Quite a few people seem to be mad about the kiss. Complaining because a gay couple kissed before our main lesbian ship.

Not naming names but someone even claimed that there was more mlm in this wlw comic. And all I have to say is….huh? What do you mean more? Have we been reading the same comic? Lenore and Annabel have basically done everything but kiss. They’re the two protagonists and arguably the most important next to the academy. But apparently that’s nothing compared to one kiss between a cowboy and his bootlicker. Which by only confirms that Will is gay. We don’t know if Montresor returns his feelings. We barely even know if Montresor sees him as a friend!

Is the only way to measure queer rep is if they kiss? That’s a pretty dumb and quite honestly ignorant. Plenty of straight ships in media don’t get to kiss for a while. In tv shows it’s not uncommon for the main characters to date other people before they get together. So why should we hold queer ships to a higher standard? Why should a creator set any narrative tension they’re building up just to please fans? Why are we putting the characters sexualities and gender before the story?

People are allowed to be disappointed for a lack of a kiss. But bringing up the fact that a gay couple kissed first comes off to me as trying to win tumblr political correctness points while also trying to make the comic seem more ~problematic~ and by extension the creators.

TLDR: Stop holding queer ships and rep to a higher standard than straight stuff. Let stories play out how the creator’s plan. And stop putting sexuality and gender before a character’s character

When i opened webtoon at 3 am to look at the new episode for sbg and saw the thumbnail for it i just knew the aidlyn shippers were gonna lose it

Chat, I see your aidlyn hype, however, as someone who ships Taylyn (and therefore Tyden (even tho i’m sad ppl care more for tyden, but as said in a previous post it’s likely due to aidan bein a fan favourite)) I was rather happy for the episode.

Like look at themmmmm, first ya got some Tyden, Then some Taylyn if ya squint, then (sobbing fr) some aidlyn. And then, whilst it might not be this, i see the 4th/5th image as like, Taylor trying to move Aidan because she might think that ashlyns overwhelmed by his closeness or smth and/ or she’s jealous because of Aidan proximity to ashlyn.

(also that last scene is probably one of my favourites, shit had me cackling at 3 am (cause i’m the uk the eps release in the middle of the night 😭😭))

ALSO I BETTER SEE MORE ANGSTY ASHLYN (+ Taylyn or i beg just no aidlyn or smth) FICS ISTFG IM BEGGING, IM ALREADY HAVING TO TAKE MATTERS INTO MY OWN HANDS AND IM SOBBING BECAUSE I STRUGGLE WITH ACTIALLY FINISHING FICS 😭😭😭 (i have only fully written and posted 1 fic lol)

Oh my god, this chapter was insane. The stakes are rising so high now. The kids are being hunted in both the human and the phantom world and the fact that the phantom world has been more relaxing in the last few chapters is insane.

Jasmine is batshit insane and I don't know if I love or hate her. She's shooting those bullets like this is a BB gun or something but OH MY GOD, LOGAN! LOGAN, LOGAN, LOGAN, LOGANNNNN!
