Seventeen’s Ideal First Date
Twas just running through my head 😁
S.Coups: We all know he is going to ✨impress✨. Takes you out to a super nice place for dinner and is all oh it’s no big deal ☺️ but it is to you! It makes him happy how truly grateful you are as well as how excitedly you share all the fine food with him! One of his first questions when you get there is if you have any allergies or anything first though 🥲
Jeonghan: He’s not a big goer-outer, but inviting you over for the first date seems too sus and you’re worth plenty of outings 😘 Jeonghan invites you to a wine and paint night. He totally teases you that you’re totally an amazing artist right? But he really can’t wait to see how you do and have something matching and that joy shows on his face 🥺
Joshua: Your date is a bit impromptu, a night walk Joshua realizes he just really wants to share with you, so he asks you to join him and suddenly you’re off for an adventure! You two probably traipse through a night market first before you end up walking along a bridge, stars shining above you as you watch side by side. And of course a little market memento Joshua insisted on buying you in hand too! ✨
Jun: Bro this man is so pure he’s said himself he would take his crush out for ice cream 🥲 once Jun asks you out, he grins and hopefully asks if you can meet for ice cream on friday afternoon, and how could you say no to those eyes? Buys you as many scoops as you want and gets so excited to swap flavors, please let him! Wipes any drips off your hand or cheeks with the gentlest touch, napkin just brushing over your skin as he smiles softly. 🥰
Hoshi: Hope you like ✨activity✨ because this man is NOT taking you on a restful first date! But don’t worry, he doesn’t want to go somewhere crowded, so you guys will likely go on a hike. Enjoy the way he get so excited at any sights of wildlife, pointing them out with a childlike smile and asking you questions as you walk. Attempts birdcalls that just sound so ridiculous you burst into wild laughter, especially when he does a matching pose. If you get tired or wear the wrong shoes, toward the end of your descent he’ll insist on carrying you just to show off that he can! 💪🏻
Wonwoo: His first move is to ask you to coffee, taking you to the prettiest café he knows of so you can take cute pictures of your drinks and the scenery. It’s a start to the day, too, so if you want to move on to a second location you guys have time to do that, and something in Wonwoo is hoping you will! The second location he has in mind being a really pretty garden to walk through with you- the amount of photos you’ll get on this date!!! He does his best to impress you with botany facts that he most definitely didn’t research the night before, no way…🪻
Woozi: He asks you out to lunch because it’s an easier time to schedule as well as a little less pressure! You guys can go somewhere nice but still casual and have fun over some quick bites-more time to really talk and get to know each other, which is what he wants to do! He will absolutely insist on paying, so don’t try to fight him! That date starts a running joke between you two because the appetizer you split was odd-numbered and you made a Lady and the Tramp joke to diffuse the tension…but he took it as the spaghetti part not the meatball lolol. It was embarrassing then, but cute and funny now. 🍝
DK: Asks you to the water park but, like, not in a misogynistic way. Legit just wants to play on giant slides and chat down the lazy river with you. Laughs if you splash him, but is too much of a sweetheart to splash you back very hard 💔 Insists on cheersing whatever little sodas or smoothies you two drink poolside. Also you guys will have a pose-off when you dive in to see who does the funniest or coolest one as they jump! Makes you laugh with his fish impression 😌
Mingyu: President of the ‘doing his best to impress’ club, Mingyu straight-up takes you out on a boat. He’s like ‘hey, wanna go on a boat ride?’ and you’re just like ‘a what?’ but that’s how you end up laughing in the sun sitting on the bench together, drinks in hand and cute boating shirts aka middle aged rich man chic on for some great photos Mingyu insists on taking 🥰 He hopes you’ll get startled in the choppier waters so he can hold onto you 😏
The8: Just for something lowkey you can enjoy together, he invites you to walk a gallery with him. He’s such a good gallery partner because he genuinely wants to hear your input, what pieces you like or don’t prefer, if something makes you feel a certain way. You also have a built-in photographer who takes some great pictures of you and may ask for a few in return 😉 If you connect any of the arts or their concepts to literature you’ll have Minghao swooning! 🖼️
Seungkwan: Asks you out to a walk on the beach. He loves being by the ocean, and that way you two have plenty of time to talk, which is the most important part of the date to Seungkwan. He absolutely loves seeing the seaside wind in your hair, running along the sand like a pair of giddy children, seeing who could find the prettiest seaglass. After that, you guys get lunch at one of those cute dockside restaurants overlooking the water! You won’t life a finger at that meal, Seungkwan will insist on taking care of you as much as he can 💕
Vernon: Out of both love for films and a desire to keep things low-pressure for you both, Vernon asks you to a movie! He’ll try to take your interests into account as much as he can and balance it with what he wants to see, too. After the movie, you guys can grab drinks or a bite to eat and discuss! Vernon absolutely loves how you two can see the same thing, yet from such a different pair of eyes that you notice things he missed or the experiences hit that much more home for you. This helps him feel more deeply connected. 🎞️
Dino: Such a classic date! Drinks and a night of dancing await you. Corny as it may be, Chan just can’t wait to see you twirl around and let loose with you. Even if you aren’t good, he’ll hype you up and tell you you’re cute and doing amazing, he can help you with anything you want to try. We always feel closer to someone after we dance, right? Well, that’s what he thinks, not to mention this date gives him an excuse to hold your hand lots and learn your favorite drink by heart! 🥂

1. After rescuing Cas from The Empty, the former Angel of the Lord is now human. Stripped of his powers, there are many new things he must learn. Except, unlike last time, he has his best friend (cough, the love of his life, cough) to teach him. Dean teaches him to drive (in Sam’s black market, blue Subaru “hippie mobile” because, even in the face of love, Baby is sacred). They learn about Cas’s new food allergies. Apparently it is actually possible to be allergic to broccoli (I’ve been telling you this for years, Sam). Luckily, he can still eat his beloved cheeseburgers and PB and J’s.
2. Oddly enough, the love confession isn’t as much talked about as it is lived out. The tension is gone, and in its place is a peaceful closeness that the pair has never known before.
3. Cas immediately begins sleeping in Dean’s room and falls in love with the memory foam. (For protection. Who knows what kinds of things might want to hurt him now that he’s human, Sam! He’s bunking with me.)
4. Eventually, Dean starts doing little things to show his affection physically. (Dean? Are you attempting to hold my hand under the table?) Nothing is rushed or sexual, just small back rubs here, forehead kisses there.
5. On the anniversary of his “death date,” Dean surprises Cas with a silver angel wing necklace with “I love you” in Enochian across the back. They share their first kiss over a glass of the Bunker’s best bottle of whiskey, left behind by the Men of Letters, and confirmed by Rowena to be “not cursed.”
6. Sam, the poor interrupting Moose, has the misfortune to walk into Dean’s room the next morning to an eyeful of (Hey Dean, I ran out of shaving cream so I was just going to…holy sh*t you’re both naked! Damn it Sam, get out! Can’t a man and his partner have some privacy?)
7. The two of them come out of the room, some time later, Dean grinning and Cas having the decency to at least appear sheepish.

One thing I noticed is that in the episode "Handstand", Indy is among the kinds excited for the cake, despite it pretty much definitely containing a lot of stuff she wasn't allowed to have in "Markets".
Which does make me think even more that the issue in that earlier episodes wasn't that Indy had food allergies, but just because her mom just doesn't want her eating those things. And that makes me imagine that maybe Indy talked to her mother about what happened at the market and how the fact that her diet being super restrictive basically meant she couldn't really do anything with Bluey? Because any food they wanted to share, Indy couldn't eat, and basically any experience they wanted to do, they couldn't afford to do together.
So I like to imagine that, after that, Indy's mother decided to be a little more lenient with her diet. Basically letting her have some of the things she was previously denied, though probably not in large amounts and probably usually on special occasions, like birthdays or events.

have you tried developing a personality outside of internet derived transition desperation?
Have you considered that maybe the only reason you see me as person who's entire identity is just "transgender stuff" is because you're prejudiced and can't move past the fact I'm transgender? That I'm not fixated on being transgender, but you're fixated on me being transgender so much that you've failed to notice the parts of me that aren't?
See, I shared my cooking progress, a brief (lmao not at all) history of axes from different cultures, and various other parts of myself that weren't transgender coded. But you missed that.
You also didn't stop to think perhaps I don't share 100% of who I am online. I have a loving partner and girlfriend that I actually take time to spend time with. I go places I enjoy like ... for example ...
Tumblr media
... a local Japanese food and housewares market. They're the only place I can go to get the only packaged noodles and curry sauce starters that don't hurt me. Plus tons of snacks there don't have milk, unlike North American brands that seem obsessed with milk as a needless addition (I have a general dairy allergy), and their teapots (because tea is one of my hobbies) and tea supplies are unmatched in quality compared to anything North American made. David's Tea has nothing in comparison against good Japanese tea-ware.
That never occurred to you did it? No. Because you're obsessed with other people being transgender to the point all you'll see is a transgender flag. I can like things and do things because I like/want to, not because the transgender gods require me to make everything I do about being trans.
Anon, I think you need to go outside and touch grass. You're being a bit obsessive.

Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. They fear of being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza, and not being able to inform doctors about all this.
Haya's father owned a food factory that produced a popular dish called "Maf'toul," named "Couscos Al-Sham." He established it in 1996 and distributed its products to all markets in the Gaza Strip, both north and south. Recently, he was seeking to export his product outside the Gaza Strip. However, when the war came, his factory was completely destroyed, ceased operation, and Haya's father's income became zero.
They're freelancing graphic designers and programmers, but their workplace was destroyed too. Haya's younger sister was studying to become an architect and built a more beautiful Gaza, but even the universities got bombed. "Despite this, she continues to dream, working diligently to rebuild Gaza, to achieve her vision of a city full of life and beauty. Her story remains a story of resilience and hope, carrying within it a strong determination to succeed despite all challenges."

Breakdown of Expenses

all your meal/food posts really good and I was wondering how you go about it? Do you meal plan, use a cookbook? I want to make meals as appetizing as yours look
ah, thank you! i'm happy to hear they look good! i normally post things i'm proud of bc i want to share them, so it's nice to hear it's not annoying to see lol
so, we go about cooking basically three—sort of four—ways:
1 (vibes) — we have x or y ingredient (saw it at the store or farmers market and felt like it looked good/was inspiring) and we want to make it with something, what can we make it with? OR we are really craving x or y ingredient, what can we make it with? for this, we typically just kind of Vibe, cooking-wise.
2 (regular rotation) — we have a pretty broad range of recipes that we've made a bunch of times that we've really perfected to our tastes. they're familiar and beloved and while some of them are not "easy" in terms of effort, they are known quantities.
3 (recipe inspiration) — we found a fun looking recipe and are feeling inspired (and energized) to try something new.
4 (ugh, food) — we are unfortunately humans who have to eat and we don't really want to cook, what's the least time consuming/lowest effort thing we can make that will still be reasonably tasty?
and oof. meal planning...... does not work for us. we can pretty much plan a few days in advance at the most, but are lucky enough to live close to multiple different grocery stores/shops, some that we can walk to.
we don't really have any cookbooks in particular we always go to if we're cooking based off a recipe, but some that we've cooked out of recently are: the woks of life, ripe figs, the sioux chef's indigenous kitchen, and the omnivores cookbook. i also enjoy looking at nyt cooking recipes and ducking into the comments (this is how i found my favorite potato recipe ever for duck fat potatoes).
i know that not everything works for everyone, but here's the advice i'd give:
find a recipe that looks good/appeals to you. make it according to the directions (though sometimes this requires some initial modification based on your preferences or needing to adjust cook-time if something isn't cooking according to the recipe's timing—recipes sometimes lie about timing). afterward, make notes about what you'd change next time to your taste. did it need salt/fat/more veggies/was it missing anything/could it have done without something? make those changes next time, and perfect the recipe to your preferences until it's exactly the way you want it.
that's how we really started cooking and then it all went from there. anyway: always happy to chat about cooking or share a recipe if you want!
(we also cook around multiple food allergies, so that's also always an added challenge thrown into the mix!)

Please help Haya get her family to safety. I started this blog to be a studyblr and am mutuals with a lot of studyblrs. Think of all of the students and their families stuck in Gaza. Their universities are destroyed and their lives are in danger. Haya's family has only reached 81,114 of the 100,000 they need to get to safety. If you are able, please help them reunite with their brother in Belgium.
From Haya's campaign:
Dear Humanity,
I'm Haya from Gaza , from a family of 8 people: my parents, two sons, and four daughters (two of them suffer from allergies).
I've witnessed the evidence of the tragedy that has struck our lives in Gaza, where my family and I have survived amidst numerous previous wars. But today, we face the most dangerous and fierce battle in the current war. The urgent need intensifies for us, as we have nothing left and are unable to secure our basic needs such as food, water, and safe shelter.
Here is our story - On October 7th, our lives changed forever, my family and I evacuated from northern Gaza to southern Gaza, hoping to return soon, but it wasn't meant to be. Our home was surrounded, burned, and then completely destroyed, Our home, once a fortress of hope, now lay in ruins, a stark reminder of our shattered dreams.
The night before we left from the north to the south was terrifying. Shelling sounds were everywhere, making a loud noise that felt like it went through our souls. Every explosions shook the ground like earthquakes, sending shockwaves of fear through our trembling bodies. filling us with fear. The air smelled of destruction and blood, making it hard to breathe. When dawn came, we saw the devastation around us, realizing our home was now a symbol of loss and despair.
We ran into the streets and with each step we took into the unknown streets, we felt as if we were plunging deeper into the abyss of our shattered existence, leaving behind everything we own in our home: Clothes, important official documents, the car, and literally it's almost everything - the enormity of our loss weighed heavily upon us.
Our home it was where we found hope, safety, and made precious memories. Losing it felt like losing years of our lives, leaving us adrift amidst the wreckage of our shattered existence.
Desperate Plea: Escaping Gaza's Allergy Nightmare
I, Haya, suffer from severe allergy to penicillin-derived medications, and my sister, Amal, also suffers from severe allergies to medications from my family such as Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.
These allergies create a deep sense of fear and anxiety for us, as we live in a constant state of tension and fear of anything that may require a visit to the hospital. We fear being given inappropriate medications due to the unavailability of suitable treatments in Gaza because of war or lack of awareness and not informing the doctor of our allergies, which could lead to serious consequences threatening our lives.
This situation breeds a storm of doubts and worries, so we appeal to you to help us leave Gaza and rid ourselves of the anxiety and fear due to allergies.
My father owns an automated food factory that produces a popular dish called "Maf'toul," named "Couscos Al-Sham." He established it in 1996 and distributed its products to all markets in the Gaza Strip, both north and south. Recently, he was seeking to export his product outside the Gaza Strip. Our dreams are heading towards oblivion in the labyrinth of an uncertain future
My story, along with my siblings, represents a united team of four individuals, three of whom are skilled programmers and one graphic designer. We work as freelancers in the world of freelancing.
Since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, our lives have come to a complete halt. There's no work, no workplace, not even electricity or communication. Our workplace was destroyed, and the entire infrastructure in our area was crippled, leading to the loss of all our projects and sources of income. Thus, my family and I have become without any means of livelihood.
Tumblr media
As for my younger sister, she is a student studying at the College of Architecture. She has always carried a big dream in her heart, a dream of being part of changing Gaza, of making it more beautiful and better. She looked forward to the day when she would receive her degree and start building this dream. But the beginning of the war changed everything. The destruction of infrastructure and universities cast shadows of despair over her dreams.
Despite this, she continues to dream, working diligently to rebuild Gaza, to achieve her vision of a city full of life and beauty. Her story remains a story of resilience and hope, carrying within it a strong determination to succeed despite all challenges.
Tumblr media
When I think of my brother in Belgium, I can't help but feel deep sadness. He has been suffering from unbearable anxiety and insomnia since the outbreak of the war. Sleep eludes him at night, and his physical and mental health collapses under the weight of these heavy burdens, negatively affecting his performance at work. Problems and challenges pile up in front of him without the slightest opportunity for rest.
We all feel psychological pressure and extreme anxiety. The war hasn't been limited to external attacks but has deeply infiltrated our daily lives. We search among the rubble for a little safety and the basic resources for survival. Every day comes with a new challenge that we must overcome.
As we sway amidst the rubble of shattered dreams, our souls wrestle and our hearts beat strongly challenging the ravages of war.
Our parents earnestly seek a way to rescue us from this hell, feeling the heavy responsibility for every moment we spend under the shadows of fear and destruction. They dream of a safe place where they can build for us a better future, filled with security and hope, for we deserve life in all its meanings of comfort and peace.
Perhaps this fundraising campaign represents a light in the midst of darkness, it is indeed the only hope we cling to firmly.
I appeal to the world as a whole to hear my cry and the mournful cry of my family in Gaza. We need the helping hand that reaches out to wipe our tears and build a bridge to safety.
Your donation is not just a donation; it's an opportunity to rebuild life and brighten a better tomorrow. Be part of our hopeful story, for we need your hand to start anew.
The purpose of the fundraising campaign
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to rescue my family - my parents, my siblings, and me - through the Rafah Crossing to Egypt, which currently requires $5000 per person. This campaign is our only chance to stay alive, and I humbly request your assistance at this critical time. I will provide you with a comprehensive breakdown of the expenses, committing to transparency and clarity.

Tonight is your date with Eclipse. You were so nervous! It took you twenty minutes to pick something to wear. You kept second guessing yourself. Finally you settled on a long sleeve shirt and jeans. You dried your hair from your shower and got dressed. Hopefully Eclipse would like what you have on.
You decided to fix yourself a cup of lemon beebalm tea to help calm your nerves. A happy sigh escaped you at the first sip. While you did like an alcoholic drink every now and then, nothing could beat a warm cup of tea. You had one almost every night to unwind from the day. It helped you sleep.
About half way through your tea there was a knock at the door "Coming! Just a second!" You set your cup down on a coaster and booked it to the front door "Eclipse! Your a little early? Would you like to come in?"
Eclipse nods bashfully "Ah got you somethin' darlin'."
You close the door behind the two of you "Got me something? Was I supposed to get you something? Shit! I'm sorry! It's been a long time since I've been on a date."
Eclipse pulls you into a hug "Darlin'! It's fine! You don't need ta get me anything. Just you bein' here is enough." He holds up fake forget-me-nots "Ah got you these. Got em plastic so they can't die! There forget-me-nots! It's so you never forget me just like ah'll never forget you."
Don't cry, don't cry, do not cry "Thank you! I know just were to put them!" You neatly lay them on top of your TV "Now I can always look at them!"
Eclipse makes a flustered sound "Oh! Well... Glad ya like em darlin'!"
You grab your stuff "Shall we go handsome?"
Eclipse lets a tiny puff of steam out. You can hear the quiet pft sound. It's a slight boost of confidence knowing you do that to him. He held the front door open for you. You locked it behind you. He even held the truck door open for you. What a charmer!
"So, what kind of stuff do they have at the market?" you ask as Eclipse drives to the Night market.
Eclipse turns the radio down so you two can chat better "Well, they got all kinds of food. Foreign stuff too so we can try a little of everything! Game too. If ya like em. People sell chachkies an' hand made stuff. Might find somethin' nice for your house."
You wave your hands excitedly "Ooo that sounds fun!"
Eclipse chuckles "Glad you're excited!"
The night market was a maze of stalls, lights, music, and smells. The chatter of people filled the air. You could smell the delectable scent of fried treats. A live band played somewhere deep within. The bluegrass pulling you in. If you didn't think this was going to be fun before, you certainly do now.
If Eclipse could sweat, he would be sweating bullets right now as he held his hand out to you "Allow me ta show you around darlin'."
You blushed lightly as you took his hand "Lead the way."
Eclipse leads you past the stalls at the front "The good shops are further in. Are ya hungry?"
You pat your belly "Probably a good idea to eat something. What do you recommend? I don't have any food allergies."
Eclipse hums and puts his hand on his chin "Depends, what kind a food are ya interested in?"
You think for a moment "Something savory and fried."
"Fried huh? Ah know just the thing!" Eclipse pulls you to the right.
The distinct smell of fried chicken and a distinct tang fills your nose "Do I smell... buffalo chicken wings?"
Eclipse pulls you up to a stall where two men are frying chicken at a wok "That you do darlin'. Ya got a good nose on ya!"
You wiggle and make a sound like a squeal miked with a laugh "I love buffalo chicken wings!"
Eclipse beams. Finally her got to see you do that in person and it is every bit as adorable as he thought it would be. An order of ten wings should do the two of you just fine. Plus the thought of sharing food with you gave him sparks along his wires.
He brought both you and the wings over to a table "Ah hope ya don't mind. Ah only got ten wings for the two of us. Ah remember you sayin' ya wanted ta try a little of everything."
You nod "Yes, I did! These smell so good!" You pick a wing up and go to town.
Eclipse smiles fondly for a moment before picking one of his own up "You want any ranch?"
You shake your head and swallow "I don't like ranch. Or any salad dressings really. Same for sour cream."
Eclipse nods "So what got you into vet work?"
You smile sheepishly "I like medicine... People will lie to you, an animal can't."
Eclipse nods "Ah understand. It's why my family an' Ah raise cattle."
You swallow another bit "I like cows. Always wanted a tiny cow. They are like half the size of a regular cow."
Eclipse nods "Sounds cute. Like you."
You smirk "Well, aren't you a charmer! So what's next?"
Eclipse stands up taking the trash to the trashcan "We can go window shopping. Find ya somethin' nice for your house."
You take his hand and let him lead you around. The first stall he takes you to has artwork. Mostly paintings of animals. Nothing really catches your eye. The stall next to it had landscape paintings. You wind up getting two pieces. One for the living room and the other for the bedroom.
As the two of you move from stall to stall Eclipse can't help but wonder what a life with you will be like. What would future children look like? Would you adopt? Would you build one? Do you even want kids? What about last names? Would you take his? OR would he take yours?
Eclipse looks down at you. He must have been lost in thought because you are now holding cotton candy. Happily munching away. Eclipse pulls you a little closer. You lean into him as you two shop at the stalls. Up ahead you can hear children laughing. Carnival games!
Eclipse pulls you to a game designed for animatronics. A precision game of skill. The object of the game is to shoot water as fast as possible into a tiny moving hole. Winner gets a prize. Eclipse sits down with three other animatronics. A racoon, kangaroo, and skink.
You stand beside Eclipse and rest a hand on his back. He goes stiff for a moment before relaxing. A look of determination on his face. The fairy animatronic running the game starts the game. You keep your focus on Eclipse. Watching the small movements in his frame.
Admiring the way his shoulders move when he shifts position. How his tongue sticks out ever so slightly as he concentrates. And the way his brows pull together. You wonder what life with him would be like? So far he seems like a great guy. What kind of future does he see for himself?
Would it match with your vision? Would he want marriage? Kids? No kids? What if you got sick? What if he got damaged? If this relationship goes further should you study up on basic repairs? What kind of below the belt parts is he packing? He identifies as a he, but does he have he parts? Or does he have she parts?
He could even have no parts. Not that it would bother you whatever parts he has. You just don't have a lot of experience with ANY parts, It makes you nervous. No matter what he's packing you will learn how to please him. You let out a squeak as a stuffed snake is shoved into your face.
"Boop! Ah won this for ya! Ah hope ya like snakes." Eclipse averts eye contact nervously.
You take the teal snake "Oh! Thank you! I actually do like snakes! I uh. I was thinking about getting one for my house. I think I want a corn snake."
Eclipse nods "Cute. So ya wanna browse some more or do ya want somthin' ta eat?"
"food. Something.... Asian?" You reply.
Eclipse takes your hand and the two paintings with a nod. He leads you to the back of the market. You can smell soy sauce and chilies. The stall appears to sell Yakisoba. You get two orders of noodles and return to the tables to eat. It smells like magic!
You take a bite and swallow "This has been a wonderful night. I've had a really great time."
Eclipse swallows "Ah'm glad. You are a really nice person. Ah really want this to work with you."
You touch his foot with yours under the table. As the two of you eat you chat about likes and dislikes. Favorite colors, movies, books, and games. Just like your first encounter he drives you back home. Every the gentleman he holds the truck door open for you.
Once again you find yourselves at your front door. Eclipse rubs his arm nervously. He kissed you the first time. You decide to kiss him the second time. He's too tall though. You pull him down by his elbows. Your lips press against his and you hum. It takes a moment for his mind to catch up with itself.
His hand tangles into your hair. One arm around your waist. The other two are gripped by the elbow by you. He lets out a happy hum. His hat falls from his head. Thrown across the yard by his rays wildly spinning fanning you with cool air. You pull him closer with a whine before letting him go.
Eclipse pulls back to see your flushed face. Lips slightly swollen and eyes blown wide with arousal.
You pull him to you one more time capturing into a tight hug "Drive safe! Sleep well. We can talk tomorrow. Have a nice rest of your night."
Eclipse picks you up off of the ground. Tightly wrapping all of his arms around you "Same ta you darlin'. Talk to ya soon. g'night."
You watch as he drives off in his truck. Once the tail lights are gone you go inside for the night. Tonight was the best date you had ever been on.

Decided to do this cottagecore ask game. No one tagged me, I'm doing it by myself just for fun :) And I tag whoever else wants to do it for fun haha
Would you rather live in a lone lighthouse that’s overlooking the grey-cool sea, a little cottage in the woods far off the beaten tracks or an old mansion at the outskirts of town with an overgrown garden?
A little cottage in the woods. A lighthouse is too remote and lonely and I'd be scared of storms. Old mansions with overgrown gardens are almost definitely haunted. Now, a little woodland cottage is likely inhabited by a people-eating witch, but I'll be fine as long as I cook her first.
What kind of marmalade or jam is your favourite?
Strawberry jam! Except pb&j which absolutely must be grape.
Botany aside – which flowers would you keep in the window box under your bedroom window?
I like a profusion of color so many kinds. But lately I'm very into lantana.
What does your ideal picnic look like? Which food would you pack, where would you go, who would you ask to join you etc…
My favorite "picnic" is a summer barbecue, does that count? Lol. For a more picturesque sort of picnic, I'd go hanami-style with lots of cold finger foods. I do like sandwiches but prefer rice balls. Hot tea in a thermos if it's spring, lemonade if it's summer.
Another way I love a picnic is at the beach. Then it's mostly the same but plus fresh corn and watermelon.
What’s your favourite recipe?
Impossible to pick, but I'll go with chili because it's so filling and always delicious. Not a very cottagecore answer lol let's call it "spicy forager's stew"
Which pet would you rather have – a lamb, a cat or a hen?
I love cats, but I'm allergic. Had one growing up who I was find with, but every other cat I've ever met has made me so miserable just by existing. I want one though so I'll have to get some allergy meds. I do like the idea of a hen because fresh eggs. And nekoniwa's chickens are so cute
How would you rather spend a day alone – riding a bike into town to go to the farmer’s market followed by a trip to the library or having a walk in the forest followed by a picnic amongst the trees?
I guess I'm not buying anything at the farmer's market if I'm going directly to the library after and can only carry a little on my bike anyway? I will pick the forest walk because there's nothing to tempt me to buy it and I can just bring a book.
Which season is your favourite? Why?
Autumn. The season of winding down. To me autumn is the wisest and most magical season. I always feel like I've come back home in autumn after a spring and summer of running around. Also I love the holidays.
Would you prefer to live on your own, with inner peace or share your cottage/old mansion/lighthouse with a partner?
My dream is a little house away from town with just me and my partner. But only if my partner were as happy being as reclusive and quiet as I am. I enjoy being alone, but I'd rather have the option of being alone sometimes and together sometimes, which I can only have by living with a partner who has a similar temperament.
Name 5 details from your childhood home that you remember fondly – they could be a scenery, an object, a scent…
Christmas lights out my bedroom window The hole in the fence between my house and my best friend's house Barely being able to see the Fourth of July fireworks over the trees but being too lazy to go down the hill for a better view Smell of my mom's banana bread My uncle playing the spoons at New Year's
Which song(s) would you listen to on a golden-slow morning while making breakfast barefoot in the kitchen?
I wouldn't make breakfast barefoot because I'm terrified of hot oil splashing. The song would be this piano cover of Where Is My Mind
The scent of the forest in the morning, the scent of freshly baked bread or the scent of beeswax candles?
Scent of the forest in the morning wakes me up happy, especially if it's after rain
Would not having a connection to the outside world, except for, say, a landline (so no internet, no smartphone etc) be oppressing or liberating to you?
Sorry I'm so internet dependent ;_; But I'm not sure? I've thought of trying to cut myself off for a little while to see if I focus on other things more. But I don't think I could do it for long.
How do you take your tea or coffee? Which blends do you prefer, do you take sugar, milk, cream, lemon etc. Or, if it’s coffee – do you take milk or sugar etc
Hate hate hate coffee. Just the smell makes me sick. Love tea, pretty much all tea - fruit teas can be a little too sweet for me though. I don't pay much attention to what blends I drink. A lot of green tea, and I don't put anything in that. For black tea I add a little sugar. I love cold unsweetened barley tea in summer but apparently that's made from seeds so it's not a real tea :P
Share a treasured childhood memory!
Camping with my friends and having deep 13-year-old girl conversations late into the night
Would you prefer a garden to be aesthetically pleasing with flowers, decorative ponds and statues or practical, with vegetable patches, bean rows and currant bushes…?
Well, both, if possible, but honestly I'm probably gonna screw up the vegetables... so I should probably stick to flowers :P No statues though. Maybe a bird feeder.
Blue early mornings with dew-glittering grass and birdsong or golden late mornings with buzzing bees and the sun tangled in your curtains?
Impossible to pick, gimme gimme gimme
Which book would you read on a lazy day while rain and wind dance outside?
Jane Eyre
Knitting, embroidery or crocheting?
Can't do any of the above but I sure admire people who can
Name 5 details you long for in your dream home – they could be objects, architectonical features, etc
I really, really, really want a screened-in veranda <3 An attic with a skylight A garden that magically takes care of itself, lol A recessed book nook and/or play area for kids, I loved the sense of being in a "secret space" growing up Fireflies in the backyard

Spite can be a great motivator, and honestly, anything that gets you moving is good. For me personally, I’ve found that spite doesn’t provide much fuel, but it can absolutely be an ignition point.
I’ve got two (currently backburnered) WIPS that I think have the most clear parallels between the thing that made me mad enough to start worldbuilding and the work that came of it.
The first started with Ready Player One. I’m not going to dive into what I didn’t like about that story or why, but I will say I spent a lot of time with friends working through all the holes that...frustrated me. And now I’ve got an untitled cyberpunk story.
I wanted a not-too-distant future, and I didn’t want a full dystopia. I’d like to think as we all shamble forward, we’ll make more gains than we do losses. So not a utopia either. Just the world, where a lot of people still call it a dumpster fire, but it could be worse.
The story happens in a future US that, following a civil war and plague, is no longer a world power (I started working on this in about 2017, and while it initially felt uncomfortably prescient, I think really it was just a case of reading the room. Also, I figured the social structure would need the damage from an actual war in order to crumble enough to fail to stop or control a plague, and well...somehow no matter how little faith I think I have, I can still be let down). It’s set inside and outside an arcology. One character lives outside of it, in a public housing building known as the Hive, where anyone who needs it can have a room, and there are shared bathrooms and showers. There’s supposed to be city-wide internet available to everyone, but the signal inside the Hive goes down a lot.
There are night markets that run almost entirely off barter, and stone soup kitchens that also run off of trade, often food for food. There are rations available, but they don’t take into account allergies and other needs, and the stone soup kitchens help meet needs.
Public schools are available both in person and virtually, and parents and students choose which you attend, which allows allocation of resources that makes schools more accessible (supposedly). Students can provide their own supplies or the school will issue them, and even in virtual school with standardized avatars, it’s obvious who needed school-issued tech.
My main character is struggling her way through virtual school that was supposed to erase any inequities between students, and her best friend in the world lives in the arcology, but they’ve never met in person. She assumes it’s because she’s too poor to be allowed into the private sections of the arcology, but it’s really because her BFF has severe agoraphobia and can’t leave her bedroom and she doesn’t want anyone to know. (She is not, in the course of the story, ever forced to leave her room or ‘overcome’ her phobia, but she does play a crucial role from her room, and they do get to meet.)
The two of them end up semi-accidentally uncovering a plot to plant bombs in several maintenance levels of the arcology, and they have to dig deeper to find who was really going to benefit from this bombing, especially while there’s legislation in the works to essentially allow a company town/indentured servitude system in arcologies.
The other story is tentatively called Magic School Dropouts, and of course it had its seeds in long conversations about Harry Potter. Those started before the author came fully mask off with her hate, but the pieces didn’t coalesce into a world and characters and story until more recently.
There is a magic school in a remote part of the US. It recruits students from both alumni and from regular families who don’t know magic exists (but crucially never from magical families that have never attended the school, which it doesn’t acknowledge exist). It’s unmappable, impossible to find without an invitation, and deeply insular. It teaches its students that practicing any type of magic without graduating is a crime punishable with summary execution, and there’s an extensive network of magic police who track down anyone foolish enough to break magic laws.
That is, of course, a complete lie. But my main character doesn’t know that, nor do most alumni, who are taught to carefully isolate themselves so they don’t ever come in contact with the huge, diverse magic community that does exist and thrive.
While she doesn’t know much of the truth, she does know that bad things happened in that school, and she ran away/dropped out, and she’s been on the run from the school and the magic police ever since.
She meets someone who uses magic and has never heard of this school before. And just as she starts to learn a little about who things really work all around her, she gets a call from her old best friend’s sister. Her best friend dropped out when she did, but she didn’t know her friend was pregnant at the time. She had her baby, tried to go back, and disappeared. Her best friend’s older sister took in and raised her niece, who was later recruited to the same school. The aunt, not knowing any better, let her go, and now the niece needs help, and the main character is the only other person the aunt knows who went to the school and so might be able to find it and help.
What’s really important about these worlds, and about any other story I’ve started that sparked from spite, is that at some point I stopped caring about “fixing” anything about another story that upset me and started building my own world. I found my own characters, and they found their way into their own stories. The spite faded away and love for this new world took its place.
