Daryl (+Beth) and ‘settling down’
In season 6, everyone is surprised to learn that Michonne and Rick are now together, after they were literally caught naked.
Daryl seemed to think little of it, and continued his season 5 and onward trend of disinterest and lack of any real passion or enthusiasm.
Then Abraham asks him point blank,
He’s closed off, but lets his face slip for just a moment. It’s like you can see him seeing that moment right before she was taken- again and again. He looks so sad and tired. From season 5 he seems to use his hair as a physical shield from others.
Daryl never opens up about Beth, not even to Carol or to Rick, but it’s more in what he doesn’t say that’s revealing. He doesn’t say, ‘no actually, I never have thought about that’. Instead, he says
It reminds me of another scene from early in Alexandria, where he’s fully shut down post-coda, and Rick tries to reach him. I think it may be Rick trying to kind of sus out what type of bond Daryl and Beth had, by bringing up his loss of Lori. Either way, it seems very intentional to have Rick open up about this specifically to Daryl. Like he said in the episode following her death, “I know you lost something back there.”
He’s clearly trying to encourage him to go explore their new home, like the rest, by hinting that even though Lori didn’t make it, he’s still going on. He’s not dead, and neither is Daryl, not yet at least.
Again, what Daryl doesn’t say is more interesting. He doesn’t say ‘oh well that’s sad you lost someone, I can’t relate’. Instead, he seems to acquiesce to what Rick is saying, an agreement and sharing of his nostalgia.
‘Here we are.’ Just not with them.
Why would he want to go look around? She’s not there so it’s hollow anyways. It means nothing to him, because she’s not enjoying it. She’s gone, just like Lori’s gone.
In 4x13, it’s a totally different Daryl than we’ve really ever seen, relaxed, teasing, content. He doesn’t even have the same constant pacing about to explode, about to leave any minute energy. He’s planted into the ground, happily. They no longer look for the others, the seasons are changing, and they have each other, and that’s enough now. Without realizing, the entire goal of their days has changed, from frantic searching and despair, to more ease and comfort.
Beth makes it clear she’s tired of moving on, so it’s all left to his decision. When he finally suggests they stay, she doesn’t seem shocked. It looks like she knew she could convince him to stay from the start, and just had to play it right. She looks happy, just like he does.
Abraham never met Beth, but he met her on her death bed, cradled in Daryl’s arms. He saw the emotion, the care he took of her lifeless body.
Like Rick, I’m sure he’s assuming that if Daryl had thought about settling down since the world had ended, it would have been with the girl whose body he held with such reverence and sorrow.
He never says No,
because he had thought about it, but shit doesn’t settle.
💔

Ace and his U.M (Unique Magic)
Ace and his unique magic I think was actually not suprising to me because I was guessing and rambling to friends about the signs created about Ace and his future unique magic. One where he could be so OP and copy someone elses unique magic... WHICH WAS RIGHT ALONG WITH THAT PERSON WHO ALSO THOUGHT ACE IS U.M WAS COPYING BRO WAS ALSO A PROPHET LMAO!! anyways
It took 4 years to see his U.M so YAYY we finally got everybody's U.M so here am I to ramble about how Ace just whipped out a huge uno reverse card to whoever he's going to verse
So heres a ramble from me!! someone who rarely analyzes things but wanted to ramble anyways! Also this might not make sense because Im not good at explaining stuff that well I MAY WRITE BUT ANALYZING STUFF IS TOTALLY OUT OF MY LEAGUE UNLESS ITS SOMTH I CAN GRIND FOR HOURS ON I mean it goes for TWST but I can't word it right at all smh...
Ace is U.M was offically shown in Book 7-290 where he instantly went to help his friends in the fight with riddle.

In battle Ace himself admits his fear of failure by sharing the fact that he's afraid of failing everyone while the MC is there to reassure him along with the fact Grim encourages him by telling him that Ace can do it because we believe he can. Their support, their encouragement and reassurance is what brings Ace the strength to continue on thats what helped build up to his unique magic

“I’m going to take your special treat! Joker Snatch (Or translated to Give me your trump card) After ace has casted his U.M onto Riddle whats even funnier is he used RIDDLES own magic against him collaring his housewarden.
Ace and his unique magic is known as ‘Joker Snatch’ which gives the magic user the power to steal or copy their opponent's unique magic. Same abilities as Azul and Trey with the two’s U.M which is “Its a deal” and “Doodle Suite”
I wanted to explain about how we not only got hints of it but right on conversations from Ace about it even before he got it.
To start off first is Ace is name. Ace Trappola
Trappola is the name of an old Italian card game that stands out as the first one in which the ace is considered the highest-value card, and ranks above the king.
The change for this was because of changed following the French Revolution in the 1500 after which the Ace was promoted to the highest card in the deck-11- a symbolic nod to the overthrow of France's nobility and rise of the commoner a single number that outeanks it all.
Because ace was traditionally the lowest card in the deck until angry French proletariats overthrew their monarchy.
In games based on the superiority of one rank over another, such as most trick-taking games, the ace counts highest, outranking even the king. Which makes me focus on the Red Tyrant arc when Ace attacked Riddle not only once but TWICE for the males seat as housewarden and when Riddle overblotted. Correction Three times as we add Riddles Dream where they have to fight Riddle. Ace standing up to people in positions of authority who are objectively stronger than himself shows how an ACE is higher then any other rank no matter what because Ace is himself someone who may be in a group yet by itself/himself is strong on its own/
With the hints laid between chapters and vignettes the whole Unique magic was dangling right infront of our eyes ALSO SHOUT OUT TO THAT PERSON ON TIKTOK WHO GOT IT RIGHT BECAUSE I KNEW IT TOO I WAS SCREECHING!! Ahem

A conversation in Ace is dorm vignette shows with him talking with cater how he was able to 'steal' skills from others paying attention, along with the fact he’s good at mimicking people’s voices and it was repeatedly said that he’s good at copying stuff / is a fast learner. He is able to bend these things to his own will at the same time. In the same vignette we also see that Ace is impressive short-term memory is confirmed he is adept at mimicking those around him, or both. In his dorm vignette, Ace learns multiple things from Rook in order to get the missing hedgehogs back into heartslabyul along with the fact he was able to easily copy Vil is strutting in the Fairy Gala event after heckling and mocking jack. Another example is Ace able to copy his brother & fathers magic tricks. His older brother is his only sibling, seven years older, a former Heartslabyul student and NRC graduate.
With the fact Ace likes to do tricks infront of people like Deuce to scare them entertained by their shock of him doing things that they wouldn’t expect.
Ace explains that it was his brother who taught him how to lie convincingly and that he learned slight-of-hand by memorizing his brother’s motions since his brother refused to teach him directly, and Cater compliments him on being able to pick things up on his own and think so quickly on his feet.
Ace explains himself that “Most things, you can imitate if you see ‘em enough and pay enough attention.” another example and hint for his U.M Riddle also takes Ace is memorization telling him that he should do the same to memorize the Queen of Hearts’ Code which Ace denies quickly stating his way of memorization is different to memorizing the ones for the queen of hearts. These examples show how Ace is able to adapt to situations copy others in situations rembering the slightest bit of details even witnessing their unique magics only once but is able to get the hand of them easily yet his U.M could mean he has a higher chance of gaining blot.
Ace is such a good character I can't write anything that explains much well but I do wanna improve on that but Ace is a character was the first one we met who was able to stand up to people in higher positions with help of the [MC] pushing him even without a U.M dealing with overblots and now somebody who was helped by [MC] again who cheered him on to BEAT Riddle in a fight again but this time with a U.M The start and THE END was Ace being beside [MC] who pushed him forward in these situations and Ace being able to be vulnerable hits hard along with Deuce WHO HITS HARDER WITH HIS U.M WHEN THEY TOOK DOWN RIDDLE YEAHHHH. Anyways thanks for coming to my yap session It probs wasn't explained well but to wrap it up. Ace is unique magic was right there infront of us building up. How he's a quick thinker, a fast learner able to understand something, pick up a trait from someone else easily since he was younger that he was able to do it himself without being guided to do so and facing both times against riddle with the help of [MC] to push himself harder even when he thought he was going to fail the time when Riddle Overblotted, and when Riddle fought them using riddles own skill against him. Though we don't know the drawbacks caused by Ace is U.M like I said he could have higher chances of overblotting do certain Unique magic he uses from someone else cause his body harm and changes? like with Leona would he have cracks in his hands if he ever used it because of the sand? with cater if he duplicates himself would he get light headed because his body isn't used to it like cater's is? does he have scars from trying to use someone else is unique magic knowing the drawbacks but harm will still happen? will his body ache if he used fae of maleficence ? we don't know what could happen to ace with his unique magic and the drawbacks so for now its unkown. Ace is such a good character and I'm glad we got his Unquiet magic finally and I'm so happy to finally see it now that we got it all <33 ── .✦ Back to where I was tweakin

Another analyzing post, this one is something I just recently noticed. In season 1 where Will's encephalitis started getting worse, there have been animal statues and a painting in the background that fit a bit too well to the situation.
The first feature I've noticed was the horse painting in Dr. Sutcliffe's office.

It almost perfectly applies to Will, according to the research I have done about the symbolism behind it. A white horse can be associated with purity or good fortune, in addition with the blood that explains, in Will's case, the symptoms of his encephalitis he has to go through to be able to fully embrace his true nature.
Then there is this black elephant statue, right next to Dr. Sutcliffe, which is not very easy to see but that is probably also the intention of it.

It refers to, again, Will's encephalitis but more in the sense of a major problem that is almost to everyone somehow obvious but is being ignored or not taken seriously. For example by Jack.
Dr. Sutcliffe finds it out pretty quickly. In my thinking, probably already has the idea somewhere swirling around in his head before Hannibal mentions it. But again with "the elephant in the room" he shows Will that it is nothing neurologically wrong with him.
I'm just wondering if the neurologist knew about Will being on the autism spectrum, either by seeing it on his computer or Hannibal telling him, by the reassurance he gave Will.
The second statue, a turtle that was in Hannibal's office, kind of hidden behind Jack.

It doesn't match too well with Jacks personality, one that refers to him would be the hard shell representing protection and symbolizing the ability to withstand challenges.

doing another re read of kuro and the amount of detail in these two panels alone is mind boggling

it’s Ciel’s 10th birthday and the day the Phantomhive family is murdered. we know this firstly because the narrator (Elizabeth) tells us, but also because we can see an advent calendar behind her with the 14th unopened.
advent calendars are popular among children who celebrate Christmas, building up excitement for weeks before the holiday. each door has a festive gift behind it; oftentimes candy or a small toy, and children open them as soon as they can. as someone who grew up with these, they were the first thing opened every morning without fail.
given Elizabeth hasn’t opened this door yet, either she’s showing major restraint or is preoccupied by something far more important. we see her sitting at a desk with embroidery tools visible, which leads us to the next panel…

her gift to Ciel is a hand embroidered handkerchief, a common and heartfelt gesture between lovers in the Victorian era. my guess is that she is mimicking what the older female figures in her life at the time (likely Angelina or Rachel) are doing with their partners. regardless of the why behind the gift, it’s clear how much she cares through her efforts.
the embroidery is flowery and intricate, symbolizing an innocent, childlike love, and the ‘cuteness’ she’s trying to maintain. on the contrary, there’s bandaids on her fingers, showing the pain she’s been through to complete the work, or maybe it’s from her fencing lessons. either way, her duality is on full display.
and she’s SO proud of herself, you can see it on her face. it’s amazing! yana really did an amazing job making an 11 year old girl complex.
please let her be happy 😭

I think the implications of Haymitches birthday being the same day as reaping day could play as a great catalyst for his alcoholism later in life. Of course the trauma of the games and losing his entire family and beloved girlfriend definitely pushed him but, the fact for 15 years his birthday was a day he couldn’t celebrate because of others death, it became something he couldn’t not celebrate because of his own hand in leading other to there death, on his birthday. Haymitch at 17 leading 2 kids his age possibly younger to there death for 23 straight years. The day in which he entered the world marked by blood for almost his entire existence, and at one point what he thought would be his entire life. Drinking became a way to push those feelings out of his mind and make him less detached from people and in all likelihood himself. His birthday his reaping day, the day he was brought into the world is marked with an incredible darkness, the mark of death for 47 children a year. My poor poor boy.

This is just a small analysis on how Himiko Toga’s emotions influence the usage of her quirk throughout the show:
(Major spoiler warning for My Hero Academia!!!)

Himiko Toga has always loved a lot, and because of her quirk, Transform, she would express her love by drinking blood. When she drank a dying sparrow’s blood and happily showed her parents, they pressured her into suppressing her quirk, and by extension, her love, “I fall in love too easily. With animals, with villains, heroes too, boys, girls, anything alive. Because they all have such lovely blood flowing through them.” (Episode: A Girl’s Ego).

Since she wasn’t going to drink blood to show her love anymore, she started envying others, instead. She envied their quirk, their smile, their relationships, and more, “Everyone told me I shouldn’t smile, and it made me so envious” (Episode: A Girl’s Ego). A prominent example of her envy is with Izuku Midoria. She is constantly asking for his blood, and saying that it’s because she utterly and truly loves him. While this is true, she is intentionally ignoring the reason why she loves him so much, that being how she would rather be him than be herself.
The one character that she loves purely at this point in the show is Twice. But when Twice gets killed by Hawks, she ends up switching from using her powers because of envy, to using her powers because of hatred. She does so by turning into Twice and making clones of herself in order to get revenge on Hawks, along with other heroes. “Die, heroes!” (Episode: A Girl’s Ego).

Himiko Toga has now gone through three stages. Love, envy, and hatred in that order exactly. In the episode A Girl’s Ego, Ochako Uraraka manages to get Toga from hatred back to her final and first stage, love. Ochako Uraraka is the one who ends up fighting Himiko Toga, but instead of harming her, she just tries to talk. This doesn’t work, however, because Himiko Toga is way too blinded by hatred to cooperate, “I’ll make you stop talking, Ochako Uraraka!” (Episode: A Girl’s Ego). Eventually, Uraraka manages to get Toga to go back to Envy, “You seem normal because you played by the rules! You have no idea what an easy life you had!” (Episode: A Girl’s Ego). Now that Toga had went back to the stage of envy, it was easier for Uraraka to get her back to the stage of love. “Ochako, am I cute?” “The cutest in the world” (Episode: A Girl’s Ego).

Himiko Toga never stopped loving. All she needed was understanding, and that was enough to clearly see how she drank blood out of malice. It was always pure love and affection. Now that she had someone who loved her for who she was, she decided to save Ochako’s life at the expense of her own. “Thank you, Ochako. You made me so happy. Genuinely, truly happy” (Episode: A Battle Without a Quirk). In this heartbreaking scene, Himiko is shown, alive, holding a sparrow that looks exactly like the one she had drank the blood from in her past. But this one looks up at her and flies away as Himiko smiles at it. Though it’s true that she had started and ended her life loving how she wanted to, the first sparrow was dead, symbolic of how back then, Toga only knew how to take. But now that she had met Uraraka, the sparrow was alive because she knew a way to love that now benefits everybody.

“If only I had understood then. If I’d had experienced this kind of love before, maybe I would have wanted to give people blood just as much as I wanted to drink their’s. And then maybe the world would have been an easier place for me to live in.”

Okay. Kaiju No. 8 B-Side Ch. 11 thoughts. (That’s a doozy of a title)
Seriously I’m DYING for more of Narumi’s backstory. Or even more of Narumi in general(he’s my fav if you couldn’t tell…)
.
.
.
[SPOILERS!!]

First thing we learn is that Narumi really, really wanted to stay in the defense force. Can’t really blame him and I don’t have much to say on this… but also he’s always put in effort. To everything. I think that’s gifted kid burn out.

He’s also got a backstory similar to Kikoru, but I feel like there’s more desperation. He wanted to be noticed so badly, not just to belong but to succeed. He wanted love. Maybe that’s why he ego surfs now? Idk

There’s no way that DIDNT scar. That’s all for this part :3

Finally we learn that Narumi already had some capacity to See. Also that he’s put in a lot of effort to be able to use his eyes for longer periods of time, but I could make a whole other post abt that. I’m desperate to know more. That’s all!

HAVEN ANALYZATION
Probably grasping at straws with this one in an attempt to sound smart but other than this being gay asf cause the most noticeable thing here is akito looking at toya while everyone else is looking forward but if you compare angles to how everyone is standing both an and akito are looking towards toya and kohane; their partners, while being a further distance back? could be a thing with how an and akito have historically had major problems in relation to feeling lesser than said partner, or the pressure of needing to keep up with them due to a real or perceived different talent level and the feeling of insecurity about falling behind, although heavily think im grasping with this one cause. vbs has progressed a lot between current en timeline and jp timeline and a lot has changed after stuff like wtwg, ors, etc. and also pretty sure entirety of vbs has struggled with this but etc etc etc
also thihng i wanna say i noticed js now is how an and akitos perception of falling behind are relatively similar but the situations are (kind of?? if you squint) opposite, in an's case its falling behind someone who was just recently new to what you've been doing for almost your entire life, while with akito its like. sort of newER person to music trying to live up to the ability of his partner who has been involved in music his whole life. so basically i think an is fear of falling behind, while akito is fear of not being able to catch up(??? if that makes sense) which would als make sense as to why it looks like an is further behind kohane than akito is to toya, (yk, for an the gap being, kohane jumped ahead of her, and worry about falling more, where with akito being closer to toya it shows how toya was already ahead of him but akito strives to catch up) although technically if you look at the angle akito would be farther from toya i think but.
Think this is kinda just dragging up old stuff for vbs cause again they've progressed a lot between en and jp timeline and just since start of game in general obviously but i just wanted to yap so
OHH MY GOD would also like to point out how with the sitting order theory, in this toya is also the furthest ahead, representing his most experience with music
OH MY GOD AND ALSO AKIKOHA ORDER. They are complete opposites in terms of how they are good at music. V good representation of talent vs skill. Also kohane is SLIGHTLY ahead of akito could be because natural talent automatically gives you a boost ahead, while with skill you have to constantly work harder to improve, and you start from scratch pretty much.

I mean, the hallucination of Ursa says that Azula treated Mai and Ty Lee badly, and Azula knows it, so " Azula knows Ursa loved her" can also be true
No, not necessarily.
I guess this is what confused so many people. The majority of the fandom just looked at the line about Mai and Ty Lee, which is true, and assumed that everything else is true as well.
Indeed, the hallucination calls Azula out on her treatment of her friends, but saying that Azula hallucinates "I love you, Azula, I do", because "she knows her mom loved her", is oversimplifying it and ignoring how complex this scene really is.
You have to look at what else the hallucination says:
- What a shame, you've always had such beautiful hair.
- I didn't want to miss my own daughter's coronation.
- I love you, Azula. I do.
What do all these lines have in common? They're all positive reinforcements. Complimenting her hair, acting proud of her coronation, saying she loves her, these are all positive things.
And there's only one negative line, because it criticises Azula on her treatment of her friends:
- I think you're confused, all your life you used fear to control people, like your friends Mai and Ty Lee.
Azula looks away the next moment, so we can tell this is what Azula believes herself.
But what about other lines? Does Azula know Ursa would be proud of her? I guess, no.
- I didn't want to miss my own daughter's coronation.
- Don't pretend to act proud! I know what do you really think of me, you think I'm a monster!
Does she know Ursa loved her?

" My own mother thought I was a monster", wouldn't come from a person who's sure her mom loved her. This is just not how narrative works. Why would Azula suddenly have this revelation that Ursa loved her in the mirror scene, when it was previously established that she had issues with her mother?
This is what makes this scene so interesting. What exactly is the truth and what is not? More specifically, what does Azula herself believes is the truth and what is not?
The logical interpretation is that the only thing that is true for Azula is the line about Mai and Ty Lee, when Ursa says something negative about her. All of the other positive reinforcements are likely not.
If Azula doesn't believe Ursa would be proud of her, because she thinks of her as a monster, we have no reason to assume Azula "knows" Ursa loved her.
And it's tragic because the only thing Azula believes about her mother is criticism.

I always saw Pochita and Makima as parallels
It's so interesting to me how both strong and powerful devils seek for something which is.. totally the opposite of what they represent.
Of course this is what the story is about, right? Specially when it comes to devils. But the reason I compare these two is because they have the same dream: they want to be loved. They want a loving connection with someone. Both are tired of being lonely.
Pochita due to his scary appearance could never get a hug
Meanwhile Makima due to her concept she could never get a family, a place to belong.
They have the same situation, but still one ended up fulfilling his dream and the other ended up with nothing.
This is why Pochita and Makima are parallels. Their two characters tell us the same story but both show us two types of endings: One got a good/happy ending and the other a bad/sad ending.

Funny how the one who futfilled his dream has a devilish like appearance and the one who ends up losing looks exactly like a human.
You'd think that the monster-looking one gets the bad ending. But no, the human-looking devil ends up being the real monster.

Steven should have been grounded in episode 10 of future
Hello, welcome to my blog/post. Before I say anything, I just want it to be known that I'm not making this simply to crap on Steven universe future. I do like some of the ideas in it, Even if I personally don't like it. I hate how I even have to preface this for my opinion, But I've seen how vicious the Steven universe community can be. You're free to open discussions about this post of course, But I'm not tolerating petty insults or death threats.
So you're probably wondering why I believe Steven should have been grounded, especially considering his mental state. I won't be covering every second of the episode in question, But I'll go over the most important points for my argument.
In the episode 'Prickly Pair' we get to see Steven after quitting little homeschool, throwing himself into gardening and clearly not coping as well as he thinks. While tending to his plants, Steven pricks his finger while transplanting a cactus cutting, then heals it with his saliva and touches the cutting to finish the process. Like we've seen in the past the plant comes to life, But this time with the ability to parrot with Steven says.
Steven later on in that episode begins to rant to the cactus about some of the more negative thoughts he has, Which seems to result in it growing and becoming a monster later. (Obviously, there's finer details I'm skipping, but they're not important to my point. Feel free to watch the episode for the full context)
Cactus Steven grows into a monster and proceeds to attack the gems, destroying a bit of the house in the process and parroting all the horrible things Steven said. (I know they're supposed to be rusty, but they get their butts thoroughly kicked here). After good old-fashioned violence doesn't work against the cactus, Steven apologizes and gives it a hug, being gifted with a flower in return as the cactus Steven leaves by making a hole through the door.
So thanks to Steven's choices, the home has been damaged and He has put the others in danger, he also said some arguably hurtful things that got back to the crystal gems. (Granted, they don't really react outside of moments of pausing before getting wrecked, But that's besides the point). And what does Steven and the Crystal gem have to say after this whole situation?
Amethyst: "hey, dude?"
Pearl: "is there anything you need to talk about?"
Steven: "I think I said enough..."
...excusez-fucking-moi?
Steven, You think you said enough? How about "My powers have been acting crazy and I might need your help" or, And hear me out on this one,
A goddamn apology?
For someone who is so quick to pick apart the people who have done nothing but show you love, You got real quiet when they actually wanted to talk about what you said.
Before someone calls me out for being insensitive to the mental state of Steven. Number one, someone's mental status doesn't necessarily negate their criticism, number two, I have multiple disorders including depression and PTSD, and number three, Your mental health does not excuse you from the consequences of your actions.
And don't bother telling me "it happened off screen." There's no evidence for this, and even if it did happen off screen that wouldn't make it good. (Yes I'm aware of Lars and Sadie, I like what they did, just not how they did it. Might make a post on it.)
But despite this, there's actually someone I have even a bigger problem with.
The Crystal gems
If you'll entertain me for a sec, imagine you had a kid, now imagine that kid drove a car through your house, You tried to meet them with kindness and ask what's wrong and all they reply with is "I think I've done enough." I imagine that most of us would be a little bit more than angry, Even outside of the damages done to the house.
It would be one thing if Steven did all this damage and was willing to at least give an apology, But he can't even do that. Love isn't patiently sitting on your ass hoping the other person corrects their behavior, sometimes it's doing stuff that you or the other person doesn't want in hopes of helping. Steven himself has done things others don't like in order to try and fix things in the past. I understand it's the end of the episode, they could have simply moved the consequences to the next one.
I understand wanting to show compassion to your kids, But if they're starting to show a pattern of destructive behavior and won't even give you the time of day to try and help them through it, sometimes you need to put your foot down. What happened to the pearl who participated in a competition against peridot for her respect? What happened to the Garnet who could be laid back at times but knew when to put her foot down? Where did the amethyst who attempted to throw peridot's tablet in the ocean So she listen go? I'm not saying each of these actions are justified per se, I'm just saying it shows a certain level of care.
As someone who grew up with mental health problems and became a rather shitty teenager because of it, I'm honestly thankful people in my life were willing to call me out and at least attempt to work with me. It showed a level of self-respect and care, Knowing that I was going through something but not letting that fact allow me to hurt them.
Do I think actually grounding Steven would have done anything?...Not really, I wouldn't even be surprised if he didn't follow the grounding. Attempting to do so would just show the gems are taking an active parental role and doing something, trying to make sure someone they care about doesn't hurt others or themselves while taking the time to cool off.
If Steven was my kid, and I had asked him what was going on after he wrecked our home and I only got "I think I said enough." He would be grounded for months. Of course I care about the well-being of my kid And I want to give them the space they need, But when what they're doing is clearly not working and is actively hurting themselves or others, That's when parents should have a problem.
Not only would this give the crystal gems a bit more of an impact in future, But the consequences would give weight to Steven's actions.
(Hope you liked my ramblings and and it entertained you for a bit. I plan on posting more Steven universe stuff, especially in the regards of the show and AUs, So maybe hit me with a follow if you think that's something you like.)

Why Bluey x Jean-Luc Works
So! Sense I've been in a Blueluc mood as of late, I'd like to make an extensive post on why I love this pairing, and why it works so well!
(Please note this is my personal opinion, and isn't meant to attack or shame other shippers who don't ship this pairing!)
Now! Let's begin!
First off, where did this pairing even begin?
Blueluc started after Jean-luc's first debut in the episode, Camping. His first and only major role in the show-- but this single episode was enough to spark one of the most popular ships in the Bluey fandom!
The first thing we learn about Jean-luc is that he speaks French and cannot understand English, but despite this language barrier, it doesn't deter these two from playing together and instantly hitting it off! They immediately start to connect without even understanding a word of what the other is saying.
It's just the fact that they connect and bond so fast and become such close buddies in such a short time span, if they get along that well in just a few days, who knows how much further their relationship could go and grow if they were able to spend more time with eachother.
A thing to take notice is we see the two build a little make-shift hut, and to me, feels like a metaphor of building a home together. Now it could be reachy but it's definitely something to take note of! They made something special together, something only for them.
But that isn't the only thing I'd like to point out--
Second case in point-- the touches--
These two are already so comfortable holding hands and making physical contact even after, what? A day or two? For most people it can take a few weeks, even months or years to be this comfortable with physical contact like this-- now yes, they are kids and kids usually don't really care but even so, it's still a big leap even for people their age--
Plus, it's just so adorable-- look at them!! Little bbys!! Holding hands!!
Another thing I'd love to point out is the tree and how it's a metaphor of their growing relationship.
While I could be reaching with the building-a-home metaphor, this one is undeniable meant to be a visual representation of their relationship with eachother, as it holds such a large role in the episode, but I'll go more into detail later after it's done growing!
For now, let's take a moment to point out why they get along so well, and how it'd work for any romantic relationship that may form for their future.
As we all know, Bluey is a bit bossy when she plays games with other kids-- that trait likely stems from the fact that she's a Heeler, a herding dog, which could explain why she feels the need to take charge.
And not to throw shade, but her personality type just doesn't mesh well with someone like Mackenzies-- they're both hard headed, stubborn and feel the need to take charge when they can. That headstrong attitude just wouldn't work well for a serious relationship.
But it does work for someone like Jean-luc, who was more than happy to follow along with her games, simply just wanting to play and have fun, not even being told what to do-- just saw that Bluey was collecting sticks and went to help her and play with her.
I'm not saying that he's a "follower" by any means, but I am saying is that he's willing to accommodate with her, a true gentleman I must say! Just a wittle sweetie!
(Plus again, they got so close so quickly and easily--)
And that's not to say Bluey doesn't do the same in return! Again, she can get pretty bossy when she plays, so I think it's worth pointing out how well she handled the minor miscommunications she has with Jean-luc is a pretty big thing for her-- instead of getting upset at Jean-luc or stop playing with them because they can't understand eachother, she instead shrugs it off, and comes up with a way where they can both understand eachother via the drawing on the rock!
She was willing to think of a different way to communicate and get over their misunderstanding so Jean-luc could get it. Most people don't do that, especially for someone they've only known for around a week--
Now, let's talk about THIS scene, now this? This just simply broke my heart on first watch, and even harder on rewatches--
It truly amazes me how they fit so much genuinely good chemistry between two characters in the span of a single episode that most shows can't even do in the span of 2 seasons--
The writers truly out did themselves, there's a good reason so many people cry at this scene and after--
Speaking of after! The time skip!
Now ik many debate if this scene is even canon but there isn't any indicator it isn't a flash forward, so I'd say it very much happened.
Now remember that tree I was talking about earlier? Here's where we pick up where that left off--
It shows that their relationship stayed strong even when they were apart, the tree fully grown and in bloom, symbolizing how their relationship only grew with time, even as they got older.
It's one of my favorite aspects about the episode, and my favorite piece of symbolism for these two.
I could go on and on about them and why their relationship just simply works, but I think just simply watching the episode will do all the talking for me-- that and the fact this is the most popular ship in the fandom lol--
But I think I've made all my points clear! If you'd like to discuss further, go for it!
Thank you for reading!

Currently overthinking double meanings the worker’s chant.
If you want to keep your head (ie stay sane), oh you gotta keep your head low (don’t rebel against the system).
If you want to keep your head (ie literally, stay safe from physical punishment), oh you gotta keep your head low (ie bent over and doing your work diligently).
And her dark clouds roll in the [world] up above… keep your head low… (implying that they are choosing to ignore the problems of the above world by keeping themselves focused on work)
