Zajok a nappaliból – Traxelektor 2024. 05.

Egy pók beköltözött tegnap a munkahelyemen, a piszoár felső részébe. Minden alkalommal, amikor megjelentem, düllesztett pókmellkassal ereszkedett le kinyilvánítani, hogy ez már az ő terciája, majd mikor meglátott, sebesen visszamászott. Ezt négyszer ismételte el az elnyúló munkanapom alatt. Tanulság nincs. Bár ismerős valahonnan.

Dark. Analogue. Techno. Ez a mottója a Fake Youth Cult név alatt debutlemezével korbácsoló, kezdeti Broken English Clubot idéző, csapzott hajú anonimnak. A White Light / Black Noise végig true, egyenes mint a nyers való, és akkor is érdekes marad, amikor majdnem kilenc percben bomlik ki a Pulsar című track folyamán. Biztos, hogy hallunk még róla.

A Versatile Records különleges alakulata, Gilb’R aka Gilbert Cohen és I:Cube aka Nicolas Chaix kettőse, a Château Flight. Idén a French Touch Associaton visszavonultatta a mezszámaikat, s az utóbbi húsz évben már csak EP/kislemezek bójáinak elszórásával jelezték aktivitásukat, mégis ez így teljesen rendben van, hiszen azok érdekesek, változatosak maradtak, Nicolas még a pszeudóit is bevetette. A vadonatúj kilenc gyöngyszemből felfűzött La Folie Studio album remekmű, oktatási anyag, emlékeztető, összefoglalás mindarról, ami a French Touch 1997 óta. A hangtalan siklás és lekerekített élek titkos szövetsége, a Plastique à Effet Naturel két tekfunk senecal-ja változatos témákkal és tempókkal bűvöl el. A két évnyi stúdiómunkájuk eredménye lassú toxinként szivárog be füleden át a testedbe, a Fordizm deep house csúszás ellazít, a Clair de Lune à Mykonos etnodubja housefelhőkkel kemtrél, a címadó La Folie Studio kocsonyás rubikja a diszkokubizmus oltárán vibrálva suttog, a Satanic Musette abszintillatú dark elektro útvesztő, minotaurusza rebegi a folytatást az Esika Molimo Ezali lezárásban. S amikor hazaértél, túl az élményen, egyszer csak hallod, hogy a szekrényből dörömbölnek Patterson és Fehlmann masírozó reklámmikulásai és azt kiabálják erős akcentussal, hogy „Elastigum, Elastigum, Digital Only Bonus Track”.

Al Woottont már-már rezidensként üdvözölhetjük ezen oldalakon. „Alakváltó Al” ezúttal szólóban, társak nélkül, a különleges hangzású kiadványokat előszeretettel forgalmazó londoni Berceuse Heroique-nél jelentette meg Lifted From The Earth albumát / kazettáját. Alkalmilag szakít a táncos törzsi technoval – bár különféle fúzióit (Holy Tongue) eddig is arra használta, hogy ismeretlen ösvényeket keresgéljen – ezúttal mélyebbre meríti hálóját, megfoghatatlan hangulatokat keresve, árnyas, korai techno, dub-house és etno-ambient, fourth world alkotórészeket olvaszt jazz-fúzióba.

A szintén az igényes, kurrens sorozatok gazdájaként ismert amszterdami Music From Memory, a Contours hét tételből álló, kortárs-fúziós szekvenciáját nyújtja át nekünk, Elevation címmel. A Contours név mögött Tom Burfordot tisztelhetjük Manchesterből. Burford kedveli a nyugat-afrikai balafon nevű hangszert (a vibrafon, marimba rokona), emellett egy Moog Grandmother, Nord Lead 2, Waldorf Micro G, TR8S dobgép, valamint Polymoon, Zen Delay, Gamelan effektek, kamballa (beszélő dob) és más afrikai hangszerek (udu), szabad téri felvételek (Field Recordings) és tételenként, vendégművészektől függően cselló, hegedű, trombita, kucseng (kínai citera), clársach (kelta hárfa) hozza létre a teljes hangzást, a kortárs / fourth world fúziót. A „fourth world” kifejezés másodszor bukkan fel, talán magyarázatra szorul. Brian Eno és John Hassel 1980-ban jelentette meg Fourth World, Vol. 1: Possible Musics című ambient/drone/ethno elemekből szőtt úttörő albumát. Ennek kapcsán hangzott el Hassel esztétikai állásfoglalása, mely annyira frappánsnak bizonyult, hogy a kritikusok zenei stílusként használják napjainkban: egységes, primitív/futurisztikus hangzás, amely ötvözi a világ etnikai stílusainak jellemzőit a fejlett elektronikus technikákkal – ilyen egy tökéletes definíció!

A Not Waving név alatt érkező felvételek mindig bírnak valami erőteljes érzelmi töltettel. Borongásaiért cserébe címkézik is dark electronic tag-gel. Alessio Natalizia évtizedes pályafutása alatt karakteres szerzőiségéről lett ismert, az utóbbi időkben pedig kedveli a kollaborációt (Silvia Fendi, Dark Mark, Romance). A korábbi Romance-szel közös anyagok után sejthető volt, hogy a hazai pályának számító Ecstatic-nél megjelenő Infinite Light albumon ambientet kapunk, amiről könnyen lemarad az ember, ha belegabalyodik némelyik címbe. Ez a Let The One Love … című, nos, abban a négy percben kicsit visszamentünk a hőskorszakba és igazi, klasszikus ősambient-et hallhatunk.

Csoportos angyaltrombita-tea mérgezés a külvárosi jazz klubban. A Chris Hontos elméje körül lebegő zöldessárga not great, not terrible, a Nuke Watch elszabadult, mint az elektron, ki letépte láncát. Felix Kubin némely megvadult laborórája tud ennyire megterhelő lenni, csak ő több konyhai eszközzel dolgozik. Nem akarok túlozni, mert vannak olyan szakaszok, ahol bár süpped a szőnyeg, élvezhető a műsor, a Pepper's Ghost olyan pszichedelikus electro-free-jazz, ami haladóknak való.

A másik egy EP, de az se marad alul: The Sad Life of An Instagram DJ. Tudjuk, hogy Danny Wolfers humora napfényen érlelt csípős irón, itt durvább dolgok is történnek, dalra fakad! (tudom, ilyen is minthavótmá) Az Always Take it There-nek meg ritmikailag azonos az alapja M. Jackson - Smooth Criminal-jével, és közben azt énekli, hogy I Ride My Horse. Műfajilag az LP egyértelműen electro, az EP viszont inkább acid-techno. Az, hogy az előbbi műfajból épít Danny albumot, egyértelműen az ő tehetségét, tudását dicséri, nem sűrűn láttok a hónap lemezei között electro-kat, főleg ennyire tisztán azt. A varázslat alapja, hogy vaskos, nehéz, analóg öntöttvasakból karmolódnak ki ezek az electrok, ettől működik ennyire. Az album Ron Moretti kiadójánál a L.I.E.S.-nál (Long Island Electrical Systems) látott szürkés napvilágot Brooklynban.

Elsőre nem tetszett az új Phase Fatale. Aztán ahogy pörgött randomban és krosszfédben, egyre jobban megérett, és elkezdett működni Hayden Payne ebm/dark-electro-techno-ja. A vége az lett, hogy a Love Is Destructive EP négy felvételéből mind a Traxelektorban kötött ki, amely rekordot döntött májusban, ugyanis kerek 100 db felvételből áll.

A New Yorkban élő iráni, Sepehr Alimagham keleti fűszerek illataival és aromáival bolondított technoja, egyfajta védjegye a fiatalembernek. Az amszterdami Dekmantel gondozásában érkező ötszámos Genesis Domain EP ennek a történetnek egyfajta tetőpontja. Talán az egyik legkifinomultabb technot jó ideje Sepehr-től kapjuk. Szinte ez nem is techno, vagy ha az, akkor annál jóval több. Transzcendens tereiben, összetett mozgásokkal egyensúlyoz, meseszerű történetekbe vezet minket, mindenképp az egyik legmegragadóbb fúzió korunk elektronikájában.

Ez a Multiples fedőnév annyira bármi lehet, akár kortárs előadónak is beleférne. Az asszociációs játékot már az első, great album cover néven kommentelő megnyerte ezzel:

A Multiples név Anthony Child és Jochem Paap urak kétnapos elborult kísérleti stúdió jammin’-je a rotterdami STOOR studiójában, ahol a midi jelen kívül semmi szabály nem volt. Az angol Mr. Child-ot Surgeon, a holland Herr Paap-ot Speedy J. néven ismeri a világ, három évtizedes pályafutásuk igazolja, egyikük se puha gyerek, Surgeon az egyenesebb, Speedy a törtebb IDM apostola, és itt most ezek is reakcióban vannak. A kíváncsiság, a felszabadult játék és a bármiféle megfelelés-nélküliség üzemanyaga hajtotta a Two Hours or Something album járművét. Ez is egy nagyon megérős zenei anyag, ez alatt a pár hét alatt is finomodott a fülemben minden újrahallgatás alatt – ezt csak azoknak írom, akik nem szokták az ennyire nyers, erős elektronikát.
