So, I translated a new song. This time it's by a Colombian singer, Esteman. His stage name is a combination of his first and last name, Esteban Mateus, and at the same time is a word play, since “este man” just means “this man”. Now, this song needs a little bit of context. It was specifically written and performed to be the opening theme for the Spanish-Colombian silent cartoon series Mr. Trance, I used to watch it every time it aired on Cartoon Network when I was a kid, so it makes me very nostalgic.
There's a few reasons why I chose to translate this song today. First, I'm just a couple of hours away from becoming an adult, I'm turning 18 and I suppose nostalgia has been haunting me for a few weeks now. Second, since it's pride month, I found this song really fitting since Esteman is an openly gay artist, he's also married with the Mexican actor Jorge Caballero. Also, there's this little headcanon that me and a few other people share about Mr. and Mrs. Trance being- well- a trans couple; making a funny pun with their names. And third, the main reason why I decided to translate this song is because of how underwhelming the official English version of the opening is... Like- it sounds like they recorded it right after Esteman had woke up from a nap. The lyrics are barely audible, and... it just sounds wrong. Hear it for yourselves.

Besides, they didn't dubbed the extended version of the song.
So here it is, this amazing song that brings me so many happy memories, with English subtitles so you all can enjoy it as much as I do.
Also, just as a side note, I'm sure you already noticed that Mr. Trance is pretty much built like a Vivziepop character/Tumblr Sexyman and yeah, I've seen some people call him the Colombian Alastor. Except he's actually a really nice person, your regular cool guy.
