission, and I only found it thanks to a friend sending me a link. I was not told. Kind of a poop move on their part.
They linked my account sure, but its kind of an...underhanded thing to do?? Just prefer some honesty I suppose, would have been ok with it if there was some open dialgoue going on, but they chose not to do that, questionable methods. That aside, hon im super glad you found the original blog no matter the reason. I just like to see folks enjoying the content and vibing with the franchise in ways that suit them best. Pokemon as a whole have focused so wholly on the younger fans, that anyone over the age of 13 is kind of left wanting. So thats where this blog, the comics, and the content comes in. I fully appreciate the message, I alwasy see them, and often read them and feel like at least ive made some ok decisions in my life thanks to the support. Alwasy makes me day. May your life continue to be good and wholesome, and when its not, at least we can all fall back on pokemon. Have a good week buddy!

This, is definitely overdue.
Tumblr media
Alright, hi, hello. Let's talk- as my shittily drawn comic says-
First off, I'm Kaz, I also go by Wolfy, Fifty (from my old tumblr user/tag/whatever), and any variation of Peppermint. One friend who has tumblr as well calls me Pepsi on discord for shits and giggle and another knows my real name. Well, both know, it's just a 50/50 on what they use-
I am a sexuality questioning neurodivergent genderfluid creature, I don't care what pronouns are used for me as long as the person talking to me is comfortable with me. A friend of mine has full access to my tumblr. If you see kny/ds (Kimetsu No Yaiba/Demon Slayer) stuff reblogged on here, it's probably from her because at the time of making this, my current focus is cookie run.
On here I'll be most commonly showing myself as a kitsune with just, a chalk board on hand. Or, well, paw.
Okay, general blog rules and things to know.
No explicit nsfw. You can send asks being curious about certain habits of my ocs and draw whatever kinda art of them you want (do not touch ANY little ones I will block you so fast), but anything in regards to me myself or my friend, absolutely the fuck not.
Oc shipping is perfectly okay with me! Just don't ask about children and keep your fan children to yourself, please and thank you. I do not want asks about my ocs having children in my askbox.
I am VERY much a multishipper, if you see me shipping my ocs with my other ocs, do not assume you can't come in and make an offer of one of your own ocs. Do not be afraid to talk to me about shipping ocs or oc interactions in general.
As long as I'm credited, anyone is more than welcome to use my art for whatever the fuck they want. If it's something questionable, I'd prefer you keep it to yourself, but otherwise, go ahead. Although I'd be surprised if anyone wanted to use my art for anything-
I do NOT. I repeat, do NOT. Take commissions. I'll take requests to draw ocs and other such things, alongside canon characters, but I do NOT take commissions. Requests will really only be sketches, occasionally colored and sometimes legitimately finished because I had the energy for it.
I feel as though this should be obvious, but I'll say it anyways, pro-shippers, racists, lgbtq+phobics, assholes of generally any kind, especially those obsessed with politics, aren't fucking welcome here. This blog is here for me to look at content from people I like and affectionately blast my mutuals with whatever cracked up shit I come up with. If you can't help but be a piece of shit in my safe space, you can go fuck yourself.
Be kind. I don't care who you are, I don't care what you came here for, but if you can't bare to spare a shred of kindness when you talk to me, I don't want you interacting with my blog. You can criticize my art, the way I write, the way I talk, just how much I ramble, but if you can't be nice about it, I'd rather you say nothing at all.
Alright, that should be that.
If you wanna contact me, you can contact me on here through tumblr's messaging system, but you can also contact me on discord at .peppermintstars! If you're gonna friend me on discord, please warn me before you do. I don't have the best experience with randomly being friended and I may end up blocking you on instinct- I do have a twitter although I don't use it so I won't bother linking it until I start using it.
I hope to eventually start streaming sometime this year, be it with or without a 2d or 3d model, so if you wanna support me, you can find me on twitch and youtube!
I'll also give a list of the media I'm into and what you can expect me to be reblogging! Or at least looking at-
Cookie Run! Primarily ocs. (I don't know what the fuck is going on in the story rn and I need to get caught up-)
Persona 5 Royal and in subsequent, the Persona series in general.
Demon Slayer! (Or Kimetsu No Yaiba if you prefer to call it that.)
Pokemon. I like to watch the animes and if I can I'll get whatever new game comes out, even if I get it a bit late-
How To Train Your Dragon! Yes I'm still into HTTYD even years after the first movie came out. That shit ain't going no where.
Honkai: Star Rail and Genshin Impact! Although the interest for these has diminished and isn't ever really consistent, I may as well list them because I either do play them or have played them.
Cult of The Lamb! I like Narilamb. I like Narinder. I've a thing for powerful higher beings in general okay-
Dungeons and Dragons! If you need a dm or an extra player for whatever reason, I am more than open to joining a campaign.
Dark Souls! And other souls-like games from FromSoftware- ties into the D&D thing because I get way too many ideas watching playthroughs of those games.
God of War! Again, the liking of powerful higher beings- also ties into D&D.
The Resident Evil series! Leon Kennedy is hot and Ethan Winters was a good dad.
FNAF! Alongside other such mascot horror games- Poppy Playtime included (mostly just for Dogday.)
Mythology and folklore! Hopefully evident by the fact I chose a kitsune as my persona on here- also connects into D&D again to no one's surprise.
That should be everything I can remember off the top of my head!
That's all, thank you for reading, have a good day, and here's a sleepy kitsune for your troubles!

- commissions opened -
For the first time ever, I am opening commissions! Quite nervous and excited to be doing this, I'm definitely taking baby steps here.
Important Note: Since I am very new and inexperienced with doing it along with schedule shuffling needed for this, I will have 1 slot for the time being. Prices will also be set low, or at your discretion. I will also most likely close it often when I get busy and/or focus on non-commission related art. Will be making updates and changes along the way as well.
See more info below.
SFW only. Will not do any sort of sexual, bloody + other explicit graphic content.
What to expect: 1-2 Pokémon (any Pokémon; includes shinies and fakemon!) + fully colored/rendered background.
Please include in the description box for request:
Subject of choice (1 or 2 pokemon),
Short description of landscape/scenario (picnic, fruit picking, sleeping, sunset watching, etc.)
Indication of checking progress stages via message - lineart, early colored subject + background, fully colored subject + background OR: "surprise me/mystery gift" option - okay with leaving process up to surprise (let the artist work their magic) until completion.
Dimensions (if needed)
File preference - JPEG/PNG
Permission to showcase finished commission piece on social media (you can write it as simply as: allow show/don't show).
Reference for fakemon
Upfront payment through Paypal only.
I tend to finish art within days or a week, but if any case arises, I will be sure to communicate it with you!
Thanks for taking the time to read this and have a lovely day/night!

Hello and welcome to my blog! Call me Teeth or Rot, but all the folks call me Hex too :). Feel free to take your pick!
I'm a 19 year old transmasc (he/it) who is the proud father of a ball python, Peanut, who has been under my care since 12/28/21!
I'm extremely autistic (+ many other things) and very bad at reading the room sometimes, but I try my best to fix my mistakes behind the scenes (I'm terrible at verbal apologies, and take "show don't tell" a little too literally ><). I post whatever I like here!!! But expect to see things like selfshipping, vents, and bugs. I provide ZERO warnings for bugs because they're one of my special interests so do take care!!!
I'm currently trying to figure out my stance on f/os and I don't provide a list, and I'm generally pretty open to finding folks with similar taste! I've been selfshipping since I was a little kid, but only really joined the community in about 2019/2020.
I also run sideblogs!!!
- @feastfic is my writing blog!
- @death-and-reblogs is, well, my reblog...blog! (Warning, I reblog some posts that may be considered NSFW from time to time. Nothing graphic, just funny textposts)
- @redrawnmon-project is a personal project I've been trying to do :)! All it is, is just me drawing Pokemon characters the way that I see them, but I hope to diversify the content some day!
You can also check out this neat little link to find my carrd!
COMMISSION INFO
I'm virtually always open for commissions! You're always free to shoot me a DM and ask if you're not sure, but if for whatever reason they're closed, I can put you on a list of interested folks that will receive priority for when they open again :).
I take CashApp ($HexedDecimal) and Venmo (HexedDecimal) ONLY!!!
If you're unsure about what I do or don't do (rather, will/won't) feel free to ask any time! I'm normally going to say that I'll do it/have done it before, so no need to be afraid!
