#ISAT Siffrin #ISAT #ISAT Spoilers #TEoRttSA Spoilers #<<Schrano Art>>#Production Techniques not listed this time #They're the same as the previous ones #but better!#Practice makes perfect and all that.#General Production Comments:#Technically much more complex #Changed how the lights work from emissives to point lights.#Had a lot of fun with this one #Couldn't get the image of it out of my mind from the second I read the lines in the fic #Just sorta knew I had to make it real.#I really liked the idea of having the cracks physically manifest for a piece in the same pattern as the King's but more fragmented.#It was fun getting to draw Disguise 2 #I grayscaled actual leather as a colour base for the top.#The colours contrast pretty well in my opinion.#It's fun getting to draw Siffrin in different outfits than their cloak #And also provides me a nice challenge when he's all small like that in the center of the frame.#Not a lot of pixels to work with I'll say that much.#I can't say it enough #I really enjoyed working on this one #It was a blast.

want to give my two cents on the AI usage in the maestro trailer--

i think seventeen doing a whole concept that is anti-AI is very cool, especially as creatives themselves i think it's good that they're speaking up against it and i hope it gets more ppl talking about the issue. i also understand on a surface level the artistic choice (whether it was made by the members, the mv director, or whoever else), to directly use AI in contrast to real, human-made visuals and music in order to criticize it. i also appreciate that they clearly stated the intention of the use of AI at the beginning of the video

however, although i understand it to an extent, i do not agree with the choice to use AI to critique AI. one of the main ethical concerns with generative AI is that it is trained on other artists' work without their knowledge, consent, or compensation. and even when AI generated images are being used to critique AI, it still does not negate this particular ethical concern

the use of AI to critique also does not negate the fact that this is work that could have been done by an actual artist. i have seen some people argue that it's okay in this context because it's a critique specifically about AI, and it is content that never would have been done by a real artist anyway because it doesn't make sense for the story they're trying to tell. but i disagree. i think you can still tell the exact same story without using AI

and in fact, i would argue that it would make the anti-AI message stronger if they HAD paid an artist to draw/animate the scenes that are supposed to represent AI generated images. wouldn't it just be proof that humans can create images that are just as bad and nonsensical and soulless as AI, but that AI can't replicate the creativity and beauty and basic fucking anatomy that's in human-made art?

it feels very obvious this was not just a way to cut corners and costs like a lot of scummy people are using AI for. ultimately it was a very intentional creative decision, i just personally think it was a very poor one. and even if some ethical considerations were taken into account before this decision, i certainly don't think all of them were. at the very least i feel like the decision undermines the message they want to convey

i would also like to recognize that i myself am not an artist, and i have seen some artists that are totally on board with the use of AI in this specific context, so clearly this is not a topic that is cut and dry. but generative AI is still new, and i think it's important to keep having these conversations

my personal advice is a lot of you would have more coherent politics if you didn't wish death on everyone who did "evil things" without ever stopping to interrogate which things are "evil" and why you think that. also though it is not a complete picture of your personality I have a hard time believing in your ability to show compassion when you're chomping at the bit to say certain people should be condemned to die because you hate them so much. can you do some reflection on the evilness of wishing other people would die or is that automatically fine because you only wish death on "bad" people?

examining a seemingly normal image only to slowly realize the clear signs of AI generated art.... i know what you are... you cannot hide your true nature from me... go back where you came from... out of my sight with haste, wretched and vile husk

#BEGONE!!! *wizard beam blast leaving a black smoking crater in the middle of the tumblr dashboard*#I think another downside to everyone doing everything on phone apps on shitty tiny screens nowadays is the inability to really see details #of an image and thus its easier to share BLATANTLY fake things like.. even 'good' ai art has pretty obvious tells at this point #but especially MOST of it is not even 'good' and will have details that are clearly off or lines that dont make sense/uneven (like the imag #of a house interior and in the corner there's a cabinet and it has handles as if it has doors that open but there #are no actual doors visible. or both handles are slightly different shapes. So much stuff that looks 'normal' at first glance #but then you can clearly tell it's just added details with no intention or thought behind it. a pattern that starts and then just abruptly #doesn't go anywhere. etc. etc. )#the same thing with how YEARS ago when I followed more fashion type blogs on tumblr and 'colored hair' was a cool ''''New Thing''' instead #of being the norm now basically. and people would share photos of like ombre hair designs and stuff that were CLEARLY photoshop like #you could LITERally see the coloring outside of the lines. blurs of color that extend past the hair line to the rest of the image #or etc. But people would just share them regardless and comment like 'omg i wish I could do this to my hair!' or 'hair goallzzzz!! i #wonder what salon they went to !!' which would make me want to scream and correct them everytime ( i did not lol)#hhhhhhggh... literally view the image on anything close to a full sized screen and You Will SEe #I don't know why it's such a pet peeve of mine. I think just as always I'm obsessed with the reality and truth of things. most of the thing #that annoy me most about people are situations in which people are misinterpreting/misunderstanding how something works or having a misconc #eption about somehting thats easily provable as false or etc. etc. Even if it's harmless for some random woman on facebook to believe that #this AI generated image of a cat shaped coffee machine is actually a real product she could buy somewhere ... Having parents that love you so much and are so kind to you but are also bigots is so emotionally conflicting like my parents are so so supportive of me and have made it clear they'll continue to love and care for me no matter what (which I'm of course very grateful for) but they also say some very horrible things about trans people and POC sometimes and idk if I can convince them to change their views

I mean yet again my mom's went from being very pro life to being mildly-moderately pro choice so maybe there is hope idk

#I know that their beliefs are definitely a product of their time since they grew up in the 70s and 80s #but i worry that may make it stronger #tw transphobia #tw racism #also i have a family member who's in a relationship with someone of the same gender #and my parents once made a bit of a mean joke about it behind their back #but at the same time both my parents have made it explicitly clear to me that they'd support me if i married a woman #(they talk about me getting married sometimes)#idkkk this is so confusing #my parents are both relatively kind and respectful people in general #i don't think they'd ever ever hurt someone because of their beliefs #but just hearing the little comments they makes sometimes it's ughh #pro choice

ayayayayyaayaka makeup recommendations? idk if you're a big makeup girlie but i've always wanted to tryyyy to get into it! i hate super heavy stuff and i was wondering if you knew of any

hii yes !! tbh the most i wear is mascara, lip gloss, and blush, with the occasional tinted sunscreen. i really like the soft, flushed igari look so i mostly try to find that sort of makeup. general brands i like are glossier, rom&nd, peripera, and canmake.

mascara: ♡ heroine make mascara is my number one! i use their brown mascara for a softer look, but i’m pretty sure they have other colors, too. ♡ the clio kill lash mascara is really good too !

blush: ♡ glossier cloud paint! really pigmented, paint-like sort of blush :3 ♡ the fwee pudding pot ☁️ the texture is really light and airy, and it works well on both your cheeks and lips!

lips: ♡ rom&nd’s glasting melting balm is a rly nice lip balm! expect a lot from this brand in this section ♡ rom&nd’s glasting water tint is a really light formula that stains! ♡ rom&nd juicy lasting tint comes in a ton of different colors and smells delicious 🍎 ♡ peripera’s water bare tint is similar to rom&nd’s glasting water tint in that it’s also light and leaves a stain :3c ♡ peripera ink glasting lip gloss is rly nice and has this gorgeous shade remniscent of cherry cola (06 - made it)

i don’t wear eyeshadow but i do know rom&nd has some nice palettes, and canmake has cute eye glitters as well but their shades aren’t as inclusive. i’m pretty pale for a filipina but a lot of their products make me look ashy. for the most inclusive shade range, check out glossier—their makeup is really light and even on the website they have photos with models of many skin tones. i hope this is sufficient!

Her options were thus: Be a poor damsel, or hopefully be a lucky damsel. Quite frankly, both options offered little comfort to the woman currently face to face with a man who clearly had untoward intentions.

This is the last time she ventures out on her own to a place she'd never been before. She's likely to get herself lost and therefore in trouble. "Sir, if you could please let me go. I've an important errand to run posthaste. It would do no good to impede my path for long." Will anyone come to her aid? She hopes so.
