Four new Expendables get sent to the Hadal Blacksite, once again after the crystal

They seem familar...

We have Kevin, supposedly framed is how he ended up here. He is fast, smart and values safety more than anything. However he has little hope that they all are going to make this out alive. He's anxious but he's at least glad he's here with others, especially his best friend Radford and his other friend Ethan.

Radford, having a count of trespassing on his criminal record. He is a bundle of optimistic glee. This is just like a video game he thinks, and with video game logic in mind he surprisingly survives pretty well. He doesn't take this completely seriously, having fun exploring the Blacksite with friends.. but he's really good at surviving the things they run into.

Ethan, also has a count of trespassing, seems him and Radford were both taken at the same time. He also isn't the brightest, a bit to curious for his own good. Easily distracted too, on several occasions he had to be pulled into a locker. But he makes up for this by putting the other three first, despite being distracted for the most part he tends to step forward first when theres something targetting them, like maybe a turret? Within seconds he bolts to the switch, acting like it was just another easy task he had accomplished. He jokes around alot, trying to lighten the mood despite their situation, he drives to get some laughs.

Streber, the reason why he's here hasn't been stated. He only really knows Ethan and is untrusting of the others, even when knowing Ethan he still snaps at him for his stupidity as wwll as Radford. He feels all of them are going to get him killed and often is driven by anger. Something happened to him before he became an expendable, might have to do with part of his left arm being missing. Like stated before he is not trusting, But Ethan can at least reason with him as they seem to be good friends. He also packs a good punch, he would be the type to drive his fist right through a Wall Dweller before it had a chance to run.

The team they have is not perfect, they are not expected to return. But if they do, it will be with the crystal.

I just thought about how- even though the Expendables are in hadal blacksite rigth now- what was their outside lif like? You can make as many stories as you want for your ocs and etc, but what about Expendables in a whole? As I said, I believe our Expendables are a beloved weak ass entity, but they did live outside.

All I'm wondering is, how odd was it? Imagine having lived in a neighborhood with just every few people that you meet there being just a bit... Off. They get severely injured but come back fine tomorrow after only a bit of medical aid? Eh, kind of weird but I guess it's normal? A fatal car crash that killed EVERY PERSON except them and one of their friends as they are suddenly back tomorrow? 😟. Erm.... No offense but you're supposed to die when your car got crushed like a soda can clapped between two trucks.

I bet the Expendables where always a bit weird, like they felt pain, but could care less. They can die as much as they want, and probably live the same lifespan as a regular person. Or less to balance out their slight immortality.

Wtf am I yapping about?? I need some sleep this migraine is getting to me.

Leather Jacket Records (Christchurch, New Zealand) has been on a tear for the past couple of years. It seems lately they are trending to releasing new music rather than reissues. While "Children of the Rule b/w Waikouaiti" isn't a reissue, the music represents new music from someone who's been playing music for nearly 40 years. I was first introduced to Jay Clarkson's music on the amazing Tuatara compilation - Expendables' "Man With No Desire".

Now comes this single from Jay Clarkson & The Container (Waikouaiti, New Zealand). The Containers are a veritable who's who of New Zealand musicians - I mean Alan Haig (The Chills, Snapper, etc.) and Mike Dooley (Toy Love, The Enemy) are HEAVYWEIGHTS in the annals of New Zealand rock.

Paul Kean (another big hitter from The Bats) mixed and mastered this.
