no but the way the umbrella accademy handled eliott page’s coming out is still incredible to me and i hope it’s a sign of a larger and better shift for trans people in acting. its not just letting a trans person play a trans character but actively changing the character to fit the person and make them comfortable. i remember watching him come out to his brothers- luther specifically- and crying with my friends for a myriad of reasons, but mostly because this is the casual trans rep we need. one thats guided by the trans person in question and important to the story but not the big end all be all of the character or story.
