Moon 21: We had a special visit from an old friend, Childs ranked up and a momma had to fight for her life! Also the Truth come out about Lakefur!!! Additionally I have some NectarClan StarClan lore stuff I am thinking about, so let me know if y'all wanna hear about that <3 Hopefully gonna start coming back! 🌿Nightleaf’s age: 20 moons🌿

Moon 21 - Greenleaf

After three long moons, the war with CypressClan has finally come to an end. Flickerstar announced it to the entire clan while she was on top of the highrock, her tail flicking behind her as she looked down at the clan below her. Warriors cheered, but not Nightleaf. Everyone around Nightleaf seemed happy about the end of the war, but Nightleaf would be lying if he said he didn’t enjoy the conflict. Sure, the war tired him out, made him stressed, and he should be happy but he wasn’t. The war was enjoyable. Moosefreckle seemed to have noticed Nightleaf’s mood, and walked over to the medicine cat. Moosefreckle took Nightleaf aside before the rest of the clan could notice Nightleaf wasn’t cheering, and Moosefreckle asked what was wrong, his tail wrapped around Nightleaf’s shoulders in a comforting way. Nightleaf lied, there was no way he was admitting to anyone that he liked the war with CypressClan. Nightleaf just said he was frustrated about the lack of herbs growing around the territory.

While Nightleaf and Moosefreckle were talking, three more kits were made into apprentices. Firpaw, Antpaw, and Spinterpaw. Firpaw’s mentor is Pigeonclover, Antpaw’s mentor is Fruitshard, and Splinterpaw’s mentor is Strikewhisp. After the ceremony, Moosefreckle went to CypressClan in an effort to smooth CypressClan’s relationship with Mapleclan. Unfortunately, it only seemed to make things worse. Perhaps it was on purpose? Riverfrost no longer has a stomachache

What happened to QuietClan

Soooo it's been a while and like I've mentioned before, I haven't been posting because I've been busy, I figured I'd give a run down of what happened in QuietClan when I had all this free time. I did play well in to the 100's and my sketches go to about moon 102. Read under the cut, if you're curious but I also came on here to mention that I will be making a new Clangen blog. This time, I have a semi-planned story instead of just letting the RNG tell it. Not sure when I'll start it but I'll post a link when I do. So on to QuietClan:

Picking up where we left off, Rainbowpelt is pregnant, her partner was some random loner. The same moon, Nutella and Elmhare bring home an orphaned litter of kit. Rainbow gives birth to three kits and the same moon, a former kittypet named Luci Purr, renamed Purrpounce (remember her), joins the Clan with her five newborn kits. A two moons later, a rabid group of rogues bursts in to the nursery in the middle of the night. Rainbowpelt and most of the kits died in the ensuing fight. The nursery survivors are two of her kits, Hazelkit and Firkit (remember him), Purrpounce, and two of her kits: Kinkkit and Eggkit. Immediately after, a loner named Oriole joins with her three sons: Lizardkit, Firekit, and Sunkit.

After that kit boom, Hazelpaw is apprenticed to her aunt Minkeye, cheering Minkeye up quite a bit. Firpaw is apprenticed to grandpaw Nutella and Elmhare. Sunpaw falls out of a tree on his first day out and has an extremely delayed warrior ceremony but in the meantime, grows a close bond with Pondfox (also injured at the time), Elmhare, and Greenstar. Purrpounce broaches the idea of stricter patrols to Greenstar and the same moon, Minkeye, Bogtwist, and Hazelpaw are taken by twolegs. They all die outside the Clan.

Elmhare and Pondfox grow some impressively high romantic like for each other. Elmhare finds some more orphaned kits on patrol: Stormkit, Heartkit, and Acronkit. Soon after, Bitterkit and Bitekit are found by Nutella. Berrykit is also found by Purrpounce. Eggfeather, now a warrior, is very bubbly and air-headed and is the girl every cat around her age is attracted to. A couple moons later, Oriole and Greenstar become mates, just very randomly.

At moon 38, Elmhare and Stormpaw died in a timeskip, which I drew as a human with a crossbow. A few moons later, Greenstar and Lizardshimmer are taken by twolegs. Her extra lives are taken since she is no longer under StarClan's skies. Pondstar becomes leader, making Purrpounce her deputy on account of wanting a deputy that will question her. When Pondstar comes back, Purrpounce announces she's expecting kits with her friend, Sunlion. But only a few moons later, a pack of dogs attack the Clan. Pondstar loses all her lives protecting Sprigkit and Featherkit.

Purrstar names her son Kinkjump deputy, despite his nervous nature and not finishing Heartpaw's training, due to her getting taken by twolegs at 9 moons old. Sunlion stays in camp to watch over Featherkit as he fights yellowcough, but the kit succumbs to his illness at 5 moons old. Heartbounce finds their way back to camp but the moment of joy doesn't last, as Nutella is found dead by the FrondClan border later that moon. Sunlion dies of an infected dog bite the next moon. Purrstar is... unwell.

Purrstar declares war moon 54. Eggfeather has been dating Acronbreak but they disagree on when they would want kits now with this war. Of all Eggfeather's many romantic prospects, Acornbreak is the most likely at this point. On the same moon, Greenholly returns, glad to be home and reunite with Oriole but devastated to learn what happened to her friends and fellow founders. The same moon, she and Oriole adopt their daughters Hootkit, Claykit, and Russetkit. The war fizzles out only a few moons later with both Clans concerned for their own young kits.

A fire breaks out moon 59 and during it, Acornbreak dies shoving Purrstar out of the way of a large burning branch. Purrstar is devastated, she knew about how her daughter felt about Acornbreak, who was a strong, upstanding young warrior. The next moon, Bitterfur, a good friend of Purrstar's, and Sprigfang, her youngest son, die of yellowcough. Firjay was unable to treat them due to the fire burning away his herb stores and being too injured himself from a dog attack too look for more.

The clan notices that Greenholly gives more attention to Hootkit than her other kits after saving her from a hawk. All the clan either has a strong opinion or is desperate to get away from the gossip. A apprentice from FrondClan joined after the fire but Purrstar is always hostile to him and his mentor (a former kittypet named Flameblink) has to constantly interrupt. Flameblink was Sprigfang's former mentor though, and part of her hates him, trying to associate him with her son's death.

A loner named Dori joins with Agavekit, Ryekit, and Quickkit. On moon 63, Russetpaw died sneaking out of camp and stepping on an adder. Rubbing salt in Greenholly, Purrstar names Ficklepaw Ficklenudge. A few moons later, she and Oriole rescue the orphaned Waspkit and Oakkit from a fox, adopting the kits as their own.

Moon 71 is when Purrstar suddenly dips in to full dictator mode and every other moon, she'd snap at someone questioning her leadership. Purrstar would order someone to help her punish the questioning cat, either through coercion or getting someone in her inner circle to do it. Despite getting in to all these fights, Purrstar never lost a life from the ensuing injuries.

Among the injured parties is Purrstar's mate Stream, who dies from her claw wounds. Oriole dies of infection. Heartbounce continually challenged Purrstar. At one point, Purrstar tried to get Eggfeather to punish them, but she was easily defeated. While still injured, Purrstar ordered Eggfeather to attack Hoottiger (formerly in Purrstar's circle). Eggfeather becomes Firjay's mate after he defends her. Hoottiger is punished by Purrstar herself and dies of her wounds.

At this point, Greenholly looks to the stars, completely despondent. She's taken by twolegs the next moon and dies soon after. She resides in the outsider residence, having lost her faith in her ancestors. She finds other clanmates that died under Purrstar's rule here.

From this point on, QuietClan cats proceed to die constantly, among them being Firjay, Ficklenudge, Heartbounce, Firenettle, Kinkjump, and many, may others. The Clan is always at war, cats always choose violence on border patrols, there's not enough hunting patrols. Eggfeather has lost her bubbly personality. There's no medicine cat, her mate is gone, her friends are gone, the Clan is ruled by fear. Even when Purrstar appoints her deputy, Eggfeather doesn't find the strength to assassinate her mother. When Eggfeather retires, there are no young, able bodied cats to take her place. No one can hunt, everyone is injured. Slowly, the clan starves to death.

In the end, the only survivors are an ancient Flameblink and his three sons. Then, he too dies, leaving a newly named medicine cat and two apprentices. And this is the cyclical story of QuietClan: left on the brink of extinction by war, famine, and disease due to a bloodthirsty leader. The youngest are left to pick of the pieces. No one in any clan lives long enough to remember that this has happened before. New StarClan makes old StarClan's mistakes. They don't trust themselves, thus, the previous generation goes silent.

A Fresh Slate- The Story of Slateclan The Formation Part One- An Egret Takes Flight!

Egretberry ran out of Gullclan’s land as fast as he could, darting through woodland and past the Fallen Willow. Haunted by the taunts and threats of his ex-clanmates, he collapsed in a small ditch in an unmarked land. The white and silver tabby tom shook with every breath. A need to find his freind, whom was kicked out moons before him, filled Egretberry to the brim. Rising from the cold earth, Egretberry heaved himself onto his exhausted paws and started searching for the other tom. He wandered aimlessly for a few momments

Egretberry looked around at the melting snow. New-leaf would come soon, and bellies would no longer be empty and stressed. A twig snapped behind him. Egretberry would Freeze. He’d whip around, paws trembling, and focus on keeping calm and steady, then call out “Who goes there?” The tabby tom would pray to starclan that he didn’t sound afraid.

A pause, then rustling as a cat stepped forward, through the bushes “Egretberry is that you?” Flypaw gasped, blinking, “Why aren’t you in Gullclan?”

Egretberry looked over the apprentince, Flypaw looked to be surrvivng just fine. He explained, “I was exiled, but it was clear if I didn’t leave immediately I was to be executed. How is Firpaw?”

Flypaw considered for a second, then replied “Well… still rather ruffled about being exiled, and a bit unsure about being without a clan. Me and her are managing pretty okay though.”

“Good. Have you seen where Slatestep is residing? I must speak with him”

Flypaw shook their head. “Nope. Last I saw him looked as if he was tryna get some rouges or something to take him in,” They’d tilt their head, trying to recall “Don’t think it worked. Hope he didnt get hurt though.”

Egretberry clicked his tongue. “Ah. I’ll keep searching.”

The gray rosetted cat dipped their head. “Good luck!” Flypaw then turned tail and trotted away.

Egretberry exhaled sharply, padding away. The forest was clearly quite lush in New-leaf and Green-leaf. The thick undergrowth and steep slope made walking through a bit hard, but it was tolerable. He’d scent the air, and find no sign of Slatestep. The ex-medicine cat sat before a small pond and focused intently on finding the other tom. Before long, colors danced in Egretberry’s eyes and gradually shapes began to form from the splotches.

Exiting from a hollowed out tree was Slatestep, who padded up a nearby fallen over one and began to speak. A tabby cat with short, silver fur and a pale underbelly sat beside him. They also had hazel eyes. The colors blended together once more. Feeling himself loose focus, Egretberry turned his attention to the question he needed answered the most. Where is Slatestep? Centering himself on that thought, Egretberry’s breathing slowed as he Observed the colors shift and blend once more. When they settled, Egretberry was looking upon a creek, with what appeared to be a fox or badger set maybe a tail length or two away. He burned the image into his mind, tracing over every little detail until he opened his eyes back to the pond.

Egretberry stood, ears straining in hopes of hearing a creek. There was no babble of water, just a very slight breeze. That breeze carried the smell of water from some place distant, so he followed that smell. He wandered and searched, eventually finding a creek and following it through the hills. The sun started to lower from it's high point. Egretberry kept trotting through the dead shrubbery. His paws grew cracked and achey Maybe I can find some coltsfoot? I think it's still a little early in the season though. The pale pelted tom would glance around, but not see any coltsfoot. 

"Egretberry? Almost didn't see you next to all that snow!" Slatestep chuckled from a nearby tree. Egretberry jumped back at the suprise.

Egretberry smiled. He gave glanced over Slatesteps form form where he laid out in the tree, checking for any injuries and trying to inspect his general health. He seemed well, no scratches or wounds. The pale gray tom was fine. "Good to see you Slatestep. How have you been doing sense you were exiled?" Egretberry asked, "I will never forgive Fogstar for exiling you for such bee-brained reasons."

Slatestep lept down from his branch, a frown crossing his face. "Yeah. I've been surviving, at least. I... try to avoid thinking too much about the exile." He fluffed out his long fur, yellow eyes down cast and sorrowful, "But, that just means I no longer have to hide myself. I don't have to live in a place where I'm considered a she-cat" The fluffier tom shivered at the thought.

"A positive, I suppose," Egretberry added. He placed a sympathetic paw on the other tom's shoulder.

Slatestep's eyes brightened, the frown dissapearing. "Fogstar can go to hell for all I care!" He proceeded to add, "Don't tell Fogstar I said that"

Egretberry laughed "I can't, I too am exiled."

The older tom's eyes went wide, he exclaimed "Hold on, Fogstar exiled her only fully trained Medicine cat? Sweet Starclan she's feather headed!"

Egretberry mewed, "Yes, I'm a bit nervous, Dandelionpaw is likely going to the Dripping Stones to get his Medicine cat name tonight, but he's no where near fully trained."

"Not your problem anymore now is it?" Slatestep pointed out. His eyes had a little spark almost, as he eagerly replied, “Walk with me. I have a plan I need to tell you about."

"Which is?"

"We're walking and talking Egretberry, Come on!" Slatestep called, beckoning the other tom with his tail.

Egretberry obliged, padding after Slatestep. He winced when his cracked, sore pawpads rubbed a particularly rough pebble. The pair climbed over a hill and then down into the thicket-filled valley beneath it. There is very little talking on this walk and talk is there? Frost was melting off of ferns and icicles were starting to melt. New-leaf was coming, and so were new beginings. "So, what are we going to discuss?"

They arrived at a little grove, a small clearing sheltered by fallen and towering trees. "Gullclan needs to be challenged. We cannot continue to stand by as they get away with their horrible deeds. Another clan has to be formed to stand up to them." Slatestep explained, turning to face the Medicine cat "Who better then the outcasted warriors they have unrightfully sent away?"

Egretberry's dark blue eyes sparkled with understanding though he questioned, "So, a clan formed just to be a resitance? What happens if we win? Do we disband?"

Slatestep shook his head. The solid colored tom replied, "Four clans would mean four groups that all keep each other in check. It will make the place we call home a more balanced place."

Egretberry nodded. I suppose that makes sense. "I'm in. You will need a medicine cat," He explained, "And you know that I have a particular connection to our warrior ancestors that will come in handy."

Moon 1 | Greenleaf

Skypaw hears a meeting being called, and he starts to run on the harsh, cracked ground, ignoring the stinging pain in his paw-pads. He screeched to a stop beside his mentor; Icebraken. With Firpaw settling beside her as well.

"Thank you for coming, for we have an important meeting."

Skypaw spies Guppykit in the small group of crowd, the kit's tail still. He's changed since they had escaped the Twolegs and the weird smelling substance - which had claimed many of their Clanmate's lives. He used to be a happy-go-lucky kit. But he's gotten strict.

"Today, Gupyykit is becoming an apprentice." Russetstar's gaze lands on the kit. "From now on - until he gets his warrior name - Guppykit shall now be known as Guppypaw, with Flutterstream as his mentor; may StarClan guide his path." Guppypaw slowly walks up to his new mentor - touching noses - and sits beside his new mentor.

"Guppypaw!"

"Guppypaw!"

Skypaw stares as his paw-pads, which start to sting. The meeting is disbanded and Skypaw heads for the Menders' den to check on his paws.

"Hey - you in here Peaktree?" Skypaw pokes his head into the den.

"Come in!" A red tom said in a slight sing-song voice. "Whatcha need?"

"My paws hurt."

"Not big deal; it's just the terrain."

Skypaw ran too fast over harsh ground and hurt his paws.

Guppykit is now Guppypaw!

5th Newleaf

Stonewhister got skunked. Not really relevant. Just thought it was funny.

All of the kits became apprentices the same moon. It’s an exciting and rowdy bunch.

Plumpaw is apprenticed to Star, but has a lot of anxiety around becoming a warrior apprentice. Not helped by him having strange dreams. He wonders if he’s on the right path.

Cricketpaw is apprenticed to Tulipnose who immediatly starts gossiping to her about other clanmates. She has an exciting first training with Halfpaw in the tunnels, where she accidentally bumps into him.

Vinepaw is apprenticed to Roseypelt, Sharpstar hoping that the brave cat can help Vinepaw come out of her shell a bit. She's very relient on her sisters, espesially Egretpaw. She's a bit resentful of Halfpaw, wondering why a cat from a fake clan who was the child of a leader that couldn't hack it gets to have the leader for her mentor.

Egretpaw and Racoonsnout work well together, and she emerges as a bit of a leader for her fellow apprentices. Well-liked and always reasonable.

Firpaw had been somewhat of a sickly kit. She's prone to seizures, which Snowmane is the best a helping her with. She also catches greencough right before becoming an apprentice. Despite this she's very self confident, in her abilities and appearance. Being the child of two deputies, she feels certain that she's got the skills to succeed. Though many think she a bit foolish, Thornwater, her mentor, thinks it's good she's got a positive attitude and wants to help her develop the skills she seems to know she has.

Halfpaw is truely shocked when Sharpstar proclaims she will be his mentor. He's had trouble feeling accepted by his clan mates, and really he just feels even more singled out.

Warblerpaw is happy to be apprenticed to as strong a fighter as Braveblaze. Hoping he'll learn some topnotch fighting abilities.

Martenshine decides to retire, only after being reassured that she won’t be thought less of. Her leg giving her a lot of trouble. She hadn’t even been able to make it out to visit the twolegs she was fond of. She’s happy that her clanmates care enough to support her.

5th Greenleaf

Thornwater, not for the first time, wonders if leadership is right for him. He loves guiding his clan mates, and looking out for them, and cracking jokes. But bossing other people around has never been fun for him. As Sharpstar ages, he wonders if he could handle those same burdens. He wonders if he wants to. Or if he just wants an uncomplicated life with Rosypelt. He decides to think on it. A few moons later he discovers he’ll at least get a nice break in the form of his and Rosypelt’s first litter of kits.

Snowmane and Goosetooth find a dead queen and two surviving kits. Naming them Applekit and Riverkit. Goosetooth seems shaken when Riverkit opens his eyes to show one is deep blue and the other is yellow. Though he does not elaborate why. Thornwater and Rosypelt decide to take care of them, as they’re moving into the nursery soon anyways.

5th Leaf-fall

Racoonsnout also announces kits with Ridgetalon

Plumpaw passes every assesment with flying colors, and are made a warrior early, alone, before everyone else. This does not help their confidence. He’s half convinced Star passed him just to be done with him.

Thornwater and Rosypelt have five kits...... 

Star retires, all but confirming to Plumfreckle that she wanted to be done with him. Having no idea that literally no one else feels this way.

Cricketpaw becomes Cricketspeck, and is honored for her adaptability. She’s certainly grown into a people-pleaser, and is very good at telling cats what they want to hear.

Having learned a lot from Braveblaze, the newly named Warblerfall thinks of himself as a very cool lonesome warrior. He even wonders what it would like to be a loner, roaming from place to place.

Ridgetalon and Racoonsnout have four kits. Too many kits...

Vineshell, Firflutter, and Halftalon join the ranks of the warriors, leaving Egretpaw alone in the apprentice den. She fails her final assesment because she was thinking more about her sisters and Halftalon. She takes it in stride, at least on the outside, Racoonsnout is apologetic, as with the new litter, he’ll have to pass the bulk of her training to someone else. She understands and trains with the rest of her contemporaries.

6th Leafbare

A kittypet named Midnight Goddess joins the clan. Alright.

Egretwing receives her full name. Racoonsnout is extremely proud. And looks forward to seeing he warrior she becomes.

Sweet Marmalade lands on her feet at last... But her mate is still slipping.

Bigkit, a kit found by Spottedmint and Snowmane, gets apprenticed to Braveblaze. Expressing his wish to be the strongest cat in the clan.

Thundertail dies of frostbite. Goldcreek is very upset that he couldn’t save her. Even more upset that he didn’t have any idea that it was going to happen.

Applepaw is apprenticed to Firflutter. It’s hoped she’ll get him out of his shell, and explain things in a way he can understand.

Riverpaw has a strange dream on the eve of his and his brother’s apprentice ceremonies. He sees a white cat in a feild of blue flowers. The flowers whither and die as the cat walks through them. He’s apprenticed to Egretwing, a cat who’s proven herself to be wise and an excellent teacher before even becomming a warrior.

A tiny, weak kit with permanent shoulder pain, in and out of the healer's den every half moon.

Moon 2 : Newleaf : Year 8

Vixenpaw, Firpaw, Mothpaw, and Ridgepaw all pass their assessments, and travel to the Star Hollow to receive their warrior names. They are named Vixentrot, Firmask, Mothbranch, and Ridgetail, respectively.

Ridgetail and Bellshine both die of a bad bout of greencough that spread around the clan. Both of their families are devastated, and Sun holds a three day vigil alone.

Beetlestar names Twinespot as her deputy, which the clan seems fine about.

A young cat is discovered near the Star Hollow by Sun and Beetlestar. Beetlestar offers to shelter the cat, and she introduces herself as Light. Light is apprenticed under Mothfall and given the -paw suffix over the moon.

Bloompaw has a vision and tells Duskwater about the experience.
