Teen Killer Of Her Father Tells Her Story in New Podcast A 2014 headline said it all at the time the Crystal Howell murder case exploded into public view; “Teen kills dad, stuffs his body in a storage bin, buys stripper pole, and hosts parties.” Although these were, and still are, startling facts of the now infamous case of Crystal Howell, there’s so much more to the story. For the past nine years, since she was just 17, Howell has been incarcerated in prison.  A new episode of Spotify’s Best Advice podcast scored an interview coup by sitting down with Rina Sawayama, singer/songwriter and star of John Wick 4. The rising starlet sat down with host Kim Taylor Bennett to talk about how her music career has exploded in the past two years and what it was like starring opposite Keanu Reaves in her very first movie.

Major Cali/ST spoiler out of NM 👀

^From someone in NM. So if this is accurate that modine is filming there, imo that’s p huge spoiler/plot point. It makes sense brenner would have to be behind el getting taken (or if she’s arrested he’d get to her/a possible hand off and then taken to a lab—HLN? A different location?). It also makes sense he’d be the common link behind the El plot and Peter plot. But this raises so many questions like: what exactly is brenner’s relationship to Peter/vecna? Is it really that under Jonathan’s watch, el is both arrested and taken and is that what prompts the road trip—do they know she’s at HLN or think it or what if she is somewhere else! Imagine how Jonathan, Mike, and Will must feel about it happening, plus Joyce when she gets back. Is el looking at Brenner in the teaser? Does her getting arrested (see courthouse pics) tip off Brenner as to where she is, or was he using Peter to draw her out? Etc etc.

It’s int bc I would have thought el was brought to him, but that he from that would seem to directly go to Cali himself.

Genesis Theory (spoiler warning)

We know that Helena was beamed into the Genesis simulation by Diana and Mei-Yin, where Helena then created HLN-A, but then she "left", however, I have a feeling her leaving has something to do with Rockwell. When fighting the final boss of Genesis part 1, Rockwell will tell you that he "can't wait to tell her [Helena] you failed", which implies that he might know where Helena is. Then in the cutscene after you defeat him, HLN-A wakes you up and you're out of the simulation, where Rockwell suddenly appears and grabs you, so what if something similar happened to Helena, and that's why she's gone?

Ok I heard you haven’t seen the Sonic movie yet, but is it ok to discuss it with you?

I haven't an idea of what the plot is beyond the trailers and TV spots, and I'm reeeeeeally hoping when I get to buy the home media release (because the nearest theater playing it is an 80+ mile round trip)

I want to go into it blind because I haven't been able to avoid a Sonic related spoiler since someone someone accidentally spoiled the ending to Sonic Unleashed mere hours after I finally bought the game (so, 2008 was the last time I wasn't told the ending of Sonic related media before I was able to get my hands on it), so, I'm politely asking you to keep your discussion as spoiler free as possible to any twists and "Whoa!" moment because I just want to experience the thrill of suprise for this event. 👀

I mean, this is Sonic's first movie, and I've been a fan of the franchise since I was 2 years old (the first video game played was Sonic 2), so this is a very long awaited event for me, and I really want to be taken for a ride with the story instead of dreading a particular spoiler that I have no context for. I've seen the trailers, TV spots, and reviews, that's all I know (oh, and HLN had a short segment this morning announcing that it was tops in opening weekend, so that's exciting)

Under normal circumstances, I'd be all for the juicy details for a movie I have to wait for, but... Sonic is a special thing to me. He's almost as old as I am. 😅

So, please, no spoilers if you want to discuss the movie with me. I want to be surprised. 🥺
