‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭1:12‭-‬17‬ (‭GNT‬‬). “I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength for my work. I thank him for considering me worthy and appointing me to serve him, even though in the past I spoke evil of him and persecuted and insulted him. But God was merciful to me because I did not yet have faith and so did not know what I was doing. And our Lord poured out his abundant grace on me and gave me the faith and love which are ours in union with Christ Jesus. This is a true saying, to be completely accepted and believed: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. I am the worst of them, but God was merciful to me in order that Christ Jesus might show his full patience in dealing with me, the worst of sinners, as an example for all those who would later believe in him and receive eternal life. To the eternal King, immortal and invisible, the only God—to him be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen.”
“Grace on Display” By In Touch Ministries:
“Even the worst of sinners is welcome to receive God's extravagant mercy and love.”
“Paul described himself as the worst of sinners and as someone to whom the Lord had expressed His favor and love (1 Tim. 1:16 NIV). How could he be both? That’s the power of God’s grace: Though sinners, we become spiritually alive and receive a new purpose for living.
After Paul met the Savior, he cared deeply about those who did not yet know God, and he also desired to help Christians grow in their faith. For the rest of his life, he shared the gospel, encouraged fellow believers, and met the needs of others. He acted as God’s ambassador to the Gentiles, and his letters became biblical wisdom for future generations.
Through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit, Paul began to display more and more Christlike qualities. In his writings, we see compassion, great humility, and appreciation for God’s blessings. Only the grace of God could enable a well-educated and influential man to count all his credentials a “loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord” (Philippians 3:8).
Paul’s life is an example of God working through sinners and transforming them. The Holy Spirit seeks to do the same for you and me. Are you allowing God’s favor and love to work within you?”

Cassandra had not been cursed by Apollo.
Here, this is a version that hardly anyone knew: the common opinion was that Apollo, falling in love with her, offered her the gift of prophecy, and offended by her refusal, he cursed her never to be believed.
In reality, Cassandra was born with the gift of the foresight, as was her twin Helenus.
But while her brother, with a much weaker gift, was held in high esteem, she had to keep quiet. Because she was a woman, and women were never listened to.
Cassandra knew since she was five that no one would listen to her because she was missing a piece, and that they would blame a god to justify it.
Perhaps it was true that Apollo had cursed her, perhaps not. But if a person decided not to listen to someone just because of the genre, it wasn't the fault of a god, but of the human being that had chosen based on their prejudices.

“I never knew you; depart from Me.”
What? He was joking. He had to be.
I wanted to laugh it off. To see him smile like he always did, to feel his warm embrace. But I was terrified.
But there I stood before his throne, my legs giving out and leaving me on my knees before him. I needed to speak, to make sure this was some sort of misunderstanding.
“Father…what’re you saying?” I whispered. My body was trembling, and my heart was pounding. Sure, I’d made mistakes. Plenty of them. But he’d always forgiven me. He’d made it better. He said he loved me.
“Depart.”
I flinched at his command. What had I done? My mind was racing with every regret I’d had, every mistake and bad choice, every sin. I didn’t want to leave him, not ever. I loved him.
“P-Please,” I whimpered. Immediately tears ran down my cheeks. Not at the thought of going to hell, but at the idea of being apart from him for eternity.
But he didn’t look back. I was nothing to him.
I felt a strong pair of arms lift me from the ground and pull me away from him. From his light. From his love.
“Baby?”
The soft voice stirred me out of my nightmare and my eyes slowly opened to meet his. I was speechless, blinking back tears that only pushed through and soaked my cheeks.
“Daddy?” I whimpered.
The dream had felt so real. Too real. I almost didn’t believe this was him. The real him. But the relief was overwhelming.
I crumbled into his arms and broke down. I had really thought it was over, that he’d rejected me, abandoned me forever.
“Sweetheart, what’s wrong?”
He looked so concerned, and beautiful. He was so beautiful. I just cried into his chest and clung to his waist. He was a lifeline, something I would never let go of.
“I thought you didn’t want me anymore,” I choked out. I could hardly breathe with how panicked I was over the dream, but the instant his arms wrapped around me, I felt safe.
“Didn’t want you anymore?” he repeatedly softly. I just nodded, unable to even lift my head because of how scared I’d been.
“Like in the verse,” I whimpered, pointing at the Bible on my nightstand with a shaky hand, “last night, we read Matthew 7. Depart from me, I never knew you. That’s what you said.” I cried.
His arms tightened around my waist and I could feel his lips plant the softest kiss on my forehead.
“Listen to me, sweet girl”
His hand came to wipe my tears away and lift my chin until our eyes met.
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare unto them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ That is what we read yes? In Matthew 7?”
“Yes,” I mumbled into his chest. I could feel him trying to calm me down, his fingers moving to gently brush through my hair.
“Yes, that’s right, little one. Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father. And you have done well, my love.”
“I have?” I whimpered. I knew I should believe him, but I didn’t. I sinned all the time. Every day.
“Yes, you have done well. Sure, you make mistakes, but you try your hardest to follow me and love me with all your heart. You’re such a good girl, and I’m proud of you.”
It didn’t make sense. Part of me still felt like I was dreaming, that this mercy couldn’t be true.
But it was.
My grasp around him only got stronger. “You know I love you, right?” I whispered. It was true, I did love him. More than anything.
“I know, baby. I know.”

god isn’t real
I have seen too much evidence of His provision, grace, encouragement and answer to prayers in my life (both yes and no) to not believe in Him.
He died for me and offered me abundant life through His power. I will happily live for Him.
‭Romans 5:8 ESV‬
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

For the spirit of the Lord says to those of an “old nature”, whom have not fully understood the life and work of My spirit in the new man. “You will continue to “drink milk” and remain on a level of compromise in your spiritual walk. For I have not called you into a life of two natures. How can one “remain” a lost sinner and be saved by My grace and power all in the same work? For I have called you “out” of darkness into the light of My Son. So swallow your false pride and ignorance so that you can climb the levels I’ve set before you. For the “sucking of the thumb” will remain to those whom sit at the back of the class in showmanship, where their level meets their brain. Show Me you can “dot I’s and cross T’s” and I’ll move you to the front. But lack in gratefulness and you’ll earn a “fools degree”. Watch your showmanship. For I’ve already graded you incompetent and without regard, says the Lord.

Zephaniah 3:16-17 (NASB). “In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: ‘Do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp. The LORD your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.’”
“A God of Unwavering Love” By In Touch Ministries:
“We are precious in the sight of our heavenly Father.”
“Today’s passage gives us a beautiful promise: “The Lord your God is in your midst, a victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy” (v. 17). This verse paints a picture of God not only as a powerful warrior but also as a tender and loving Father who delights in His children.
When we face trials, we can find comfort in knowing that God stands by us as a victorious warrior. He fights on our behalf, triumphing over adversity and defeating the forces that seek to harm us. In His strength, we discover resilience, courage, and hope.
At the same time, God reveals His gentler side. He exults over us with joy, taking delight in our growth and successes. Even in our imperfections, we are tenderly embraced by His unconditional acceptance and reminded that we’re cherished with immeasurable love.
When we feel alone or unheard, God’s love is there. He loves us, not from a distance but intimately—as a compassionate Father who knows our heart’s deepest longings and whispers words of comfort to our soul.”
