Hiiii I have headcanons but like . they’re mostly from x readers I’ve read lmaoo. I also have no idea if some of these are canon or not bc like. I didn’t watch the movies lmaoo

But anyways . I’ll mix both suggestions in a blender ! Here’s some tidbits and hcs :]

Bucky likes his coffee black, so Sarah always takes his order as a break of sorts. Does he still stall the process as much as possible so they can keep talking? If he said no would you believe him .

Bucky has a white cat named Alpine (this one ik is canon in some universes). Sarah has two rabbits named Mocha (brown) and Vanilla (cream). both are super big pet dads but suck ass at talking abt them. They both learn about the other’s pets by them being mentioned in brief.

They like to exchange pet pics :)

Bucky likes reading. fav books are the hobbit (smth I’ve seen in multiple fics so it must be canon to some degree?? unless everyone just collectively agrees on it) and the things they carried (from my own head lol). He’s a fan of overly descriptive writing in general.

He also likes animal crossing. Video games in general aren’t hard for him to understand, bc he tends to memorize the controls within the first like 10 mins of playing.

Bucky speaks with a lot of early 1900s slang. I’ve been using this list to write some of his dialogue, and it’s genuinely so fun scrolling tough it lmao

Bucky does not understand modern slang. Sarah speaks in the laziest way possible (idk, iirc, lmao, etc), so whenever they text he always sends things, watches the … that’s shows bucky’s typing, and goes “oh abc means xyz.” Bucky appreciates the extra thought.

Sarah does not do this for Steve. He has to google it himself.

Bucky’s very handy and enjoys fixing things. Did Sarah break that coffee machine on purpose just to see him? Shhhhh.

Bucky fixes his own motorcycle up after battles, and usually does the other avenger’s vehicles while he’s at it. Tony has robots and stuff to do it, but Bucky enjoys the feeling of just doing something and completing it.

Sarah always lingers around on those days bc . Girllll/gn….. why is he wearing a tank top ……

Bucky knew he was bi before he and Sarah met. It took a very long conversation with all the avengers pitching in a little.

Sarah had the vague idea that he liked guys before the whole avengers thing. When he met Bucky he internally kinda js went “ah dammit.”

Bucky loves using pet names. Doll is his favorite, bc Sarah never expects it and immediately goes bright red at the name.

Sarah doesn’t use pet names. He calls Bucky either Bucky or Barnes casually, and James more intimately.

Bucky’s super senses and Sarah’s hyper awareness mean that they often can communicate without talking.

Sarah isn’t aware of the whole winter soldier thing, but also doesn’t rlly care to ask either. Bucky finds this to be one of the things that draws him in the most, as most people are still a bit scared of him.

Eventually Bucky tells Sarah about the past, but Sarah’s like the least serious person about it. (“…and that’s everything.” Sarah’s silent for a while, and Bucky can’t help but feel nervous. Was that too much information? His boyfriend had said to leave nothing out, but maybe he should’ve taken it slower- “Wait, so JFK was you?” Bucky stared at him for a moment, before he burst out laughing. “That’s what you decided to focus on?”)

When they’re a couple there’s a lot of pda. It gets to a point where Tony is this close 🤏 to making a rule against pda in the avengers tower.

Sarah tends to run very hot, and Bucky has a metal arm. It’s Sarah’s “built in ice pack,” as he calls it.

Sarah has a tattoo on his arm (he doesn’t have a full body ref rn so I can’t show it . but it’s a dragon) and Bucky loves to trace the patterns with his thumbs. Sarah’s pretty ticklish though, so any really romantic moments usually end with them both laughing.

“Keith! I’m down here!” “Lance? Lance, where are you!?” “Over here!!” Keith does his best to follow the sound of the tiny voice, so jarringly opposite from Lance’s usual loud and obnoxious tone. He scans the tiny outcropping of rock, looking for his (ex) childhood friend’s ugly mug. “Down here!” Down? Keith glances down, and just about trips on a rock. A tiny Lance, no taller than an inch and wearing nothing but a leaf around his hips, is jumping up and down and waving his arm frantically to get Keith’s attention. Keith blinks once, and blinks again. “Wha…? Lance!?”

Untitled Voltron Sense8 AU - klance, shallura, Rolo/Nyma

This one I haven’t officially started on yet, it’s just been cooking in my head since I finished Sense8 season 2, and that I’m starting to put a lot of thought into recently, with the announcement of the series cancellation (fuck u Netflix).

The sensate team is Allura, Pidge, Shiro, Keith, Lance, Hunk, Shay and Rolo (though I might kick Rolo out for Lotor, I think that would be more interesting). The Galra are the BPO, and Sendak is Whispers. Probably one of the Blade of Marmora birthed the Cluster. Coran is like, too old to “share his first breath” so he’s like Allura’s guardian and confidante.

I’ll be making a more thorough post about it at some point.
