It's all go in Israel. As if to answer the Biblical demand to "Let My People Go", Israelis have certainly been "on the go" since my last newsletter. In fact I had to go over my self-imposed limit of 50 positive news items, otherwise I would never have caught up. Israeli scientists are going all out, to make debilitating medical conditions go away. Cancer, diabetes, reflux, muscle pain, heart arrhythmia, cerebral hemorrhage, and respiratory diseases will one day be gone, thanks to Israeli medical breakthroughs. So will religious intolerance, landmines, glass ceilings, water scarcity, pollution, and infant death from heart deformities - all being targeted by Israelis going beyond the call of duty to make a better world. Israeli technology has gone into orbit again with the launch of another satellite; it has made robots go so small that they can control where individual cells go; it can analyze where tiny fragments of broken objects should go; it can find where lost children or missing luggage has gone. Israeli unemployment has gone down again, supermarket prices should also begin to go down soon; Israeli startups are working to make the cost of health care go down; and during Passover visitors can go for free to many Israeli sites and museums.

Temples in Bur Dubai – Discover Spirituality In The City Of Gold
Today if we visit Dubai we can see a start town that is an attraction around the Globe for its peak urban lifestyle, Mega, and unique skyscrapers, and their strategy to attract tourists.
But it took 40 years of hard work to build Dubai the way it is and during these 40 years, there were plenty of immigrants that came to Dubai and helped in the development of the Megacity, Dubai which is built today due to the blend of different cultures and their beliefs.
Tumblr media
If you had visited Dubai 40 years ago you would have found streets representing different cultures as it was the only area where you could reside and get all the basic amenities but now that region is converted into a spiritual hub and an area with tons of gold shops apparently known as Bur Dubai.
The majority of Hindus reside in the neighborhood of Bur Dubai where you can find some majestic temples in Bur Dubai which you can visit with customized Dubai tour packages.
It is believed that Temples listen down are the source of energy which made their belief of building a megacity turn into reality
1 - Shreenathji temple - One of the major prayer halls located for Hindus in UAE, devotees usually come here to pray to lord Krishna usually in the early morning or in the evening during sunsets or sunrise. it is located on the top floor of one of the busiest streets of Bur Dubai right next to Dubai museums.
Major aarti timings of the temple are
Mangla 06:30 am to 07:30 am
Bhog/Sandhya 06:30 pm to 07:30 pm
Rajbogh 10:30am to 11:30 am
No prasad or milk is accepted for the diety one can still make offerings in the form of devotion and donations.
The vibe of the temple is such that if one comes with sadness and emptiness in the temple the deity won't allow you to exit till your heart is full of satisfaction and happiness.
2- Shiva Mandir - Located right next to haveli near Dubai Museum is easily accessible by taxi or by walk and is also home to Lord Ganesha and sai baba. once you will enter the temple you will forget that you are in UAE as the vibe of the temple is purely Indian. Marble and Granite Steps
Marble and Granite Steps
Natural stones for use as treads and risers
Usually, risers can be of any type of natural stone. Some of the common cranes used in the construction of natural stone steps include:
Tumblr media
 Granite Stairs Design
There are numerous variances when referring to granite stones. The only type of granite is pure black. It looks like polished marble and is very simple to keep clean. Your home's black staircase will be one of the main focal points of your living area. Black is after all difficult to overlook.
When it comes to natural building stones, granite is renowned as the best material. This is due to the material's durability and high level of impact and cracks resistance. It is a useful material for riser construction since it can endure high pressure brought on by weighty loads.
Tumblr media
 Marble
Although soft, marble stones are durable enough to withstand time. Even though they may be beautiful, these stones cannot be broken until an excessive force is applied—a feat that neither a person nor an animal can naturally accomplish. Your steps will appear much more beautiful and last longer if you use a marble step riser.
Sandstone
Sandstone is another well-liked step riser that you may install for your natural stone steps. Sandstones come in a variety of types, much like other natural building stones, and depending on your source, you can choose the one you like most. Some sandstones arrive ragged, while others do so with a smooth texture that makes them resemble teakwood. Sandstone will always be beautiful and sturdy no matter which choice you choose.
We can provide you with free consultation when selecting natural stone and UAE in Dubai and all of our showrooms across the nation. We can provide you with a tailored offer so that you may take advantage of the best option for the projects on which we will work together! We provide you with the most affordable natural stone in the UAE. In just two to three days, we prepare and install marble and granite steps and window sills. Best price and superior quality.
Tumblr media
 Granite Steps
A lovely staircase will enhance any house. Any entranceway may be made more beautiful by the addition of an exterior staircase, which also adds charm and creates a positive first impression on all guests.
Marble and Granite Steps are utilised outside because they are weather resistant and convenient to use. Customers can choose the product's structure, which affects how well it resists slipping. So, for granite stairs, we can create a rough surface, a roasted surface, a matte surface, or a polished surface.
For the interior, a polished stone staircase is advised because it is glossier and noticeably more aesthetically pleasant. With our non-slip external stairs, even the worst weather conditions are not a concern.

Let’s examine ten amazing elements of this incredible project that honours community, spirituality, and unity in the centre of the United Arab Emirates. It crosses national boundaries.

№1. The history, materials, and cost of the BAPS Temple The temple or mandir requires extensive logistical planning. Over 1.8 million bricks, 1,80,000 cubic metres of sandstone, and 40,000 cubic metres of marble will be needed for it. Up till this point, 4 lakh hours of effort have been put in, and many more hours will be needed to finish the temple complex.

№5. PM Modi’s Perspective Abu Dhabi granted the temple project on the Dubai-Abu Dhabi motorway more than 17 acres of land in 2015, during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to the UAE. PM Modi placed the mandir’s foundation stone in 2017.
№6. International artisan collaboration | Expert Indian artists are producing the temple’s sculptures and carvings, demonstrating an international partnership in the development of this architectural marvel.
№7. Administrative Marvel | Approximately 50,000 individuals, including stars Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Kumar, and Minister of External Affairs India S Jaishankar, placed bricks in the mandir’s building.
№8. Symbolic towers Seven spires, each representing an Emirate of the United Arab Emirates, will be included into the architecture of the temple. The spirals are intended to foster harmony and unity within the multicultural environment.
№9. Hindu BAPS Sect | The BAPS Hindu sect is leading the construction and introducing their rich traditions to the United Arab Emirates. They are well-known for their respect for Swaminarayan as an avatar of Lord Krishna.

Best Gujarat Tour
In addition to being famous for its beaches, it is also well-known for its historic capitals and cities with temples. The Indian state of Gujarat is responsible for numerous contributions to the globe, some of the most notable of which are the natural splendor, wildlife reserves, and hill resorts found there. Sculpture, handicrafts, arts, and festivals all contribute to the prosperity of the state in their own unique ways. The Indian state of Gujarat, which can sometimes be referred to as the "Jewel of Western India" due to its location in Western India and its reputation for beauty, is the focus of the thematic guide and overview that is presented in the following paragraphs. It has a total shoreline of 1,600 kilometers (990 miles), the majority of which is located on the Kathiawar peninsula, with an overall land area of 196,024 square kilometers (75,685 square miles). In addition, it has a population that is higher than sixty million people at the present time. Dresses in the traditional style of Gujarat: Kediya or kurta can be worn on top of the traditional Gujarati costume for males, and either dhoti or chorno can be worn at the bottom of the traditional Gujarati outfit. Chaniya Choli and sarees are two of the most common forms of women's clothing in Gujarati culture. You might have observed that they've taken to wearing salwar kameez more frequently in recent times. Caves, stupas, monasteries, temples, and monuments dating back to ancient times can be found throughout Gujarat. These buildings are excellent illustrations of the Indo-Sarcenic architectural style, which mixes characteristics of the Hindu architectural style with those of the Islamic architectural style. The city of Ahmedabad, which is also the capital of the Indian state of Gujarat, was the first in all of India to be designated a World Heritage City by UNESCO.

Hindu temple in Dubai has 16 different deities, community centre, outreach programme platform soon: Trustee
Tumblr media
Oct 06, 2022 01:11 IST Dubai , October 6 (AF): Newly inaugurated Hindu temple in Dubai has 16 different deities, a community centre for hosting several events and activities, and an outreach programme platform which is yet to open, according to the trustee of the temple. A decade-long Indian dream of a Hindu temple in the Jebel Ali area was fulfilled on Tuesday after UAE's Minister of Tolerance Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan launched a new Hindu temple. "Today is the official inauguration of the Hindu temple in Dubai. We are now part of the worship village," Raju Shroff, trustee of the Hindu Temple said yesterday. He informed that the idea behind the community centre in Dubai's worship village is to congregate people and make them feel at home. "We have created both, a place of worship with 16 different deities with North, South and East, West India so that everybody from all parts of Hinduism can come and visit us. We also have a community centre which will host community events and activities - religious activities, personal events, ceremonies, and birthdays. The idea is to congregate people and make them feel at home in Dubai," said Shroff, who is also a member of the managing committee. "The idea to have a temple is not only for the place of worship but also to become a knowledge centre and also an outreach programme platform. We will be doing that in January, once the temple is stabilized and settled. A lot of people are coming through the temple once we are stable we are opening the centre which will teach languages, and arts culture to various people who would like to come and participate, run by volunteers for the community. And we will have an outreach programme to help the underprivileged by the community members," he added. The temple was inaugurated a day ahead of the Dussehra festival and the temple is an extension of the Sindhi Guru Darbar Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the UAE. The temple's foundation was laid in February 2020. The temple, which officially opens to the public on Wednesday -- the day of the Dussehra festival, welcomes people of all faiths and has allowed entry to worshippers and other visitors to view the 16 deities and other interior works, reported Gulf News. Welcoming people from all faiths, the temple has already had its soft opening on September 1, where thousands of visitors were allowed to get a glimpse of the temple's interiors built with white marble. It has ornate pillars, Arabic and Hindu geometric designs on the facade, and bells on the ceiling. The temple management activated the QR-code-based appointment booking system via its website on its soft opening. The temple has received many visitors from day one, especially over the weekends. The restricted entry has been regulated through QR-coded appointments for crowd management and to ensure social distancing, the report said. Most of the deities are installed in the main prayer hall with a large 3D-printed pink lotus unfurling across the central dome. According to the official temple website, Dubai's new Hindu temple will be open from 6:30 am to 8 pm. Visitors who have booked their appointments to visit the temple from Dubai's official website for October 5, will be allowed entry without being subject to the hourly number restrictions which are currently in place. Moreover, the temple in Dubai has a whooping capacity to easily accommodate around 1,000 to 1,200 worshippers on a daily basis. Located in what is described as the 'Worship Village' in Jebel Ali which houses several churches and the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurudwara, the temple also installed the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of the Sikhs, in August. ausenal ‘can you just not sit still?’ travelling to London
steph catley, caitlin foord, kyra cooney-cross
"one two three four, i declare a thumb war!" you chanted, hand locked with kyras as the two of you grunted and struggled. "oh my god." steph mumbled, massaging her temples as the four of you sat in dubai airport for your layover.
"how the fuck are the two of you not tired? you did not shut up or sleep that entire flight!" caitlin groaned from beside her, head resting on her fist as you and kyra ignored them.
"winner!" you screamed happily, jumping on top of the brunette. "ow! steph." you scowled as the defender harshly smacked the back of your calf. "its four thirty in the morning here and people are clearly trying to rest. shut up!" the girl warned sternly nodding to a few other passengers curled up in chairs not far from you.
"that doesn't count we're on aussie time!" kyra slung her arm around you with a scoff. "yeah! and on aussie times its...eleven thirty seven in the morning." you checked your phone and grinned, steph only letting out a deep sigh.
"how much longer till we board?" she mumbled to caitlin. "four and a half hours." the striker answered with a sigh of her own. "we could always drug them, i'm sure theres a pharmacy somewhere in here." steph muttered, both girls seeming to contemplate the idea for a moment before abandoning it with a shake of their heads.
"oh i have cards! lets play." you remembered, swinging your backpack off and rummaging through before you found them, kyra sitting cross legged on the floor beside you.
"come on!" you pinched stephs ankle as she jolted awake and shot you a glare. "works best with four people." you shook the packet at her as kyra had successfully harassed caitlin into playing.
"one game, thats it."
though with all four of your competitive tendencies kicking in, one game quickly became five, and then ten. steph tapping out as they announced your connecting flight was delayed a further three and a half hours due to an engine issue.
"oh you've gotta be fucking kidding." caitlin groaned, you and kyra quite unbothered as you packed away the cards. "ky and i are gonna go find food." you dropped your backpack on top of steph who grunted and pushed it off with an annoyed huff, the two of you racing off before she could say another word.
"do you reckon they accept aussie dollars?" kyra realised as the two of you stood in front of a vending machine, all of the food kiosks closed for another hour due to the time. "no but they should accept this." you grinned plucking your debit card out of your pocket.
"what! i thought steph took yours? caitlins got mine." kyra groaned, the two of you having had your 'pocket money' privileges revoked after you'd decided to buy out basically the entire vending machine at camp, most of which was shared with harper and harley and caused a sugar high chaos.
"sticky fingers ky, sticky fingers." you smirked, having swiped it out of stephs wallet when she was distracted. "oh like in home alone! the sticky bandits." kyra beamed, having admitted to never having seen the movie you'd forced her to watch a whole stack of christmas films over camp.
"see! and you thought you didn't need a christmas movie education."
"jesus christ we're here for a few more hours not a few days!" caitlin shook her head as you and kyra returned, arms laden with all sorts of treats both sweet and savory. "you are not eating anything that has sugar in it before the flight, over my dead body." steph warned sternly, making quick work to try and snatch everything she deemed a danger.
little did they know you and kyra had assumed this would be the case, the majority of the sweet treats hidden away in pockets, kyras bum bag or on your persons.
"do we stop them?" caitlin sighed, wedged into the chair beside steph as you and kyra took off again to explore. "no, if they run off their energy now maybe they'll actually sleep this next flight." steph pointed out, hopeful but realistic that likely wouldn't happen.
so they left the two of you to it, grateful you'd finally left them be much as they worried what the two of you were up to, the last thing they needed was to have to bail you out of trouble with security in another country let alone in dubai.
"where the hell are they? the flight boards in five minutes!" steph stressed, trying both of your phones again which rang out. those five minutes passed, then another ten, and with seconds to spare before they considered just leaving the two of you behind suddenly you and kyra skidded around the corner into view.
"sorry! we got lost and then kyra-" you started to explain but with a murderous look from both your older team mates you fell silent, accepting your bag which was shoved into your chest and silently filing onto the plane after them.
"no! you two are being separated." steph warned as you tried to sit beside kyra, frowning and moving the seat behind so you were next to steph instead.
getting through takeoff both you and kyra were quiet, steph and caitlin both praying that meant you had indeed tired yourselves out. but as the seatbelt sign went off and steph had just started to doze off she heard you moving about, tossing and turning and huffing.
"can you just not sit still?" the defender groaned tiredly, head turning to shoot you a look as you sent her a sheepish smile. "i'm not tired!" you shrugged honestly. "watch a movie or something then, just be quiet. please!" the older girl sighed deeply as you nodded.
it seemed to have worked as steph began to doze off, but the very obvious opening of a packet of something caused her to shoot back up, catching you in the act of shoving a chocolate bar in your mouth.
"give it." steph warned, holding her hand out as you sighed and handed it over. "all of them." the girl shot you a firm look as you deflated and grabbed out the bag, watching with a broken heart as steph hid them away in her own luggage.
"you know steffy you are the worst travel buddy ever." "funny, could say the exact same about you kid. now be quiet, please!"

PM Modi's Historic Inauguration Ceremony at BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi
Tumblr media
14th February 2024, is all set to be a historic day for India in the context of its Middle East relations: on this auspicious day of Basant Panchami, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the BAPS Hindu Temple, also called the Swami Narayan Mandir, in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.
This is the first Hindu temple in the UAE and also one of the biggest outside India; that in itself is sufficient for one to be overawed. However, this was not something that happened on the spur of the moment; it had been in the works for quite a while, since 1997.
In 1997, His Holiness Pramukh Swami Maharaj, President of the Bochasanwasi Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS) visited the UAE and prayed for a temple there that fostered unity not just among religions but cultures and countries too.
Over the better part of the next 2 decades, BAPS members met with officials of the UAE government to thrash out the possibility of bringing to fruition Swami Maharaj’s dream.
Then, in 2015, 2 important things happened; Shri Narendra Modi visited the UAE – he was the first Indian PM in 34 years, after Mrs. Indira Gandhi, to go there – and the government of the UAE provided, through the Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the required land for construction of the temple in August.
Mr. Modi openly appreciated the decision of the UAE government, and both the Indian and UAE governments handed over the task of overseeing the project to the BAPS Swami Narayan Sanstha and Mandir Limited on 10th February 2018. The consecration ceremony – Shila Pujan – was completed on 11th February 2018 and BAPS members, in the presence of Swami Maharaj and members of the Indian and UAE governments, laid the foundation stone on 20th April 2019.
Tumblr media
Built at a total cost of over Rs.700 crores, the temple has 7 towers representing the seven Emirates of the UAE. It is set to be a marvel of architecture that has been built keeping in mind the practice followed in ancient times: for instance, there are no steel or iron reinforcements in the construction; it has been done entirely using stone.
Another major feature in the BAPS temple has been the use of fly ash in the concrete mix – this ensures the replacement of approximately 55% of the cement therein – to ensure eco-friendliness and a reduction of the carbon footprint. The presence of over 300 sensors at different levels ensures the availability of live data about physical factors like temperature, stress, pressure, and also seismic events.
All the years of hard work are set to bear fruit now, once PM Modi – at the invitation of BAPS members and His Holiness Brahmavihari Swami (who was recently awarded the GOOD Fellows award by SWFI Chairman, Mr. Lakshmi Narayanan) – inaugurates the temple on 14th February. He is also set to address the Indian community there at Zayed Sports City to commemorate the event.

Manifested going to 🇦🇪 (Dubai and Abu Dhabi)
(A success story part 1/2)
Tumblr media
Last year, I put Dubai on my vision board/manifestation list and let myself experience luxury in my imagination. I had no idea how I would make it to 🇦🇪 but I believed in my imagination better than anything.
Due to my SC being high and me knowing that I am VIP, I was also treated as a VIP wherever I went
Throughout 2023, I kept saying how much I deserved to be in Dubai, and well, in February of 2024, it got externalized in the best way possible.
Tumblr media
I went through specific and very interesting circumstances, but in the beginning, I was faced with challenges, but of course, I persisted no matter what. Personally, I am very stubborn and don't accept "no" as an answer from my 3D.
Some things I was also able to manifest while in Abu Dhabi and Dubai
- free rides
- new connections
- free dinner
- gifts and discounts
- a free drink
- had 2 different places to stay for free (so I didn't pay for hotels)
- a free pass to the lost chamber aquarium (Atlantis the palm)
- saw Burj Khalifa + was in Dubai Mall etc etc
- the privilege to be inside the BAPS Hindu Mandir temple when many people weren't allowed to go inside. Also , the prime minister of India, the head of the entire BAPS temple, and the King of Abu Dhabi were all there that day
And many more
Tumblr media
I am truly blessed to be living and experiencing all of these things
I am currently enjoying my other manifestation in Sharlm el Sheikh (again, a trip that I didn't need to pay for), but I will make a separate post about it

Eddie hated Christmas. He hated it ever since that time in primary school when they had to put on a nativity play and everyone but him seemed to care about that stupid Jesus story; he didn’t even know what it was about until his teacher pulled him aside to explain it to him (which only happened after Brad made fun of him for it). He hated it ever since that time they had to craft some stupid paper mache Santa, when he jumped on a table to yell at all his classmates that Santa wasn’t even real (after which his teacher scolded him and made him stand in the corner for the remainder of the day). He hated it ever since that time their classroom got a Christmas tree and his teacher demanded that he’d participate in decorating it, while refusing to let him bring a menorah from home instead.
He didn’t understand why he was forced to participate in this thing that wasn’t even his. He didn’t understand why his teachers never allowed him share the stories that his uncle always told him during the darkest days of the year: stories about the bravery of the Maccabees, the holiness of the Temple far away in Jerusalem, and the miracle of the candles. His uncle usually never talked much, but whenever they had a holiday to celebrate, he’d share the most wonderful and captivating stories in his slow, solemn voice. (Eddie had believed that his uncle was a rabbi until an embarrassingly late age).
When the first Christmas after he started dating Steve came around, he dreaded it. It was obvious to him that Steve was the kind of guy who’d care a great deal about Christmas. He’d probably want to do it all properly: hang a ridiculous amount of lights, have a big dinner, put presents under a neatly decorated tree... Eddie wanted to be on board with that, for Steve, but by G’d, he hated Christmas.
Little did Eddie know that Steve hated Christmas, too. Steve hated it ever since that Christmas dinner in some hotel in Paris, or Dubai, or maybe it was Buenos Aires, when his parents had systemically refused to talk to each other and the tension in the room was nearly sharp enough to cut the turkey without any knife. He hated it even more ever since his parents gave up on doing holidays altogether and Christmas became nothing but a check and a greeting card for him.
Eddie was baffled when Steve, on a dark evening in early December, told him how much he was struggling with the idea of turning the holiday around to make a new tradition with Eddie. Eddie laughed, full of relief, and told him he shouldn’t worry about it. They both delighted in the discovery that the other also hated Christmas, and Steve was genuinely excited to learn all about Chanukkah instead. Eddie invited him over to the trailer every evening, where they’d light the candles together and eat sufganiyot, and Wayne would tell them all the stories that were so familiar for Eddie and so new to Steve. And even though Steve didn’t share in their history, this tradition became theirs, more than Christmas could ever have.

.. the more digging in the Calendar .. the more discovery of birthdays of Ef missed from the database .. and this is regretted 😔 .. but there are serious attempts and hard work going on to retrieve all missed dates and make it up for the Ef ..
Love ❤️
Birthday - EF - Serena Krishnan .. Tuesday, 6 June ... and our wishes as ever for this day of birth .. love ❤️
Science and technology have taken over the World and the dependence that we had on other factors is gradually moving further away .. how far, we are not knowing .. for at the end of the line there appears another and another and another .. unexplainable and unknown ..
So we relentlessly pursue ..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
... and find that the end of the line is as blank as an empty screen and a once occupied room ..
Tumblr media
Be that as it may, the love of those that bring wonder and cheer and the joy of existence persist at every Sunday GOJ ..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
poor kids .. they shall never know why they were subjected to this torture .. !!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.. i felt they wait for hours in this sweltering heat , so to provide them drinking water with lime to quench their thirst .. 4 containers ,2 on either side of the gate .. over and above the ‘matka’ that is permanently there during the day and night
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
.. some sarcastically commented on a few occasions .. “ who goes out wearing socks and bare feet “ .. I say ..’I DO” ! .. you got a problem with that  !!??
“You go to the temple bare feet .. my well wishers are my temple  !!”
Tumblr media
some happy ..
Tumblr media
some not so happy ..
Tumblr media
.. and some distant ..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the innovative Indian .. finding an opportunity and moving in to gather the fruits of it  .. or the ‘kulfi’ ... 🤣

Comfort be the elements of use in these times of uncared for attitudes , breaking away from any tradition that could have been imposed ..
Shoes ..
The comfort of the ‘sneakers’ or whatever else they may be called .. the nikes, the other brands , all .. now the formal wear irrespective ..
that black patent leather, that polished bright , whatever , has disappeared .. the white bordered comfort wear be the IT .. !
at the Roland Garros the interviewer at the end of a game does a live chat on the court with the winner .. jacket pants shirt all formal .. shoes .. sneakers ..
LOVELY ..
this French tournament .. French , which has epitomised trend and fashion through ages , submits itself to the latest comfort ..
I do remember a Roland Garros tournament where at the end of a game the Management asked the great French Tennis Champion, the first black French Champion to win a Grand Slam, YANNIK NOAH to come down and make a presentation to the winner .. and he came down in jacket tie and all other formals .. but in jeans .. !!
And the crowd and the commentators murmured in a gasp at this  .. !!!
I was so impressed by Noah to have not cared for the formal tradition and resort to the comfort of wear .. 🤣 ..
And now the entire World is comforted by jeans and sneakers .. and the ladies with the same attire - even tights - for ease of movement at work ..
Oh ! this is a lovely World .. !!!
COVER THY MODESTY .. WITH PRIDE .. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS ..
Love ❤️

no one asked for this but i was in the kitchen makin instant ramen and poleaxed by the thought of landoscar puppy play post-melbourne in the style of a fic i thought was gemjam's but now can't find where mark webber gave his then-protegee mitch evans a collar to help with homesickness anyway whatever have some fuckin words
edit: fuck's sake cassian obviously it was a collar and a kiss by zeraparker
mild warning for hopelessly undernegotiated kink
"Don't you ever get homesick?" Oscar could count the number of people he'd less like to be having this conversation with than Lando Norris on one hand and one of them's the bored immigration officer who had to tell him he'd not got his passport stamped right in Doha.
Lando snaps his gum, looking up to the ceiling like he's actually thinking about it. "No? Not really. I was sick of fucking Bali over Christmas, jesus and I don't want to go back to Dubai but like, home is everywhere innit?"
"No." Oscar closes his eyes, pinches the bridge of his nose. Obviously Lando doesn't experience this, he could literally drive to his parents' house on half a tank of fuel, straight out of the MTC car park. Straight from Oscar's flat, where for some reason he's letting Lando crash as though him seeing the post-Australia comedown is a good idea.
"Hmm." Hearing Lando think is always disturbing. "Well, what can I do about it?"
Oscar has to open his eyes again in disbelief. 'What do you mean do about it?"
Seeing Lando cocking his head on one side, like a dog, makes something painful sear across Oscar's temples. "You're sad, I want to fix it. Max always-"
"Don't tell me about that." He can't hear about Max Fewtrell right now. The guy haunting the garage all weekend was enough. Oscar doesn't need a reminder he's not Lando's first anything, needs to keep the thoughts about breaking up with his girlfriend so they can properly be a thing to himself.
"Well." Lando is literally sitting on his hands. "Then you have to tell me about it yourself."
Thing is, this is too much. It's not the kind of thing he should share with Lando. Lando who he just got team-ordered for, Lando who he needs to match the tyre management of, Lando who will sit there and smile angelically and get his fucking way on anything they ever diverge on about feedback.
Oscar's clenching his jaw so hard he can almost feel the ache where they took his wisdom teeth, though. Another thing he didn't know he'd really miss this much.
"You can't fucking laugh at me." Why's he said that, for fuck's sake? Lando laughs at everything, would probably do it at a funeral in his weird, stressed-out way when he doesn't know how to socially behave.
"Ok." Lando's eyes are very big and he's looked up from his phone. "I can order TimTams on Uber Eats?"
That's actually quite sweet. But not what Oscar needs right now.
"Just - stay here." Lando's fucking weird, he's probably into some of this shit himself. If not something freakier, lying around his Monaco flat in a gimp mask, suffocating himself or god-knows-what shit.
It doesn't take long to find the box. Oscar's consciously never accumulated too much stuff in this flat, like he might have to move out of it any time. Like everything might have to go in a suitcase because the contract review board said it's over, kiddo, go back down under and pretend you understand your dad's business enough to pay him back.
It's not got very much in. Oscar doesn't like to wear too much, when he's like this. Just a t-shirt and shorts or his boxers. He doesn't think he's ready for Lando to see him shirtless, like this, make his eyes crinkle up in glee at how much of Oscar he can touch.
It'd be better if Lando did it, if someone put it on for him but that's too complicated to ask for, so Oscar does it himself, mostly. Puts the soft shorts on, an old Prema shirt that's a little too tight to wear outdoors but feels comfy, soft, reassuring on his skin.
The ears are easy but the collar. He can't do that, himself. Can't give himself the ball, the well-chewed, if pristinely laundered, beanie toy. Whines, unhappily, about it.
"Osc-" obviously, Lando heard him. The sounds of him chaotically standing up, nearly falling over Oscar's rug and stumbling towards his bedroom door, are already clattering through the flat. "Can I come in?"
He just whines again, an animal thing. Oscar needs permission, like this, doesn't give it.
"Ok you better not be dying because I never finished the first aid-" Lando stops in the doorway. "Oh."
Oscar sinks to the floor, his knees bending beneath him, shoving the box at Lando before he folds down on his knees and elbows, looking up at the guy he's supposed to do anything to beat.
"Good..." Lando moves his mouth around for a moment, licks his lips. "Puppy?"
He doesn't have a tail to wag, although he has thought about one of the plugs, sometimes. Objectively, the bit of Oscar's brain that's still somewhat functioning says wiggling his arse must make him look ridiculous, especially when he paws at the box and whines again.
Lando crouches down, touches the ears. "Do you want to go out?"
Oscar cringes back, shaking his head violently. God, imagine the headlines.
"Ok." Lando does his head-cock thing again, then sticks his hands into the box. "Do you want your collar?"
It's pretty shameful, the way Oscar crawls forward so easily, smushes his face against Lando's knee and maybe he should have asked about this properly but Lando goes easily, scritching behind Oscar's ear. "Oh you're such a good boy, look at you."
Lando fumbles the collar for a second, not getting the buckle right the first time and it's nearly uncomfortable enough Oscar stands up, right back out of it but then it goes and it's snug and tight and good, Lando's hand in his hair.
"Are these your toys?" Lando shifts to kneeling, lets Oscar get his head right in his lap, nuzzling against Lando's stomach through the pouch of his hoodie. He doesn't need to answer that one, it's pretty obvious.
"Well, I don't think Oscar would want you breaking his stuff, so I'm going to leave the ball here." The third person is a jolt, like a nod to camera but it feels right. Oscar is elsewhere, can worry about that later.
"Come on then, good dog." Lando stands up, with the beanie toy in hand. It's a koala, a stupid joke. "Come and play, then."
It's not a comfortable flat to get through on your hands and knees, hard wooden floor jarring him in a way that'll probably bruise a bit, tomorrow. Lando's walking easily, waggling the beanie like he thinks he needs to keep Oscar interested.
Not Oscar. Puppy. It feels good.
Lando pushes the coffee table away, scraping on the floor in a way Oscar's landlord will probably have an opinion about when he comes to pay the deposit back. But puppies don't worry about that kind of thing, so Oscar just crawls over to where Lando's sitting, legs spread and outstretched, on the rug.
"Come on," Lando holds out the beanie, waving it by Oscar's mouth. "You want this, yeah?"
Oscar growls, nips at it. It's not the toy he wants, really, just the -
Ah, perfect. Lando pulls Oscar forward by the toy, right on top of him as he leans back. Oscar can paw him like his, Lando laughing delightedly and twisting away.
It's - he's seen the video, McLaren posted it for some national day or something last year - the same way Lando plays with his family's dog. Silly, rolling around the floor, letting Oscar half-hump him while Lando's shrieking and trying to get out of his grip, only to dive back in, wrestling with Oscar.
The rug scoots across the floor under them and they nearly crash into the telly, Oscar ending up on his back, against the sofa, Lando tickling his tummy but the toy in Oscar's mouth, triumphant.
"Are you submitting? Are you letting me lead the pack?" It's a bit on the nose but yeah, maybe. Oscar kicks out a leg, half-heartedly, to show he isn't always going to be ok with that.
"What a good boy." That, he is always ok with. More than human-Oscar would like to admit.
Lando lies down next to him, face a bit flushed and eyes bright from playing. "Always wanted a dog. You can even come to all the races."
