FROZEN//FROZEN 2: Lieutenant Mattias replaicing Hans is kind of odd ...
And not just with the merchandise, but also with the promotional material itself:
Not that it was wrong to promote the new character F2 brought us, but the way they used Mattias so heavily really feels like they were trying to fill a "logical hole" Hans left behind, so they had to use a character with similar elements, related more to the formal and royal side of the "demographic", most importantly a man, to "balance" things out (2 female protagonists, 2 sidekicks and 2 main male characters). Still, it's kind of off for me most importantly for two reasons:
1- Mattias is much older than the protagonists (50/60 years more likely)
2- Mattias is a secondary character, with very little to share with Anna, Elsa and Kristoff in terms of actual "narrative weight"
It's not a critic, just a little detail I find strange, that's all ...

Elsa doll description:
Inspired by the Frozen: Winter Festival short-form series, Elsa -- with some help from familiar faces -- is hosting an inaugural Winter Festival to celebrate Arendelle, family and friends! No occasion is complete without the perfect outfit - in this case, a magnificent gown! Inspired by the festivities, the Elsa fashion doll wears a removeable dress with the perfect dose of sparkle and a shimmering, detachable cape with touches of fluffy trim for the snowy season. Kids and collectors ages 3 years and older can discover new memories or recreate cherished moments with the beloved queen. // Inspired by the beloved characters in the Frozen: Winter Festival short-form series, Elsa doll is ready to commemorate a winter celebration worthy of a queen!

So in addition to the recently announced Disney Store collector Frozen 10th Anniversary Doll set, as of just now a Mattel Frozen 10th Anniversary Collector Doll set just got announced, and is up for pre order on Target for $100 (and seemingly a target online exclusive for now).
I think they really Knocked it out of the park on this one, ESPECIALLY with Anna. She's got all the details on her outfit, like the pattern on her gloves, the EVERYTHING on her cape/cloak (including the little cotton balls), and her bangs are on point! Her Braids are a little too huge, but otherwise she's a 10/10 no notes.
Elsa Looks pretty good, and her dress is pretty screen accurate (and might not be a glitter nightmare like the disney store ones). I BIG NEED THIS SET, or at least Just Anna.

FROZEN: Damn, the 2015, the good old times ...
I still remember those confused by seeing Elsa and Hans in the same Doll Set, asking "Shouldn't it be Anna and Hans, instead?" or things like that, but, personally, I think they got the point of the movie as a whole ...
After all, Elsa and Hans arcs are a subvertion of the "Hero vs Villain" dynamic, while Anna and Kristoff relationship takes a "Romantic" route much later in the story.

Progress on my Agustín doll! His nose managed to chip in the meantime since taking a break, so it will have to be blushed again. One good thing about summer winding down is that it is easier to work on these kind of projects.
