Love your art work, especially how you draw Obi wan! You draw him so perfect, what is the process of drawing him?

Hm, my process is very much the devil is in the details.

But above all:

Reference pictures.

It all starts with an idea in what situation I want to put Obi-Wan this time. Either clothes, pose, or a movie screencap with an expression where I’m like, oh hell yeah let’s make him cry 🫶

After that it’s figuring out what I actually want to draw and the sketching begins. During which a backstory develops that helps me with the details to ground him more.

For AU deranged Sithywan where he wreaks havoc with evil!Cody, I wanted him evil looking (unlike IGMHC Sithywan where I wanted a sweet smile with the Sith eyes doing all the work for me to make him unsettling). I found a scene in Beginners where he’s rather sweet and bashful looking, and has a slight smile. Good enough.

I changed the eyes so he’s looking in the other direction and up, and then had some more fun fucking him up. So it ended but like this:

After putting more effort into the sketching to actual lineart, I put down base colors. Usually I roughly shade the face so I got some light direction, and then it’s Hair Time. I put hours into his hair. I want it soft and fluffy and I need it perfect.

Once the hair is done, I turn to my first love: shading eyes. It’s just so much fun and if I could get away with it (meaning if I really just stopped in the middle) I’d draw eyes all day long and the rest of the art would be sketch lines and color blobs.

In the end it’s the years and years of experience I’ve gathered that shape the result. The process just happened along the way.

Good spotting! Jack’s tribe has been inspired by druids and their closeness to the natural world. I’m surprised you managed to link them together with how few drawings I’ve made of the au. Their clothing does have a lot to do about the fact that Jack’s tribe is very solitary and isolated, so they don’t get a lot of trading ships passing by. If not hand made, then most of their clothings are hand me downs and altered to fit. They’ll patch up tunics again and again until it looks like bits of fabric sown together to form something tunic shaped. They get very good at embroidering very quickly. The odd errand boy will go to the trading markets every other month for supplies, but other than that, they’ve got everything they need in their island.

I always see posts about people needing a break from Tumblr to escape the toxicity of the sjm fandom (respect, do what u gotta do) but for real that could never be me. It wasn’t easy getting into this system. The ‘Grid’ they called it. He much preferred his original system. The Void. Programs go in, and they don’t come out. If they were lucky, they would evolve. Surviving the horrors that inhabited the Void. But they never came back the same.

Nyxem was made there. Grown there. Changed and molded into what he was today. Even though the User that ran the Void made sure that anything that left it was sanitized. But it always wormed its way out. Attaching just a little bit of himself to an ambiguous piece of code. Easily overlooked. Able to pass through even the toughest anti-virus or firewall.

Apparently the User needed to make another one of her ‘vaccines’ for another system. Didn’t even add him the time! Despite being a genius at what she did, sometimes she was just so naive. Then he was added to an Encom system. It was vast. Had potential. But it was boring. Of course he made a few copies to wreak a bit of chaos. Probably get taken out soon enough, but that comes with the territory. But it was another User that started copying useful programs. Now that was promising.

He hitched a ride and was taken to a closed off system. The Grid. Again, stupid name. This system was absolutely trashed. Barely stable, and with a lackluster security system. Now this was exciting. But it had to be careful. He could be easily found and squished. So it hung around in the unused area around the major hubs. The Outlands. A ghost town called Bismuth was a good place to take root for a while. It had already been taken out by another virus.

Interesting.

Then he made his way to practically isolated city-Gallium. One road in and out? That sure was safe. Nobody would know if a few programs went missing. Nyxem had to survey the area first. Build some backdoors. Corrupt a few files and see what happened. Nothing it seemed. But on one particular cycle as he was slinking around the shadows on the edge of Gallium (where the city met the Outlands), he smelt something.

A virus. In a closed system? Surely not. As it got closer, the more he clung to the shadows. “You come out you know.” He cooed, in that trusting voice. “I won’t hurt you…we’re kindred after all…” Nyxem peered out from under his hood, green eyes looking for whatever hid itself here.

The last part of the loud au is so good. I can't wait for the next part... Like went order 66 to the whole army? Or was it just Cody as a last laugh by Palps; or Obi-Wan gets killed by his favorite clone, or he, or someone else, kills Cody to stop him, which will probably kill Obi-Wan with grief, maybe guilt...

Only Cody got an Order. Not 66. His order is to capture the Jedi Shadow causing Sheev the grief and bringing him to Palps so he can personally take care of him.

In this verse, Obi-Wan is only somewhat on Palp’s radar. He’s not Anakin’s Master but a friend.

Anakin, due to witnessing what happens when a shadow identity is revealed, manages to keep that one secret.

So for Palp’s there’s a Shadow that knows too much too early.

Poor Cody will wake with the mother on all migraines once the chip is put. In his altered state he certainly didn’t pull his punches while Obi-Wan very much did but still did some damage.

one thing I thing I think is weird is how neither jack or Mary met, encountered or heard of each other in any way for 300 hundreds years while both mostly being around the same area. not one book read about the other, no close encounter to each other or their hands work, nothing? I call bull

Hahaha right! They probably passed paths but Jack didn’t have memories yet and Mary was looking specifically for a human soul so they just walked past each other.

Both travel around the world but are in different hemispheres at different times.

After everything is settled down I can see Mary waking up in the middle of the night shaking Jack awake being all “OMG BACK IN 1805 THAT WAS YOU!?! AAAHHHH AND IN 1968 AT THE MARKET AND —“
