I've been on an quest to find more edible plants and overall things in my local area, more indigenous to the area as well and other cultures. Theres this phrase ive heard from those around me growing up "people will eat anything" Derogatorily, in reference to something that isnt the same fucking 10 vegetables you can get at the grocery store. How awful is that? this subconscious fear of almost 5,000 more edible things on this planet we can eat and cultivate and nurture. I want to find and discover more things I can eat. Ive always been interested in trying foods native to an area and maybe im a little homesick from my state and the foods found there. It's just odd to me that some foods and recipes are seen that way. LIKE, oooh what the fuck people eat that? thats so weird thats just some random plant. EVERYTHING IS A RANDOM PLANT!!!! omg... i want to try foods

What really sucks about gluten free stuff (apart from it never being as good as the original) is that it's often lumped in with dairy free/vegan and I'm just sitting here like whyyyyy where am I supposed to get protein from huh?? And my calcium for my thrice-at-risk-of-osteoporosis bones??? And have you ever tried vegan stuff/food made with dairy alternatives that aren't pure rice or coconut milk? They're gross! Macaroni cheese, but you're not allowed the fuckin cheese on top of not being able to have real pasta???? Hell. Nightmare. Gimme my DAIRY! I bet anyone with a dairy allergy isn't having fun with the gluten free side either. Yuck. And while I'm on a Rant, why the FUCK are you putting fuckin apple in the gluten free version of JAFFA CAKES?????? Just... why why why are they trying to cater to all these things at once. Terrible. The only overlap I'm thankful for is the nut free thing, bc if you're ever in a cafe or wherever their gluten free cake is 95% likely to contain nuts bc apparently anyone wanting gluten free is also a fuckin vegan and capable of eating nuts?? Bleh. Even the shit in shops is more often gluten & dairy free/vegan than it is gluten free & nut free. I'm dying here. I'm starving. I'm withering away and I'm full of spite and rage at the predatory pricing and the extorionate shit I have to face any time I want to eat food.

I swear mushrooms have literally no business in being in so many foods these days. I'm intolerant af of them like everything inside my body goes outside my body and I lie in my bed in pain for like 3 days at the mere sight of them intolerant and it's getting hard to eat new foods. I picked up a thing of GRANOLA today, turned it around to look at the nutrition facts and happened to glance at the ingredients and saw it had mushrooms wtf. I just wanted some damn peanut free granola to bring to school.

Food Allergy And Intolerance Products Market: Exploring Innovations in Food Manufacturing to Provide Safe and Healthy Options for Allergy and Intolerance Management
Tumblr media
The Food Allergy And Intolerance Products Market refers to the industry that focuses on developing and providing specialized food products for individuals with food allergies and intolerances. Food allergies and intolerances are conditions in which the immune system reacts negatively to certain components found in food, leading to a range of symptoms and health issues.
Food allergies are hypersensitive reactions triggered by specific proteins present in food, such as peanuts, tree nuts, shellfish, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, and fish. Even a small amount of these allergenic substances can cause severe allergic reactions, including hives, swelling, difficulty breathing, and in extreme cases, anaphylaxis, which is a life-threatening allergic reaction.
Food intolerances, on the other hand, are adverse reactions to certain food components, such as lactose, gluten, or food additives. Unlike allergies, intolerances do not involve the immune system but rather the body's inability to properly digest or metabolize certain substances, leading to digestive discomfort, bloating, diarrhea, or other symptoms.
The Food Allergy And Intolerance Products Market aims to provide safe and suitable food options for individuals with these conditions. This market includes a wide range of products, such as allergen-free foods, gluten-free products, lactose-free alternatives, and other specialized dietary offerings. These products are formulated and manufactured to meet the specific dietary needs of individuals with food allergies and intolerances, ensuring that they can enjoy a well-balanced and nutritious diet while avoiding potential allergens and triggering substances.
The market for food allergy and intolerance products has witnessed significant growth in recent years due to several factors. These include:
Increasing prevalence of food allergies and intolerances: The number of people diagnosed with food allergies and intolerances has been on the rise globally. This has created a greater demand for specialized food products that cater to their dietary requirements.
Growing awareness and diagnosis rates: Improved awareness about food allergies and intolerances, along with advancements in diagnostic techniques, has led to higher diagnosis rates. As a result, more individuals are actively seeking out suitable food products to manage their conditions.
Evolving consumer preferences and dietary patterns: Changing consumer preferences, including a shift toward healthier eating habits and increased demand for natural and organic products, have contributed to the growth of the food allergy and intolerance products market. Consumers are increasingly looking for safe and healthy alternatives to accommodate their dietary restrictions.
Technological advancements and product innovations: Advances in food manufacturing technologies have enabled the development of a wider variety of food allergy and intolerance products. Manufacturers are continuously innovating to improve the taste, texture, and nutritional profile of these products, making them more appealing to consumers.
Stringent regulatory guidelines and labeling requirements: Governments and regulatory bodies have implemented strict regulations regarding food labeling and allergen declarations. This has prompted manufacturers to ensure compliance with these guidelines, enhancing consumer safety and transparency.
The Food Allergy And Intolerance Products Market is highly competitive, with numerous companies operating in the sector. These companies range from large multinational corporations to smaller specialty manufacturers. Key players in the market focus on product innovation, quality assurance, and expanding their product portfolios to cater to diverse consumer needs.
Overall, the Food Allergy And Intolerance Products Market plays a crucial role in providing safe and suitable food options for individuals with food allergies and intolerances. It continues to grow as the awareness and understanding of these conditions increase, and consumers seek healthier and allergen-free alternatives to meet their dietary requirements.

tsukishima, oikawa, osamu, asahi, kenma x reader (separately). english is not my first language, hope you enjoy :).
Tumblr media
tsukishima has always been really observant, that’s how he know what to say to get in anyone’s nerves, except with you he tries to notice everything, not just the things that make you feel bad. that’s why when he notices how you are always forgetting your things he starts to double check every time you leave a place, that so if you forgot something he can take it and give it to you later. and it’s surprising to him how you can forget your phone, or your sweater, or even your backpack? anyways, he’ll keep on double checking and, of course, tease you for forgetting before giving your things back.
oikawa knows you have stationary allergies, and that’s why he starts to take tissues, a nasal irrigator, and whatever meds that may help you, be it eyedrops or pills, and at first you think of it as a coincidence that he always has tissues when that season starts, but after some days you figure out he is worried and keeps all those things with him whenever he’s around you, but when you confront him about it he’ll probably say mattsun has allergies too or whatever, all while he blushes a bit and smiles cockily.
osamu quickly realizes you don’t like unagi at all, because anytime he gives you some of his food he wants to see if you like it, and every time you try anything with unagi your face will get this little frown, and at first he thinks maybe you don’t like his cooking—and thinks of giving up his dream—, but later notices the pattern and so starts to make sure he only gives you plates that don’t include it, even purposefully eating all the unagi nigiri if you go on a date and are served some.
asahi knows how much you like to solve sudokus and word searches, and knows for a fact you can finish a book of them in some days, that’s why he starts to look for them at sakanoshita’s market anytime he passes by, and if he gifts them to you when he notices you have finished the one you currently have; he even starts to try and help you solve them, but he thinks he isn’t as skilled as you are, like how are you so fast? and why do you look so good while solving them?
kenma notices that you’re having a hard time with chemistry, and even has listened to you rant about how it is affecting your whole average score, the problem is, he isn’t really that good either, doesn’t consider himself a good teacher at all, but he loves you so much he gets to an agreement with kuroo that he’ll train with him and bokuto some extra time the next training camp if he gives you tutoring, and of course kuroo would’ve been eager to do it anyways, but hey, thanks to you now kenma will be bound to practice more!

Palestinian Territory - The Israeli authorities continue to enforce their ongoing arbitrary blockade of the Gaza Strip, refusing to allow humanitarian aid and necessities that are essential for survival—such as cleaning and personal hygiene supplies—into the Strip. This comes amid the spread of infectious diseases and on top of the precarious living conditions faced by the approximately 2.3 million Palestinians in the enclave, constituting a perpetuation of Israel’s comprehensive crime of genocide, which began on 7 October 2023.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor emphasises that the consequences of Israel’s intentional worsening of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, by blocking people’s access to cleaning and personal hygiene products, medical equipment, and sterilisation supplies, are dire. Nothing justifies subjecting the population to conditions that can cause widespread death, including by causing the spread of serious skin diseases and and infections, including hepatitis.
Israel continues to systematically and arbitrarily deny hygiene supplies and equipment to all Gaza Strip residents, exacerbating the catastrophic health crisis that Israel has caused there. This crisis has been made worse by the population’s forced, widespread, and repeatedly occurring displacement, as well as the lack of personal hygiene supplies and disinfectants in shelters and camps housing hundreds of thousands of displaced people. Israel continues to prevent and obstruct the entry of the most basic supplies into the Strip, creating conditions that are ripe for the spread of infectious diseases, water pollution, and the absence of sanitation services, as Israeli army forces have destroyed these facilities.
Since the beginning of the genocide nearly, Israel has arbitrarily closed crossings into the Gaza Strip, blocking the entry of humanitarian supplies and the flow of food and water. These actions have resulted in a dangerous accumulation of crises that directly threaten the lives and health of the Gaza Strip’s residents, most notably due to their lack of access to food, clean water, medicines, medical supplies, sanitary tools, and cleaning supplies.
Aya Kamal Ashour Abed, a 20-year-old displaced mother of two at the Deir al-Balah Preparatory School for Girls in the central Gaza Strip, spoke with the Euro-Med Monitor team. “We are more than 30 people living in this classroom for about nine months,” she stated. “A few months ago, we numbered roughly 70, but after some of the displaced individuals relocated to tents outside the school, our numbers dropped somewhat.
“We only receive cleaning and personal hygiene supplies in small quantities every two or three months, despite the fact that our number is very high and we require them constantly,” Abed continued. “Sanitation supplies, like tissues, soap, and shampoo, are extremely expensive [or] even nonexistent in the markets.”
Added Abed, “A bar of soap, for instance, now costs 30 shekels (roughly nine USD) while a bottle of shampoo costs 90 shekels (roughly 25 USD). We do not have anything to eat, so how can we afford these amounts for basic hygiene?”
Abed, who was displaced from her home in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip following its bombing last October, said that her two sons had become afflicted with allergies and bacteria, for which she is unable to provide ointments because they are unavailable in UNRWA clinics. “I showed my son to the doctor, and he told me that his entire body is seriously infected with bacteria due to poor hygiene,” Abed told Euro-Med Monitor.
Obtaining sanitary pads—which are pricey and hard to find in local markets—is one of her biggest challenges. “Even though my children’s diapers are completely unusable, I have to cut them into tiny pieces and use them as sanitary pads,” Abed explained. “During my period, I also have to use a single pad for the entire day, which has led to numerous infections and rashes.”
Approximately 680,000 women and girls in the Gaza Strip are of reproductive age. These individuals lack access to menstrual pads and other essentials, and also face other challenges such as inadequate access to water, toilets, various hygiene products, and privacy. Additionally, they must use contaminated or unsterilised materials, which puts them at risk of developing infections that can lead to infertility and uterine cancer.
Since Israel has cut off electricity to the Gaza Strip, there is a growing risk to all residents caused by waste accumulation and sewage flooding of roads and markets due to the inability to drain it. Israel has destroyed most of the Strip’s vital infrastructure, including sewage networks, and forced over two million people—the majority of whom have been displaced more than once—into shelters and tents that lack the basic necessities of life, personal hygiene, and health care.
Forty-two-year-old Mohammed Saad Abu Haitham said that his family of eight, which resides in a tent in the Mawasi neighborhood of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, is severely impacted by the lack of cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and bar soap. Due to its scarcity, soap is unusually expensive and therefore difficult to purchase.
“We do not have the money to buy enough meals for our children, so we cannot buy cleaning materials and soap in light of their high prices and the lack of availability,” Abu Haitham told the Euro-Med Monitor team. “My spouse and kids’ hair has been infected with lice, and we all have skin diseases as a result of not washing and not using enough soap and shampoo.”
Food dyes are used instead of traditional dyes for making liquid soap and sterilisation products, which have not entered the Gaza Strip in months due to the Israeli closure of the crossings and the imposition of an arbitrary siege. These alternative and primitive cleaning products are made locally, are unsafe, and are generally insufficient in both quality and quantity when sold in the markets of the central and southern Gaza Strip.
Tens of thousands of cases of skin diseases, including eczema, have been reported to medical facilities as having cropped up in shelters and camps for displaced people living in tents. This is particularly concerning for women, as eczema often appears on the hands of people working to clean food utensils using antiquated and dangerous materials. Meanwhile, reports from the United Nations indicate that skin rashes and skin infections, especially among children, are sharply increasing in the Strip.
The Israeli authorities have placed an arbitrary and oppressive siege on the Palestinian people there, squeezing them into a tiny area with exceedingly limited resources; denying them access to food, clean water, and other necessities; and leaving them exposed to extreme heat.
The right to dignity is an internationally recognised human right that protects people from humiliation, among other forms of unethical treatment. It is meant to ensure fairness by providing the means for people to live in dignity, as well as other fundamental needs and rights, like the right to health and the right to water and sanitation. These rights are essential to maintaining human dignity and preserving the lives of the populace.
The only way to guarantee the rights of Gaza Strip residents is to put an end to Israel’s crime of genocide, lift the arbitrary siege on the Strip, and rescue what remains of the currently uninhabitable region. Delays will either cause the region to irreversibly deteriorate, or incur significant costs in terms of civilian lives and health.
The international community is required to guarantee the entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, including the entry of non-food essentials needed to respond to the dire circumstances faced by the Strip’s entire population. Euro-Med Monitor stresses that swift and effective action must be taken to safely deliver aid to civilians across the entire Strip, including the northern section, which is particularly isolated right now. Additionally, the international community must prioritise providing adequate supplies of personal and family hygiene products, as well as products for menstruating individuals, plus sexual and reproductive health care services to prevent and mitigate further harm to women and children in particular, and the entire Palestinian population in general. These actions are mandated by international human rights law and relevant international obligations.
Pressure needs to be put on Israel, as the occupying force, to maintain sanitation facilities and services in the Gaza Strip, as well as to guarantee the safety of the technicians charged with repairing and renovating water lines and their various sources. The main water pipelines that enter the Strip need to be restored, particularly those that enter it from the north.
In addition to ensuring the entry of enough fuel to operate the Gaza Strip’s water and sanitation infrastructure, including desalination plants, water wells, and mobile toilets, it is crucial to exert pressure on Israel to permit the entry of materials required for repair work and rehabilitation of civilian infrastructure. These services are essential to the civilian population’s survival in the Strip, and will protect them from the threat of further health disasters.

- Sanji didn’t know what to do.. He wasn’t a doctor. But he knew he had to do whatever he could to make you feel better. He hated seeing you in pain!

- “It’s when people’s bodies don’t like a certain object or thing- it makes them cough or sneeze and maybe even does what it did to y/n.” -chopper
- Mosshead is so confused right now (he’s never been sick 💀)
- You started feeling better after chopper gave you some medicine to clear your system of the food.. And thank god- you felt so much better than before

Summary: The stress of running a doomed household is getting to Portia. In an effort to get her daughter and Mister Finch to produce an heir, she employees local baker Y/n to fill the house with goodies.
Warnings: Portia has anxiety, slight derogatory references to religion, memories of a neglectful marriage, period typical misinformation about pregnancy and fertility, No Beta read

“Mama, I swear, Albion and I have been trying. It is simply in God’s hands. A baby shall appear within my belly when he deems it so.” Philippa shrugged and looked towards the vaulted ceiling as if it was the heavens. Portia pinched the bridge of her nose at her daughter’s idiocy. She walked towards the window and looked out upon the street, shaking her head while cursing her daughter’s religious education. Of all the books Penelope had convinced the late Lord Featherington to supply her with, it had to be the Bible that Philippa happened upon. The very same girl who could not remember her Hail Marys.
Spinning on her heel, exasperated, Portia looked towards her daughter, “It is absolutely in your hands. God gave mankind free will. Free will which you will use to become pregnant. Are you sure that Mister Finch is doing his part, is he doing all a man can to enhance his virility?”
"There is only so much Alby can do, Mama. He has many allergies, it is near impossible for him to eat the foods that are meant to increase his bravado." Philippa yawned resignedly.
"Well, have you noticed any particular type of food that effects his, uhh," Portia raised her eyebrows and whispered conspiratorially, "appetite for you?" Philippa gasped despite her mother's careful phrasing, causing Portia to roll her eyes.
Offended, Philippa tsked, "Mama, that is very improper of you to ask. But if you must know, he rather enjoys sweets before the act."
Of course, Portia thought, when does the man not want sweets. "Then I shall have the staff fill your room with treats and you are not to leave until you are sure you are with child."
"You cannot trap us in our room!"
"I very well can! All of our futures are dependent on your and Mister Finch's coupling. I cannot count on Prudence to put her pride aside and measure up to the task. Penelope has not a suitor insight while she chases Mister Bridgerton's coattail. Please Philippa, if you do not do this we will lose everything." Her ears ran hot as she tried to reason with her. Was it possible that she was the only one who understood the enormity of the situation?
Slouching, Philippa huffed "Fine, although my only request is that the sweets not be from the kitchens. I'd rather it be from Y/l/n Pastries and Delights. The shop has gained quite the following with-"
"Yes, yes. I will take care of it, now off you go! I expect you to be glued to his side by the time I return with the order."
...
The carriage ride into town was bumpy and unpleasant. Perhaps Portia was overly sensitive due to her soured mood. She despised having to haggle, especially with someone as well connected as the Ton's premier baker. Since the death of Lord Featherington, Portia had been careful to reduce the size of the staff and have the kitchens purchase day old produce from the markets. While she preferred to be frugal in such times, this expense would prove to be important. Never did she think her family's future would rely on a man's appetite.
Coming to a halt, she peered out the carriage window. Her destination was at the edge of the Ton, surprising her considering the supposed popularity of the bakery. Gingerly stepping out of the carriage, she tried to settle herself. She knew exactly how to get what she wanted. Men, older men in particular, were simple creatures. With a delicate balance of sexual innuendo and pseudo helplessness, she was sure to emerge victorious.
The shop bell jingled, causing Y/n to look up from her place behind the counter. "Welcome in! what can I do for you, Lady Featherington?" She smiled brightly at the auburn haired woman. The aroma of the shop washed over Portia gently, reminding her briefly of the display of sweets she had at her own wedding.
Portia smiled tightly and approached the counter. To be known about the Ton was both a blessing and a curse. There was pride in being instantly recognized by strangers, yet it made discrete deals such as the one she was trying to procure all the more difficult.
"Hello, Dear. I was wondering if I may speak to the head chef?"
"I am the head chef." Portia released a guffaw, "Pardon me, I'm afraid you misunderstand, I am looking for the shop owner."
Y/n smiled kindly, Portia was not the first to make this mistake, "That would be me, Lady Featherington."
Portia's smile dropped momentarily. A woman shop owner was hard to come by. Sure, there were lady bakers in the Ton, but none owned the shops they worked in. "How modern," she complemented, "I was hoping it would not be too late in the day to place an order for tonight?" She was in fact hoping that it was too late, and thus the remaining goods would have a reduced price given how long they had been siting.
"As a matter of fact, I make night batches to supply to the local families. It seems everyone is partial to dessert before bed," Y/n jested slightly. Although her heart rate picked up a notch, Portia released a laugh to show good nature. Reevaluating the situation, she looked around the shop, "Well I'm not sure what I should order..."
Reading the hesitancy in her eyes, Y/n offered "Why don't I give you an assortment. That way you can come back tomorrow with a list of what was enjoyed, hmm?" She was used to having to sell herself to the people of the Ton, none were quick to trust a female shop owner.
Portia's smile relaxed at the prospect, "That would be lovely, thank you." Y/n started packing up one of each dessert. Absentmindedly, she made conversation, "My condolences on the late Lord Featherington. When my own husband died, it nearly sent me to ruin."
Eyes widening, Portia scrambled for an appropriate response to such an abrupt topic change, "Thank you..." She drifted off, not sure what to say. She studied the young woman, wondering what she was getting at. Their eyes met briefly and Portia looked away, feeling caught.
Filling the silence she continued, "My condolences as well, was it your husband who started this fine establishment?" Internally she grimaced. She knew it was none of her business, yet the oddity of the situation drove her to seek some sort of explanation.
"We started it together. I had to petition to the province to assume control of the estate. They wanted to give this shop to my eleven year old cousin, can you believe that?"
She sucked in a breath, "Yes, yes I can." Portia was becoming all too familiar with inheritance laws.
Y/n placed three full boxes on the counter and grabbed a paper. "Now, I am going to write which box contains which sweet," she beckoned Portia closer to watch as she wrote.
"This box has", rather than listen, Portia found herself distracted in watching Y/n's hands move as she emphatically described how each pastry could be identified. Her fingers twisted as she mimicked the pipped icing atop a miniature cake. The subtle flexing of her hand when she grasped the quill left Portia wondering what strength those hands possessed. Y/n seemed to have a good work ethic, leaving no doubt in her mind that she would be behind the scenes with her staff, kneading dough, working till sweat dripped down the column of her throat- Portia's mouth suddenly felt very dry and she cleared her throat, causing Y/n to pause. Embarrassed she rushed, "Thank you, I shall return tomorrow. You can hand these off to my footmen." She spun around on her heal and in three long strides she exited.
Y/n called after her, "Have a nice night, Lady Featherington!"
...
Feeling rather worn, Portia told Philippa's maid to have the sweets brought directly to her daughter's room. She retired early, settling in the king sized bed with the latest issue of Lady Whistledown. Seldom did she wish to know the true identity of the infamous writer. However, it was nights like these that she wanted to meet the woman face to face. She was curious, how had she made it so far? Was there a man behind the publishing? If it was truly a Lady behind the gossip expose, she may be the most independent woman of their time.
Oh, to be so free, she thought.
Turning, she blew out her bed side candle and tossed the pamphlet to the floor. Even with her husband dead, she was still chained to his decisions, his name, the failures he had made and hid from her. It would have scorned her if not for the fact that she had no emotion left to give the man.
She had never truly been dependent on him, at least not in the traditional sense. There were women like Violet Bridgerton, who mourned her husband years after his passing, pious and properly. For Violet had loved him, and in turn was dependent on his love and company. Portia, on the other hand, had tried to love her husband. She gave Lord Featherington her youthful devotion, drawn to his coy smiles and cold disregard for her. There was a certain safety in giving her heart and hand in marriage to a man who was distant. Who showed his affection in gifts rather than touch or word.
Their relationship, transactional at best, had entirely ceased upon the birth of Penelope. Lord Featherington had given up on the prospect of a male heir and moved to the opposing wing. From then on, the bulk of their interactions consisted of sitting across from each other at breakfast and linking arms at social events. Both were too content to break the newly developed pattern. It was almost pleasant, to look upon each other and feel no obligation to pretend.
Tonight was like any other night in her marriage, spent alone. She was normally untroubled by the empty side of her bed, cold and firm from being unoccupied. Closing her eyes she resigned herself to ignore the sudden deficiency. She told herself that it was of most importance to fall asleep quickly.
