I’ve done that since I dived deep into indie romance novels, and every encounter has been a blast. Some are friendlier than others, but I’ve always had interesting conversations.

Yesterday, I won a book from Kristen Luciani. I’ve reviewed 3 of the 4 books of her Severinov Bratva series. So I told her I like her books, and my fav is Ravage. We talked a bit about it and its main male character, Alek. I admitted that I had been afraid until the end that she was about to kill him. And she confessed that she almost did, but couldn’t in the end, though it was fitting in terms of character development. So we had a little conversation through messenger, and it was great! (and I got my free book :p )

It has been amazing to exchange words with Mira Lyn Kelly, Kate Meader, Gina L Maxwell (she’s the best, and I sent her a package with some belgian delicacies :) ), KC Enders, Samantha Whiskey, Xavier Neal, Emma Renshaw, Stephanie Brother, and now Kristen Luciani. A few others even offered writing tips.

Fucking fabulous book!!!!! This was my first Gina L. Maxwell book and it won't be the last!!!!!!! Caiden Verran is magnificent!!!! This dark fae badboy had my panties soaked from beginning to end ! He's one of the sexist fae kings of all time with killer good looks and a body made for all kinds of sinful fun. He's into some hard kink and has very dark tastes but he always takes care of our girl Bryn from giving her multi Orgasm's to caring for her needs like the great Dom he is but he can also be a first class asshole! Everything goes great until he wakes up married to Bryn and then in her words he becomes " Mr. Morning-After Asshole" 😂 But before you feel sorry for Bryn don't!!!! She is so fucking awesome!!! She doesn't take shit from day one from this King!!! He's a 6'5 walking wet dream with fangs!!!!!!! And he's not the only hottie! Theirs his two brothers Tier and Finn and both are hot! Theirs also the two woufle brothers who are just as yummy! Gina Maxwell is my new obsession and I intend to read more from this amazing author! Not only did she write some great cliterature but she made me laugh out loud quite a few times!!! I especially loved when Bryn treated to castrate caiden if he ever tried to manipulate her again during sex!!! And I love her wheeling and to get unlimited ebooks and then a beauty and beast inspired library and oh ya, two cats!!! This chic cracks me up!!!! Ah! This book needs to come with a warning label: enough heat to singe! Firemen and military men are two of my favorite characters to read about and getting a twofer? Sign me up.

Is it overdoing it to use words like hot, sizzling and blistering to describe a book about a fireman and really passionate interludes? Maybe, but I got nothing else. HOT FOR THE FIREMAN is also very lighthearted and entertaining and the author deals with the issue of PTSD with the gravity it deserves.

Don’t you just love it when the one time you throw caution to the wind and do something out of the ordinary is when it comes back to bite you? Well, Olivia Jones knows all about that. The one time she steps out of her comfort zone to enjoy a night of sexual pleasure with a stranger, he turns out to be her new client who now wants more than that one night, even if he has to blackmail her for it.

Erik Grady is all about the job and his brotherhood, from his days as an Army Ranger to his current job as a Boston fireman. When his PTSD from his army days begins to affect his job, he has a choice between being permanently benched and therapy and he heads off to therapy. Except his new therapist is the woman with whom he shared a night of heated passion over the weekend. Smart man that Erik is, he knows a good way to make the best of his mandated downtime: more time with Olivia in exchange for seeing a different therapist.

But what starts as a fun way to pass the time becomes so much deeper than that. However, Erik and Olivia are no strangers to heartache and pain and their growing relationship is bound to crash and burn unless they make some tough choices.

I’m not going to lie, this book was much more than I expected, particularly the sexy parts. Is it possible to have too much of a good thing? I’d say yes, but it was tempered by the honest and open feelings between Erik and Olivia. Erik was relentless in his pursuit of Olivia and broke down her walls one brick at a time. Olivia also put her heart on the line to help Erik deal with his PTSD and even their conflict was based on a genuine need to take care of each other. 

The story is nicely rounded out with very interesting and supportive friends and fun dialogue. I really enjoyed this book and I’m very excited about the rest of the series. Just imagine the goodness in store for us with all those fire hotties!
