one piece new chapter not as big as last two but huge to me cus this old man just stirred up a new theory i wont let go of
Tumblr media
hey thats an interesting tattoo is it the mark to traverse the abyss as this new kirin character says?
Tumblr media
Ah could it be that Shanks got his arm bitten off on purpose to remove a mark that can call him or bring Imu and their knights anywhere?
Tumblr media
Cutting a tether to his celestial dragon family and betting any power he has left on the new generation of piracy. An additional reason he hadn't left for the One Piece until now and why he didn't go with Roger, being a liability that can hand a secret over to Imu. Idk anything is possible!!

The biggest little shit you've ever seen
Tumblr media
Also was he just bonking into everything with his eyes covered up for all those years? Did he use sonar like a bat?
He is, in fact, adorable and I will be supporting both his right and his wrongs, feel free to quote me on that 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️!
The reveal that Loki's eye bandages have been a staple of his look since childhood raises dare I say several questions. Here are my current top 3 theories.
Theory #1 - The bandages are purely for aesthetic purposes, Loki put them on himself and there is no deeper meaning behind it [mildly boring let’s not lie]
Theory #2 - the bandages are for training purposes, be it for levelling up his Observation Haki or for just generally getting more in tune with the Underworld [Think Hall of Egress], Loki put them on himself.
Theory #3 - Just another sign of Ancient Giant prejudice. Perhaps he’s got some crazy eyes [Like the Imu ringed ones for example]. The bandages were forced upon baby Loki and he’s never taken them off because deep down he believes what the elder say about him [:(]. If asked Loki would cite one of the first two reasons.
If we go with that last theory (which feels the most likely) Loki could have had these bandages since birth. He might not even really know what he looks like!

Unanswered questions.
Tumblr media
Let me start by saying that I'm really looking forward to seeing Doflamingo appear again in One Piece. Yes of course, I am very interested in what role this charismatic scoundrel will play in the future and in the finale of the whole story. But I’m even more concerned about answers to questions related to the still unsolved mysteries of his past and everything connected with it.
I would really like to know:
• The real reason why the Donquixote family left The Holy Land of Mariejoise 38 years ago (and whether it has anything to do with the God's Valley incident).
• Is the outcome of this incident at all connected with such an incredible difference in the upbringing of the Donquixote brothers and the development of their characters (I recently wrote my thoughts on this matter).
• What exactly did the Homing's family know about the D heritage and the bearers of this initial (in particular, Rocinante, and how this influenced his fateful decision to save little Law at any cost).
• By whom and for what purposes was Trebol sent to Doffy (after all, it is obvious that the Donquixote family simply could not be left alone after their betrayal of the Celestial Dragons). What role did they prepare for him in the hierarchy of the world, and how successfully did he cope with it in the end? Here I would like to recall Trebol’s interesting phrase about Doffy, which Hody Jones also said to himself at one time. That they were chosen by Heaven itself. I wonder who really put these words in their heads? After all, by Heaven one can only mean one thing — the ruling elite.
• Well, we all remember the shackles on the legs of the defeated Trebol. What was that all about?
• To see confirmation that the Donquixote family had indeed been under constant surveillance ever since they moved out of Mariejoise. Confirmation that Doffy was deliberately taken in a timely manner, turning him to the dark side and turning him against his own father. At the same time, they grew a crown of greatness and superiority on the head of the heir to the Donquixote family. At the same time, they did not ignore Roci — after all, how quickly the Marines picked him up after the incident with his father. And it was not just anyone who found him, but Sengoku himself. What was he doing there in the North Blue? How did he end up there at the right time? Complete mysteries. And in general, how did it happen that the brothers were initially separated on opposite sides of the barricades — is it the hand of fate or is it someone’s intention?
• And finally, what the hell is wrong with Doffy's eyes! What has he been hiding under his glasses since early childhood? The consequences of some kind of injury, heterochromia, blindness in one eye, strabismus, or some rare feature that confirms the similarity with the eyes of Imu himself?
In a word, complete mysteries. Unanswered questions. However it will be all the more interesting to find out the answers to them. Of course if Oda sensei considers it necessary to answer them.

I was watching the newest Mom Piece VOD and they were talking about not being sure what the moon symbolism in One Piece actually signifies and that got me thinking and I think I have an idea?
Or at least this is the vibe I've been getting and I'm finally starting to figure out how to put it in words
Firstly, let's talk about chapter 1044:
Tumblr media
The Sun God, the Warrior of Liberation, appears at night, silhouetted against the moon, while below him in the palace, Kozuki ("Shining Moon") Hiyori plays "the Moon Princess" and talks about the Dawn
Tumblr media
Secondly, Pedro and the Nox Pirates in chapter 878:
Perospero: Did you you name the Nox Pirates… to refer to the night? A rather negative connotation to choose!
Pedro: …
Pedro: As they say, there's no night… that doesn't end in a sunrise.
Pedro: To me, Nox is synonymous with… the moment before the dawn.
Tumblr media
So I'm sensing a bit of a theme here:
One Piece definitely has a lot of light-dark symbolism, and light tends to be good while dark is bad. BUT, importantly, the kind of darkness that's bad is the darkness of the void, it's Blackbeard's black hole, it's Imu obliterating an entire island, it's turning an entire century of history into a "Void Century"
And it's also Kurozumi ("Black Charcoal") Orochi covering the sky with smoke (and defeated by Hiyori whose name means "Clear Sky"), which is not really "void" but it's definitely another kind of darkness with heavily negative connotations
The Night (Nox) on the other hand, is not inherently bad. The Night is a natural part of the cycle which will always give way to the Dawn.
And I'm gonna take a little bit of a leap here and say that the Night is not all dark, because it's illuminated by the Moon
Which allows me to actually justify the theory about the D not being a letter but a pictogram of the moon!
This is why I feel like it would be thematically appropriate: think of the D as the light that illuminates the darkness and ushers in the Dawn! Like a moon!
I definitely do think that's the purpose of the 月 (Moon) character in all the names of the major families in Wano (except for Kurozumi). And Kozuki is the primary family because their name has the character for "light" in it (Kozuki meaning basically "Shining Moon") and Hiyori in particular is important because she has both the Moon 月 and the Sun 日 in her name, which I think is why she's one of the very few Wano characters whose name is written in all kanji
(Also yes I still have that crack theory that the 月 is just the Wano spelling of D which preserves its actual meaning)
(I don't actually remember if I've talked about that before on this blog or not)
And speaking of the Nox Pirates: the Minks in general are inherently connected to the moon as well, through their Sulong forms
So all of these moon associations would just be an extension of Pedro's words; the Moon (D or 月 or Sulong) is the Light (光) that illuminates the Night (Nox) which is followed by the Dawn
Teach of course is interesting in that he's a D but also associated with the Void... And he doesn't sleep so arguably he's also associated with the night? idk, we'll see where that's all leading to I guess
I do also really like the idea that the D is a smile, partly just because it's funny but also because it is very fitting for this story

(Spoilers) Theory: Imu is not purposely sinking the One piece world. They actually are trying to delay the problem (kinda).
(Disclamer: im not expert in oceans or climate so maybe it's just nonsense but i think is worth a shot)
Let me explain:
The Lulusia kingdom destruction is being blamed for the rising on the ocean level but what if it wasn't the cause of it but actually some type of solution to the rise of the sea level?
Tumblr media
(Lulusia after being destroyed from chapter 1089)
The destruction of that land created a massive hole that is now being filled with the ocean so shouldn't the level of water decrease after all? But like we saw in wano and water 7 and heard from Vivi in Alabasta and confirmed by vegapunk the water have been rising
Of course the effects of the destruction of Lulusia are felt and it was most likely the earthquake and those things often cause tsunamis that flood lands however what if it was gonna rise anyway and rise even more( Doflamingo said 5 meters at once was all that was needed for most cities to flood) so 1 meter in rising and an earthquake end up being not that bad for the rest of the world in comparison especially if they don't know the goverment destroyed a whole island for that.
But you can say Vegapunk said it was gonna raise only 1 meter but Vegapunk knew the goverment had the weapon to destroy a kingdom he actually created it he probably already knew if only by putting the clues they would use it in a island and because of that the sea was gonna rise only 1 meter.
This would give another reason to why Vegapunk kept working for the world goverment despide knowing how bad they are and even created such dangerous things for them. There was this very real problem of the rising of sea levels he was trying to solve.
This would also explain why Lulusia was destroyed like that when they didn't even know Sabo was there and the goverment didn't save that weapon for another moment like so many people questioned. They couldn't. Lulusia was one of the places that could be destroyed and create a crater big enough and probably in the right location to get flooded and ease the rise to the ocean levels. The goverment probably has the list of islands they are willing to sacrifice most likely the ones who aren't associated with the goverment but location is also important and Lulusia revolution helped for it to be chosen but it wasn't the primary reason. It was to create a space for the rising water to go.
It is probably not the first time neither and perhaps that is why a world map doesn't exist at least that is known because it most likely exist and is in Imu's hands. He use it to choose which place to destroy and create space to settle the rise in sea levels. But no one else can have one otherwise they will know that some islands that once existed don't exist anymore after one of those sessions and the goverment want to erase these places from existence.
There is one Gorosei just for the enviroment St. Marcus Mars. Climate change is in the enviroment category. He must be the responsible for studying this.
Tumblr media
(Chapter 1086)
So Imu is trying to delay the sinking for the whole world. Am i implying they truly care about the rest of the world? No. But i believe they wanted to delay it to keep that a secret until they could get the Celestial dragons to safety. Until then the rest of the world couldn't know because they will only save themselfs but the reason people pay tributes, get into the marines and subject themselfs to the world goverment in general is because the world government is suppose to rule the world giving them a sense of safety( example when they send the marines to stop pirates). So what would be safety for the celestial dragons? Getting out of the sinking planet. They would go to space and create a new City there.( A parallel to what some people want to do in our world) That's why the latest fashion for Celestial dragons is astronaut like gear that keep air for themselfs so they get used to it.
That's why the Gorosei are so hesitant about destroying Egghead and the mother flame because all of Vegapunk inventions are suppose to serve them in their new space city especially the mother flame that would be their energy source. I guess the fact Vegapunk is inspired by the ancient kingdom that was very advanced also play a part in this. Imu must be from that era i guess they are trying to create that type of advanced society again with the celestial dragons in space.
Other question is why the world climate is so crazy is this just the planet or human interventions even not on purpose were responsible for shaping the planet to what it is today and even continue to do. Besides the destruction of Lulusia there is other examples like Punk hazard climate was created after a fight between Akainu and Aokiji, Oars was known for moving pieces of land. A more recent exampld could be the result of 2 giants Big mom and Kaido being send to the depths of the One Piece planet I think it will have consequences for the planet. It can always be a mix of both the one piece planet is weird and have weird weather but all humans interventions also helped.
Other question is are humans native of the One piece planet? If they aren't it would be another reason to leave the planet and a reason to believe you are different from fishman in their heads superior. Maybe the fishman are the true natives of the One Piece planet as they seem to be capable of living on thevocean and on land( a lot of them have feet and even mermaids get legs after a certain age ) but were driven to only live at the ocean after humans arrived and started to put them as inferior and occupied the land. Maybe a reference to how a lot of Indigenous communities used to live close to the beaches in Brazil (where Luffy is suppose to be from if he was in our planet) but they were driven further and further into the countryside after colonization because the beaches were occupied by colonizers to the point that nowdays brazilian indigeneous communities are more associated with the Amazon forest.
Also if the one piece planet weather would just be weird like that it would fit with weird weather we hear about in other planet in our own solar system so another clue this is not their native planet and would make more sense that the fishman are the natives not the humans because being capable of diving at any moment and live underwater would solve a lot of problems the weird one piece weather could cause to survival.

I'm having lots of Shanks being a Figarland ideas and just:
what if Garling purposefully placed Shanks in the chest for Roger to find, knowing Shanks has a greater purpose in life than being a Celestial Dragon and he wouldn't be able to achieve it if he was stuck being a World Noble
what if his mother, hating Garling and everything the Celestial Dragons stand for, placed Shanks in the chest to give him the best chance possible in living a life away from the horrors the Celestial Dragons inflict upon others
Shanks being found by Roger but always wondering about his biological parents and deciding to find them post Roger's execution
Shanks knowing about his family and his heritage all along and being aware that he would be Luffy's final obstacle, but not in terms of who would get to the One Piece first, but in terms of getting rid of Imu and becoming the new world sovereign, therefore standing in direct opposition of the new generation of pirates trying to establish a new world order (probably makes no sense but I'm working on it. also EVIL SHANKS anybody?)
So uh, if anybody writes Garling or if anybody's interested in any of these, my fingers are itching to delve into these because yes. That's it. That's the reason. Just yes.

Maybe this is just a flight of fancy - but your post about Kuma just made me think about how One Piece just abandoned it's more dialectical, for a lack of a better word, direction - instead of a tyrant being somebody who in the irony of history leads to revolutionary change, ala Napoleon, Nobunga, Cromwell or even Ghenghis Khann - he instead must be just a martyr - and not a Jesus, because a Jesus turns tables over and is not allways "nice", but just a caricature of some "Nietschean" "slave morality".
This can just be seen with how Luffy more and more turns from the amoral (not imoral) free spirit that never wants to be a hero and just liberates the world by his self consiousnes dominating the stagnatn oppresion, into a generic saviour, destined by literal prophecies that are fulfilled to the T, and not just by the end of history more abstractly - like hell somebody noticed how "the will of D" was basically overshadowed with the Nika stuff - from smiling because you are content and know that history will redeem everything, to just smiling because it is the magic system in a very boring and surface level way...
So yeah, even if my ideas may sound strange I'll finish that I agree - Kuma was kinda changed from a charachter that was introguing into one that may be more sympathic but ultimately less interesting - a mirror to the Gorosei, who were a human yet poignat critique of real politiks turning people into monster, who go against their compasion, that did destroy Ohara even thought they didnt want to out of a twisted "duty", into the saturday morning literal demons that call people "insects" - and as the devil that tortures souls in hell isn't really evil, so isn't an anti-semitic caricature that has a paralyzing stare - as "evil" as King Geedorah or Godzilla, just a rubber monster, not the evil in all our hearts...
Eh, i agree with some, disagree with some of the other things.
One thing i do disagree with, is the idea that the gorosei being pure evil is a problem. It's not, it's only a problem if all of them are the exact same in personality as Saturn.
The problem with Saturn is not the fact that he's pure evil, and like the rest of the celestial dragons he has a god complex, it's that he's boring.
Tumblr media
He's just an evil asshole, who is pure evil, and frankly, his actual main purpose seems to be introducing the magic system that his side has hoarded for themselves, so that we'll have had a taste of it by the time the final conflict takes place.
The problem with Saturn is that there isnt much to him. What glimpses we see from the rest of his circle is that the rest of the gorosei have actual real opinions on the world that is in some part based on good intentions, or at least an appeal to the greater good. By contrast Saturn is just a Celestial Dragon with actual power behind him. no more, no less.
and there are ways to make that sort of characters compelling.
the youtuber Lowart, during his retrospective on the archie sonic comic breaks down pretty well how the Brotherhood of guardians from that franchise are quite frankly assholes... but it's the most extreme member of this extreme group, Locke, who is the most compelling character of the bunch, speciffically because he has been molded by his groups century's long ideology into becoming who he is. the logical end result, of a long line of extremism, who believes that the ends justify the means at any cost... and then explores how this completely ruined his, his wife's and his sons lives.
By contrast saturn is just an asshole, who does assholish things, because he is an asshole.
also as for him being an antisemetic charicature, his devil fruit is clearly a gyuki-oni, a demonic, bovine spider monster from japanese legends.
Tumblr media
They really do look like that. they have been a part of Japanese folklore LONG before they even knew jews existed.
Tumblr media
By sharp contrast, to saturn, while Imu hasnt been fleshed out in full yet, it's very clear that the monarch of the world has a much more distinct personality, with hopes, dreams, and has very distinct reasons to hate the people he/she does... but you also get the sense that Imu is a very lonely individual, who despite hard words, very clearly misses Lili, and seems to see Vivi as some form of getting to do things over again.
In other words, an actual character, as opposed to Saturn's Im fucking evil guys! look at me! im EVIL!!!
Tumblr media
No in terms of good and evil, the larger problem is that the world government's opposition has lost as lot of their greyness as the story went on.
Dragon was a man who's actions was portrayed as a lot more grey than Kuma, a man who didnt mind his son becoming a pirate so long as he actually went out to see how the world was for himself, who talked nonchelantly with his subordinate about having brutually toppled a regime in a coup in their quest to destroy the world government.
There was a sense that he was on the right side of this war... but that he had no problems with shedding blood to get the war done.
Now this trait hasnt exactly been removed, but the way the manga portrays Dragon and his faction's actions has. Now rather than a bloody conflict with lots of intentional civil wars, post time skip it's portrayed more by relatively bloodless coups that doesnt kill that many people.
just look at kuma's flashback, where the king of sorbet was removed twice, and came back a third time, all because dragon didnt have him executed the first time.
The fact is, Oda did not need to make this conflict one of black and white, and it didnt have to become that, even as we saw the true, irredeemable evil at the WG's top.
I think the single biggest showcase of what a bad idea this was, is that Oda could have used the revolutionary army's raid on mariejois as a massacre, where they freed the slave, but also put as many world nobles to the sword as possible. as it is, it makes no sense for them not to do so while at the heart of their enemy's homebase, other than that this would have made them look very, very brutal.
Tumblr media
and yeah, im not a fan of nika, or how it overshadows The Will of D.
The powerset of gear 5 is actually great, but It did not need some grandiose backstory that connects Luffy directly with the previous great figure.
I disagree though that luffy himself has become some savior hero. On the contrary, luffy's main storyline post timeskip is how he keeps dedicating himself to assassination plots against his political rivals, on his way to become pirate king.
That is the actions of a pirate, not a hero.
The problem is the fact that due to Nika, now he is entangled to become the next joy boy, not due to his own, personal qualities, but instead due to the devil fruit he ate... which is so much less compelling, and in turn makes Whitebeard denouncing Blackbeard as not able to suceed roger despite his name, as much less compelling.

I am an autistic stereotype
The queensland rail currently has eight models of carriages in rolling stock (aka active). The NGR700 (New Generation Rollingstock) is the most easily identifiable, mainly because they’re new (built 2015-2019) and are relatively free of graffiti, however their high backed seats and sleek exterior are also very distinctive. They have a top speed of 140km/hr and number at 75 units, making it the most common unit type. They are my current favourite for comfort and long distance travel due to their high backed chairs (no one reading over my shoulder!), cleanliness, better than average soundproofing and toilets in each carriage. I am not a fan of their accessible carriage however, as the inwards facing seats make me travel sick and I much prefer to be facing the direction of travel (or backwards if I must).
The oldest model still in use is the EMU (electric multiple unit, although I think someone had fun with the acronym to get there) and was built 1979-86 and is currently being slowly retired from active use following the introduction of the NGR, however there is no current end date for their operation. Their seats are more bench like in design, with the distinction between the two seats marked by a small rise and a seam within the fabric in the middle. The accessibility seat handles are square and set on the outer side of the top of the seats and utilise handles instead of buttons for opening doors. They are easily identifiable by these strange cage looking stalagtite like things in the middle of the carriages that are meant to be used as handles during busy periods. They have a top speed of 100km/hr, currently number at 28 active units, and are my second favourite in terms of aesthetics.
The rest of the active stock can be divided into IMU (Interurban Multiple Units) and SMU (Suburban Multiple Units) type models. Despite the names, both types of models can be seen on regional lines however IMU models are subtly different in their design, allowing for more comfort in long distance travel as they are fitted with larger seats, luggage racks and accessible toilets.
The SMU200 was built from 1994-95, has a top speed of 100km/hr and currently numbers at 12 units. They were built due to a rolling stock shortage of the EMU’s. The seats themselves are very similar to the EMU’s, bench like and with the same handle configuration.
The IMU100 was built 1996-97 and currently numbers at ten units and has a top speed of 140km/hr due to its intended purpose of interurban travel. The seats are higher backed than the SMU200’s and their seat handles are positioned on the upper corner of the seats. Post refurbishment they also have a subtle geometric purple or blue seat fabric, however the IMU105 retained the green-blue ocean themed seat fabric and I would absolutely love to travel in it one day.
The SMU220 is almost identical to the SMU200, however the aircon configuration is apparently different. They have a top speed of 100km/hr and were built 1999-2001 and currently have 30 active units.
The IMU120 I think might tie for first with the EMU as my favourite unit for aesthetics. They entered service in 2001, have a top speed of 140km/hr and only four units are in operation today! The IMU120 was one of the first units I rode in when I was starting to learn to identify the differences between units and it was both a very lucky find due to its relative rarity and distinctive design. The seats of the IMU120 are shoulder height but feature cushioned ‘head rests’ that aren’t found in any other model.
The SMU260’s and IMU160’s are almost identical in design, with separated seat cushions and seat handles that I can only describe as cat ear like, attached at the corner with a high arch. Both have a top speed of 130km/hr and finished production in 2011, however the IMU160 started production in 2006 and currently numbers at 28 units while the SMU started in 2008 and currently numbers at 36 units.
I would include a table with a summary of this information but i don’t think it’ll copy and paste well
*absorbs the information* i swear to god if i was half as good in my actual studies as i am remembering random information i would be a god.

The 2024 Africa Twin: A True Adventure Machine
Tumblr media
Honda's iconic Africa Twin receives significant updates for 2024, enhancing its performance and versatility for adventure riders.
The Africa Twin has long been synonymous with adventure riding, capturing the spirit of exploration and offering riders the confidence to venture further. With the release of the 2024 models, Honda has taken this legendary motorcycle to new heights. The standard Africa Twin and Adventure Sports versions have undergone significant updates, making them more specialized and capable than ever before.
From enhanced off-road performance to improved on-road handling, the Africa Twin lineup offers a wide range of options for riders seeking thrilling adventures on any terrain.
Since its in 1988, the Africa Twin has been a symbol of "True Adventure" in the ADV riding world. Inspired by the NXR750 and NXR800 factory racers that dominated the Dakar Rally in the late 1980s, the Africa Twin created a new market and became a global hit. After a hiatus, the Africa Twin made a triumphant return in 2016 with the CRF1000L, and has since garnered a dedicated following of adventure enthusiasts.
youtube
A Legacy of Adventure
The Africa Twin's history is steeped in adventure and off-road prowess. The original XRV650, introduced in Europe in 1988, was based on the NXR750 and NXR800 racers that conquered the Dakar Rally. It quickly gained popularity and evolved into the XRV750 in 1990, selling over 73,000 units before being discontinued in 2001.
In 2016, Honda revived the Africa Twin with the CRF1000L, offering it in both European and American markets. The following year, the Adventure Sports version joined the lineup, catering to riders seeking a more touring-focused experience. The Africa Twin has since become a staple in the adventure riding community, known for its rugged durability and versatility.
What's New for 2024
The 2024 Africa Twin models receive a host of updates and refinements, enhancing their performance and capabilities. Adventure Sports versions now feature a 19-inch front wheel and shorter suspension travel, optimizing on-road handling and maneuverability. Tubeless tires, previously exclusive to Adventure Sports versions, are now fitted on the standard versions as well, providing convenient repair options without removing the wheel.
The 1,084cc twin-cylinder engine generates stronger power and torque in the low- to mid-rpm range, thanks to a higher compression ratio and updated ECU settings. The Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) has also been improved for smoother engagement at low speeds. Both standard and Adventure Sports versions receive updated electronic settings, a redesigned intake/exhaust layout, and revised styling, making them even more capable and appealing to adventure riders.
Design and Styling
The design of the 2024 Africa Twin models has been refined to enhance their performance and aesthetics. The standard Africa Twin features a slim, compact shape with a redesigned front fairing and rear seat, improving its off-road capabilities. The Adventure Sports versions receive a new front fairing that optimizes aerodynamics and wind protection, as well as a thicker and more comfortable seat.
The Adventure Sports versions also come with a smaller 19-inch front wheel and reduced suspension travel, lowering the bike's center of gravity and improving on-road handling. Both versions maintain the Africa Twin's iconic look while incorporating modern design elements.
Electronic Technology
The 2024 Africa Twin models are equipped with advanced electronic technology to enhance the riding experience. Throttle-by-wire and a six-axis Bosch IMU provide precise control and enable features such as cornering ABS and traction control. The Africa Twin's 6.5-inch TFT LCD touch panel display offers customizable screen arrangements and is compatible with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, allowing riders to connect their smartphones for navigation and communication purposes.
The Adventure Sports versions also feature three-stage cornering lighting for optimal illumination during different types of corners. With these technological advancements, the Africa Twin offers riders a seamless and connected riding experience.
Engine and Drivetrain
All versions of the 2024 Africa Twin are powered by a 1,084cc water-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers strong power and torque. The engine has undergone improvements, including a higher compression ratio, optimized ECU settings, and an updated muffler design. These enhancements result in increased performance and improved driveability across the rev range.
The Africa Twin is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or Honda's innovative Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). The DCT version offers seamless gear changes and can be operated in automatic or manual mode, providing riders with the flexibility to choose their preferred shifting style.
Chassis and Suspension
The Africa Twin's chassis and suspension have been designed to handle a wide range of terrains and riding conditions. The steel semi-double-cradle frame provides optimal rigidity and flexibility for challenging situations, while the aluminum swingarm ensures rigidity and lightness. The standard Africa Twin models feature fully adjustable front and rear suspension, with long-travel Showa forks and a Pro-Link® rear suspension system.
The Adventure Sports versions are equipped with Showa Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment (EERA™), which adjusts damping based on bike speed, stance, and fork behavior. This high-tech suspension system allows riders to customize their suspension settings for different riding scenarios, ensuring optimal comfort and performance.
Brakes and Safety Features
The 2024 Africa Twin models are equipped with advanced braking systems and safety features to provide riders with confidence and control. Dual front 310mm petal-style floating rotors and radial-mount four-piston calipers deliver consistent stopping power, while the rear rotor features a petal design for efficient braking. The ABS system is designed to adapt to different riding conditions, with separate modes for on-road and off-road performance.
The system utilizes information from the IMU to detect rear-wheel lift and adjust braking pressure accordingly. Riders can also switch off the rear ABS for more precise off-road braking. Additionally, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) helps optimize acceleration performance by providing smooth slide control and wheelie control.
Accessories and Customization
Honda offers a wide range of accessories for the Africa Twin, allowing riders to customize their motorcycles to suit their preferences and riding style. From aluminum luggage to higher and lower seats, there are options to enhance comfort, storage, and functionality. Honda also offers accessory packs, such as the Rally Pack, Adventure Pack, Urban Pack, and Travel Pack, which provide a combination of accessories tailored to specific riding needs.
Whether riders are looking for added protection, increased storage capacity, or improved touring capabilities, the Africa Twin's accessories allow for endless customization possibilities.
The 2024 Africa Twin lineup represents the pinnacle of adventure riding, combining Honda's rich heritage with cutting-edge technology and performance. With updates and refinements across the board, these motorcycles offer unparalleled versatility and capability on any terrain. Whether riders are tackling off-road trails, exploring remote landscapes, or cruising on scenic highways, the Africa Twin delivers an exhilarating and unforgettable riding experience.
With its legendary status and the latest advancements, the Africa Twin continues to inspire riders to push their boundaries and embark on new adventures.

Oda Leaked ALL Of The Gorosei Devil Fruits & YOU Missed It!
youtube comments
Not be like all "um actually" but spiders are arachnids not insects. They eat insects which gives your theory more depth since he refers to them all as insects.
My theory
IMU, devil fruit or not, is a “mara” from mythology. An old “celestial” entity that’s jealous of true gods. Oda might be playing off the lore of Shin Megami Tensei. There’s lots of parallels there. Additionally look at the forms of Mara in mythology and in Shin Megami… The traditional depiction of Mara has similarities to tot musica. The Shin Megami version is a “worm” like form with tentacles, which will surely make you laugh. In the traditional depiction, Mara has 5 floating skulls around his neck or head area (elders). Mara in both forms here, rides a massive elephant that is “cursed”(Zunesha). In Norse mythology there is also a creature called “Mara”. This creature causes nightmares…The Spanish word for “sea” is “mar”
Thank you I’ll be here all week
PS: Mary Geoise = Mara Jo, which means Mara Castle. Just maybe Pangea is based on Himeji Castle, which is inhabited by a yokai that HATES humans… the more you know
The people who summoned Brook were trying to summon Satan, but Satan sounds very similar to Saturn. Maybe those people saw Saturn summon himself like this and tried to summon him themselves by recreating the conditions they saw and calling (what they thought was) his name.
I think Imu is going to be a fish fish model ningyo, their meat is said to make people immortal (it's actually eternal youth but the power can be twitched as oda did with Saturn's ability to make heads explode instead of what the legends said about Ushi Oni) which can be a reason why Imu and the gorosei are so ancient and the devilish tail we saw could be an actual mermaid's tail, it just looks different on purpose, like Ushi Oni's shadow sillhouette when Sabo saw itShow less
In regards to Gorosei Venus I believe he has the powers of the Yume No Serei a lesser known Yokai whom takes on the appearance of an old man with exposed ribs and wears a white robe and can generate nightmares I believe this matches up with Venus except that Oda has used his artistic flare to give Venus defined abs instead of ribs.
Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro Yokai: Yasha Yasha are race of powerful high ranking spirits in Buddhism. They are fearsome warriors, and serve as the guardians of the treasures of the earth. A fitting role for the Warrior God of Finance

They have a different fabric patterning to most other units, with bolder geometric lines reminiscent of train lines over a purple background instead of the subtle purple geometry of other units.
They were built due to a rolling stock shortage of the EMU’s and are one of few units to not have purple seat fabrics (post refurbishment), instead having blue fabric of a similar design.
Post refurbishment they also have a subtle geometric purple seat fabric, however the IMU105 retained the green ocean themed seat fabric and I would absolutely love to travel in it one day.
The SMU220 is almost identical to the SMU200, however the seats are purple and apparently the aircon configuration is different.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my train infodump!🚈 here’s a biscuit for making it to the end🍪
Wow, this is more than I ever thought I'd learn about trains! It's pretty clear that a lot of this is from your own personal experience, which is awesome! My own train riding experience is limited to the Seoul Metro and the greater Korean high speed rail network (specifically to Busan). I don't remember how fast it went exactly, but as an American who basically never rode public transport before going to Korea, I liked it a lot. It was very convenient and low cost compared to a similar system in the US. I wish the train here was faster and less expensive. Korea really knew how to do public transport, and it's one of the things I miss about Korea the most! (besides the food, of course)
