no offense to the general public but when people say catelyn knowing about R+L=J would’ve changed her and jon’s relationship i know they don’t get catelyn’s character.

if ned had told catelyn the truth about jon it would not have made their marriage stronger it would have ruined it. telling his wife he puts jon’s safety above her children’s (which is exactly what he was doing) would put an end to the love in their marriage she would hate him. catelyn would’ve hated jon even more if she knew who he was because he was an even greater danger to her children. ned made traitors of all the starks without even telling them, if anyone ever found out they would have all been executed. she would’ve slit jon’s throat herself and maybe ned’s too

out of the many gripes i have with the game of thrones adaptation, the lack of color in the later seasons is one of the bigger ones bc contrary to popular belief, the medieval ages werent all browns and blacks!! everyone from nobles to commoners wore colors, even if some were more difficult to obtain than others. their clothes werent limited to only furs and dark fabrics they had silhouettes and accessories and dyes and embroidery and pearls and they all wanted to feel pretty just like we do. and each region had their own style too!!! a person from the riverlands shouldnt dress like a person from the reach or the vale or especially essos and if they do there should be a reason! its such a small thing but its something that makes the world alive and for it to be butchered in such a way that i cant tell cersei's sansa's and dany's wardrobes apart in the last seasons is depressing

well, he kinda has to continue to stay in his old apartment. he lives paycheck to paycheck and can't afford to move somewhere else. and even if he and cerelle are now official, he is still too insecure to ask her for help. there is not much he can do right now besides look over his shoulder as he walks home, make sure there is always someone close by, and to keep a tight grip on his phone and keys.

I’ve always been a huge fan of personality typing, and have been a sort of quiet member of the MBTI community.

Let me tell you when I randomly decided to look into enneagram and subsequently tritype theory I descended into a whole new realm of madness.

How does this relate to ASOIAF you ask? Well, ofc, as you do, I spent quite a while on PDB and Reddit, only to discover that some people genuinely take some of the shit that happens in ASOIAF at face value and it irks me to my very core.

Thunder is Approaching

i want to seriously start watching things from my watchlist - do you think it would be a good idea to marathon through all of these (or some of these) simultaneously? the list currently includes:

Warehouse 13 wanted to watch it for ages, finally started a couple years ago but got stuck again somewhere early in season 2 for unknown reasons. has become a little bit urgent now because a tumblr user i follow is gonna watch it for the first time soon and will probably blog about it.

The Dragon Prince i used to love it so much, but somehow still haven't seen season 4 or 5, and at this point have probably forgotten a lot from the first three seasons as well, so i would start at the beginning again.

Game of Thrones listen i know it has major problems, but my interest has awakened anew since one of my favourite reaction channels on youtube has started watching it. i don't even really remember when i stopped watching the first time around (around season 4 or 5 maybe??) i would like to rewatch it and maybe finish it this time, just out of curiosity. and maybe check some fandom wikis or something to find out which things are different in the books.

Avatar the Last Airbender i always put this one off because it feels so important and i want to do it justice. i'm not sure if i should mix it with something else.

any thoughts would be appreciated!

Listen I don’t really like the Targ Dynasty myself (I’m a Stark girlie 🌚🌚) but I just saw an anti say that Robert was right. You do realize that man took the throne not because he cared about saving people from the tyrannical Bad Guy™ evil silver haired people but because he was mad about being cucked by a Targaryen Prince and started an entire Rebellion-War over a girl he probably didn’t even love that much?

Targ Antis have such plot irrelevant takes; I swear half of yall don’t even understand what you’ve watched/read bc the main thing you took away was “dragon ppl bad”? Really?

As a SA survivor is really disrespectful how antis are using experiences of victims (not even their own experiences because obviously they never went through it) to justify their hate towards fictional characters.

I mean, if you actually went through that, you will never waste your energy dragging around this delicate topic and throwing names against someone who doesn’t exists. Daemon is a TV show character behind a screen who acts and lives in the way his world works. How Game of Throne is.

My abusers are living persons who walk around my university and haven’t had any punishment for what they did. And no one has done anything about it. Yet people worry more about Rhaenyra and her fake ass relationship in her fake ass universe.

Do you think I’m afraid of someone behind a TV rather than my abusers? Do you really think i care about an useless activism online made by precious little girls who probably never had to go through what I lived?
