Worked on the Horrible Bard's base a little.

I didn't take pictures of the paints, but I used Citadel's Standard Mechanicus grey, Morghast bone, and Pro Acryl copper.

Copper coins because he's a Horrible bard and no one's giving him a ton of cash.

Should make shading and highlighting easier.

And because I like the Pro Acryl copper so much, I banged out another skull for the hell of it.

Although I'm late, I certainly wish all mothers, grandmothers and aunts a happy Mother's Day!

Yes, it depends on the country (in Mexico it is celebrated on May 10th, in Britain on March 10th, in some Orthodox countries it is two weeks before Christmas), but generally it is taken on the second Sunday of May and yes, the mother is an extremely important figure in the family because it gives offspring and preserves it and takes care of it. Also, there is a lot of religious significance, especially in the Christian one, when you look at Mary, the mother of Jesus, who took care of Jesus until Jesus started his activity and teaching others. Also, there are a lot of fictional mothers in various literary works, films, plays, comics, video games and cartoons of various genres. Well, it's the same in Donald Duck comics and Donald Duck cartoons, which I'm particularly attached to.

Of course, so that I didn't do anything related to that holiday (and there will be those drawings for sure), I will post earlier drawings like the ones I did last year, only on this blog of mine where I publish my drawings, otherwise I did this last year related to Duckvember themed around mother ducks. I chose three maternal figures from the Duckverse (Disney comics and Ducktales) namely Grandma Duck, Daisy and Della Duck.

The first drawing was related to the 80th anniversary of her first appearance, and I mean Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot). And certainly she is responsible for the development of Donald Duck, as well as his sister and his cousins. And all her children are together, some around her and some in the portraits. Yes, I drew Grandma Duck (Elvira Coot) as I envision her in the Quack Pack version, as well as the rest of the Duck family. Yes, she's alive in my version of the Quack Pack AU, only she's much older, but mostly she's happy to have living descendants around to take care of her. Especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The other drawing I did was Della Duck with her sons, Huey, Dewey and Louie plus Phooey Duck (Donald’s fourth lost nephew) and Daisy Duck with her nieces, April, May and June Duck. Della and Daisy are mother figures to them, and their children are teenagers. Yes, as in the previous drawing, I drew in the Quack Pack version or the way I imagine. I hope you like it. What color do u associate with each member of the duck/mcduck/coot family? All of em :D

picked out some specific colors for some characters but for some of them (like characters that dont appear that much) it gets more vague. for characters in black it means idc abt them sorry

HDL are their main dt17 colors, Della is the color of her scarf and Donald is a dark blue to me (bc black+blue, lol (and his hat))

Green as a whole fits Gladstone (and red with Fethry) but i feel like more saturated versions of that makes sense. DT17!Gladstone specifically is a paler green. Because Fethry's red i made the rest of his family red ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Daphne is yellow because i associate her with her hair, and Goostave is blue (to make Gladstone green) and desaturated because.. hes a very serious looking guy

also AMJ are their lottc colors because that was the first time i met them!

for the most part these are vibes based tho. and probably wrong. anyone is free to add on with what colors they associate the characters 👍

Duckvember - Mother Duck (Ducks) - Duck Family in Quack Pack AU

Although I'm late, I definitely drew two drawings related to the Duckvember theme of mothers. I chose three maternal figures from the Duckverse (Disney comics and Ducktales) namely Grandma Duck, Daisy and Della Duck.

The first drawing is my redraw from my old drawing plus I drew this as a birthday for Grandma Duck, or the best mommy duck, or grandma duck. Random Headcanon for Gladstone Gander

Note: Gladstone’s family lineage varies between authors, so I am going to choose the Duck family tree by Don Rosa as a template for this headcanon.

According to Rosa’s Duck family tree, Gladstone Gander is the son of Daphne Duck, from which he inherited his supernatural good luck, and Goostave Gander, a firm but fair goose.

Due to Gladstone’s mixed heritage, this has been another source of bullying towards him along with his good fortune.

While Gladstone maintained his cool and confident appearance most of the time, there were times when his goose genetics caused some embarrassment for him.

Having a case of the hiccups is very rare for Gladstone. But when he does, a goose-like honking noise emits from his mouth. Whenever he hiccups in crowded places, people think that there’s a semi-trailer truck passing by. He always manages to sneak out, undetected, before anyone can trace the sound to him.

Plus, his hybrid heritage is quite noticeable on the outside due to his goose genetics making him “rounder” in certain areas. While all ducks are naturally plump, Gladstone, while in healthy shape for any bird, has some… extra cargo in the rear.

Ever since high school, poor Gladstone has had to deal with insults from peers and strangers like “Humpty Dumpty”, “Rump Roast”, or “Goosey Caboosey”. Usually, he would remain calm, yet visibly annoyed, when hearing these affronts. But there is one name that could set this bird off: “bubble butt”. On the day his parents died, some students in school called him that name which led to a violent fight that got him sent home for the day. Once he got home, thats when he received the tragic news. Now, every time someone calls him “bubble butt”, he’s reminded of that fateful day of his terrible loss.

Anyone who has survived a goose attack in a park can vouch that these birds are not to be taken lightly. The people who have called Gladstone that dreaded nickname learned the hard way that it takes one push over the edge to cause this perpetually lazy to pull a Donald. He may not be a skilled fighter like Donald, Della, or Abner, but he knows how to deliver some nasty bites with his sharp teeth.

Although, they’re not actual teeth, but rather jagged structures created from cartilage that line up the inside of the bill- referred to as “tomia”. Yet, Gladstone always refers to them as “fangs” just because it sounds cooler. Either way, these appendages can easily do some serious damage.

And like all geese, he lets out a terrifying hissing noise. It sounds like a velociraptor hunting for fresh prey.

Imagine walking through the woods, alone, after dark and hearing that sound! 😰

Luckily, his family (EVEN Donald!) would never laugh at those jokes or tease him about his body. Gladstone and his cousins may trade jabs at each other on a daily basis, but they have an agreement on what lines should never be crossed. Also, he has become comfortable with joking about himself from time to time, but only around family.

For example, whenever the children were caught in a lie, Gladstone has permission from the other adults to threaten to sit on them if they don’t confess. It takes only a MILLISECOND for them to spill the beans. Plus, his tomia saves on fake teeth for Halloween costumes. He even jokes about being secretly a vampire to the kids and that his good fortune protects him from burning in the sunlight. Louie and Lena don’t believe it, but they always appreciated his theatrics.

Despite the grievances he experiences due to his unique anatomy, Gladstone remains proud to be the son of Goostave and Daphne. They were good people and even greater parents. All genetics have their drawbacks and advantages.

He’s a duck.

He’s a goose.

But he’s all Gladstone…for better or worse..🍀

Duck Musings - Of Duck and Gander

Previously I mused on Donald’s parents, and why we liked to headcanon them as deceased. It is kind of amusing, because on some level we do know some things about both Quackmore and Hortense, this makes them the Duck parents we know most about. We know how they met and why they developed feelings for each other, Duck family rage and McDuck family rage, match made in heaven. So, this has led me to question, what about Gladstone’s parents?

The most we know officially about Gladstone’s parents is that they died. That is it, other than the fact that Gladstone’s mother, Daphne, is Donald’s aunt. This is interesting, because every iteration of Gladstone’s father, Goostave Gander, that I have seen has made him look a little bit more upper-class than the family farm owners of the Duck family. So, what drew Gustave to Daphne?

It’s easy to just assume that he fell in love with her because she was pretty, and her luck just so happened to make him someone she liked too, but if that were the case, why do we characterize Goostave as being nearly head-over-heels for Daphne? One fan-comic that sticks out to me is this one by Leoruby-Draws, where Daphne takes some offense at an off-hand remark Gustave makes and wants to change her hairstyle. In the end, Gustave says she looks “perfect, as usual”. I would also be remiss to not bring up Modmad’s comic “The White Balloon” which has a little at the start about how Goostave and Daphne met, and has a bit with Goostave getting into an argument with his mother about marrying Daphne. In the end, both these fan-comics have characterized Goostave as truly loving Daphne, beyond her luck.

Daphne is often characterized by fans as being a truly loving person, someone who really just loves the people around them. It is not difficult to thin that Goostave was smitten by this love and kindness, which makes me wonder, who exactly is he? Who is his family?

I’ve had a story idea for a while where Donald, Gladstone and Fethry crash into the Gander manor, Gladstone’s grandparents. Not a lot has come of that idea, mostly because I am a very distracted writer. I mention it because, I would find it very interesting to read about what the Gander family is like, what happened after Goostave died, how would they treat Gladstone. Who they see him as Goostave’s son, or would they see him as part of the Duck Rabble? I would especially love it if they had some rivalry with the McDuck family.

In some ways, I get why this is how the fandom sees Gladstone’s parents. It all ties back to the tragedy of Gladstone, but I find it fascinating to think about what their lives were like. Also, who gave Modmad permission to break my heart with The White Balloon?

There is most spiteful character from Gander's family is Disraeli Duck. This guy is the worst unlike Gladstone. And he's only appear one time in the story.

Myth AU Ideas Part 1

I’m mixing different canons together for this with dt17 being the base.

Some of The Coots and Ducks have creature forms but it’s a 50% chance overall. (It’s genetics in this case. While with the McDucks it’s a bit of genetics and curses) Here are some of them that have creature forms:

Coots: Elivira Coot (Grandma Duck), Casey Coot, Gus Goose, Don de Pato aka Don Dugo, Cuthbert Coot, etc

(fun fact while doing some looking into Don de Pato, also Don Dugo is his German name. he was originally from the McDucks, but in the LOT3C he was changed to be a Coot ancestor instead. Also the conquistador armor makes more sense now cause he’s actually from Spain. His creature form would most likely be something Spanish but idk yet and with the others idk what there creature forms would be. Also that maybe Panchito and José’s ancestors would also have a form, there’s will also be European for Jose’s ancestor Pascoal Papagaio it would be Portuguese not Brazilian because of the time period same with Panchito’s ancestor Gallus Maximus it would be Spanish not Mexican.)

Ducks: Pintail Duck, Eider Duck, Abner Whitewater Duck, HumperDink Duck, etc

people with creature forms have two different puberty’s the regular puberty and first few transformations. 

In Lena’s redemption arc in the au will be a bit different her creature form changes a bit kinda like the mlp changelings in season 6.

Goldie is a mix between a Sirin and Alicanto from Russian and Chilean myths with a bit of Siren. Alicanto is a gold associated mythical bird and Sirin is a bird woman hybrid.

Those who have creature forms are usually seen as a different group compared to those who don’t have one, you usually can’t tell someone has one unless you see them transform. There sometimes seen as a minority depending on the location.

There’s an really rare case where one person has more than one creature form, it’s usually for those with a personality disorders for example D.I.D. but can also happen without the personality disorders, but it’s extremely rare.

The Legend of Three Caballeros Versions of April, May, and June will be in this au as Daisy’s nieces along side the clones May and June from dt17 canon. Webby is not a clone of Scrooge in this au or any au/ new headcanons I make. but May and June are still clones of Webby. TLoTC April May and June all have creature forms I don’t know what they’ll be yet.

All Duck AU’s and OC’s Ideas and shit

Super Paper Ducktales Ideas: im going to try not spoil anything from the game (even tho it’s 15 years old but still) cause I highly recommend you watch a let’s play or play it for yourself to understand what im trying to do. Plus it’s a amazing game.

Since Mimi is Webby (kid minion) and Della (adult minion) they both should have the “true” form like Mimi does In the original game (if you know you know) idk if I’ll stick with the spider aspect of the original or go for something different. The Thing aspect of the original will still be there, it has to be terrifying.

Some scenes change depending on the version of the au. Like for example the love simulator portion of chapter 3-4 will stay both versions with slight differences.

Im thinking Gladstone or Dapper Duck for Bowser in the adult hero version, but Im debating whether or not it’s a good idea.

Some events are completely changed or removed to make it fit more with the duckverse.

Angst potential everywhere. >:) Donald and Louie get tortured to hell and back (literally) just like Luigi does in the original game. (My favs getting lots of trauma is my fav thing to do cause I love em)

Some Super Paper Mario lore (and yes there is more for this, seriously look it up) will stay the same like pixels origins for example, while others will change to be more close to the duckverse like the origin of the prophecies. Etc.

Mythology AU:

I’m adding aspects of the legend of the three caballeros, cause I love that show and the mythology parts of the show fit perfectly with what my au is about in a way. And aspects of other duckverse canon.

The forms for Jose and Panchito’s ancestors are based on forms from Portugal and Spain or Rome, due to the most possible time period which is the 16th century, during that time Portugal and Spain conquered Brazil and Mexico. Theirs come from curses (this is the reason why Jose and Panchito don’t have creature forms because it never passed on to their families. Maybe some family members would have one but it’s rare.) not blood like Don de Pato, who passed it on to some members of the coot kin. Their forms are: El Coco, El Cuco, etc from Spanish and Portuguese folklore for Gallus Maximus (Panchito’s ancestor) and for Pascoal Papagaio (Jose’s ancestor) Besta-Fera a Portuguese centaur.

The Shellgoose family could have creature forms as well that comes from a curse from passed on through the generations. It could skip generations. (There’s also a the possibility that Gladstone could be part shellgoose as well which honestly is a really interesting theory)

Xandra has some knowledge on the possible origins of why the mythicals exist.

People who have creature/true forms are called mythicals

April, May, and June (not the clones) have creature forms, but there’s will be different from each other. But I’m still thinking of what it will be.

Like the Super Paper Ducktales au some things will change others will be removed or added to fit with the duckverse.

The only ones I’ve thought of so far are the Twilight Princess and Ocarina of Time/Majora’s Mask eras. And some characters roles.

GO AND PLAY ONE HONK BEFORE MIDNIGHT

I ran the pre-written adventure for One Honk Before Midnight - written by Jack Dixon - that has the players run around as geese with inexplicable abilities, and humans that have the same ability to recognise and remember an active threat in their community as a goldfish.

On top of the game working really well to have players come together for rolls, the way you cycle out the Geese as they put themselves in danger is nice and simple, and the fucking puns are delightful. Here was the total pun names for our gaggle:

Christmas a.k.a Crisp (Died in a fiery explosion) Gagliel (Helped build a trebuchet) Flappacinno (Made a circle of flowers, which was tripped on by a large man whom squished Flap) Lady Gaggle (and her gosling lil Gossle) Night Wing (Helped build a trebuchet that launched not only two of his gander into the middle of two, but also a woman through her second-story window) Goostave the Grim (Shot someone) Goosifer (Wholeheartedly instilled fear in at least 3 children)

Such a dumb game, but a lot of fun.

I agree!!! It makes me sad she isn't brought up more she's such an interesting character to me !!!

She definatly seems like such a lonely character, but it also shows the juxtaposition between her personality and gladstones. While she had siblings and grew up on a farm, gladstone was an only child with a bunch of cousins from all walks of life... it's interesting to me thinking about her relationship with Elvira and her siblings while simultaneously living in her own world and being a bit oblivious to things.

I think she was always a little lonely but grew up pretty content with that, she had her family and her luck and eventually goostave and a family of her own,

I like to imagine she thought gladstone was very lucky to have a cousin like donald to balance him out, even if they gave eachother a hard time they really do have alot in common! I think she would've liked that :]

Finally I did another Duck comic, just for you!

Here's a little comic I've been working on and off the past few months! This is just the first half, I'm still working on the second half, that'll be done in a couple weeks I think.

As for why I made this, I guess I just thought it'd be interesting to see Daphne and Magica interact. I wanted to have Daphne encourage a young Magica, who's struggling with her magic, and give her some sort of pep talk.

It was kind of a struggle to write their dialogue together tho, since I had to be sure that an older Magica wouldn't connect her meeting with Daphne to Gladstone later on. Their conversation had to vague enough that no mention of Daphne's name, her luckiness, or even the name of the city Duckberg happens.

It's the same reason why I had Gladstone as still an egg instead of a baby, which I was originally gonna do. But Magica might've connected that to an older Gladstone, plus an egg is easier to draw lol.
