Here's a compilation of the banana voice lines from GG2 overture
now I Know theyve probably already been extracted at sound definitions beyond what I can even hear but I just felt like making my own comp. Look at it. Its got my doodles onit.
There is a legitimate "wokeness" problem in media that most people don't want to talk about. One group talks about it, another group takes strawmans and extremes and runs with those in their opposition to those talking about it, and so any reasonable discussion about things like "using a hip-hop beat as the backing track for a dreadlocked black man from Africa (Yosuke didn't even have dreads irl) in Sengoku period Japan is extremely stereotype-minded and is demonstrative of a deep-seated bias the creators hold about people with dark skin, always associating them with hip-hop and dreadlocks." Most people I interact with, this is what their problem is when they talk about "woke culture", not "oh, I sure do hate them womens and minorities" (and it's often women and minorities that have the biggest problem with these things but they're erased by their detractors because they're supposed to have the "right opinion"). There is a bigotry that presents itself as benevolent, that pretends it's not bigotry, and yet it's defined by lower expectations and homogenization of entire groups of people sharing a particular trait. Not being able to reasonably talk about this stuff without someone screeching pushes people away from talking about this stuff and thus making this stuff worse.
guilty gear 2 being a sequel to a fighting game that was inexplicably a musou game is funny, given how that's literally the exact same thing the actual musou games did
