I also watched Gumraah (2023).

The idea was really amazing and I was really curious about other such real-life cases which they listed out at the end of the movie too. I'll see if there are more shows with a similar theme.

The movie itself was kinda average but still watchable on a slow weekend evening. I find the long song scenes with a montage of romantic scenes very useless. I'm surprised Indian movies still do it for Netflix productions. The heroic scenes were kinda cringe too lol but that's also something that these movies seem to love having.

I've been wanting to watch Kathal too, it sounds exciting.

Premiere of the Gumrah trailer: Mrunal Thakur on his portrayal of a tough cop: "There are a lot of colours, a lot of ups and downs"

The movie is being made by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Murad Khetani's Cine1 Productions under the direction of first-time director Vardhan Ketkar.

The movie Gumraah will debut on April 7 in theatres.

The trailer for Gumraah, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Mrunal Thakur, was released on March 23. Unmissable drama, tonnes of spins, and a mystery that will be revealed on April 7, 2023 are all teased in the trailer. Aditya plays two roles in Gumraah, and Mrunal makes her acting debut as a female police officer.

At the trailer's premiere, the actress stated that she is playing a tough cop. "There is a responsibility when you play a cop. I played a firm character for the first time. It's difficult to play a cop. But I like how my character is written. There are many shades and many ups and downs. "It was difficult," Thakur said to reporters on Thursday.

"There were times when I'd go to Vardhan (Ketkar, director) and say, 'I don't think I can do it,' and he'd say, 'you got this.'" "And because my voice is sometimes sweet, we had to be firm," she added.

"My family belongs to the police department, and it was nice to go back to them, take some anecdotes, listen to their stories, and incorporate them into my character," she added.

The film is directed by debutant Vardhan Ketkar and produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Murad Khetani's Cine1 Studios. Gumraah will be released in theatres on April 7, 2023.
