#doctor who #dwedit #adelaide brook #tenth doctor #tvedit #timelordgifs #rtdedit #userbbelcher #scifigifs #tvarchive #fyeahtv #dailydw #tenedit #david tennant #my memory did not do this scene justice; THE ACTING #the contempt dripping off his face; the disgust on hers; absolutely amazing scene #also i'm abt to start tag rambling so you've been warned; proceed at your own risk #reminds me of when river called him a psychopath and warned him not to travel alone #and there's a small parallel between this scene and the library; when 10 brings river “back to life” he says “Oh I'm very good”#he echoes himself here: “Oh I'm good”#and the reason that parallel sticks out to me is bc both are times the doctor has managed to cheat death; and he's praising his own power #here he is playing god; forcing people to stay alive; not caring or asking if it makes them miserable #he's not good; he's cruel; adelaide chose to die and protect the future #river chose to sacrifice herself; clara chose to face the raven; ashildr chose to die for her village #donna chose to keep her memories #and the doctor forced them to stay alive so he wouldn't have to feel pain #honestly 10 and 12 have some strong parallels and some of them are blatant like 12 remembering 10 right before he resurrects ashildr #and 12 also quoted 10 in that scene saying “I can do anything”#which is what 10 said when he tried to bring astrid back from the dead in Voyage of the Damned #no wonder river didn't trust 12 to be left alone; and ordered nardole to follow him after he left darillium

#jhariah #this one just rawrrfrrr #and then uh another line thats like ‘tell me did you raise a man?’#nice #im just listening to the new album to cope with nasty sickness and feeling out of it #god this album is really good it has every emotion in there like this song for example just the part where they scream the chorus its like #hnnnghhh #hm some other moments from the album im liking a lot uhhh i love re: concerns a lot #the part where hes like reading off the complaints and then the part where hes just screaming and its like BAM BAM BAM BAAAM #sasuke is so good and the bit at the end where its like ‘i just want you to know im so so...’#like hes gonna say sorry but cant seem to say the word for whatever reason and i know nothing about sasuke #but i has to imagine the fan girlies are eating gravel over that one lol it gets me #and theres just that like spooky echoing afterwards #the intro to fire4fun goes SOOOOOOOO hard i was losing my shit its awesome #the entirety of trust ceremony is giving me big feelings but specifically that part towards the end where its all quiet and you hear #its like whistling i think? like a marching band is coming in maybe #but it also kinda sounds like nature too and idk i like got a little bit um magical at that part cuz i was driving down a big hill #and it had been raining but there was a clearing in the clouds and the sun was bright and like at this particular hill #you can just see everything like the land stretches for miles theres trees hills the river farms all that shit #and idk with the extreme stress and depression ive been feeling its hard to have these moments where life seems worth it #and its hard to really feel anything anymore or to feel in the moment but idk i was just going down that hill seeing everything and it was #very majestic so yeah that song is definitely gonna have the same effect as pin eye for me #which i must mention pin eye again its still OOOOGHH very good it came at a pretty good time for me #yeah basically this album is uhhhh whats keeping me somewhat grounded rn i recommend 👍

do you think that what the doctor usually feels for companions, rather than romantic or sexual attraction, might just be idolisation?

#just thinknig abt how 13 calls river 'on eof the best people ive ever known'#which might just be her echoing yazs words bc that seems to be the only way she knows how to communicate #but it's also like the most open i can think of the doctor ever being wrt how they feel abt river #and thinking of 10 in the satan pit going i dont believe in god i believe in rose instead #and how much of an influence rose had on the doctor #maybe its less the companion does a doctor arc and more the doctor and the companion will inevitably grow toward each other #clara and the doctor matched in specific ways that just like maybe amplified them #they didnt like balance out they become More Them #did everything the way the other wouldve done who wouldve done it the way they wouldve done #feedback loop #13 mightve worried for the same with yaz honestly #they wouldve become something very different to 12 and clara i think but no less powerful #terrifying in different ways #maybe less 'i'll kill the world to get you back' and more 'i'll kill myself to get you back'#more inward-focused in that part of it while more outward focused in the like adventure parts #Helping People rather than 12claras adrenaline junkie adventure seeking #not that thasmin arent also adrenaline junkie adventure seeking and 12clara dont want to help #just like a slightly shifted focus #i think thasmin want to feel....important. useful. helpful. more than 12clara. i think 12clara are just looking for a good time in each oth #rs company more #but idk #anyway do you think the doctor idolised yaz back as much as yaz idolised her?#DO you think yaz idolised her?#i have a really hard time getting int he doctors head abt companions. like how they feel abt them Really #but like. idolisation would be a really fun one to add into 13s head i think #what if she wants to impress yaz just as much as yaz wants to impress her oh my god #('tell me youre impressed')

have i mentioned how much i love nightingale's canonically shitty handwriting? because i do. and until or unless i am contradicted i am going to choose to believe it's because he's a natural leftie who was forced into writing with his right hand because that Was Not Allowed back then (to put some horrific practices into very mild terms...) because honestly it's in keeping with the endless trauma parade of his life and that's how i show my love for a character apparently
