↪ Day 7: A song that needs to be played LOUD → Remember the Name – Fort Minor
He doesn't need his name up in lights
He just wants to be heard, whether it's the beat or the mic
He feels so unlike everybody else, alone
In spite of the fact that some people still think that they know him
But fuck 'em
In his Fort Minor solo project, Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda made an absolutely incredible song, “Kenji” about his great-grandfather’s experience being sent to the Manzanar internment camp. It includes samples of interviews from survivors. I’ve always considered Mike Shinoda to be my creative idol, and this is one of the reasons that I absolutely love what he does. “Kenji” is unforgettable.
