This scene shows how Yami and Yuugi don't really see themselves as separate from each other. They both know that the other is an independent entity but they also are so entwined with each other, in spirit and flesh, that they just bleed into each other. The line where one stops and the other beings is at times blurred to the point where acknowledging them as a singular being is not out of the question.

the relationship between the chantry and the mortalitasi in nevarra is SO fucking funny. the carefully politic and civil syncretism of it all. the ‘I’ll refrain from scratching your back to bloody shreds if you refrain from scratching mine :)’. left hand politely averting its eyes from whatever the fuck the right hand is doing merrily up to its elbow in entrails because it usually knows what it’s doing I guess. speak softly, and have an army of the restless dead ready to go banapants horrorshow bonkers if you don’t get to tend to them. One of my favorite details in the manga is how Astral, at the beginning, had an indefinite and vaporous body, but as his adventure with Yuma progressed, he seemed to have gained a more concrete form, and towards the end, he became completely tangible.

i've been thinking...is manhunt like canon on the lore? Multiple characthers mention it or call cdream the guy from manhunt. And tbh if we speculate it's part of his past, then it'd be a interesting backstory and could explain some of cdream characther.

Manhunt happens in a closed server only for him and his friends. There are rules set that always follow: 1. If dream dies it's over 2. Dream needs to kill the ended dragon. And it has this thing that death it's not so Big of a deal. Yes if dream dies the video is over but they'll just Spawn in a new world to start again.

On the dsmp dream now it's not only his Friends and him. It's other people who also breaks the rules, and i can see him playfully breaking rules with his Friends but with people not so close? Not sm. And not only the form of countries and stuff but not everyone is having fun anymore like in manhunt with the wars and stuff. Specially when this server wasn't meant to be the crazy battle ground manhunt is so he'll be specting some respect here.

Also his fear of death bc while in manhunt just meant "to the next world i Guess" now he has to confront that i'm the dsmp it means going to a hell space that mocks You for eternity.

And idk manhunts being his backstory could put Interesting visions of his present self tho i know it can contradict some stuff but i still find it interesting

It does make sense, and lots of fanfics include this as canon, and I’ve always thought it was cool. In the same way the duel is referenced and important for context. Though just as reasonable to not see it as canon. The idea of Dream’s grapple with death in the context of that is really interesting as you point out, with death still being serious (for him) - the end of the game, but also not truly permanent. Especially, early on he makes a point that the survival world is meant to be somewhere they take it slow. For once, they are not rushing to get gear and go to the End but spending more time building and fooling around and on the same team. So much so it is a rule he enforces onto other people, preventing people from progressing too fast with gear ahead of other people or op farms and going to the End. Perhaps we could connect this to him fearing people going to the End as it means Game Over, (perhaps he even thinks that means permanent death) he doesn’t want the fun to stop - “I don’t want this to be temporary” - a mindset that’d make a lot of sense with a past of restarting over and over again, a mindset other people wouldn’t necessarily have without the same background…

In my Sweet Dream series, the manhunts and other silly videos they do like - every mob is a pig - is a dream Dream creates and has everyone in. Always with the same goal of beating the ender dragon (maybe he’s just not that creative to come up with other objectives lol) but new twists to have fun with his friends and save them from any of their nightmares by bringing them into his dream where he can control a lot of what happens… so that’s how I’m making it canon in that series, which I thought was pretty clever. :)

Now we know that one part of Doma's evil plan of resetting the world is to put the whole world under a single time zone otherwise there is no way it would be night in all of these countries around the same time

the picture below is of the map with all the timezones marked and you can see that it is impossible for all the countries shown above to have night time at the same time (exceptions go to UK and France that are in the same time zone & India and China which are two hours apart and can share a night time but that is not what is shown here)
