A dedication to man’s best friend, GONE TO THE DOGS is the result of a surprise collaboration between renowned UK pianist Greg Foat, bassist Paul Armfield and drummer Ken Black. Greg had initially booked Red Squirrel studios for another project but was left alone in the last minute, luckily Paul and Ken came to the rescue and this is the result, 4 original tracks – completely improvised with a strong groove backbone and Greg on the Rhodes spicing it up with additional Roland Juno 106 interplay. A surprisingly fresh listen! Limited to 500 copies, UK type sleeve and laminated front, these won’t stay around for long.

Another MASSIVE episode of Technicolor here. Last September, 2019. Piero Piccioni starts with a dramy Eros in Hiro, follow by Edda Dell’Orso and her masterpiece Kilimangiaro. That record is stunning, it really gets me everytime I play it. 

Not bad at all. Giuliano Sorgini, Library Maestro and refined producer, follows up with Oasi Nella Giungla, ACE record, recently repressed by Four Flies Records. 

I spent last summer in Italy, playing Library, Jazz, Soundtracks all over the country, it was magic. I played in Perugia, Umbria, during Umbria Jazz, the very same night Lauren Hill was playing. I did enjoy it. 

This show is very jazzy, but among all the songs I would like to mention this record by the very talented Greg Foat, which I deeply admire. 

perhaps one of the records of 2019. exellent indeed.
