Gunil felt like today was something, but he didn’t know what.

“Oh, Gunil I thought you wouldn’t be here till a bit later since it’s y/n’s birthday,” Seungmin said as he caught Gunil out in the hall before he entered the studio. Crap that’s what he was forgetting. How could I do this? I’m a horrible boyfriend, he thinks.

“We- we’re celebrating later. I’m leaving early today,” Gunil sputtered out, quickly heading inside. Once inside he whips out his phone to call you.

“Y/n I’m so sorry,” he apologized right when you picked up.

“About what?” you asked.

“For being a horrible boyfriend. I forgot today was your birthday,” He tells you. You can hear in his voice how bad he feels.

“Well you remember now, so it’s ok,” you told him.

“ I’ll make it up to you. I’m coming home early today. We can do whatever you want to celebrate, ok?” He asks.

“Sounds good, I’ll see you at home. Love you,” your last two words send waves of relief over Gunil.

“Love you too,” he says, hanging up the phone. He puts your birthday in his calendar on his phone, so this could never happen again.

Jungsu

Jungsu had to get up early for a schedule today. He was currently on his way to that schedule when his phone went off with a text from you. It read, “Happy Anniversary! 🥰 💛 I know you have an early schedule today, but you’re still free after right?”. How could he forget what today was? He feels horrible. He’ll make today an amazing anniversary to make up for it. He starts with texting you back. “Happy Anniversary my love 💜 The only thing I have to do after schedules is be with you :)” he sends. Whilst out at schedules he plans how to make your guys' anniversary special. Jungsu ordered flowers that he’ll pick up on his way back home. He plans a very romantic picnic out at the “secret spot” the two of you discovered. Pulls some strings to have some friends help set it up. After his schedules are over he rushes to the secret spot to finish setting everything up, making sure that’s perfect. He picks up the flowers he ordered before going home to meet you and surprise you with everything he set up. You’d never know that he forgot today was your anniversary.

Gaon/Jiseok

“Jiseok do you want to do anything in particular tomorrow?” You questioned him. The two of you were currently lounging in your room after having dinner together. 

“No, why?” he returned.

“Since it’s our anniversary I was just wondering if there was anything specific that you wanted to do.” you told him. Jiseok’s eyes widened; he had totally forgotten that tomorrow was your twos anniversary. You noticed his reaction and found it odd, beginning to suspect him.

“You forgot, didn’t you,” you accused him. 

“W-what? No I didn’t! How dare you accuse me of such a thing?” He acted offended. 

“Jiseok,” you deadpanned. Jiseok gets up from where he was lounging on the bed and comes over to you. He draped himself across you. 

“I’m sorry, I’m a bad boyfriend,” he pouted, looking at you with remorseful eyes. You patted his head. “How about I take you to your favorite restaurant or cafe or wherever you want?” He tried to appease you. You laughed, finding it cute. 

“Ok I hold you to that,” you told him, pointing your finger at him. Jiseok presses a kiss to your finger, smiling at you lovingly.

O.de/Seungmin

One week ago he knew that it was your beforeday. Even three days before he remembered that it was your birthday. However once the actual date came it slipped his mind. It wasn’t until he was about to go run an errand and he saw the present he got you sitting on his desk that he remembered. Suddenly his errand was no longer important, getting to you was. He sent you a message to let you know that he was on his way over. He arrived at your apartment complex and quickly rushed to your apartment. He knocked on the door anxiously waiting for you to open the door. Once you opened the door he threw himself at you in a hug. 

“Y/n, I’m sorry! I know I said I would spend the whole day with you, but when I woke up this morning It completely slipped my mind that today was your birthday. Please forgive me,” he rambled.

“Seungmin, it's ok. You’re here now, that's what I care about,” you told him, hugging him back.

“Here’s your present,” he pulls away from the hug to hand you your present. It was a beautiful necklace. 

“Thank you, I love it,” you expressed.

“I love you,” Seungmin says.

Junhan/Hyeongjun

“Why did your schedules have to get busy around the time of our anniversary?” You pouted. The two of you were sitting on your couch as a show played in the background on the t.v. Hyeongjun had been so busy with work, preparing for the upcoming schedules that he forgot all about it being your anniversary. He feels awful. You’re clearly already a bit upset, so he doesn't want to upset you further by telling you that he forgot about it.

“I know, I’m not happy about it either,” he says. “I’m free Thursday night though. We can celebrate our anniversary then,” he suggested.

“Won’t you be tired though? We can just celebrate after your schedules die down,” you said, but Hyeongjun could tell it disappointed you. Plus he feels like he owes it to you to celebrate as close to your anniversary as possible, especially since he forgot. 

“No, let’s celebrate as close to the real date as possible,” he smiled. “I like being with you anyway, no matter what time it is,” he states. You smiled too, moving over to cuddle him on the couch. He sets your anniversary date in his phone, to ensure he won’t forget again.

Jooyeon

“Jooyeon do you think y/n would like this hoodie?” Jiseok questions him as the two of them were out doing a bit of shopping. 

“Yeah, they like that color. Why?” Jooyeon responds. 

“Because their birthday is coming up and I want to get them a gift,” Jiseok answers. Jooyeon freezes as the realization hits him. Your birthday is in two days and he forgot all about it. 

“Did you forget?” Jiseok interrogates astonished. 

“It’s not that. I just…” Jooyeon can’t think of anything, but admitting that he forgot your birthday would make him look horrible.

“You totally did!” Jiseok shouts. 

“Ok, yes I forgot. I’m a horrible boyfriend. Now help me find the perfect gift for them,” Jooyeon grabs Jiseok by the arm to drag him around in search of finding you the perfect gift. “You better not tell them I forgot either,” he threatened Jiseok. Jiseok held his hands up in surrender. 

“I won’t, but you owe me,” Jiseok told him. Jooyeon ended up buying you multiple gifts. To make up for him forgetting, even though he wasn’t gonna tell you that he forgot. On your birthday if you ask why he got you so many gifts he just says because he loves you so much.

Jiseok sat in the living room while y/n was laying on the couch,upside down. Her boyfriend was sitting on the floor and played some soft tones on his guitar. Nothing specific,just some random melody’s he created right on the spot. „It sounds really nice“ y/n said as she looked at his fingers wich played the chords softly. „Really? You like it?“ he asked and stoped his actions for a second. Y/n nodded again wich made Jiseok smile. „Then I’ll write down the chords and write you a song.“ the girl looked at him with wide eyes and turned her body to sit down normally. „That’s insane baby. I know how busy you are with everything anyway. I don’t want you to overwork yourself…besides that,I’m happy with just the little parts you play now and then.“ her boyfriend laid down his guitar and sat down next to her. „But it would be fun to me.“ he whined and placed his head on her lap. Y/n‘s hands found their way to his hair in an instand,playing with the strains a little while listening to his words carefully. „You work enough. I don’t want you to think when you’re with me you know? I just want you to get rest.“ Jiseok nodded and hummed a bit. The two of them knew that he would still start to write a song and then just show it to you as some kind of present for her birthday or something like that but yet she just wanted to stop thinking about it. She didn’t even have a choice since her mind got blank anyways once she looked at Jiseok closely.

„I love you so much y/n“ he said and smiled softly. „I love you too“ y/n answered and slowly removed a strain of hair out of his perfect face. Jiseok looked at her with stars and hearts in his eyes. There was no person in his life that he adored and loved more than her. They both could spend the whole day just looking at each other and admiring each other. No matter how often and long they looked at the face of their significant other they always found new details.

„Enough staring I’m feeling shy“ Jiseok said after a few minutes. Y/n giggled and kissed him softly. Jiseok returned the kiss and they both ended up in a soft and gentle make out session.

Whatever y/n and Jiseok had,it was special and something they would never want to end.

2023 gifmaker/cc wrapped!

i feel incredibly honored that @taee tagged me to pick my top 10 creations of the year, since i only started giffing right at the very end of 2023!! either that or i'm ridiculous and already have enough gifsets to participate with LOL but here we go!

my very first gif (back from a years' long hiatus): NUGGET TIME

it's nothing special but the most special one at the same time. learning an entirely new technique to do this craft with. had a silly time. i don't even hate the coloring!

this one did not garner many notes at all but it was fun for me to experiment with a style of coloring i wouldn't typically go for. i've always leaned more vibrant but matte is so pretty 💖

a lot of giffing milestones were had with this one. paralleling, blurring logos, blurring moving captions... so i'm very happy this gained some actual traction (for the villain fandom on tumblr i mean; small community lol).

on the flip side, this is the completely opposite of the set above because the agony...of coloring... IT WAS FELT. yet i'm so proud of how everything turned out. the subsequent tae gifset went so well because of all the trial and error here!

next week was gaon's birthday, and y/n was excited, as anyone else would be. they'd been waiting for this day for.. who knows how long. lately he'd been really tired and burnt out from work, but he always tried spending at least an hour with them. even if it was through a call, he wanted to talk to y/n no matter what. 

y/n felt bad talking to him sometimes, since he really should be resting, but he was spending time with them. it made them feel even better about his birthday gift, since they made it with so much love.

crocheting and knitting were things y/n loved doing as a hobby, and eventually as a small business. many people bought your plushies, bags, you name it. anything in your shop, there were sales for it. even though y/n was overflown with custom orders, they put them all on a pause for a good three weeks, just so they could make this gift for him.

from the outside, it looked like an ordinary blue blanket. but, the surprise was in the folds. as each fold was unwrapped, a message from y/n was in it. they wanted to give him a long message, but not in one big paper. once the whole blanket was unwrapped, and the messages were in the right order, that was the full "card." 

the color blue really meant a lot to them. it was their favorite color, and it was able to represent so many things. it can represent happiness, sadness, stress, excitedness, almost anything. gaon always loved blue, and they did too. it was just their "thing." blue rooms, blue backpacks, blue shoes, blue jackets, pencils, you name it.

as the day came, y/n told the members to distract him for the day while you decorated the house, ready for him to come home. it was just going to be the family, so nothing too extreme, but still enough decorations to show that it was a party. they watched some of his insta live of him celebrating his birthday, and they couldn't help but feel even more excited. almost like he was a little kid about to step into a trap. a good one, though.

later, he came home to surprise you all, to find a surprise himself!

"guess who's hooo-" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JISEOK!"

not even fully stepped into the house, he was bombarded into a big, loving, tight hug from his family. 

"jiseok-ah!!! i missed you so much..... i'm so happy you're home!" y/n happily said, still latched onto him."yeah!! perfect timing, actually. we've just finished your cake! want some?" their father asked."oh, really? i'd love to!" gaon said, trying to navigate to the kitchen with them still hugging him. 

"you're not going to let go, are you..?" he asked, slightly laughing. y/n just shook their head, laughing along with him. "of course not. you know how long i've been waiting for this. i got so worried when you didn't call!" "they were... you made them panic a bit." their mother said, happily giggling at the sight of the two.

"mom, can he open my gift first? pleease~!!" y/n pleaded, giving a half puppy-eyes half normal-eyes look. she sighed, "alright, fine. i know you're excited, so i'll let you. don't take too long, okay?" "i promise!!"

and with that, the two ran to the living room, where y/n showed him his gift. "i've been workin' on this for a while, you better like it!" they said jokingly. "i like all your gifts, of course i'll like this one." "nooo, you'll like this one MORE than last year, trust me." gaon looked at them, pretty skeptically. "oh, really now? c'mon, i don't think you can top that plushie." "oh yes i can! this is proof i can."

he quickly opened the huge bag, to see a light blue chucky blanket. he immediately gave them a tight hug, smiling brightly. "oh, y/n... i guess i did doubt you again, didn't i?" "that's not even the whole thing! you gotta unfold it first!" and he did as their instructions said. 

as he slowly unfolded the blanket and revealed the messages, he finally read the whole thing. the two couldn't help but tear up a little bit, but they were happy, and that's what mattered. "i miss you all the time, y/n... thank you, so much for this." "hey, AND you have another gift to show off to the members and villains!" they said, making the two of them start laughing to lighten the mood.

"kids! we're waiting!" their mother said.

"oh, coming mom!"
