Hi everyone! I created a mod that increases the amount of Simoleons earned when blackmailing a celebrity Sim or a Sim with a specific career! This mod also adds moodlets to the blackmailed Sim and the Sim doing the blackmailing and new notifications from the sim that was blackmailed. I think it is more realistic for Sims to pay more money based on the prestige of their celebrity status or their career. I also think it is more realistic for the blackmailed sim or sim that has done the blackmailing to have a reaction with a moodlet.

📩 Increased Blackmail Payouts Based on Career and Celebrity Status

This mod changes the amount of Simoleons received based on specific careers or celebrity status of the Blackmailed Sim. This happens when Blackmailing Sims with the Listening Device, Snooping, and Wishing Well. The Sim blackmailing and the Sim that is being blackmailed will now also receive a moodlet.

Evil Sims will receive a unique moodlet from blackmailing Sims.

Friends will receive a unique moodlet when blackmailed.

Villareal Household: Chapter 4, Part 6

Luna has figured out why she's having trouble bonding with her sons. Luckily she has a wonderful wife whose constantly cheerful attitude can brighten the day. Her sons have definitely inherited Devin's drama skills.

TW Deals with postpartum depression

In this part Devin and Luna work on not putting too much on Luna's plate, too bad the twins can't understand the assignment. The boys are dramatic (they're teething who can blame them) and Devin completes her first movie gig as the star actress.

p.s. If you're wondering wtf some of the words they say are, and like google translate like I do, Devin is Italian, Luna is German, and the infants only speak garble atm

Postpartum depression. The reason Luna has been feeling like an inadequate mother, had trouble bonding with her sons and gets easily upset when the boys get over emotional. No depression is solved overnight but knowing what is affecting her will help her and her family cope with the speedbump.

Rilian: ba nu do

Alfred: *snores*

Rilian is awake first and annoyed Alfred is still sleeping. He spots the bigfoot toy and has a sulk about not reaching it.

Devin: Buongiorno caro

Rilian: ga la doo

Scooping him up Devin begins feeding him while Alfred wakes

Luna: This is so dirty

Luna has a lecture she needs to prepare for so makes use of the hallway mirror. Meanwhile Devin puts both boys down in the lounge. They get themselves sleeping and she watches over their naps while knitting. Knitting helps focus her before heading to set.

Social media updates, check. Hair and make up, check. Costume, check. Practice lines till she's feeling confident AF, check. Devin is on set for Melodies of the City. It's her first movie gig and we're pretty excited about it. If she gets gold that will be her lifetime aspiration complete.

Devin: You're Levi right

Levi: In the flesh

Devin: I'm-

Levi: I know who you are, who do you think hired you

Devin: I just want to thank you so much for this opportunity

Levi: You've earned this. Your death in Residency of the Heart left me in tears

Heading to the food Devin takes a moment to call and check in on Luna. It's a little hard to hear her over the noise on set but she sounds okay

Devin: I went to the toilet and when I went to put my costume back on it changed to this

Emily: Watcher help us

Devin: Oh gosh did I miss anything

Levi: You're right on time, we're about to start

Pearl: Places everyone!

Levi: You all have the skills... let's commit them to film!

It is raining inside and Devin is freaked out about what it will do to her hair, until she remembers she's in a wig. She tries to ignore the water and launches into the first dance sequence, tiktok eat your heart out! She has a few scenes with her first costar, launching herself fully in to the hug.

Next up, her first solo song. Despite her initial trouble finding the rhythm, she manages to keep on beat for the sequence.

Connor: Nice job

Devin: Aww schucks

Connor: They've made me blonde again

Devin: I saw, what's wrong with the brunette

Connor: Not leading man style I guess

Devin: Unbelieveable

After her first lot of scenes with Connor, Devin has another dance sequence to complete. It's a good thing she's confident as all eyes on set are on her! She follows the music, nails her moves, and throws in a few extra to be fancy. Dance achieved!

Connor: Ready to flirt up a storm

Devin: Born ready

ACTION

Devin and Connor begin the scene, infusing their characters with romance and chemistry. When it came to the kiss Devin took the lead, something she and Connor had decided would work earlier. From the claps in the studio, they were right.

Levi: That's a wrap everyone!

Devin: Must not forget the selfie

Connor: *sighs*

Devin: Cheer up. You were good in that

Connor: Why wont they let me be my natural colour

Devin: One day mate, now get in the frame

Connor: The lights are off

Devin: Who cares, we're documenting this achievement

The day is done and the results are in. Devin scores gold for her acting in this film. She has achieved her Master Actress aspiration!

Devin: Lu I did it

Luna: I knew you could

Devin: I just have to get out of costume then I'll be home

Luna: We can't wait to see you, can we *distant infant noises*

Following dinner it's more tasting time for the boys. Rilian likes carrot and Alfred loves it! Then I commit the worst crime, I feed them applesauce. They dislike it, I am an abomination! How did these boys get Devin's drama already? After the utter betrayal it's cuddles and time for bed.

Luna: Night night darlings

Devin: Time for sleep for you two and your floppy hair

Luna: Your ma came over

Devin: She did

Luna: She took the boys to the park while I studied, it was nice

Devin: That's good

Luna: Did you mention my-

Alfred and Rilian are now infants. Luna carried them and is feeling run down after the experience

In this part Luna finds it difficult to bond with the boys, the family have a park trip, and Devin shoots her next acting gig which is all kinds of bizarre.

With both Alfred and Rilian asleep the women can head to bed.

Devin: Come here amore mio, you did so well today

Luna: You don't think our guests minded my pumping

Devin: Anyone that minded would have been told to leave

Luna: You did well to

Devin: I did didn't I. I'm parenting level 3 already, I'm amazing

Luna: I wish I had your confidence

Devin: Maybe some of it can rub off on you

Luna: I'm too sleepy to woohoo but thanks for the offer

Devin: Now you mention it I might be a bit tired

Luna didn't sleep long before being able to pump. Afterwards she set about planting the new seeds from the Harvestfest gnomes. Alfred is the first twin to wake up but both boys wake up happy.

The boys need their diapers changed. Luna and Devin take turns using the changing table. When they're not dodging waste they're playing with the toys on the playmats. Both Rilian and Alfred seem fascinated by the toys.

I present a 4 act tragedy. First act, Rilian unlocks reaching but cannot reach. Second act, Alfred unlocks reaching but cannot reach. Third act, Alfred is put in his crib while gassy. Fourth act, Rilian pees on Devin. It's a tough 4am. Luckily Rilian has the Self Soother quirk.

Devin and Luna manage to catch a few more hours of sleep before getting up. I forgot to check the garden when I relaunched the game so of course half the plants are glitched.

Devin: Morning Lu

Luna: Hey Devin, did you see the plants

Devin: What about them

Luna: Some seem to have reverted, so weird

Devin: Who wants some tasty formula for breakfast

Luna: Sorry I couldn't get milk schnucki

Devin: Alfred doesn't mind do you buddy

Luna: Rilian does

Devin: Maybe he just has one of those faces

Luna: They're identical and Alfred doesn't have a natural pout

Devin: Well mama has a plan to cheer everyone

Eventually Alfred manages to fall asleep to Luna's relief.

As the boys nap Devin gets in her daily workout and boosts her follower number. Luna works on a scholarly paper. Being a professor she has academic commitments to keep up with despite family leave. She takes a break to pump and notices the dust piles. Vacuuming she feels herself becoming a neat sim.

When the boys wake up it's dinner time. Devin feeds Alfred then has some tummy time while Luna looks after Rilian.

Devin: Picollo mio I know being small is hard

Alfred: *WAILS*

Devin: You can already turn in one direction, that's halfway there

Alfred: *WAILS*

Devin: We seem to have hit a roadblock

Luna: How about you Rilian, are you also blocked

Devin: Are you sure you'll be okay while I'm at work

Luna: Yes

Devin: And if you need help-

Luna: I'll call their nonna, don't worry

Devin: Until later bambinos

Honeydew Houses (furnished)

It's been 84 years, but I finally finished furnishing my Britechester apartment building(s). Yes, I can hardly believe it myself.

Honeydew Houses, in the heart of the old town, offer six units with different layouts, decorated in different styles. There's a small shared laundry room on the groundfloor, and the apts. include:

Seven Bedrooms - Six Bathrooms in total (so one bedroom - one bathroom per apartment, only the one on the first floor has two bedrooms)

Playtested (I found two minor issues which I decided to ignore for the sake of the backstory and/or aesthetics, and a bigger one that drives me insane but I don't know how to fix; more info under the cut)

Heads-up: this build might be a little bit heavy on older pcs as it's very cluttered and detailed. The file size is ca. 503 KB, so pretty high for a 20x15 lot, and my laptop was taking ages to load when I placed the build in a new save for some last playtesting, so please keep that in mind and make sure to save your game before adding it (and bulldoze the lot before you do), just in case. Sorry for the inconvenience!

As you can tell from the list of packs, I haven't used For Rent for this as I don't have this expansion yet, so the apartments technically aren't separate units. I just added all the tenants as one household and assigned them their apts. by locking the other doors; or you could of course play around with the roommate system as well, or turn the apts. into proper rental units if you own For Rent.

Known Issues (I'm sorry, I know these explanations shouldn't be that long...)

In the grungy basement apt., the access to the right side of the bed is blocked by the punchbag. Sims can still get into the bed from the left side without problems. Because I had intended the apt. to be for one single sim anyway and it was more important for me to keep the punchbag, considering the hobbies and backstory of this sim, I decided to just go with it. But if you want to move two sims in, you'll either have to make one of them scoot over in the bed or delete the punchbag.

In the caretaker's apt. on the groundfloor, sims can't remove dirty dishes from the dining table. Otherwise sims can interact with that table perfectly fine (they can sit down and eat, do homework, read etc.), they just can't take dirty dishes from the table. This is apparently caused by the decorative shelf in the corner because its footprint slightly overlaps the one of the table. Easiest fix would be to either completely delete the shelf or just move the table away from it. However, because moving the table away from the wall looked a bit weird, and in my gameplay, I tend to just manually drag the dirty dishes into the sink anyway, I decided to ignore it.

The Interrupted Cooking Interaction in Basements Desaster Yeah. I basically made a whole post about this, but to sum it up, there seems to be a general issue where sims refuse to autonomously complete a cooking interaction in the basement when there are other cooking opportunities (=stoves, counters) available on the lot. If you play this build with the locked doors method, like me, and you want your sim to cook in one of the basement apts., they will take out the ingredients from the fridge, then behave as if the stove/counters were blocked (although I made sure they're accessible) and put the ingredients down. If you then click on the ingredients and choose to continue cooking, sims will however complete the interaction as if nothing happened. (If you don't lock the doors to the other apts., sims from the basement will automatically go upstairs to cook and ignore the basement kitchen.) I spent a ridiculous amount of time playtesting it over and over again and trying to figure out what exactly causes the problem, but I really couldn't find a solution and I'm extremely sorry for this. Maybe if you've got For Rent, turning the apts. into proper rental units might fix this issue?
