Are you still doing the voice actor thing? If so, what do you have to say about Mark P. Whitten? Btw, am i the only one that thinks that Fomortiis could have gotten another voice actor instead of Mark?

OKAY YES, I KNEW I WASN’T THE ONLY ONE. YOU’RE NOT THE ONLY ONE EITHER. Look, I love Mark’s acting, that man was destined to play Seteth and his Lyon voice is perfect, as someone whose first game was Sacred Stones. That being said, THIS IS A DAMN DEMON MONSTER!!!! He’s doing his best as it is, and yes it’s serviceable, but Mark isn’t some deep-voiced guy like Jamieson Price or Chris Judge (Kratos in the recent GoW); his voice is lighter and quieter. At least it’s not a complete miscast like Greg Chun was for Thors in Vinland Saga.

But back to the point, Mark P. Whitten is, as we discussed, Seteth, Lyon, Hrid, and Fomortiis.

I think Mark’s performances are fantastic. It’s absolutely criminal that we haven’t had a Seteth alt yet, because I think that’s what we need more of (put the boobs down for a second PLEASE, IS). Fallen Lyon is also one of his best performances because DAMN there’s so much energy going on there. I remember back when Hrid’s voice lines were uploaded, there was a lot of surprise at the pitch of Mark’s voice but a lot of people were happy overall.

And like we’ve been talking about, he fits everyone… except Fomortiis. This isn’t Mark’s fault at all but damn do I think it wasn’t the right choice.

Now, Mark’s range is… Not the strongest. I’m not saying it to be an asshole, but it’d be super unfair of me to criticize Greg Chun for his range and not say anything about Greg’s. But I also feel like Mark’s performances for each character more than make up for it.

I’d say Mark is an 8/10, and I want to see more Seteth! Give us the Duo Seteth/Flayn unit we’ve been wanting!

Toronto native Greg Gow has been steadily building a formidable reputation as one of Canada’s greatest musical exports in recent years. Consistently pushing the boundaries of his art, Greg’s unique “Torontroit” sound is a skilful hybrid of soulful Detroit techno, marinated in the flavours of his Toronto roots. Greg is one of Canada’s most respected techno ambassadors, regularly playing alongside the behemoths of dance music. On his home turf, he has a residency at Toronto’s Coda, having also been resident at Guvernment, with recent DJ gigs in Japan, Germany, Italy, Holland, Mexico and South America; In the USA Greg has also made appearances in Miami, Detroit, New York, Chicago and San Diego.
