If your Hound ends up having a deep platonic or romantic relationship with Gwyar, they are the person Gwyar would sacrifice the world to. They are the one Gwyar would get in danger for (if they aren't romantically involved with Arthur in the poly, Gwyar would harbor that raw love only for your MC).

Gwyar is accustomed to care for others, but at the same time they have always prioritised themselves (well, their own mental and physical good) when it comes to it, even if it tore them apart. MC would be the only one Gwyr would sacrifice themselves for without second thoughts.

... that's a great power to have over them.

Face Model: Gwyar from The King's Hound

My take of Female Gwyar from Interactive Fiction called "The King's Hound" by @the-kingshound @kal-down.

Of all the cast, I imagine her features to be more on the cute and pretty side, sitting somewhere in the middle of 'soft' and 'sharp.' Intelligent hazel eyes, straight dark hair, guarded yet amiable face.

I like that she has both the (professional) friendliness to make people feel at ease, yet has the wits and snark to catch them off guard. Playing a cold, mute MC against Female Gwyar is very satisfying. And goodness, this is just the first few chapters... Can't wait for more to come.

I love my character Gwyar Cypress

I really wanna show you all Gwyar from my Bloodlines WIP, which a co-written with my friend/artist that does my Arigale artwork. Seriously, she's so hot. I think she is the hottest character I ever made. She's suave, she's cold-blooded against dicks, she's a singer at a tavern, she murders people she knows are up to no good by luring them to her house, usually drunk. She handles her own alcohol well. She's sultry and pan and knows what she wants and needs. She's got some deep seated trauma. She's a weird sort of half-born fae concept I made based somewhat on alraune myth (at least of their creation kinda) as well that makes her fae wings somewhat formed from viscera. She doesn't know much about herself and masquerades as a half-elf because it's easier with her ears and with wings hidden. She's got so much blood on her hands and no regrets. She looks like a goddess. I only have a sketch right now and it is planned to be colored and all at some point, but here.

(art by @fracturedfable - Twitter/dA) Also, her name has meaning like all my WIPs. Gwyar - Bloodshed Cypress - The type of tree she has a spiritual connection to on the hill outside town. A tree often planted around funeral plots. They are a classical symbol of mourning, but also they are a symbol for everlasting life. She carries on the wills of people who died in the town wrongfully and avenges them. Hopefully I have some colored art and can work on her Bloodlines WIP page more by end of the month as planned.

this is my durge, gwyar. he is very pretty. he's also what i would call a murder himbo. because his characterization is born of me impulse selecting the evilest options available at any given time. he may be stupid. he may be murderous. but i just kind of like him, idk. like he's the playthrough i've gotten furthest in. thankfully, astarion, lae'zel, and minthara have found it within their hearts to put up with him

Your chambers are not empty when you get back after a long session with the Council. Gwyar stands near your bed, their back to the door, a cascade of dark hair messier than you have ever seen them have in public, and they don't turn when you close the door.

Something in the depth of your stomach stirs, twisting and coiling into a worry that burns your throat as you say, "... Gwyar. My darling."

Gwyar still doesn't move.

You force your mind to remain grounded, because cearly Gwyar needs you.

It is when you reach the bed that Gwyar turns, their face mostly covered by locks of unkempt hair, but you can see their reddened, downcasted eyes just as Gywar wraps their arms around you and cries.

You hold them until they stop.

That evening, they bring supper for the both of you in your room and you eat in silence. They don't tell you what's wrong. But when you dress for bed, they slip under the blankets with you and curl up close, and you know you are their safe place.

In order, it's Mythil Dwin'arnith, Trickery Domain Cleric🎭; Vanessa Lovely, Grave Domain Cleric🪦; Adelaide Briarheart, Light Domain Cleric☀️; and Fiala Gwyar, who is currently an Oath of Vengeance Paladin🗡️ but I'm thinking of playing her as a Berserker Barbarian‼️ next time! :3

Dronia was tending to Inkblot when Gwyar came running toward her tent, urgency in both his step and his voice. Maybe even genuine concern. But he had fooled her before, feigning to be a kind and good soul, her trust had not yet been repaired. A dark brow quirked, the woman shot him a look, still uncertain if she should believe him after everything.

"If this is a ploy to lead me away from the others..." She would not allow him to manipulate her or play with her emotions again. "He was here not even an hour ago."

Ooooh! Feel like telling me a little about "Bloodlines Duology"? It's giving me vampire vibes and you can't go wrong with vampire vibes :D <3

Of course I can~ Though, Made to Taste is my WIP that actually has vampires and stars a dhampir. Bloodlines has a main character that does have some of the vibes like blood giving some powers, being sexy, and a sort of secretive/manipulative killing tactic. This is Gwyar Cypress, and she's one of two main characters. She's comething she just calls a corrupted, as she knows she is somewhat like the wood nymphs and fae of that sort that never show around society, but she's also estranged from that world and hides to blend into the normal one. She only recalls being brought to life fully grown and alert some years ago under the large cypress tree outside the town she lives in. She was covered in blood and had to learn a lot from a family of woodworkers that took her in. Without spoiling too much, something occurs over those years she cannot abide and she finds out she does have memories, memories tied to al the people who died in and around this town and that tree she was born from. She was meant to be a normal nymph or something she feels, but the blood steeped in this land corrupted her, so she goes on a revenge quest with the powers she finds she has to rid the city of violent criminals the hard way. Some of her powers include: can show her bloodstained wings and fly, can lick blood from someone and be able to track them for a while, can make blood pacts the other person cannot betray at risk of immediate death, and a couple more. She's pretty good with knives. She takes on a job at a tavern called Hightide and is a songstress there for her occupation. Her voice draws a big crowd of both regulars and people passing through, so it allows her to gather information and scope out newcomers to the town and make sure all is well. If it's not, she has no reservations on killing. It's a trade town, so a lot of people come by day to day. Here's a sketch of Gwyar herself.

There is also the other protag she calls Luith (his name is super long) who is a half orc half elf bard who joins up for the adventure~ He's sweet and tries to help with her figuring out more about who and what she is and there's a nice romance of two outsiders because of how they were born and look. Here's a picture of Luith. He is my friend's character (the one who does the art for Arigale and will do the art for this as well - Fractured Fable) and she is going to write this WIP with me as a collaboration. They are also working on their own series of novels too!
