having pebbles moon and nish all be located in the amazon forest is making my brain gears spin so much (in a good way). now I'm picturing and wondering where the rest of the group would be if they were in brazil since it has such diverse climates and flora. currently rotating the spotster serotonin take in my mind
i mean... "would be if", that's more of a play for the brain of someone who's there and has that general knowledge from living there and emotional investment in the country- of which you are. i am honored n go off havin fun ponderin it! but i'm not exactly skilled in some way with Brazil's geography to really supply much to this
only thing really is that Wind is somewhere nearby Brazil the city. afaik that's a pretty plain-y place

Ace's All Time Best Fic Rec List (AATBFRL) April 2024: Ace Attorney
It's been a 6 months since my last list so here we go again! (I specified Ace Attorney in case I start doing this for other fandoms.) I originally planned to have all the old recs here as well but the list was too long so here's a link to the previous list. These aren't necessarily in any particular order, but if you can think of a good way for me to organize them, please let me know for future lists!
P.S. Anything rated over T mentions that immediately for your browsing convenience.
Doing more self promotion this year, so check out my pinned post or fic tag (desktop only)!
London, 2021- 7 yg Wrightworth hint of Krisnix. Phoenix is presently in London with Edgeworth. Phoenix is presently knowing that he knows about Kristoph but doesn't want to acknowledge it bc Kristoph has been really good to him and Trucy. But that doesn't matter right now bc they're going to the theatre.
if you leave the light on- 7yg Wrightworth. Nothing can happen until it's over but something Keeps happening. Miles will wait as long as it takes and Trucy decides he's part of the family.
In The Dead Of Night- During the 7yg Edgeworth invites the Wrights to Europe. Trucy has a nightmare and 'Uncle Miles' comforts her.
Phoenix's List- After getting his badge back, Phoenix has some regrets and sets about fixing what he can.
Perfect- I actually found this on another fic rec list and I can see why it was their favorite. Set towards the end of the trial of Bridge to Turnabout. TW if you have memory issues, it might be a little hard to get through parts bc of all the mindfuckery. I have to be really vague here so as not to spoil it. (Wrightworth)
Eo Nomine- Klapollo fake marriage turned real marriage but ig that's what happen when you get fake married while being real in love.
the best you'll never have- Rated M for sex reasons. I love the tagline: "Someone else's wedding is something that can actually be so personal". It's a Blackmadhi complicated relationship, what relationship, they weren't actually dating but also...
Apollo and the Artist (1975 - Oil paint, wax crayon, pencil, collage)- Rated M for mentioned sex reasons. Apollo is not an art person. But to Klavier he is art... and also a person. They've known each other for 8 years and it's probably been coming for just as long. It was a long time coming.
darling i'd wait for you (even if you didn't ask me to)- Wrightworth fake date bc Edgeworth needs a plus one to a wedding for some guy, it's not really important. But the cake sucks.
A Knight in a Loud Red Suit- oh my god oh my god oh my god Klavier gets shot and Apollo stabs a guy. And also love confessions at the hospital. They could have me also if they wanted.
Written- Rated E for sex reasons. Edgeworth moonlights as a Steel Samurai fic writer, and due to it being an obvious coping mechanism for his life and feeling Maya finds out... and accidentally sends a fic to Phoenix who... finds out. Half of the smut is Edgeworth's own fanfic, so we get like... fanfic-ception. That doesn't really work with more than one syllable words, huh...
Lover Be Good to Me- Rated M for implied sex reasons. 5+1 klapollo wooing each other.
Love Love Love- Rated M for implied sex reasons. klapollo is messy in a good way and takes wayyyy too long to call themselves boyfriends. Set from middle of aa4 to past aa6.
delicate- Rated M for sex reasons. klapollo is messy in a bad way (long distance is hard) and they break up but it works out, I prommy. If you don't like angst you'll want to skip this one, though.
(i was) enchanted to meet you- klavquill! I love them, I need to read more fics with them. They meet at the Prosecutor gala for the first time and sparks fly. Actually, they were fireworks, but that's not important.
Process of Elimination- Rated M for sex reasons. One day I will read a fic where Blackmadhi is not complicated as hell. Can they ever talk about their feelings? Apparently I like this, though, bc I keep reading and recc'ing them. Um, Nahyuta is looking for a fuck buddy and by 'process of elimination' ends up deciding on Blackquill but whoops! Feelings.
feel your skin- Rated M for one boner. Klavier is infuriating AND wearing lipgloss and Apollo can't take it. Cue making out in the janitor's closet.
moribund- I keep thinking about this one so I need everyone else to read and think about it with me. Pre Gant busting, POV Lana has to help clean up his messes. This a comedy, mostly of errors.
chronophobia- StarrSkye (AngelxLana) Be forewarned, you are going to cry. Lana has done her time and is trying to find a way to reconnect with the most important people from her past.
Crash! Landing- Junithena, fantastic traumatized autistic representation, if I do say so myself as a traumatized autistic person. It is very sweet and Juniper is a real one. I need me one of those.
In Pursuit of Justice- This one is not yet complete, but I preemptively j'adore'd it. It's a klapollo. Sebastian is great. He says Apollo looks like a frog (accurate).
Witcheln Woes- Secret Santa klapollo and they are cute and Clay is alive and it is sooooo fluffy.
Samurai Swear- Maya making besties with Edgeworth! Maya and Phoenix being besties also! Dash of mutual pining wrigthworth.
Missing You/Missing Time- Ok, hear me out, yes, the mystical bullshit tag is accurate, and de-aging is a weird concept, but !!! It actually serves this story very well! It is a fanfic that feels like a fanfic, but sometimes you want that, you know? Not every fanfic needs to feel like Little Women. Established klapollo first I love yous.

Maps of Tenebrae by Pockymun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tenebrae was such a beast. I thought Galahd was difficult; Tenebrae is so much bigger and has continental climates to deal with. Like last time, I nearly lost my mind trying to make sense of the climates, so I kind of gave up.
Most of the writing I've done for FFXV has skirted around Tenebrae, focusing moreso on its politics than the landmass itself. It's been in the background for the most part, largely because I didn't have a proper map to explore with! I copied it the best I could from reference images.
Tenebrae is not as cold as I initially assumed it was. It has a warm ocean current on its western side that brings much rain and warm winds that keep the northern reaches largely temperate. The eastern side of Tenebrae is hit with a cold ocean current, getting far less rain and winds. The fishing is better on the east coast. The southern half of Ulwaat was given a temperate rainforest climate based on what we saw of Tenebrae in Kingsglaive; it had that dark green flora of a rainforest.
I base a lot of my headcanons for Tenebrae off of Western Europe primarily, with a little bit from Northern Europe. The way I figured the latitude lines of Eos, Tenebrae is still well below the subartic circle (assuming Eos has one). It's climate is based upon Ireland, the UK, and Scotland, but those three have only two climates: oceanic and subpolar oceanic. I chose climate terms that best described the forests found in Tenebrae. Because Tenebrae is nothing but forests, mountains, and hills.
Tenebrae is the land of high altitudes and trees. What reference images we have of Tenebrae seemed to have a lot of peaks on it. In the glimpse of Tenebrae that we saw in the movie, there are large rock islands that just float above the rest of the land. While Galahdians have a knack for using magic, Tenebrae itself is a land of magic. These floating islands are unique to its mountains mostly, although a few clusters can exist separately.
Water also seems to be a theme for Tenebrae, with its northern cape, the southern sounds, and a few small bays all around. Where there are mountains, there are rivers running down to the ocean. I imagine there are natural springs all around the country, used as a natural remedy for several ailments.
I will dump my headcanons about Tenebrae below:
I've been talking with @groovytimetravelflower, who has the theory that Niflheim's airships are powered by stones or ores mined from the floating islands. It just makes perfect sense. Niflheim had several reasons to invade Tenebrae: to dominate the whole continent, to establish complete control over trade, and to get their hands on whatever magic exists in the land.
Much of the magic is not well-known nor understood beyond the floating islands. The forests of Tenebrae are old, especially in the north.
The only other country close enough for Tenebrae to trade with is Niflheim. Though Tenebrae has a couple ports of its own, these are not large enough for massive shipyards and international trade. Trading with Niflheim allows Tenebraen trade goods to go farther in the world. The downside is that Niflheim can control all trade that Tenebrae does, taking things for the Empire and blocking imports.
The country is very difficult to navigate because of the terrain. Roads are often winding and go around obstacles; this was done moreso out of the belief that the land could not be damaged by man-made endeavors. Trains have only been established in Ulwaat. There may be a few antique cars, but the most common mode of transportation on main roads are chocobo-drawn carriages, or riding chocobos.
Tenebrae is behind on technology overall: this is a result of Niflheim conquering them so long ago. Niflheim doesn't often invest in the lands they conquer. You can see this in how mainland Lucis has such outdated technology, which was left to languish once the Imperials seized control. Most high-technology Tenebrae is exposed to comes from the Imperial Army and is only used in their operations. Ulwaat is the most developed province. The railroad in Ulwaat was developed by the Empire to more easily transport the stone and ore they mined in the mountains.
The further away one gets from Fenestala, the less modern technology there is. In Morrith, Krahage, and Bruiral, indoor plumbing is a recent technological advancement. Not all places have it; it requires electricity, which is difficult to establish in Northern Tenebrae. Because Tenebrae is such a mystical place and the population is probably very religious because of the Oracle, not a lot of people mind being behind in technology.
Cellphones are unheard of, and you wouldn't get reception in most of Tenebrae anyway. Fenestala Manor probably has a couple TVs, but similarly, reception is terrible. Radio signals come through a little more clearer, mostly because the Imperial Army needs them to.
The architecture of the capital and towns of Tenebrae is Victorian and Edwardian, with art noveau used in Fenestala Manor. Villages typically are full of cottages of wood or stone and roofed with thatch. The typical fashion is also Victorian and Edwardian, although more of the youth have recently begun to wear the modern Western clothing imported from Niflheim. People further north of the Breksos Mountains dress in traditional Celtic and Norse garb.
The Breksos Mountain Range naturally divides Tenebrae into a North and a South. These regions do not strictly adhere to the cardinal directions; it is just what people have referred to it as. Travel through these mountains is especially difficult. There is one passage near Woudoord, but it becomes blocked by snow in the winter, completely isolating the north.
Queen Sylva frequently sent aid in the form of doctors, vaccines, and schoolteachers to Northern Tenebrae. She did a lot to improve the relations across the mountains, although the past few Oracles have never gone north of the mountains. All aid stopped with her death. The Northerners became even more apprehensive of Southerners as they appeared to submit to the Empire.
Northern Tenebrae is even further behind in technological advancements than Southern Tenebrae (ie the indoor plumbing). Northern Tenebrae is very isolated from the rest of the world, especially in the winter. It's rare for a Northerner to travel south, and vice versa. The South views the North as barbarous, and the North view the South as weak. Southerners are prim and proper; Northerners... are not. Both greatly revere the Oracle.
As I said before, Tenebraens are religious, largely in part to the Oracle's presence. Tenebrae has become known as a land of healers, with many practicing natural remedies. The people are generally modest and proper. Victorian and Edwardian social customs still run strong.
Tenebraens are seen as mysterious and exotic to the rest of the world. Niflheim hasn't allow Tenebraens to leave their country since they attacked Fenestala Manor, so it's very rare to see one in Lucis. The rest of the world doesn't really understand the difference between North and South Tenebraens. The differences become clear when putting one of each side by side and listening to the bickering.
-
Feel free to use these maps when writing your own fics or headcanons! I would greatly appreciate being credited. These maps are just my interpretation, and don't stand in for canon material. They are flawed, but I worked with what I had. I made these using Inkarnate.

Some more John being baffled by Team EOS&Scott schenanigans because they amuse me…
✨✨✨✨
“John, you should take a trip to the South West of England.”
John looked up from the weather front he was monitoring
“Why is that EOS?”
“This deli claims to produce the most delicious bagels in Europe.”
“Good to know. What brought that to your attention?”
“Scott asked me to investigate the best place to order from in that locality.”
John noted the dropping of the surname from her habitual reference to his family members. Thus far, only he had been on first name terms with his AI. It seemed his big brother had been upgraded too.
“He did, did he?” John paused, wondering whether further enquiry was overstepping a boundary. Maybe it was a little, but Scott had been acting weirdly and as a caring brother John should keep an eye on him.
“Did he say why?”
“We sent a ‘care package’ to a friend.” EOS enunciated the new phrase carefully.
John’s eyebrows defied his attempt to maintain a poker face. Turning away from EOS’s camera track he opened a private line to Virgil.

TOP 10 FILMS OF 2022
In a year full of huge blockbusters, record-breaking indies and a sequel for just about every movie ever made, here are my top 10 films of 2022.
“Aftersun” (dir. Charlotte Wells): An incredibly personal, poignant and heartbreaking directorial debut with performances for the ages from Frankie Corio and Paul Mescal. Following a father and daughter on holiday, the film’s editing and sound design also stand out in this 96 minute emotional masterwork. I’d type more but I’d start crying. Seriously.
“Babylon” (dir. Damien Chazelle): A three hour spectacle of filmmaking and the perils of transitioning through one’s career as the environment around you shifts uncontrollably. Chazelle goes back to his “Whiplash” roots, with tension dialed up to 10 for most of the film, especially the final hour. Diego Calva leads the film perfectly, Margot Robbie gives one of the best performances of the year, and the entire supporting cast (especially Jovan Adepo) are phenomenal. Brilliant crafts and one of my favorite endings in recent memory. Definitely worth the big-screen experience.
“The Banshees of Inisherin” (dir. Martin McDonough): The perfect encapsulation of the deterioration of a friendship that should not go to the levels it does. The entire cast is superb, with all four stars (Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon, and Barry Keoghan) deserving of awards recognition and will likely be huge threats in their respective acting categories. It’s a gorgeous film that is absolutely hilarious and heartbreaking at the same time, with a thesis that leaves you questioning everything but also never once lets you pick sides in the central battle. And it only gets better and funnier on each rewatch.
“EO” (dir. Jerry Skolimowski): One of the most immersive cinematic experiences I have ever had. The film, Poland’s submission for Best International Feature, places you directly in the eyes of a donkey named EO as he ventures across Europe and the many types of people and perils the world requires you to face, should you be brave enough to venture outside into them. Despite never saying a word, the film uses its breathtaking cinematography and sensory-inducing editing to allow you to understand everything EO does on an incredibly emotional level unlike anything I have ever witnessed.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” (dirs. Daniel Kwan & Daniel Scheinert): The best and most original film I’ve seen in years. I’ve spoken so much about my absolute love for this film. I saw it 8 times in theaters in 2022, including one screening in IMAX at the TCL Chinese Theatre (which was life-altering). The multiverse masterpiece follows Michelle Yeoh playing a woman who just wants to do her taxes, but finds herself trapped in an inter-dimensional war that affects her current universe all too much. Stephanie Hsu and Ke Huy Quan deserve Oscars for the heart and soul they are able to bring to the film, and Yeoh is my pick for Best Actress, brilliantly balancing every version of her character within a film that changes genres so quickly and dramatically. A brilliant feat of filmmaking.
“Living” (dir. Oliver Hermanus): Based on the 1952 Akira Kurosawa film “Ikiru”, “Living” centers on a man (Bill Nighy) who is coming to terms with his impending death and understanding what it means to be alive and live. Nighy is brilliant and leads the film with impeccably perfect acting, and the film ponders and allows for many questions about life. It’s simply beautiful and never goes where you think, despite being given a road map at the start of the film. If I left the film with anything, it’s that what we choose to do with the time we have matters.
“Marcel the Shell with Shoes On” (dir. Dean Fleischer-Camp): A feature length film based on the YouTube short films, Fleischer-Camp returns to the world of Marcel with star Jenny Slate back as the voice of the a tiny shell you will instantly fall in love with. It’s a stop-motion animation marvel that is able to beautifully combine genres together and never once feels like the bit is going on too long. You’ll want to stay with Marcel for a very long time, and he, once you see the film, will stay with you.
“Nope” (dir. Jordan Peele): Yep. Peele leads Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer, Steven Yeun and Brandon Perea, among others, in this beautifully complex and terrifying thriller that never once goes where you think it will. Peele gives all the puzzle pieces to us in the first watch, but repeated viewings continue to make the puzzle more complete. With some of the best crafts and scenes of the year, especially the score, “Nope” proves that Jordan Peele isn’t running out of brilliant ideas anytime soon.
“TÁR” (dir. Todd Field): Cate Blanchette is terrifying and brilliant as Lydia Tár, a conductor preparing for one of the biggest career achievements of her life while also dealing with the consequences of her previous actions. The film asks some incredibly difficult questions and, even with a daunting 158 minute runtime, doesn’t leave anything unanswered. The film at times feels like a horror film, and is incredibly tense and filled with flashes and visions of the past. Repeated viewings will reward with hidden ghosts and a greater understanding of Todd Field’s vision as a writer and Blanchette’s performance, both of which cannot be praised highly enough and will be huge and deserved contenders during awards season.
“Women Talking” (dir. Sarah Polley): The ensemble of the year, the film follows a group of Mennonite women who are discussing the best course of action to take after an incredibly dark discovery. Polley bakes in the questions of what it means to have a voice and how it can be silenced without realization. The entire cast is absolutely astounding (Claire Foy, in particular, gives a stellar performance), and the score and cinematography are simply stunning. It’s a film that asks hard questions and deals with even harder subject matters, but still remains hopeful even in the darkest of moments.
Score: “정훈희” (Jeong Hun Hi or Jeong Hoon-hee) (안개(Fog) 1967)” from “Decision to Leave” (dir. Park Chan-wook)

speaking of atmospheric af Polish cinema, Jerzy Skolimowski's film EO (Pl: IO) was just nominated for an Oscar for Best International Feature Film (as well as lots of other awards).
I haven't been able to watch it because it's not playing anywhere near me and not streaming anywhere yet, but apparently it's about a sympathetic donkey who was just fired from the circus making his way through Europe (Poland, Italy, elsewhere?) and meeting people and learning their stories. It looks really beautiful

Unmanned Aircraft Systems Market Drivers
Rise in application of UAS by Armed forces and Other government agencies
The market for Unmanned Aircraft Systems is likely to benefit enormously from the rising safety concerns of Armed forces and different agencies around various parts of the globe. In many leading economies such as U.S, China, India, Japan and Others, the Defense Department of these countries have shown massive investments to provide their troops with all necessary military equipment which comprises mainly of UAVs and different drones. Rise in the application of UAVs by different Government agencies has been promoting the growth of Unmanned Aircraft Systems in global market. For instance, due to rise in safety concerns of armed forces and government agencies, the U.S. Department of Defence classified its unmanned aerial vehicles, which include various models of military and government surveillance drone, according to a group system that groups by factors such as maximum altitude. This system ranges from Group 1 (<1200 ft AGL) to Group 5 (> 18,000 ft). These initiatives tend to drive the market growth of UAS in forecast period. IdeaForge had signed a $20 million contract with the Indian Army in January 2021 to supply drones. This is a continued effort by the Indian Government to procure locally manufactured UAS solutions.
Growing application of UAS in air Strikes
In recent years, there has been a huge increase in the global war conflicts and severe terrorist attacks in different parts of the globe. For instance, According to SIPRI (Stockholm International Peace Research Institute) statistics, there were at least 15 countries with active armed conflicts in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2019. Nigeria, Kenya, Mali, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo among others. These active armed conflicts tend to enhance the demand of various surveillance UAVs further driving the market growth of Unmanned Aircraft Systems. Moreover, increasing ISR missions by Military & Defence sector for peace processes in highly-tensed war locations has further uplifted the demand of UAS for air strikes which tend to drive the demand of UAS in global level. Unmanned Aircraft Systems delivers airborne ISR services to intelligence, defence and homeland security officials with collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of information across the full spectrum of the Department of Defence and Intelligence Community’s mission. These applications has brought major growth in the demand of UAS, further driving its market growth. According to data obtained by VOA, U.S. airstrikes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Somalia totaled 852 in 2021, which despite being a 42% fewer than in 2020 despite the proportion of drone strikes rising. This will drive market growth.
Unmanned Aircraft Systems Market Challenges
Lack of skilled pilots and vulnerable to hackers
Various UAVs are used by different end-users for their respective applications. The pilots for UAVs in Military & Defense sector are well trained for their purpose. On the other hand, various commercial drones which are used for mapping, surveying and other applications in Real-Estate or Recreation sector lack skilled pilots. This tend to restrain the market growth of UAS in these sectors. Moreover, UAVs are controlled at remote area thus they require a data link with the base control. Hackers can intercept the data link network and access users control system. This can lead to disruption of privacy and can be very handy to people with wrong intentions. For instance, US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)’s RQ-170 Sentinel stealth UAS, a key weapon in the intelligence gathering arsenal got hacked during operation in Afghanistan. They first jammed its communications links, which disconnected it from ground controllers and made it switch to autopilot. The drone was forced to search for unencrypted GPS frequencies as they sent the UAS with wrong GPS coordinates, tricking it into believing that it was near its home base in Afghanistan.

hi
you've mentioned that sparrows would have reincarnated as a slugcat?
would you mind elaborating on that?
also would they have met caper again after becoming all scuggy?
heehee
hoohoo hee :)c of course i'll elaborate! it is Her ✨ Fish's little best animal friend
Tumblr media
wonderfully enough, Sparrows and the Tinkerer were developed completely removed from each other in my head, so Tinkerer still feels like a rather separate character from Sparrows even though they somehow wound up havin a lot of similiarities. exactly how the reincarnation stuff should feel like
the Tinkerer is Sparrows! and no character in-universe will ever find out. it isn't important. nobody but Tinkerer is affected by this, and Tinktink doesn't really have the means to speak about it. but for us behind the screens that know about this it will make Tinktink's interactions with the world just a lil bit more juicy
you've sent this at a good time, too! the day ur question came in i was actually pondering how to somehow make use of this reincarnation fact and not just let it float about as a lil bonus for the people that would know about this lil tiny ultimately unimportant connection
so, the idea: as we (probably) all know, Euros is going to end up developing the Rot. this is distressing for a large amount of reasons, but the main point rn is that Euros is also a secret archive of folklore of the lower circles in the Eo group, plus maybe even a little bit over the range's borders to the east (after all, there's two more groups right next door to him n he's a phone operator chief). Euros is going to die a slow painful death and he won't be able to care for or save his collection of knowledge, which somehow manages to hurt him more than the reality of his impending doom
maybe not so surprising, considering that in his archive are the stories, the history, the spirit of his late lover's home- a place he clung to for as long as he could, the one he spent the most time in with his overseers, the one that held people he constantly wished could be his citizens instead of the vile and fake *things* soiling the streets of Ales
so one day after the Fish has properly reconnected to the Eo group, is caught up on current events and trying his *damnest* to revive Mission Self-preservation even though it is guaranteed to be useless, Euros mentions the nightmare that he's living through
"I'm a dead man walking, carrying precious treasures of people that were never heard crying out. I've held them close and safely within myself for over two thousand years. And now, when I'm fated to rot through and splatter on the ground, I fear all this time will be for nought. That I will kill what I've been protecting for so long."
"Even if nobody ever reads these- learns of them, hears them out from above their graves- I can't bear the thought of losing them."
and well Fish DOES have a lot of beef with Euros, but at this point this bitterness is starting to give away to desperation and horror of the terrible torment waiting for them in the future. he might be stubbornly still trying with the Mission, but he would go against what makes him himself if he didn't acknowledge that they are all damned for good no matter what he tries. so he gives in to the pity and hails Tinkerer to his chamber
he explains to her what he needs her to do and tells Euros about the plan. Tinktink has to travel all of this distance
Tumblr media
to get to Euros (basically walk through the whole Europe), but dammit, she helped one Iterator that became her closest friend, she will help another one (a different Gen 2 that she loved and dedicated her whole life to in a different life)
Fish sends her on her way with a hug and a plead to keep herself safe
it takes her over a month to get there even with the help of vehicles like the barely working trains and a remshackle sky-sail that Fish guided her through fixing in their free time together. when she gets on top of Euros' structure, the dejavus start to hit. she visits the Mechanics' home, her feet carrying her to the bedroom as if it was just another end of the workshift. she looks in the cupboards she- opened millions of times- never even touched. she walks outside and then down the path to the entrance into the Iterator she's- taken countless times- never set a foot on
she saw these halls so many times she can pin point where every screw is- she's never been here, she can't understand these giant beings, they are too complex for her animal brain. that specific rhythm of beeps and pumps and water rushing through metal veins has haunted- comforted- her in many of her dreams. the Tinkerer makes it to the chamber almost like on an auto-pilot
when she enters the chamber, the slugcat finds itself disappointed, scared, confused- this isn't what this place is supposed to look like (but how does she know what it is supposed to look like-?), this isn't how she left it (this is the first time she stands here, what are these thoughts). it's supposed to be brighter. warmer. why is the puppet's plating and skin damaged by time, where is it its vibrancy, why are its eyes so tired? there are panels missing from the walls ("it's got to be the results of that Fever i once made a proj- i can fix thi-! what?"), glowing artificial bronze robins fly about or sleeping on his shoulders, tiny Rot cysts pulsate from the cracks in the umbilical arm. where has the firebird in that halo gone off to?
Euros greets her joyfully ("oh what are you trying to play at, you goof. i've known you for so long, i can tell when something's wrong. what's hurting? why are you tired? i'll get you back into shape, doncha worry love.")
"Ah, you made it! Welcome to my chamber, adroit little thing."
"Please. Your journey was a long one. I hold no doubt a very dangerous one, too. I won't march you into the job immediately. Rest up."
Tinkerer thinks he's strange. but her legs are indeed hurting, the bag strapped to her is heavy. she curls up in the corner of the room and tries to get some shut eye. she almost falls asleep when Euros starts mumbling under his breath, shooting nervous glances towards the birds. five fingered hands tremble so badly the joints rattle like a child's toy. he's scary, when his shoulders hunch up like that and those tired eyes turn frantic. but it hurts so much to see him like that for some reason, more so than it is scary. so against the better judgement of a survivor, she softly coos at him
the puppet's head snaps to her, gaze cold. the mumbles increase in volume, allowing her to understand
"...I'll tell you what. I have another mission for you, little messenger. But it has to stay a secret between the two of us. Nobody would approve, especially not the one you belong to now."
something whispers that the puppet closing in is supposed to be a comfort. the larger part of the Tinkerer instead finds itself wishing to run away
"Are you aware of the Memory Crypts that lie beneath all of us City Bearers?"
cautious nod, back pressed against the wall
"Good."

Learn From the Best: How to Play eos 파워볼 5분 | Viejas Casino and Resort
Like the Don't Pass each player may only make one Don't Come bet per roll, this does not exclude a player from laying odds on an already established Don't Come points. Players may bet both the Don't Come and Come on the same roll if desired. The city uses automatic shuffling machines in every new deck with only eight-deck games. As a result, you miss the chances of getting edges through card counting. Shuffling should continue until the chance of a card remaining next to the one that was originally next to is small. In practice, many dealers do not shuffle for long enough to achieve this. Using a standard 52-card deck, the object is to rid oneself of all of one's cards. Cards can be played in certain combinations, including familiar poker combinations such as straights, flushes, and full-houses.
The player can fold or raise and then the best five-card poker hand possible for each player is used to determine the winner. Players are playing against the house and each player may take only one seat at the table. It is a rich and interesting heritage from which the English pattern emerges, and it owes much to the French for their ingenuity in design and style. here are no attendants, and so the progress of the game, fairness of the throws, and the way that the payouts are made for winning bets are self-policed by the players. The dealers will insist that the shooter roll with one hand and that the dice bounce off the far wall surrounding the table.
If the player requests the Come odds to be not working ("Off") and the shooter sevens-out or hits the Come bet point, the Come bet will be lost or doubled and the Come odds returned. There are different number series in roulette that have special names attached to them. By 2008, there were several hundred casinos worldwide offering roulette games. The double zero wheel is found in the U.S., Canada, South America, and the Caribbean, while the single zero wheel is predominant elsewhere. The 1780s-Throughout the 18th Century, French card makers had enjoyed export trade across Europe. The regions of Limoges, Bordeaux and Theirs exported to Spain, Lyons traded with Switzerland, and the Rouen pattern was circulating in as far apart as Sweden, Russia, Denmark, Flanders and England. By the 1780s, many of the regional patterns were fading away, and the Paris pattern rose to pre-eminence as the general pattern throughout France.
As well as the support options and their quality. Step up to the table and place a bet on the box marked Ante. At this time, you also may place a $1 Progressive bet on the marked space. If you happen to be dealt a flush, full house, four-of-a-kind, straight flush or royal flush and have placed a $1 Progressive bet, you will win additional money.Casino game machines have been introduced at racetracks to create racinos. In some states, casino-type game machines are also allowed in truck stops, bars, grocery stores, and other small businesses. The Saint Anne Glassworks (now Cristallerie de Baccarat) at 6-49 Rue des Cristalleries (1764-1954)It’s still all too easy to make mistakes in the casino if you don’t know what you’re doing, so it’s important that you make sure you fully understand a game before you start playing it.
Tumblr media
The house advantage (or “edge”) is the difference between the true odds (or the mathematical odds) and what a casino pays. These are bets that the number bet on will be rolled before a 7 is rolled. In Bank Craps, the dice are thrown over a wire or a string that is normally stretched a few inches from the table's surface.eos 파워볼 5분It looks like a small loss with the 6 to 5 game, but the losses are significantly experienced when you bet with a large amount.
Although the full-pay version has a theoretically-positive return, few play well enough to capitalize on it. Double Bonus is a complex game. Therefore, casino games take place in massive resorts as well as in small card rooms. Example: First ball is 22. All numbers beginning or ending with a 2 is considered a called number.Today video poker enjoys a prominent place on the gaming floors of many casinos. The game is especially popular with Las Vegas locals, who tend to patronize locals casinos off the Las Vegas Strip. These local casinos often offer lower denomination machines or better odds.
Five chips or multiples thereof are bet on four splits and a straight-up: one chip is placed straight-up on 1 and one chip on each of the splits: 6-9, 14-17, 17-20, and 31-34.When it got its way to other continents like the United States, many casinos promoted the game by giving an additional winning to any player who had a blackjack winning hand. Commercial gambling operators, however, usually make their profits by regularly occupying an advantaged position as the dealer, or they may charge money for the opportunity to play or subtract a proportion of money from the wagers on each play.Strip poker is a traditional poker variation where players remove clothing when they lose bets.
Fan-tan is no longer as popular as it once was, having been replaced by modern casino games like Baccarat, and other traditional Chinese games such as Mah Jong and Pai Gow. Fan-tan is still played at some Macau casinosBonus Poker is a video poker game based on Jacks or Better, but Bonus Poker offers a higher payout percentage for four of a kind. This terrifies casino operators, as it is difficult and expensive to recover from perceptions of a high-priced slot product. The Tower of Voués was the keep of the castle built in 1305 by Count Henry I to protect the serfs' houses. It measures 11.70 m in the North by 14.70 m in the East and its height is approximately 30 m. It was sold in 1332 by Henry III to Adhémar de Monteil (Bishop of Metz) who built a castle around which Baccarat would be built.

800 word statment
The topic behind my project is editorial portrait photography. I chose to do this topic as I wanted to test and try a new photographic approach and see how my work can become a project pitch. I wanted to see if my photographic skills can be applied onto printed matter like magazine editorial. My other passion is cosmetic artistry and I really wanted to showcase my artwork through photography along with a storytelling factor.
The aim of my project was to do an editorial approach, featuring portraits of a model subject. I really like doing outdoor photography, night photography, and documentaries. I am used to doing locations for my photos so I wanted to try doing portraits outside for that organic look. In the future my aim is to do contemporary photography for either fashion or beauty industries, because I am personally passionate within those realms.
The pitch behind my project is to photograph editorial portraits for a fashion and beauty editorial publisher. My destination for this project is to conceptually apply my photography in a magazine deliverable, or any editorial printed matter. One of my biggest dreams is to become an art director and to direct my own contemporary themes through photography for publishing. I would also love to work and travel to Europe and learn more about the creative industries there.
My target audience would be people from generation Z which is the generation I am in. Which is people around early 20s to 30s. If I wanted my work to be featured for publishing like fashion and beauty fields, my target audience could be aimed more towards people who are interested in the realm of beauty and fashion. People such as fashion and beauty bloggers, cosmetology fields, fashion designers, and other creatives that bend towards feminine influence.
My skills in photography would be outdoor photography and product photography. Tough editorial is where I grab inspiration and with this project I thought it would be an opportunity to try something new. I am also good at playing with artificial light in dark areas for playful dark photos. I am quite resourceful too and am able to find ways to achieve specific effects. I really like to plan out my photos because it is my own way of storytelling.
One of my inspirations is petra collins, i discovered her work online and really appreciated her feminist photography, she follows through the new feminist wave and showcases her contemporary ideas through editorial and commercial photography. Her photos are well thought out and featured many celebrity models. I like the fantasy and ethereal themes that make her works so engaging. It is also a form of self expression and storytelling which is what I would like to achieve in my own work.
I first planned out my photoshoot through a mood board and note taking to make clear of my objective. I also planned a specific day of time so that I do not get harsh lighting and can the light be in the right natural angle since I was using locations for my photography. I used my Canon EOS 100D camera. I had limited equipment and wanted to use what I was most comfortable with and I am pretty resourceful as well so I found my ways. What was important was my depth of field because I wanted my model subject to be in focus and to blur out the background. Since I was shooting in the evening the light was warm and laid nicely on my subject's highest points so it created dynamic and dramatic results. To enhance those features I used lightroom and photoshop to edit and refine the photos. I initially wanted to use artificial light for my location shooting but realised that the natural light was a lot already and if I wanted to use colour lights, it would not appear as much. Therefore I had to manipulate colour through photoshop. I learnt that I was too early and needed less natural light for artificial light to work.
What I learnt from this project is to experiment more with my resources, plan out better to find the best lighting. I should also consider experimenting with white balance as it affects my photos if I am doing outdoors and specific hours of the day. Maybe using a tripod would also be advisory for me if I wanted to take clear shark portraits to capture the fine details of my subject. I would also like to go more adventurous in my approach as I have wild ideas I would really like to try in the future. I should also use more props because there are effects that I would want to try out such as movement and over exposure. I really enjoy doing dynamic photography and I learnt that I need to experiment with physical props, lighting, and sharpening my camera skills.

Canon is looking to the future of VR with its dual fisheye lens.
Tumblr media
Canon fisheye lens VR has become huge recently and at IBC 2022, DIYP got to take a look at some of the latest developments in this cutting edge technology. It’s not just used for entertainment purposes. Fully immersive VR can have some serious uses, from the medical world to fighter pilot training. Basically, this technology can be used to speed up training and save lives. Ram Sarup from Canon Europe showed us the RF 5.2mm f/2.8 dual fisheye lens for the Canon EOS R mirrorless system. This lens lets you shoot 3D 180° VR video and photos. “Canon is actually the first company to have such a unique lens system,” says Ram. The lens is designed to work with the EOS R5 and the EOS R5c, which are both models that can shoot 8K video.

The lens itself looks a bit strange, but it all makes perfect sense! The lens actually captures a 190° angle, which then gets projected onto the sensor. “It’s an incredibly simple solution,” says Ram, “to be able to capture 180° VR.”
