While the purity of Camellia Sinensis is a marvel in itself, the world of tea extends far beyond the simple leaf that is often called a True Tea. Let's talk about flavor-infused tea.
Tumblr media
Infused tea
The practice of infusing tea with flavors dates back centuries, with evidence of flavored teas found in ancient Chinese and Indian cultures. Early methods of infusion involved adding herbs, spices, or flowers directly to the tea leaves during steeping. Over time, more sophisticated techniques were developed, such as extracting essential oils from aromatic plants and adding them to the tea.
Today, infused teas are typically created using one of two methods:
Direct Infusion: The most common method involves adding dried herbs, spices, or fruits directly to the tea leaves before steeping. This allows the flavors to infuse naturally into the tea, creating a harmonious blend.
Flavoring Oils: Essential oils extracted from aromatic plants can be added to the tea after steeping. This method allows for precise control over the intensity of the flavor and can be used to create subtle or bold infusions.
One of the most renowned flavor-infused teas is Earl Grey, a black tea infused with the fragrant oil of bergamot orange. The citrusy notes of bergamot dance harmoniously with the rich, full-bodied flavor of black tea, creating a truly exquisite beverage. Earl Grey is a versatile tea that can be enjoyed hot or iced, and it pairs well with a variety of foods.
Aside from Earl Grey, the world of flavor-infused teas is vast and varied. From the delicate floral notes of jasmine tea to the bold fruity flavors of berry teas, there is a flavor combination to suit every palate.
Tumblr media
Pictured above: (top) Jasmine infused green tea from Fujian Tea Import & Export Co., (bottom) Blood Orange herbal tea from Harney & Sons Fine Teas. [Blend: Apple pieces, rose hips, hibiscus, beetroot, orange peel, orange flavor, marigold petals, safflower petals.]
Some of the other popular flavor-infused teas include:
Jasmine Tea: A green tea infused with jasmine flowers, offering a delicate floral aroma and a slightly sweet taste.
Chai Tea: A black tea spiced with cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger, creating a warm and comforting blend.
Fruit Teas: A variety of teas infused with fruit flavors, such as strawberry, raspberry, or peach, providing a sweet and tangy taste.
Fruit teas are excellent for cold-brewed iced tea. I will cover cold-brewing later, so please look forward to that.
When choosing a flavor-infused tea, consider your personal preferences and the occasion. A delicate floral tea might be perfect for a relaxing afternoon, while a bold and spicy chai tea could be a comforting choice on a cold day.
The choice of infusion depends on the desired flavor profile and the characteristics of the ingredients being used. For example, delicate floral flavors may be best achieved using direct infusion, while strong, bold flavors can be created using flavoring oils.
If you wish to create your own infused tea, that will have to be a separate post. For now, it is enough to be able to identify the tea you are brewing so that you can handle it appropriately.
Brewing infused teas requires a balance of technique and intuition. First, identify the ingredients. When brewing a cup of tea, it's good to know what temperature and length of time to steep your tea for.
A tea labeled "Peach" may be a white tea with peach flavoring, and it may be best to brew it at a temperature appropriate for white tea. Blends may consist of varying ingredients that require different temperatures, so some experimentation may be in order to find the best brewing temperature to get the most of each flavor.
Tumblr media
Herbal tea
Beyond the True Tea, there lies a world of herbal teas, each offering a unique blend of flavors and health benefits. Herbal teas are made from a variety of plants, including herbs, spices, and fruits. They are often enjoyed for their medicinal properties, as well as their delicious taste.
As no part of an herbal tea contains the Camellia Sinensis plant, these teas are not considered "True Teas". That does not mean we cannot enjoy them, however.
For the most part, an herbal tea will not contain any caffeine, unlike the tea produced from the Camellia Sinensis plant. This makes them more suitable to enjoy in the evening or late hours.
Tumblr media
Pictured above: (from top to bottom) Roses, honeysuckle, chrysanthemums, mint and lavender.
Some popular herbal teas include:
Chamomile Tea: Made from chamomile flowers, this tea is known for its calming and relaxing properties.
Peppermint Tea: Made from peppermint leaves, this tea is refreshing and aids digestion.
Ginger Tea: Made from ginger root, this tea is warming and can help soothe an upset stomach.
Hibiscus Tea: Made from hibiscus flowers, this tea has a tart, fruity flavor and is rich in antioxidants.
As with many blends, it is helpful to experiment a little with the temperature and steep time to get the most of your tea. Intuition will follow experience.
Tumblr media
The ideal steeping temperature for infused teas and herbal teas can vary depending on the specific ingredients and desired flavor intensity. However, here are some general guidelines:
Delicate floral or fruity teas: 175-185°F (79-85°C)
Bold, spicy teas: 195-212°F (90-100°C)
Herbal teas: 175-212°F (79-100°C), depending on the specific herbs used
Serving suggestions: Cream is usually not served with fruit teas, as the acidity in some will cause the milk to curdle. Lemon slices are commonly served with Earl Grey, however, as with the fruit tea, lemon can also cause cream to curdle. Sugar or honey are appropriate for nearly any tea.
It's always a good idea to experiment with different temperatures to find the perfect brew for your taste. I hope this has been informational and helpful to my students who wish to become better acquainted with tea.

hooray!! congrats on the good news, i hope the streak continues!
okay i'm glad you won't be uncomfortable with the stuff i interact with. i didn't bother with any warnings on my blog bc i'm mostly here to consume things and don't expect too many people to wander by lol. but! since i have been coming out of my lil lurker basement lately i finally at least added a color scheme to it so i look less like a bot.
oh man oh man where to start on tea and jackets? what are your go-to's for either? i'm kind of a tea purist-i prefer tea the east asian (chinese/japanese/korean) way, just pure tea leaves and occasional aromatics with no additional sugar or cream unless i'm specifically making a milk tea. i don't really like herbal teas. i want that camellia sinensis in my shit. my default tea rn is probably hojicha. i made a sunrise burnt basque hojicha cheesecake and though the layers didn't come out as cleanly as i wanted it tasted lovely. a tumblr friend on here inspired me to try out the burnt basque with a FANTASTIC green thai tea i have next! (if you're in the market for the green thai tea and are usa-based i cannot recommend it enough. it's so unique bc green thai is uncommon in the states already, and most of it comes from the powder packets but the one i have is all whole ingredients, no extracts or dye or flavor enhancements and it is DIVINE. sooo fragrant with pandan and vanilla and mint. i will scarf down anything with pandan in it but this is especially lovely)
i basically only own leather jackets or blazers, i have an embarassing amount of both. i did just do a closet purge with a friend's help though and i am proud of say i got rid of like, 16 college-era (p)leather jackets and blazers that had seen better days/are no longer in style
ty for sticking around for my D1 yapping!
dw abt it LMAO. it's not super apparent, but if you look close enough you can see my inner hoe poking through in my tags, so yes. i definitely consume smut and dark content and am looking forward to seeing your stuff on my dash 🤭
omg and for tea? i literally drink any and all kinds of tea. so again, if you've been on my blog long enough/look closely i'm pretty sure i've mentioned it before but i'm half korean, and i while i love all kinds of tea, the tea my mom made for me are nostalgic and bring me comfort. i almost always drink my teas plain (chai being the only exception) or with a little bit of honey.
i LOVE herbal teas. i can't really drink a ton of caffeine with my adhd meds or i genuinely start tweaking. like twitching and all that shit, so i normally drink other teas even though i really enjoy green and black teas :')
THAT TEA AND CHEESECAKE BOTH SOUND SO GOOD OMG
i'm a sucker for jackets and boots, and while i don't have too many, i definitely own a few, but i'll probably reblog this post and rant about them later lmao
if you're interested, here is a comprehensive list of my top ten favorite teas (in no particular order), how i drink them, and why. thank you for attending my lecture.
1. you are so right about hojicha. i love green tea, but my absolute favorite variation of green tea is nokcha. i love the extra flavor the brown rice brings to it. i normally drink it plain, but if i'm feeling fancy i'll steam a little milk and add a drizzle of honey
2. this definitely isn't korean, but when i was little my mom would make me this tea and it was so, so, so, good. it's basically just a stick of cinnamon, some apples slices up, orange and lemon peel, and a little bit of honey boiled together for like an hour. it's literally my favorite thing to drink in the fall bc it just warms me up from the inside
3. oksusu-cha. it's basically a korean tea made from roasted corn kernels and i really, really, like it. it's different from a lot of teas in the sense that it's almost savory, but its taste is very unique and almost earthy? idk how to describe it but i highly recommend trying it. i always drink it plain, but pouring it over heukmi bap (korean purple rice) and eating is also amazing
4. earl gray. i know this one is very british and different from the rest of the teas i drink, but i love having a cup of it once in a while! i drink it black sometimes, but i'll also drink it with either lemon and honey, or a little milk and honey
5. chamomile my love. i love love love a nice cup of chamomile before bed while i'm reading a book! i almost always drink it plain, but if i'm on my period i add a spoonful of honey
6. hibiscus tea. while this isn't necessarily my favorite taste wise, it brings back a lot of memories from when i was little and would go to a cafe with my mom. not to say i don't enjoy the flavor, it's just a little too sweet and a little too tart for me to drink a lot of
7. gyulpi cha. it's a korean citrus peel tea (not unlike #2) and it's really, really, good. i always drink it plain.
8. chai. this is the only type of tea i drink with a ton of stuff in it. i'm currently boycotting starbucks, but i love their iced chai latte with sweet cream foam. during fall i normally get it with some pumpkin flavoring lol. however i barely consider the drink tea at this point lmao
9. lavender tea. i absolutely love a cup of lavender tea before bed. i always drink it plain, and think the scent is so calming!
10. and finally lilac tea. i love lilacs. growing up we had a massive lilac bush and the smell always brings me back. i really enjoy its subtly sweet and floral flavor, and always drink it plain.
anyways, that's it for the tea lmao.

Review of B.LAB's Matcha Hydrating Real Sun Screen SPF50+ PA++++
B.LAB is a Korean nature-oriented brand that provides comfort to tired skin. They're also known for high-quality products made from natural ingredients. Their Matcha Hydrating Real Sun Screen is a chemical sunscreen designed to hydrate and protect skin without feeling greasy. Key ingredients include: 940ppm of green tea leaf water (toning, soothing, hydrating, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging), ice plant extract (antioxidant, moisture-rich, hydrating, strengthens skin barrier), terephthalylidene dicamphor sulfonic acid (chemical filter, anti-aging, provides effective protection from UVA rays), diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate (chemical filter, ideal for protection against UVA rays, extremely skin safe for all skin types) and niacinamide (whitening, lightening, anti-aging, rejuvenating, anti-wrinkle). This product retails for between $10-15 USD, you can get it here for $14.40 + shipping. Currently, you can get it on sale for $6.29 + shipping.
Ingredients
Water, Dibutyl Adipate, Methylpropanediol, Alcohol Denat., Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid, 1,2-Hexanediol, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Glycerin, Niacinamide, Polysilicone-15, Tromethamine, Polyglyceryl-3 Distearate, Caprylyl Methicone, Cetearyl Alcohol, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Dipropylene Glycol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Glyceryl Stearate, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Polyether-1, Carbomer, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Water (940ppm), Ethylhexylglycerin, Adenosine, Butylene Glycol, Menthyl Lactate, Ethyl Menthane Carboxamide, Methyl Diisopropyl Propionamide, Mesembryanthemum Crystallinum (Iceplant) Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol
Tumblr media
This sunscreen contains 50 ml (1.69 oz) and is fragrance-free.
Tumblr media
The sunblock has a very light cream texture and feels a little wet on the skin.
Tumblr media
It blends out really easily and really doesn't feel like a sunscreen.
Tumblr media
It absorbs quickly and leaves skin really hydrated and not overly tacky.
Tumblr media
There's no flashback or noticeable white cast at all under flash.
Recommended use is to apply the sunscreen and smooth it over the skin and blend and tap into the skin for better absorption. This brand is cruelty-free and uses clean ingredients, it's also fragrance-free. After using, I do personally have somewhat sensitive skin and some sunscreens really irritate my eyes, I did notice a bit of tingling due to the menthyl lactate in the ingredients but otherwise no issues around my eye area. I also have dry skin and I think this works great without any added moisturizer underneath, but it also layers well and does a good job underneath makeup, no pilling at all. There's not really any scent of ingredients that I've noticed too much and of course, it's free of artificial fragrance. The thing that really sticks out to me in Korean and Japanese sunscreens is that you can put these on your lips and not have that kind of unpleasant sunscreen taste. The ingredients are great, minus a couple of ingredients. The cooling tingle is noticeable but not terrible or overly irritating for me, but if you can't handle anything like that, then best to avoid this one. I'd recommend this to anyone with dry and dehydrated skin, people who have sensitive skin, and people who need a lightweight formula.
What I like: I'd like to make it clear, this sunscreen is probably my favorite that I've ever tried and I feel like I don't hear people talking about it. It's also very affordable and I do actually wish they'd make a version with 100 ml. I enjoy the texture and it works so well under makeup. What I don't like: the slightly cooling tingle could irritate very sensitive skin.
Pros:
Moisturizing
Hydrating
Gentle
Layers well
No pilling
Safe around the eyes
Lovely formula
Great texture
Affordable
Smooths over the skin so nicely
Fragrance-free
Cons:
Has a couple irritants
Would I buy this again?
Yes, for sure
Rating: 10/10

☕️ on tea? Love it, hate it, never drank it? Favorite, least favorite?
Tea is the best. :D
So I love all kinds of tea, it's the best drink. Coffee upsets my digestive system these days, but even before that started when given a choice between coffee and tea I would pick tea.
There are so many different types of teas out there too. And they're all so good.
First we've got the true teas: black tea, green tea, white tea, pu erh tea, oolong tea, and yellow tea. These are all derived from camellia sinensis plant and are all going to have naturally occuring caffeine in them.
Of the true teas, black teas tend to be my favorites. They typically have a stronger or bolder flavor and sometimes aren't so much black as they are a deep red which can be very pretty. Though add bergamot to a black tea and it'll be extra delicious to me. (Bergamot being a type of orange - bergamot oil/extract is what's typically added to the tea itself.) Bergamot is found in various breakfast teas, Earl Grey, Paris, amongst others and has a very distinctive aroma.
Black teas also go well with chocolate - I don't know that I've tried a chocolate tea that didn't have a black tea base. Of course people might also start blending coffee into their tea and that's where my adventurousness dies, but often those will be on a black tea base too. If I'm looking for a strong black tea to go in place of coffee and I'm not picking a bergamot tea, I'll usually go with masala or some other similarly spiced black tea.
For making home made tea lattes, black teas tend to be my go to as well. I've gotten pretty good at making these on the stove with a caramelized sugar base, milk added, then tea steeped in last, though sometimes I'll steep the tea separately while making the carmalized sugar + milk and then mix the two after. Different methods make different flavors which work better or worse depending on the type of tea and the flavors I'm after.
Enough about black teas, let's move on to the rest.
Green tea is also a favorite. I haven't tried as many varieties as, say, black tea, but I've yet to taste one I didn't like. Powdered green tea also has a lot of interesting uses, including making for a tasty ice cream.
Oolong teas are really good too. Not my favorites, but they can be more naturally sweet than black teas which make them a good choice when I want to use less sweetener.
Of the non 'true' teas, there's also a wiiiiiide variety of herbal teas out there and have a multitude of plant sources. But because these teas do not include the camellia sinensis, they're technically a tisane. But mostly we just call them tea anyway.
Chamomile tea is a favorite of these for when I've been having trouble sleeping or have a sore throat. Peppermint is good for cold nights, though it's never been particularly useful to me for an upset stomach as others like to claim. Ginger tea is a much beloved by others, but I actually don't like it unless there's something to cover the flavor. It's not gross, it's just... too much. It's an overwhelming taste in a sensory experience sort of way, so I will pretty much never pick a ginger tea.
Rooibos and hibiscus teas are some more of my favorites for herbal teas. They mix well with fruits for some of my favorite light summer blends.
And now for the great iced vs hot tea debate. I actually really enjoy both. Some teas are better hot and don't taste good cold. Some teas are better cold and don't taste good hot. Many teas taste good both ways, but taste different when made hot vs cold so the version I want will differ usually based on what the weather is like. Though it can also come down to what flavors the temperature brings out in the tea itself, which is why some teas taste better one way or the other.
Fruit teas tends to do very well as cold tea, for example. Peach tea is a common one for both hot and iced teas, but strawberry teas are really excellent for being served both ways too though those I'd argue are best served cold. Black tea tends to be better hot, but on a hot day most black teas are delightful when served iced. And since I live somewhere it can get up to 100 degrees in the summer and stay that way for several days or even weeks, being able to enjoy iced tea is kind of a necessity in order to enjoy tea in the summer at all.

Green Tea vs Hibiscus Tea: Benefits, Differences, and How to Enjoy Both
Tea is still a popular beverage choice for many after thousands of years and has over a thousand varieties, each unique in flavor and health benefits. Two of the most popular drinks are green tea and hibiscus tea. Both are excellent choices, but they differ in terms of taste, nutritional content, and method of consumption. Let's start by examining the pros for each, key differences between the two, and how to incorporate one into your daily lives.
Benefits of Green Tea
Green tea is a liquid extract from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, which is best known for its antioxidant properties. It mainly has catechins, which are further composed of EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate). These antioxidants help reduce the adverse effects of oxidative stress in the human body and block chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease.
Tumblr media
Some of the most excellent health benefits associated with green tea are as follows:
Enhancing Brain Activity: Green tea has minimal amounts of caffeine, which is a mild stimulator. It also contains an amino acid known as L-theanine. L-theanine facilitates better brain activity and attention without causing jitters like the excessive intake of caffeine.
Facilitating Weight Loss: Green tea increases the rate of metabolism in the body, giving a push for burning fats and subsequently managing weight. Regular consumption of green tea alongside a healthy diet helps facilitate weight loss.
Positive Impact on Cardiovascular Diseases Green tea tends to reduce cholesterol levels and blood flow condition, thus offering protection against cardiovascular diseases.
Risk Reduction in Diabetes Type 2: Studies suggest that green tea may increase the body's sensitivity towards insulin and decrease the level of blood sugar, making it very healthy to consume as part of a diabetic diet.
Benefits of Hibiscus Tea
Hibiscus sabdariffa, otherwise known as the Hibiscus flower petals, are used to make Hibiscus tea. This is a caffeine-free herbal tea considered to be rich in vitamin C, minerals, and antioxidants. The bright red color of the tea also gives it a tart cranberry flavor, refreshing and tangy.
Some of the health benefits of Hibiscus tea include
Lowering Blood Pressure: Hibiscus tea, on the other hand, has been more towards lowering blood pressure. A regular consumption of hibiscus tea has significantly lowered both systolic and diastolic blood pressure in people having mild to moderate hypertension according to studies.
Supports Liver Health: Some antioxidants present in hibiscus tea prevent oxidative damage to the liver. Preventing liver disease and overall detoxification can then be promoted.
Aiding Digestion: Hibiscus tea functions as a natural diuretic, which means helping to dissolve excess fluids and aid in digestion. It might also contribute to the reduction of bloating and promoting a healthy gut.
Promoting Weight Loss: In a way similar to green tea, hibiscus tea promotes weight loss by making the metabolism faster and reducing fat absorption. The beverage is calorie-free, which makes it ideal for people looking to lose a few pounds.
The two different types of teas do have some grounds for differences: One is that both teas have health benefits, but there are basic differences between the two:
Caffeine Content: Green tea contains caffeine, hence great for a morning or an afternoon pick-me-up. Hibiscus tea has no caffeine content, making it the right evening brew, especially for those sensitive to caffeine.
Taste Profile: Green tea, as the name suggests, has grassy and bitter flavors, though this might not be the case with high quality and well-prepared green tea. Hibiscus tea, on the other hand, has a tart fruit flavor and sometimes can be said to closely resemble the taste of cranberries or pomegranate.
Nutrient Composition: The antioxidant content of green tea is due to EGCG and L-theanine. Hibiscus tea, on the other hand, is rich in vitamin C and other flavonoids containing anthocyanin. Thus, each of these teas has its own combination of nutrients that is good for the body.
How to Enjoy Green Tea and Hibiscus Tea
Knowing the advantages of both teas, here are some suggestions on how to enjoy them:
Tips for Brewing Green Tea
Use water that's just below boiling (about 170-185°F) to avoid bitterness.
Steep for 2-3 minutes to bring out the flavor without over-brewing.
Try adding a squeeze of lemon or a touch of honey to balance the bitterness.
Since green tea contains caffeine, it is best served in the morning while in the afternoon. However when it is evening hours or after dinner, then the most relaxing tea would be hibiscus tea.
ConclusionBoth green tea and hibiscus tea create different health effects as well as are among the easiest beverages to introduce into your daily routine. Be it a morning caffeine boost or a soothing herbal blend, there's a tea for every mood as well as every goal. Try out various preparations and the best of both worlds will be yours - you'll be grateful.

How Does Tea Burn Work?
At its core, Tea Burn works by optimizing your body's metabolic processes, making it easier to burn fat even without drastic changes to your diet or exercise routine. It contains a blend of carefully selected super-nutrients that work synergistically with tea to improve fat oxidation and help you achieve a leaner physique.
When you drink your daily cup of tea mixed with a Tea Burn packet, the ingredients get to work immediately, activating your metabolism and enabling your body to start burning calories more efficiently. Not only does it promote fat burning, but it also helps control hunger and supports a steady, calm energy flow throughout the day—without the jitters that sometimes come with other weight loss supplements.
The natural compounds in Tea Burn ingredients make it ideal for those who want an easy-to-use solution that aligns with their daily routines. Simply add a packet to your tea in the morning, and let the powerful blend help you shed those extra pounds.
The Science Behind Tea Burn Ingredients
Tea Burn’s effectiveness lies in its carefully formulated blend of natural ingredients, each chosen for its role in promoting fat burning and improving metabolism. Below, we explore the key components of this powerful formula.
1. Chlorogenic Acid
Chlorogenic Acid is one of the star ingredients in Tea Burn. Found naturally in coffee beans, this compound has been shown to improve metabolism, support healthy insulin levels, and regulate blood sugar. By including this ingredient in its formula, Tea Burn helps users maintain better control over their body's response to food, aiding in the prevention of fat storage and promoting fat breakdown.
2. Camellia Sinensis
Camellia Sinensis, commonly known as green tea extract, is well-known for its ability to support fat burning and boost metabolism. It is rich in antioxidants, particularly catechins, which have been proven to enhance thermogenesis—a process that increases the body’s energy expenditure, helping you burn more calories throughout the day. Additionally, green tea extract supports heart health, making it a multi-functional ingredient for both fat loss and overall well-being.
3. Chromium
Chromium is a trace mineral that plays a critical role in supporting metabolism, particularly in how the body processes carbohydrates and fats. It helps regulate blood sugar levels, making it an excellent addition to the Tea Burn formula for those who struggle with sugar cravings or energy crashes throughout the day. By maintaining stable insulin levels, chromium helps reduce the storage of fat and supports continuous energy.
4. L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine is an amino acid that helps the body convert fat into energy. This ingredient is particularly beneficial for those looking to burn stored fat and use it as fuel for daily activities. L-Carnitine not only aids in fat burning but also supports nutrient absorption, ensuring that your body gets the most out of the foods you consume.
5. L-Theanine
L-Theanine is another amino acid that complements the stimulant effects of tea by providing a calming influence. While caffeine in tea can promote alertness and energy, L-Theanine helps reduce any feelings of anxiety or jitteriness. This balance of energy and calm makes it easier to stay focused and productive throughout the day, while also keeping hunger in check.
6. Vitamin Complex
Finally, Tea Burn contains a potent blend of essential vitamins that support immune function, natural energy, and overall well-being. This vitamin complex ensures that your body remains strong and energized while undergoing fat loss, preventing common deficiencies that can slow down weight loss efforts.
The Benefits of Using Tea Burn
By incorporating Tea Burn into your daily routine, you can expect a variety of benefits beyond just fat loss. Below are some of the key advantages that users experience when using Tea Burn consistently:
1. Accelerated Metabolism
One of the primary benefits of Tea Burn is its ability to speed up your metabolism. This allows your body to burn calories more efficiently, even while at rest. A faster metabolism means that you can lose weight without needing to drastically cut calories or engage in long, grueling workout sessions.
2. Increased Fat Burning
Thanks to its scientifically proven ingredients like chlorogenic acid and green tea extract, Tea Burn enhances your body's ability to burn fat, particularly in stubborn areas like the belly. By activating fat oxidation, Tea Burn makes it easier to target those hard-to-lose areas.
3. Steady Energy Throughout the Day
Unlike other weight loss products that cause energy spikes and crashes, Tea Burn delivers a calm and steady energy boost that lasts throughout the day. This means no more mid-afternoon slumps or sugar cravings that sabotage your weight loss efforts.
4. Appetite Control
One of the biggest challenges in losing weight is dealing with constant hunger and cravings. Tea Burn helps control your appetite, reducing the urge to snack between meals. This makes it easier to stick to a healthy eating plan without feeling deprived.
5. Improved Focus and Mental Clarity
The combination of L-Theanine and caffeine in tea provides a powerful cognitive boost. Tea Burn enhances this effect, helping you stay focused, alert, and productive throughout the day.
6. Enhanced Immune Function
Tea Burn’s vitamin complex supports your immune system, ensuring that your body stays healthy and strong while you lose weight. This is especially important for those who may experience nutritional deficiencies during weight loss.
7. Supports Overall Well-Being
By improving metabolism, controlling hunger, and providing essential nutrients, Tea Burn supports overall well-being. It helps you feel better both physically and mentally, making the weight loss process more enjoyable and sustainable.

From Promise to Performance: The Raw
The Raw marks my first venture into local skincare brands. I had always been cautious about homegrown products, having encountered too many 'timbang kilo' options in the market. It’s no secret how risky those can be. But The Raw has quickly made its mark as a standout brand, earning a place not only in Malaysia’s beauty scene but also in my heart. It’s genuinely refreshing to see a local brand setting a new standard with its focus on quality and effectiveness.
Cleanser
Rough & Bumpy Ceramides Cleanser (Oily-Combination Skin)
Target concerns: Damaged skin barrier, sensitive skin.
Ingredients Overview: Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Propylene Glycol, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Niacinamide (1%), Ceramide EOP, Ceramide NS, Ceramide NP, Ceramide AS, Ceramide AP, Hydrocotyle Asiatica (Centella Asiatica) Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis (Chinese Skullcap) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol, 2.3 Butanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Cholesterol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Glyceryl Stearate, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydroxyacetophenone, Salicylic Acid (0.5%), Lactic Acid, Tetrasodium EDTA, Methylchloroisothiazolinone & Methylisothiazolinone.
Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have worked my way through two bottles of this cleanser, and honestly, each one lasted a good 3-4 months, depending on how much I used. It has easily become one of my go-to cleansers, and I cannot deny how much I enjoyed it. But being a dry skin girlie I am, I quickly learned that using this on the same day as my exfoliator was a big no-no. The combination of both was just too much for my skin barrier to handle. Even on days I wasn’t exfoliating, I found I had to limit this cleanser to 2-3 times a week for it to work best without causing any irritation.
2. Hydrating Ceramides Cleanser (Dry Skin)
Target concerns: Damaged skin barrier, sensitive skin.
Ingredients Overview: Aqua, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cetyl Alcohol, Propylene Glycol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Niacinamide, Squalane, Butylene Glycol, Ceramide NP, Ceramide NS, Ceramide AS, Ceramide AP, Ceramide EOP, Hydrocotyle Asiatica (Centella Asiatica) Extract, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis (Chinese Skullcap) Root Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Cholesterol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Glyceryl Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, 2.3 Butanediol, Dipropylene, Hydroxyacetophenone, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin.
Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This cleanser feels almost like applying a moisturizing lotion—just in the form of a cleanser. It is incredibly gentle and does a fantastic job of keeping my skin from feeling parched, which is absolutely essential. That said, between this cleanser and Nuuha’s, I lean towards Nuuha solely because of its foamy texture.
Moisturizer
Daily Ceramide Moisturizer
Target concerns: Damaged skin barrier.
Ingredients Overview: Water, Glycerin, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Pentylene Glycol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer, Vinyl Dimethicone, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Squalane, Allantoin, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hydroxyacetophenone, Centella Asiatica Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Polygonum Cuspidatum Root Extract, Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ceramide NP, Sodium Phytate, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Silica, Sorbitan Isostearate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Ceteareth-25, Cetyl Alcohol, Sodium PCA, Urea, Behenic Acid, Cholesterol, Ceramide NS, Trehalose, Ceramide EOP, Ceramide AP, Polyquaternium-51, Hexylene Glycol, Ceramide EOS, Caprooyl Phytosphingosine, Caprooyl Sphingosine, Caprylyl Glycol, Triacetin, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Sodium Hyaluronate, Potassium Hyaluronate, Dimethylsilanol Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, PEG-9 Diglycidyl Ether/Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate Dimethylsilanol, Propanediol, Sodium Benzoate.
Verdict: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
This gem is an absolute game-changer for anyone struggling with a compromised skin barrier. I cannot rave enough about how it has become an essential part of my skincare routine <3
From the moment you apply it, you will notice how effortlessly it glides on. Its non-greasy, lightweight formula feels like a breath of fresh air. There’s no heavy residue—just pure, nourishing goodness. What sets this moisturizer apart is its powerhouse blend of 7 types of ceramides, essential fatty acids, and cholesterol. My skin has never felt so balanced and supple, and I have genuinely seen a noticeable improvement in its texture and overall health.
For anyone grappling with dry, sensitive, or damaged skin, this moisturizer is nothing short of a miracle. It’s a must-have in your skincare arsenal. Trust me—your skin will thank YOU!

A Guide to Camellia Sinensis
Dear students, allow me to share a small glimpse into the world of tea, a beverage that has brought comfort and joy to countless souls for millennia. The heart of true tea lies in the Camellia sinensis plant, a highly cultivated plant native to East Asia.
Tumblr media
From the lush fields of China to the mist-kissed mountains of India, this plant has been cultivated with great care, its leaves steeped in hot water to create a beverage of unparalleled beauty and complexity.
The cut of the tea leaf plays a significant role in its flavor and character. Whole leaves, broken leaves, fannings, and dust each offer a unique experience, from the robust to the delicate.
Whole leaves, for instance, provide a full-bodied flavor and a long-lasting infusion, making them a popular choice for those seeking a traditional tea experience.
Broken leaves, on the other hand, offer a more intense flavor and a quicker steeping time, making them ideal for those who prefer a stronger brew.
Fannings and dust, the smallest particles of tea, offer a rapid infusion and a concentrated flavor, perfect for those who are short on time or simply desire a strong cup of tea.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pictured above: Taylor's English Breakfast tea on the left and Taylor's Earl Grey on the right, to demonstrate the visual difference between whole and cut.
The preparation process, from the gentle steeping of Chinese gongfu cha to the robust brewing techniques of Western tea culture, can dramatically alter the taste and aroma of your tea.
Chinese gongfu cha, for example, involves using small, porcelain teapots and cups, and steeping the tea for very short periods of time. This method allows for a more delicate and nuanced flavor profile.
Western tea culture, on the other hand, often involves steeping tea in larger teapots for longer periods of time, resulting in a bolder and more robust flavor.
I invite you, students, to embark on a journey of tea discovery. Explore the vast world of Camellia sinensis, from the subtle nuances of white tea to the bold flavors of black tea. With each sip, you may find a new appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.
Now, let us delve deeper into the popular cuts of tea and their preferred preparation methods.
White Tea:
Cut: Often consists of young whole leaves or buds that have been minimally processed.
Preparation: Gentle steeping in cool water for a short period to preserve its delicate flavor and light color.
Flavor: Known for its subtle, floral, and slightly sweet taste.
Green Tea:
Cut: Typically consists of whole leaves or broken leaves that have been steamed or pan-fried to prevent oxidation.
Preparation: Steeping in hot water for a short period to retain its fresh, grassy flavor and vibrant green color.
Flavor: Varies widely depending on the specific type of green tea, but often characterized by a clean, grassy, or vegetal taste.
Oolong Tea:
Cut: Can vary from whole leaves to broken leaves, but is often partially oxidized, resulting in a unique flavor profile between green and black teas.
Preparation: Steeping in hot water for a longer period, allowing the leaves to fully bloom and release their complex flavors.
Flavor: Offers a wide range of flavors, from floral and fruity to nutty and earthy.
Black Tea:
Cut: Typically consists of broken leaves or fannings that have been fully oxidized.
Preparation: Steeping in boiling water for a longer period to extract its strong, bold flavors.
Flavor: Known for its rich, full-bodied taste, often with notes of chocolate, caramel, or spice.
Each type of tea offers a unique experience, and the best way to appreciate their individual qualities is to experiment with different preparation methods and steeping times. So, dear mortals, I encourage you to embark on a journey of tea discovery and savor the beauty of Camellia sinensis.
Various definitions:
First Flush: The first cuttings of the plant in early spring, often yielding a higher quality tea.
Silver Tips: A white tea made from the delicate buds of a tea plant.
Tumblr media
Below is a table indicating steep times:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notes:
This table provides a general guideline. Steeping time and temperature can vary depending on the specific tea and desired flavor strength.
Some teas, like white tea, benefit from multiple short infusions instead of a single long steep.
Experiment with different steeping times and temperatures to find your perfect cup.
Water temperature is crucial. Using water that is too hot can burn the tea leaves, resulting in a bitter taste.
The more water is heated, the more oxygen is released from the water. The oxygen is important to bring out the flavor of your tea, so please be vigilant as to not exceed your water temperature. A great tool for novices and experts alike would be a temperature controlled electric kettle.
Tumblr media
In addition to the cut of the tea leaf and the preparation method, the quality of the water used can also significantly impact the taste of your tea. Soft, mineral-free water is generally preferred for tea brewing, as it allows the delicate flavors of the tea to shine through without being overwhelmed by strong mineral tastes.
A good starting point would be mountain spring water or filtered water, specifically with as neutral a pH as possible. Distilled water is not recommended, although neutral in pH, lacks the oxygen needed to bring out the sublime flavor in tea.
Hard water, on the other hand, contains high levels of minerals, such as calcium and magnesium. These minerals can react with the tannins in tea, creating a bitter or astringent taste. While some people may enjoy the added flavor complexity that hard water can impart, it is generally best to use soft water for optimal tea flavor.
If you live in an area with hard water, consider using a water filter or a mineral remover to soften the water before brewing your tea. This can make a noticeable difference in the taste and overall quality of your beverage.
Tumblr media
Next subject will include flavor infused teas such as Jasmine, Earl Grey, and Fruit teas.

Tumblr media
This mask contains 25 grams (0.88 oz) and has no fragrance.
Tumblr media
The sheet mask is made of 100% natural cotton and it is structured to increase the absorption rate and adhere to the skin. The mask itself has a decent fit, but I need to adjust the eye holes and mouth hole.
Recommended use is to wash your face and then remove the sheet mask from the package. Place sheet mask properly aligning eye and nose areas and leave on for 10-20 minutes. Remove the sheet mask and massage excess serum into the skin. This sheet mask is cruelty-free, non-GMO, fragrance-free, and vegan-friendly. After using, I think this is the perfect mask for people with sensitive skin, it's fragrance-free as mentioned and the mask is made of 100 percent natural material. The mask is very saturated in essence but there isn't a lot of extra left after you take out the mask. The essence is very nourishing and hydrating and the ingredients are free of irritants. The mask itself is good for all sorts of skin issues from hydration to soothing irritation to anti-aging. The quality of the mask is great however it does take some adjusting on the face. I'd definitely recommend this to people with sensitive skin as well as to people with irritated and inflamed skin.
What I like: this mask is great for sensitive skin, has no fragrance, and is 100 percent natural unbleached cotton. The ingredient list is irritant free and it's wonderful at hydrating and soothing the skin. The price for these masks is also very reasonable and if you have prime, it comes super fast. What I don't like: nothing.
Pros:
Hydrating
Soothing
Nourishing
Fragrance-free
Sensitive skin friendly
Vegan
Cruelty-free
Cons:
none
Would I buy again?
Yes
Rating: 10/10
