After nearly 40 years of ERP evolution, one thing hasn’t changed: implementation success rates are still far too low. While picking the right ERP software matters, I’d argue that choosing the right SI partner has an even bigger impact on both go-live success and long-term value. Yet in most cases, SI evaluation still takes a backseat to software selection. Until that changes, organizations will keep struggling to realize the full potential of their ERP investment.

ERP Implementation Secrets: Avoid Costly Mistakes Now
Introduction
ERP implementation can be a make-or-break moment for your business. Get it right, and you’re streamlining operations like a pro. Get it wrong, and you’re stuck with a costly mess—think budget overruns, frustrated teams, and systems that don’t deliver. The secret? It’s all about dodging the pitfalls that trip up so many companies. In this guide, we’re spilling the ERP implementation secrets you need to avoid expensive mistakes and nail your rollout in 2025. Ready to save time, money, and headaches? Let’s uncover the tricks to a smooth ERP journey!
Secret #1: Don’t Skip the Planning Phase
Here’s a hard truth: rushing into ERP implementation without a plan is like building a house without a blueprint. It’ll collapse—fast. Too many businesses dive in headfirst, only to drown in delays and extra costs. The fix? Map out every step—set goals, define timelines, and allocate resources. For a Singapore SME, this might mean planning around GST compliance or peak sales seasons. A solid ERP implementation plan keeps you on track and cuts the risk of chaos down the line.
Secret #2: Pick the Right System for Your Needs
Choosing an ERP isn’t a one-size-fits-all deal. Grabbing the first shiny option—or the cheapest—can backfire big time. Imagine a retailer picking an ERP with weak inventory tools or a manufacturer missing production features. The secret here is research. Compare systems like Odoo, SAP, or NetSuite against your specific needs—scalability, industry fit, user-friendliness. A tailored ERP implementation saves you from costly retrofits later.
Secret #3: Clean Your Data Before You Move
Dirty data is an ERP implementation killer. Old records, duplicates, or messy formats turn your shiny new system into a glitchy nightmare. Before migration, scrub everything—think of it like spring cleaning for your business. A Singapore firm handling customer data can’t afford errors in a GST audit. Clean data ensures your ERP implementation starts strong, not stumbling over yesterday’s junk.
Secret #4: Train Your Team Like It’s Day One
An ERP is only as good as the people using it. Skimp on training, and you’re begging for resistance—or worse, mistakes that cost you. The secret? Invest in hands-on sessions tailored to roles—sales learns CRM, warehouse masters inventory. Start early, use real examples, and keep support flowing post-launch. A well-trained team turns your ERP implementation into a win, not a war.
Secret #5: Test Until You’re Sick of It
Launching an ERP without testing is like driving blindfolded—disaster’s waiting. Skipping this step risks bugs that halt operations. The secret to a flawless ERP implementation? Test everything—modules, workflows, user scenarios. A retailer might test POS sync; a service firm checks client tracking. Rigorous testing catches issues before they cost you time and money.
Secret #6: Budget for the Real World
Underestimating costs is a classic ERP implementation blunder. Licensing fees, customization, training—it adds up fast. The secret? Build a realistic budget that covers it all, not just the software sticker price. In Singapore, tap into grants like the EDG to offset up to 50% of costs. A smart budget keeps your ERP implementation from draining your bank account.
Secret #7: Get Everyone On Board
Silence kills ERP projects. If your team doesn’t know why the change is happening, they’ll fight it—or ignore it. The secret here is communication. Share the “why” and “how” early—think team meetings, emails, or quick chats. When everyone’s bought in, your ERP implementation rolls out smoother, with less pushback and more teamwork.
Secret #8: Partner with Pros Who Get It
Going it alone can sink your ERP implementation. A rookie mistake is picking a partner who doesn’t know your industry or system. The secret? Team up with experts—like Odoo’s Singapore partners—who’ve been there, done that. They’ll spot risks you won’t, saving you from costly detours. A pro partner is your shortcut to success.
Secret #9: Don’t Set It and Forget It
Think go-live is the end? Nope—it’s just the start. Ignoring post-launch tweaks can unravel your ERP implementation. The secret is monitoring—track KPIs like order speed or error rates, and listen to user gripes. Need a new report? Tweak it. A glitch? Fix it fast. Ongoing care keeps your system delivering, not decaying.
Secret #10: Learn from Others’ Fails
History’s littered with ERP flops—Nike lost $100M from a rushed rollout; Hershey’s botched Halloween orders. The secret? Study these disasters. Unrealistic timelines, poor testing, no training—they’re all avoidable. Use these lessons to bulletproof your ERP implementation and sidestep the million-dollar mistakes.
Conclusion
ERP implementation doesn’t have to be a gamble. With these secrets—planning smart, picking right, testing hard, and more—you can dodge the costly mistakes that sink others. Whether you’re a Singapore startup or a growing firm, a flawless ERP implementation is within reach in 2025. Ready to make it happen? Start today—your business can’t afford to wait!

How to Turn Your Erp Implementation from Failure to Success
The causes of ERP failure
Just 40% of ERP implementations, on average, are successful, according to some studies. What undermines an ERP project's success, and more significantly, how can you ensure your implementation will be one of the success stories?
https://www.datanote.in/blogs/30092023ERP-Implementation%20copy.webp
Tumblr media
Poor requirement analysis: One of the primary causes of ERP failure is inadequate requirement analysis. Many organizations rush into ERP implementation without a thorough understanding of their unique business needs. This can lead to the selection of an ERP system that doesn't align with the company's processes and objectives. To avoid this pitfall, it's essential to conduct a comprehensive analysis of your organization's requirements before choosing an ERP solution provider like DataNote ERP software.
Not ensuring compatibility: Compatibility issues can arise when organizations fail to consider how the chosen ERP system will integrate with their existing software and hardware infrastructure. This oversight can lead to data inconsistencies, system crashes, and operational disruptions. To prevent compatibility-related problems, carefully assess how ERP software fits into your current IT ecosystem and address any integration challenges proactively.
Poor vendor selection and relationship management: Selecting the right ERP vendor is crucial for the success of your implementation. Choosing a vendor with a poor track record or inadequate support can set your project up for failure. Ensure you thoroughly research and vet potential vendors, considering factors like their experience, customer reviews, and post-implementation support. A strong vendor relationship, as you'll experience with DataNote ERP software, can make a significant difference in your ERP project's success.
Lack of planning and resource management: ERP implementations require meticulous planning and resource management. Inadequate project planning, insufficient budget allocation, and a shortage of skilled resources can derail your ERP project. It's vital to create a detailed project plan, allocate resources appropriately, and consider factors like project timelines and milestones. With DataNote ERP software, you'll have access to a range of planning and resource management tools to ensure a smooth implementation Production Planning and Control process.
Not enough testing or validation: Testing and validation are critical phases in ERP implementation. Failing to conduct thorough testing can result in undiscovered issues and defects that may disrupt your business operations. Make sure to rigorously test ERP software in your organization's real-world scenarios to identify and resolve any issues before going live.
Rushing the implementation: Attempting to rush an ERP implementation to meet tight deadlines can lead to problems down the road. A rushed implementation may result in errors, incomplete configurations, and inadequate training for your staff. Take the time to plan and execute your ERP project carefully, ensuring that DataNote ERP software is fully customized and aligned with your business processes.
Insufficient training or support: Inadequate training and support for your staff can hinder ERP adoption. If your employees don't know how to use ERP software effectively, the system's potential benefits may remain untapped. Invest in comprehensive training programs and ongoing support to empower your workforce and maximize the value of your ERP implementation.

DataNote ERP software offers collaboration features that facilitate communication and coordination among your staff.
Know when to say when: Sometimes, it's essential to recognize when certain customizations or features aren't necessary. Overly complex configurations can lead to delays and complications during implementation. Embrace best practices and industry standards to streamline your ERP setup with DataNote ERP software.
Be negotiable: Flexibility is key to a successful ERP implementation. Be open to adjustments and changes as your project progresses. Adapt to evolving requirements, and don't hesitate to revisit your initial plans if needed. DataNote ERP software allows for customization to accommodate your changing business needs.
Never be afraid to ask for help: Implementing an ERP system like DataNote ERP software is a complex undertaking. Don't hesitate to seek assistance from experienced consultants or the vendor's support team. Their expertise can help you overcome challenges and ensure a smoother implementation process.

Some Tips for Dealing with OCD
Been going through a bit of a rough patch lately and was revisiting my notes from the International OCD Foundation's annual OCD Conference earlier this year. Wanted to share in case these tips might help other folks too.
Apologies for the chunky list!
Use self-care to stack the deck in your favor à la Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
Focus on the basics first (sleep, diet, water, etc).
Build a strong foundation so you can build on it without it falling over.
Focus on how you can handle the things that are 100% in your control to increase your resilience.
Set the bar low with goals. It’s only up from there and you have to start somewhere.
Don’t worry about whether or not something is your OCD. You’re not in the business of figuring that out. OCD rule of thumb, if there’s urgency attached to figuring it out, it’s probably your OCD.
It doesn’t matter what the content of your OCD thought is about, the response is the same. The same principles apply.
You’re building your muscles, maintain aspects of ERP and CBT so those muscles don’t atrophy. This helps prevent you from ending up in a more vulnerable/susceptible place to OCD.
Be aware of when your OCD is “getting loud.”
Know what you’re going to do if a lapse or relapse happens.
Medication is 20-30%, skills and tools are the rest.
You’re always learning what does and doesn’t work. Even if exposures don’t go the way you hope, it’s okay. It’s data. Gather experiences and data so you can learn from them. Your experiences expand you and help you grow and expand your resilience. You’re always learning what does and doesn’t work.
Think of “failure” as “failed experiments” for which you’re collecting data and can learn from.
Develop strong emotional regulation to keep yourself stable.
Keep an eye on where your life gives you opportunities for exposure and take advantage of those gimmes.
Micro avoidances add up, so work hard to handle even little ones. Recognize when you’re triggered by something and choose to do it anyway. Sometimes it’s OCD and sometimes it isn’t.
Even if what you fear happens, it doesn’t mean your OCD was correct. Your OCD is never correct.
Self-compassion is hard work. It’s not about being positive about everything but rather about being real/more realistic.
Reframe perfectionism as “I’m committing to x” and it doesn’t matter if it’s perfect or the best or whatever, just focus on that. For example, "I’m committing to exercising for 5 minutes,” and not thinking about if it’s perfect or not.
Remember when you’re having a tough time, think “I’m working on it.”
Think “yeah, and” rather than “yeah, but” because “yeah, but” often comes up when we’re negating positive things we did.
Even if you’re not certain something will give you a positive outcome, still do it. Even if it doesn’t do what you hoped, you still fought back. Give yourself the opportunity to see the outcome and with that comes flexibility. This can be as simple as making yourself a piece of toast.
Line out three small goals you want to complete each day. It can help to make the goals at night for the next day so you don’t have to deal with motivation in the morning. Use an index card on your bedside table. If the goals feel too big or intense, make them smaller or break them down further. This is behavioral activation.

How Self-ERP and CBT Can Help 🌟💙
Living with ADHD often comes with unique challenges, but for many, Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) is one of the hardest. If you feel deeply hurt, ashamed, or overwhelmed by perceived rejection or criticism—so much so that it can impact your relationships, self-esteem, and mental health—you’re not alone. The good news? Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can be powerful tools to help you manage RSD and build resilience.
💭 What is RSD?
RSD is an intense emotional reaction to real or perceived rejection, criticism, or failure. It’s not just "taking things personally"; it’s feeling:
Crushed by minor feedback or imagined disapproval.
Triggered into fight, flight, or freeze modes (e.g., defensiveness, withdrawal, or people-pleasing).
Overwhelmed with shame, sadness, or anger that feels disproportionate to the situation.
With ADHD, the brain’s emotional regulation system is already sensitive, which amplifies the impact of rejection or criticism.
✨ How ERP and CBT Help with RSD
1. ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention)
Goal: Gradually face situations where rejection or criticism feels likely, without engaging in avoidance or overreaction.
How it helps:
Reduces the immediate, overwhelming fear of rejection over time.
Builds emotional tolerance and resilience to criticism or feedback.
Breaks the cycle of avoiding challenging situations or overcompensating to gain approval.
2. CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)
Goal: Identify and change distorted thinking patterns that fuel the emotional intensity of RSD.
How it helps:
Challenges beliefs like “I’m not good enough” or “Everyone hates me.”
Encourages self-compassion and reframing rejection as a momentary event, not a reflection of your worth.
Teaches tools for managing emotional overwhelm and self-soothing in the moment.
🌟 How to Practice Self-ERP and CBT for RSD
Step 1: Recognize Your Triggers
What situations make you feel most vulnerable to rejection?
Examples: Getting feedback at work, disagreements with friends, or posting something on social media.
Write them down and rate the intensity of your fear for each one.
Step 2: Face Your Fears Gradually (ERP)
Start small with situations that feel less threatening.
Example: Share an idea in a meeting or express a boundary with a close friend.
Resist the urge to overexplain, apologize excessively, or withdraw entirely.
Allow yourself to feel the discomfort without reacting impulsively.
Step 3: Challenge Your Thoughts (CBT)
When rejection feels catastrophic, ask yourself:
“What evidence do I have that I’m being rejected?”
“What’s a kinder interpretation of this situation?”
“Even if rejection happens, how can I handle it constructively?”
Replace negative self-talk with affirmations: “Rejection doesn’t define me. I am still worthy and valuable.”
Step 4: Practice Emotional Regulation
Use grounding techniques (e.g., deep breathing, mindfulness) to calm your nervous system during triggering moments.
Journaling can help you process feelings of rejection in a healthier way.
Step 5: Build a Rejection “Safety Net”
Surround yourself with supportive people who value you unconditionally.
Remind yourself that criticism or rejection often says more about the other person’s perspective than your worth.
💡 Healing Takes Time
RSD may never disappear entirely, but with practice, it can lose its grip. By using ERP to face rejection fears and CBT to challenge self-defeating thoughts, you can reduce the intensity of RSD episodes and learn to navigate life’s ups and downs with greater confidence and grace.
You are not your rejections. You are so much more—creative, capable, and resilient. 🌱
Highly Recommend this Workbook for Overcoming RSD-ADHD 🚀

Graph Analytics Edge Computing: Supply Chain IoT Integration
Graph Analytics Edge Computing: Supply Chain IoT Integration
By a veteran graph analytics practitioner with decades of experience navigating enterprise implementations
Tumblr media
youtube
Introduction
Graph analytics has emerged as a transformative technology for enterprises, especially in complex domains like supply chain management where relationships and dependencies abound. However, the journey from concept to production-grade enterprise graph analytics can be fraught with challenges.
In this article, we'll dissect common enterprise graph analytics failures and enterprise graph implementation mistakes, evaluate supply chain optimization through graph databases, explore strategies for petabyte-scale graph analytics, and demystify ROI calculations for graph analytics investments. Along the way, we’ll draw comparisons between leading platforms such as IBM graph analytics vs Neo4j and Amazon Neptune vs IBM graph, illuminating performance nuances and cost considerations at scale.
Tumblr media
Why Do Enterprise Graph Analytics Projects Fail?
The graph database project failure rate is surprisingly high despite the hype. Understanding why graph analytics projects fail is critical to avoid repeating the same mistakes:
Poor graph schema design and modeling mistakes: Many teams jump into implementation without a well-thought-out enterprise graph schema design. Improper schema leads to inefficient queries and maintenance nightmares. Underestimating data volume and complexity: Petabyte scale datasets introduce unique challenges in graph traversal performance optimization and query tuning. Inadequate query performance optimization: Slow graph database queries can cripple user adoption and ROI. Choosing the wrong platform: Mismatched technology selection, such as ignoring key differences in IBM graph database performance vs Neo4j, or between Amazon Neptune vs IBM graph, can lead to scalability and cost overruns. Insufficient integration with existing enterprise systems: Graph analytics must seamlessly integrate with IoT edge computing, ERP, and supply chain platforms. Lack of clear business value definition: Without explicit enterprise graph analytics ROI goals, projects become academic exercises rather than profitable initiatives.
These common pitfalls highlight the importance of thorough planning, vendor evaluation, and realistic benchmarking before embarking on large-scale graph analytics projects.

What Are the Key Factors to Consider When Choosing a Payment Solution Provider?
Tumblr media
The rapid growth of digital transactions has made choosing the right payment solution provider a crucial decision for businesses. Whether you operate an e-commerce store, a subscription-based service, or a financial institution, selecting the right provider ensures secure and efficient payment processing. With the increasing demand for fintech payment solutions, businesses must evaluate providers based on security, compatibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
1. Security and Compliance
Security is the top priority when selecting a payment solution provider. Since financial transactions involve sensitive customer data, businesses must ensure that their provider follows strict security protocols. Look for providers that comply with PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and offer encryption, tokenization, and fraud prevention measures.
A reputable provider should also offer real-time fraud detection and risk management tools to safeguard transactions. Compliance with regional regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, or PSD2 is also crucial for businesses operating in multiple locations.
2. Integration and Compatibility
Seamless Payment gateway integration is essential for a smooth transaction experience. Businesses should assess whether the provider’s APIs and SDKs are compatible with their existing platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and POS systems. A well-documented API enables easy customization and enhances the overall customer experience.
Additionally, businesses should consider whether the provider supports multiple payment methods such as credit cards, digital wallets, cryptocurrencies, and bank transfers. The ability to integrate with accounting, CRM, and ERP software is also beneficial for streamlining financial operations.
3. Cost and Pricing Structure
Understanding the pricing structure of payment solution providers is crucial for managing operational costs. Different providers offer various pricing models, including:
Flat-rate pricing – A fixed percentage per transaction
Interchange-plus pricing – A combination of network fees and provider markup
Subscription-based pricing – A fixed monthly fee with lower transaction costs
Businesses should evaluate setup fees, transaction fees, chargeback fees, and any hidden costs that may impact profitability. Opting for a transparent pricing model ensures cost-effectiveness in the long run.
4. Scalability and Performance
As businesses grow, their payment processing needs will evolve. Choosing a provider that offers scalable fintech payment solutions ensures seamless expansion into new markets and accommodates higher transaction volumes without downtime or slow processing speeds.
Look for providers with a robust infrastructure that supports high uptime, fast transaction processing, and minimal payment failures. Cloud-based payment solutions often offer better scalability and reliability for growing businesses.
5. Customer Support and Service Reliability
Reliable customer support is essential when dealing with financial transactions. Payment-related issues can result in revenue loss and customer dissatisfaction. Businesses should opt for providers that offer 24/7 customer support via multiple channels such as phone, email, and live chat.
Additionally, a provider with dedicated account management services can offer personalized solutions and proactive issue resolution, ensuring minimal disruptions to business operations.
6. Multi-Currency and Global Payment Support
For businesses targeting international markets, multi-currency support is a key consideration. The ability to accept payments in different currencies and offer localized payment methods enhances customer satisfaction and expands the business’s global reach.
Providers that support cross-border transactions with competitive exchange rates and minimal conversion fees are ideal for businesses operating in multiple countries.
7. Fintech Payment System Compatibility
A modern fintech payment system should be adaptable to emerging financial technologies. Businesses should evaluate whether the provider supports innovations like blockchain payments, real-time payment processing, and artificial intelligence-driven fraud prevention.
The ability to integrate with open banking solutions and provide seamless transaction experiences across various fintech ecosystems is becoming increasingly important in the digital payment landscape.
8. Reputation and Industry Experience
The credibility of a payment solution provider is another critical factor. Researching customer reviews, case studies, and testimonials can provide insights into the provider’s reliability and performance.
Established providers with years of experience and partnerships with reputable financial institutions are more likely to offer stable and secure payment processing services. Collaborations with fintech leaders, such as Xettle Technologies, demonstrate a provider’s commitment to innovation and excellence in payment solutions.
Conclusion
Choosing the right payment solution provider requires careful consideration of security, integration, pricing, scalability, customer support, and industry experience. Businesses must align their choice with long-term growth objectives and ensure that the provider offers secure, seamless, and cost-effective fintech payment solutions.
With the rise of digital transactions, businesses that invest in a robust fintech payment system with seamless payment gateway integration will gain a competitive edge and enhance customer trust. By partnering with reputable payment solution providers, businesses can ensure secure and efficient transaction experiences for their customers while maximizing operational efficiency.

you said it was terrifying and now youre saying its hot ?
Letting down people who have put their trust in me and then fucking everything up irrecoverably by not being able to deal with my own freak out about it causing me to self isolate, catastrophise, and make them suffer from my cycle of anxiety and lethargy is something I am extremely paranoid about. It’s terrifying that she never agreed to this, not fully, it’s terrifying that she would hate me or even worse, she could pity me and forgive everything. It’s terrifying that despite me wanting her back it has been so much easier to have that broken doll staring out at me than to find someone who can help and admit my failings and shortcomings, that some mix of pride turned panic turned intentional avoidance outweighed not just my will but hers. It’s terrifying that I could do this to someone who trusts me, if not literally than something similar.
However a girl who is a broken doll in various states of disrepair is something undeniably hot. Long nights elbow deep in her not for pleasure but as worship and prayer that I may pull her back together, that I might do good by her and give her a form as perfect as she deserves, that I might understand enough, try hard enough, work hard enough, that she feels more whole and complete than before. That every part of her might be full of not just her but a love and devotion I work into it, no matter the cost, no matter how long it takes, that she might be able to feel her new body and tell me I did well, and tell me I did good work, and tell me she carries my soul in the way her rivets are secure but not as tight as possible, her wires diligently managed and sorted so she can move without them stretching or pinching, the electricity that flows through her hums and lets her feel brighter and lighter. And anything, absolutely anything would be worth it to see her smile at me, to know I gave her a body she deserves to love, to know that I followed her designs and that I filled in the gaps with what she deserves, with everything I can give her.
Maybe it’s something to do with trust, maybe it’s something to do with trusting myself, maybe it’s to do with the pressure of failure, maybe it’s just a mentally ill cognitive dissonance coming from my hyperempathy and tendency to overanalyze literally everything having a kaiju battle in my brain. Idk it’s definitely both. Something can be hot and distressing. I’m a sadist but I’m a transfem paranoid sapphic with communication issues who is incredibly concerned with the needs and feelings of the people who I care about. I’ll erp about putting you down like a dog but I get physically sick over how non responsive I’m being and how that could be emotionally effecting people. I can have a hard time understanding boundaries and expectations that aren’t clearly stated and you can betray someone’s trust accidentally if you don’t have a clear understanding of those, I care a lot about that trust and I’m also a paranoid freak so betraying that trust like that is one of my biggest fears.

Ahem Ahem. Welcome everyone to yet another cowede peptalk about themselves cos... lets face it i have an issue. (part 1)
LET THIS BE CLEAR THAT THIS BLOG ALSO SERVE TO ME AS A GODAMN PRIVATE JOURNAL THAT ISNT PRIVATE BECAUSE I HAVE A VALIDATION AND SELF CONFIDANCE ISSUE. are we good ? 99% of the people who could read this already skipped ? fine. lets start on a good news! @makoto-naegi-stud-and-friends (who has a dumb discord name NO I WILL NEVER STOP SAYING IT (unless you like, tell me that you dont like this running gag, and if so i'll stop imediately bud)) and @plaindangan (da plain! they are so cool) but i just got out FINNALY of a very toxic relation on the cowede side of my life! that had been going on for what... 3 years now ? basically that person is russian (the cliches are stable) and has psychological issue (probably dementia, but like, i don't have dementia and i forget stuff constantly and before i begin sounding like an horrible person i swear that russian had dementia precisely when they needed too seemingly, just now i remembered i must kobeni @plaindangan will get it) and the thing is... they asked for a LOT and I mean a LOT, and when they actually put some godamn effort they were great, and of course at first in our relation they did put ton of effort, were proactive in ideas and tried different super cool stuff, like actually talking in code when playing a robot character, they also gave me lots of cool ideas and experimentations about erp that i very much enjoyed and brought to other places with... mostly failure than success ? but hey. So whats the issue ? picture this. you start a rp, and you have to play 8 different character in one action. then in the very next action you must make, you must replay them all but instantly corrupted and now cucking their boyfriends and slobering other that person cock. At some point they ask you to add 4 more character because "its not enough". do you get a please ? a thank you ? nope. ah maybe a matching response in term of words and quality ? nope. the person (lets call them X from now on, should have do it earlier but the problem is I write like i talk and i talk like a very very bad comedian) will start talking in the first person, completely not only forget but factually they dont care about what the rp is about, setting, characters, even the characters the other play, its just them and the others, but also the answers are super short, almost on the level of a "i fuck them, continue" . Oh at the very least you can say theyll get bored of it once they have it and we can move on to something else, maybe be back to creative teasefull stuff since they are actually great at this writing wise. NOPE, theyll freeze the rp for weeks, if you try to ask them if we could continue they say "i dont feel like it" and whenever too much time pass surprisingly its your fault now. so you do what ? you create another rp start with X, hoping this time maybe we'll get each other better. it shouldnt be too much of a problem for me ? those who know me conscerning rp know that I kinda have... an obsession with beginings ? like i actively want to do long term, but after some time my brain freeze and i dont know what to write anymore.. and of course my stupid brain get other ideas about other characters, that i pitch to my partner (once again @plaindangan and especially @makoto-naegi-stud-and-friends the goats suffered from this) and we end up starting this other pitch. (part 1 over)

Note
Poppy's main argument now seems to be "I'm mentally ill, you were my FP, I can't possible make an informed decision" which is... already problematic, implying that people with BPD straight up cannot properly consent, especially with FPs but if that's the case Poppy wants to go with... then maybe Poppy shouldn't date FPs? Maybe Poppy should stick with just Saige and ZZ? If you cannot consent because "bpd" maybe stop seeking out sexual relationships and ERP since you "cannot consent"? How does Poppy think this is a reasonable argument. NF didn't ask to become an FP.
Poppy is a licensed therapist and yet refuses to understand how her own actions impact the failure of her relationships. Multiple poly partners have since broken up with her. She is always the common denominator.

Ugh, coming to terms with the realization that my perfectionism is rooted in my OCD has not been fun, lol. It's good to know, but very much not fun. The panels I attended this past weekend at the conference were a great reminder about it too.
My OCD is just determined that if I figure out the best/right/most optimal way to do everything then I'll finally achieve peak executive functioning and life will be wonderful!
Why, yes I did also get a late ADHD diagnosis, why do you ask? •ᴗ•
Like I caught myself in an OCD perfectionism spiral today. Just a constant loop of "I need to do the dishes, I need to shower, I need to practice piano, I need to work, I need to finish my laundry, I need to take out the trash, etc." And then my brain proceeds to just jump through hoops trying to figure out the best way to do these things.
Because if I do the dishes or take out the trash, I'm probably going to want to wait to shower until after. But I also need to shower and I desperately want to. But then I just end up sitting there silently screaming in my head instead for longer than it would take to do any of that. It doesn't matter what order I do these things in. I need to just pick one and do it. But what if I don't pick the right one based on my current energy level/available time/etc?
I just get stuck ruminating on what I should be doing until I mentally wear myself out and do nothing. And then I feel awful for doing nothing and the things I need to do pile up even more. And it just creates this negative feedback loop where I'm just constantly thinking about all the things I need to do and then not doing them and becoming increasingly distressed about not doing them.
Even just basic stuff like "oh, I want to comment on all the fics I've read lately" because an exercise in "how long will that take, what constitutes as a good comment to leave, why didn't you just comment after you read them" etc. So then I don't. And then I feel awful because I know how much I enjoy getting comments.
Or even just "I want to read a book" spins into "But what book? You have so many books. Why did you buy so many books? You wasted so much money. You'll never read them all. What if you pick the wrong book to read and you don't like it? What if you bought a book you don't actually like? Why couldn't you just go to the library instead of wasting all this money? That's what libraries are for!" And so I just don't read anything! (╯°□°)╯Meanwhile I could've probably read all of them with how much time I've spent agonizing over the fact I want to read but haven't...
It is so dumb. And I know it's dumb. And it's better to do something than to do nothing. But try telling my OCD that lol. Ugh. The good news though is that this is specifically what I'm going to be working with my therapist on in our upcoming sessions. ERP to help myself get out of these perfectionism spirals I get caught in literally every day. Which feels like a wildly silly thing to need to do ERP for. But unfortunately OCD doesn't care about what's logical. It just knows I have an extreme fear of failure in all things and it loves sowing discord on that front.
Lol, also got brutally murdered by this slide this weekend:
