maybe an unpopular opinion (?) but i love how hotch's story ends - all those times being whisked out of jack's life at the drop of a hat to go on a case for who knows how long & in the end he's whisked out of the team's lives out of the blue for who knows how long (probably forever), to be with jack & not leave him for his job ever again

in the first ep he's trying to find a name for jack that won't connect in his brain to a serial killer & after so many years being pulled both ways he finally (earns) makes a complete decision, how many cm characters get a happy ending?? a hero's ending!

i hope this isn’t super weird to share but i’m going through a grief situation in my family right now and for some reason your art really is getting me through. i’m not sure why! i loved it before this happened but reading it again is comforting somehow and the way that your characters are embraced in their flaws and feel their pain fully for some reason calls to me at the moment. can’t wait to see what happens between them ♥️ they’re messy but it’s so cathartic and exactly what i need right now

I'm going through something myself and this little pocket of "weird" that I'm writing is kind of helping me push through. I read fiction for the same purpose - some feelings are safer when they're explored within a story. Please never apologize for what you find comfort in, because at the end of the day, no one has to walk in your shoes/live in your skin/see the world through your eyes/experience what you've weathered. We're all on this planet trying to Fucking Make It, man, and I tell you what: find joy where you can. If it doesn't hurt anyone, it's game. If it's my fanfic then dude hold the reigns and let out a scream when it bucks. That's all I've got to say on that.

I said she because usually it's some random girl who I barely know and don't care about but actually my biggest, most olympic gold medal level hater was patrick who I worked with in 2022 who would spend more time at our job doing obsessed psycho shit like making up fake complaints from my tables to run to management about or ripping my tickets from the line before anything had a chance to be made to try to get me to fuck up or regularly standing around on his phone when we opened together and then telling the gm he restocked everything by himself when she came in while I was still out in the shed getting the rest of what we needed, etc. than anything else. He left that job before I did because his parents who he still lived with bought a huge million dollar house on the beach in florida but weren't ready to move into it yet so he got to go down there and live in a 5 bedroom mcmansion rent free by himself for a year while half the time we worked together I was couch surfing and pulling 60 hour weeks because this was right after my apartment was declared uninhabitable and I lost everything I owned for the second time in my life due to circumstances beyond my control :)

AND MANOLO LATER ON WHILE IN A VULNERABLE STATE BECAUSE HE THINKS HE GOT HIS FIANCÉE/BEST FRIEND KILLED GETS BASICALLY MANIPULATED INTO COMMITTING SU!C!D3 AND……like that is so fucked up for xibalba to do like really fucked up(besides giving a CHILD a medal of ever lasting life cause he’s a d!ck who likes taking advantage of people but whatever) AND THEN HIS BEST FRIEND HIS CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND!!!

and then both of them while still grieving get forced into a marriage neither of them want

it’s horrible

especially when you take in Maria’s pov who was trying to protect her lover from a snake and wakes up to learn it was for nothing she lost someone she cared for deeply and then she’s going to get married to someone she DOESNT EVEN LOVE

and don’t get me started on how Joaquin has to marry his childhood love knowing she’ll never love him back KNOWING THAT SHE’LL FOREVER MISS AND GRIEVE A MAN THAT DESERVED HER WAY MORE THAN HIM(idk I feel like he’d probably think that in his grief riddled mind but maybe that’s just me)

all in all this whole thing is awful and I feel so bad for them

Yknow I wrote sm long corny sad posts but I thought about it and I cried about it and I got it out and I decided instead of being sad to be inspired by all the ppl I follow who are going through so much of their own things but still manage to be charming and lively and steadfast in their goals. Honestly its wicked nice to be at a point in my life where nearly everytime I start falling apart my gut instinct is to figure out how I could make it better, even if only a little bit.
