I feel Diantha, Wikstrom, and Drasna are way too young with the ages these gave, but I feel most of these are probably fairly early concepts. Furthering this, if the translation is anywhere near accurate, Malva initially looked very different, being a blonde in a white, red, and blue dress, and Clemont was a brunette (which funnily enough, his father from the anime ended up having brown hair.)
But I really like that Siebold had lunch with Lysandre and Sycamore before (separate occasions or did he kinda third wheel on a lunch date?), and how they talk about how people are surprised with the difference between the calm personality Malva has when she's reporting the news, and her violent, true personality.

"Hey champ in the making, you made it to the final gym, congratuations! However, I don't have any advice for you other than to go for it. Nonetheless, I am rooting for you!" - NPC found at the start of the gyms.
Across from you were Giovanni, Blue, Clair, Wallace, Juan, Volkner, Drayden, Iris, Marlon, Wulfric, Raihan and Grusha, all eager to for the challenge. You held your Pokeball with tension and excitement. Are you ready?
Hooo boy, its been a while since I posted any fanart. But here it is, a battle against these final gym leaders before the League.
(Yes, I am aware some of them are weak, but I don't care.)

Heyyyyy it’s the last part to my Genderbent XY Gym Leaders concepts!!!
Glad that I got this whole thing done tbh!!! I had to take a break since I was getting more frustrated and was lacking ideas, but now I got all eight of them complete. I had trouble with these two specifically to make interesting outfits that didn’t stray too far from the original stuff, but I do like what I have done.
Olympia’s genderbent: Instead of the cape, I changed it to sashes as they reminded me of comet tails. I made them white-blue like the stars in the original cape. I made the main outfit purple to bring back the colours in the cape (I think it would look SUPER good with deeper colours, but it would not contrast well with the dark pants). The main struggle was the hair, as Olympia’s hair is super unique in shape. Orion as a name was picked cuz haha ✨space vibes✨
Wulfric’s genderbent: Honestly a lot of the major parts are still kept the same, but some colour adjustments here and there. The side hair is references from Wufric’s moustache, and the ponytail is spiky like the original fur collar (I removed it since there was just A LOT of things at the neck area that it would’ve looked distracting). Leaned towards more red to represent warmth/kindness that she has. She’s like…a very loud furnace LOL.

Whether it's bc you hated their battle, don't find them particularly interesting or memorable, don't care for their design, or just overall don't like their character

I think Wulfric is actually poke-Canadian. Which I guess makes sense cause Kalos is France.

Fixing Kalos gym leaders & elite 4
It's no secret that Pokemon X and Y are very easy games and part of the reason is that the bosses are pretty underwhelming. So as a thought experiment, I decided to examine how to power them up my upgrading their teams. I think that the gym leaders should showcase the new Pokemon and gimmicks of their region, so I'll be taking that into account. I also want all the leavers and E4 to have a proper 6-member postgame rematch team so I'll be doing those too. I will be restricting my choices of Pokemon to those available in X and Y.
First is Viola, the bug-type leader. 2 Pokemon is a good team size for a first gym leader as they're the introduction to gyms for new players. I think Viola's team is alright for a first gym. Surskit prevents you from sweeping with a fire-type (possibly the first and only time in the franchise a Surskit has been useful) and Vivillon to showcase the regional bug is good. If you want to upgrade her, swapping Surskit for Dwebble would serve the same purpose, but arguably be better at it. It could also have a ground-type move to keep players from sweeping with Pikachu. For her rematch team she can keep Vivillon, but will not be keeping Masquerain as two mediocre bug-flying types is not great for a rematch team. Her rematch team will be Vivillon, Crustle (who can set up stealth rocks to counter flying types), Escavalier (as a good bug/steel type who gets overshadowed by Scizor), Heracross, Scolipede, and Mega Pinsir. By the postgame, all the rematch teams can safely have a mega-evolving ace.
Next is Grant, the rock-type leader. His team is really cool with it being the two Kalos fossils. Two members is a bit weak given how long you have to play to get to his gym, so he'll get a third member. In keeping with the fossil theme, this third Pokemon will be Aerodactyl, who is also available to players by this point in the game. His postgame team will be Auroros, Tyrantrum, Aggron, Barbaracle (to counter ground-types), Tyranitar, and Mega Aerodactyl.
The third gym leader is Korrina the fighting-type leader. Her in-game team is notorious for being sweepable by any ghost type as only her Machoke has a move that isn't either normal or fighting type. That needs to change. Her Hawlucha can stay, but I'm swapping her Machoke out for a Pangoro to counter ghosts and to showcase a gen VI fighting-type. Her ace will be a mega-evolving Lucario. This fits with the story as Korrina is the one who introduces the player to mega evolution and streamlines the game by having her show mega evolution to you in her gym battle instead of a separate battle that is incredibly easy to win. Her rematch team will be Hawlucha, Pangoro, Toxicroak, No Guard Machoke, Pure Power Medicham, and Mega Lucario.
Next is Ramos, the grass-type leader. At this point I'm going to ignore the fact that X and Y only let gym leaders have 3 Pokemon. By this point in the game, players can handle more of a challenge. I'm going to evolve his Weepinell to Victreebel and have it act as a poison spikes and leech seed setter. Then he'll have Trevenant, Ludicolo (to counter fire-types), and his ace will be Mega Venusaur. His rematch team will be Victreebel, Ferrothorn, Ludicolo, Rotom Mow, Chesnaught, and Mega Venusaur.
Clemont, the electric-type leader is next. I think his canon team isn't that bad. I'll keep Magneton and Heliolisk, swap his Emolga for a Lanturn, and his ace will be Mega Ampharos. For his rematch team he will have Magnezone, Heliolisk, Lanturn, a Rotom that will change type randomly each rematch, Jolteon, and Mega Ampharos.
Valarie was pretty lame for being the gym leader to showcase the brand-new fairy type. Let's fix that. She can keep Mr. Mime and lead with it to set up screens. She can also keep Sylveon as it was the face of the fairy type. Then she'll have Florges and her ace will be Mega Mawile. Her rematch team will be Mr. Mime, Sylveon, Florges, Huge Power Azumarill, Klefki, and Mega Mawile.
The Psychic-type leader Olymoia has a really cool gym design, but she's no Sabrina in terms of difficulty. She can keep her Sigilyph, but the rest of her team will change. She will have Contrary Malamar, Alakazam, and Mega Medicham. Her rematch team will be Contrary Malamar, Gardevoir, Alakazam, Starmie, Sigilyph, and Mega Medicham.
Ice as a late-game gym leader tye is always a hard sell and Wulfric is no Candice. I'm going to increase his team to five and give him Cloyster, Mamoswine, Weavile, Avalugg, and mega Abomasnow. His rematch team will add Jynx to that lineup.
The elite four will all have their teams increase to five members and will all get a mega evolution for their ace.
Malva's team is not bad, but it could be better. She can keep her Torkoal and have it use Sunny day for setup (Torkaol didn't get Drought as an ability yet) and she can keep her Chandelure and get Gale Wings on her Talonflame. Her team will then include Rotom heat and Mega Charizard X. Her rematch team will add a Delphox to all that.
Siebold is probably the only really challenging member of the Kalos E4. I also really like the theme of edible animals in his team and want to keep that around, so the only change I'll make is adding a Mega Blastoise as his ace for a final team of Clawitzer, Starmia, Barbaracle, Gyarados, and Blastoise. His rematch team will then get a Greninja.
Wikstrom's team is also pretty good. I'll swap his Probopass out for a Bisharp and give him Mega Aggron. I will swap his Aegislash for Magnezone as I'm going to use Aegislash later and don't want to double-up for the E4. His final team is Klefki, Bisharp, Scizor, Magnezone, and Aggron. His rematch team will give him back Aegislash.
Drasna's team doesn't need much work either. I'll swap her Altaria for a Kingdra and Druddigon for Haxorus, Keep Dragalge and Noivern, and give her Mega Garchomp as an ace. Her rematch team will add Salamence.
Diantha was infamous as one of the weaker champions until Geeta came along. I do like that most of her team are new Pokemon and will keep that in mind. Her Mega Gardevoir ace can stay, as can Goodra and Hawlucha. From there I'll add Contrary Malamar and Aegislash. As for her 6th team member, I might cheat a bit and give her Zygarde 10% form. The Zygarde 10 and 100% forms didn't debut in the games until gen VII, but their appearance in the anime showed that they were already planned out and likely would have showed up in the cancelled Pokemon Z. This could be the player's first introduction to Zygarge and could lead into a postgame sidequest to get Zygarge 50% with Diantha's help. If you don't want to use Zygarde 10%, then Greninja would also work.
Let me know what you thought of these revised teams. I may also do this for some other generations (I have thoughts about a revised Geeta team)
