I think a suggestion I would make for anyone playing Everspace 1 is to bump the difficulty down to easy (yes, yes, I'm terrible at video games) because, unlike Hades where the story unlocks as you play more of the game, whether you reach later areas or not, the story only progresses as you get further into the sectors and, from Steam's own mouth, less than 17% of players made it as far as Sector 5, where it feels like the story is just getting going. Not everyone plays games for their stories, but repetitive space combat is not really the kind of compelling gameplay that people like to play endlessly. And new enemies and new dangers get introduced in Sectors 4 and 5, meaning most players just grinded away at the basic levels until they got bored and stopped without seeing what the game had to offer. Which is why it's worth putting the difficulty down and getting further in the game. Or at least putting the difficulty down to breeze through the parts of the game that you're going to be repeating the most.

Уже который день состояние, словно брожу в тумане, как тот самый ёжик. Хочется написать сюда что-то умное, какой-нибудь очередной длиннопост о жизни и творчестве. Но, увы, никакой белой лошади в тумане нет. Есть только вечная, густая пустота и внутренние страхи. Поэтому просто поделюсь тем, что у меня сейчас в жизни проис��одит.

В общем-то главное — это то, что я начал учиться рисовать в цифре и даже записался на курсы по рисованию. Потому что самому по роликам на ютубе ничего не получается, а блогеры часто противоречат друг другу в своих советах. Пока жду набора на новый поток, рисую разных тоторо, больших и малых. Покажу, когда доделаю)) А пока вот вам Фрейя.

Приехал ко мне долгожданная книга о Близардах. Многие хейтят Шрайера за то, что он утверждается за счет чужих страданий. Но такая уж она - журналистика. Мне нравится как он рассказывает свои истории. После прочтения книг�� "Кровь, пот и пиксели" многое прояснилось и стало понятно, почему мы получили игры такого качества (или не получили вовсе). Поэтому о Близардах мне очень интересно почитать, я помню их величие, когда мы детьми и подростками боготворили эту студию. А сейчас едва ли её можно назвать хорошей, не говоря уже об эпитете "Великая".

Но доберусь я до книги не сразу, пока читаю художку. Давно хотел познакомиться с мастером новой драмы — Г. Ибсеном. Меня интересует в первую очередь "Кукольный дом", но в книги три произведения, а я не люблю читать книги избирательно.

"Пер Гюнт" — это ещё не новая драма, а жирный оммаж в сторону средневековой драматургии. Главный герой здесь тупой, но крайне самоуверенный молодой человек, который даже королю троллей может заговорить зубы. Мы наблюдаем за тем, как Пер Гюнт плывет по течению, ввязываясь то в одну авантюру, то в другую. И при этом совершенно не отдавая отчет своим действиям, он рушит чужие судьбы. С одной стороны — это веселая несерьезная вещь, а с другой довольно грустная. Я пока ещё не дочитал, но очень надеюсь на грандиозный финал падения героя. Но не уверен... дочитаю и расскажу уже финальные мысли.

Вечерами продолжаю проходить космический экшн "Everspace 2". Я сначала посмотрел, что среднее время прохождения игры - 30 часов. Но это видимо, если бежать только по главному квесту. А мне же надо все вопросики зачистить, да все награды заполучить. В итоге я наиграл уже 50 часов, а всё ещё прошел только 2/3 сюжетки. На допы я даже не смотрю. А добить хочется поскорее, потому что во мне поселилось дикое желание поиграть в Shovel Knight.

И да, меня все ещё рубит от таблеток, а до приема доктора осталось 2 недели. Надеюсь она сможет найти решение проблемы, потому что в середине дня приходится ложиться спать хотя бы на 20-30 минут, иначе функционировать физически невозможно.

А ещё мне лень брить бороду, даже в какой-то момент подумал, что сделаю себе косички, как у Марко Хиетала. Но жена не даст, придется сбривать))

Вот как-то так я пока и живу. Постараюсь сюда писать больше чего-нибудь осознанного, но это не точно))

I NEED to make a spaceship for myself and the archives now. Like, I have dimensional magic so transportation really isn't an issue, but COME ON!!! SPACE SHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm enjoying Everspace (the first one) and I think the roguelike model does have quite a bit of potential with a space fighter game, but, and I'm guessing some of these issues are fixed in the sequel, which seems to have been better received, it can make the enemy encounters a little repetitive. If we're comparing to something like Freelancer, which had enemy territory that could be avoided or not and patrol paths and trade routes and a persistent reputation system. Like, you wouldn't just have an enemy fighter literally flying round and round in a circle waiting for you to attack or a freighter staying stock still in space. The mining stations are good.

Everything feels a little anonymous, I guess. And the enemy fighters, even though some are clearly tougher than others, don't seem to fly smarter than the lower level grunts, at least at the early stage that I'm at. I haven't felt the need to experiment with the different weapons that have been made available to me, because shooting out the shields, then switching to the gattling gun to shoot their ship seems to be all the strategy I need right now. The fights don't feel as tense as I feel they could, because there doesn't seem to be much need to think and manage resources while being shot at.
