Harvey telling the farmer it's their time for the annual check up before knowing them for a year is always funny to me. But the fact I keep drawing Asmodeus♡ with a big mouth and fangs made me read the dialogue more like "that's scary, please stop" rather than "okay onto the next part".

rewatching LoK, i'm being reminded how much I dislike the.... the brothers, mako and bolin, yanno? they're such underwhelming characters on basically every level. it'd almost be impressive if they weren't in every episode and didn't annoy me so much ugh

okay so.

Back when the au was first made and before it went on its long hiatus, I said Adam was taken as a child and used as the first test subject for MBT, being the child of Lynn and Jude Murray, who worked at MBT.

Now, he still is. technically the child of Lynn and Jude, but. he was never born. he was grown.

Using DNA from Lynn, Jude, some from Gabriel, and whatever other DNA could fill in the gaps, Gabriel grew a human (mostly) specimen in a tube. being Adam. Took a few months for him to grow to a point where he could be let out of the tube (and sense his growing was accelerated while in the tube, he was aged to like. young toddler at this point.) However, after another few years, Lynn had grown attached to her "son", and wanted him to leave the facility, so she sabotaged the equipment, and let Adam out of the facility to flee into town. Due to this, she was killed, and Jude, who was meant to be looking after Adam, was. met with a worse fate.

So TLDR: Adam was grown in a lab tube and escaped a few years later, meaning he was never fully human in the first place and never knew he wasn't until he was recaptured in 2007.

I know that like when you get better at art there's like more choices being made and so you can't really pump out art like you used to anymore because you know better and blah blah blah but after years of being able to finish a whole piece in a day, having to work on the same drawing for 3 days is a crime what do you MEAN I only made 5 finished drawings this month?? decided to use the beta event to make a mockup of Ruju's appearance as an actual Commander and snap some fun screens. there he's an elementalist (tempest) instead of a necromancer (reaper) and went to the College of Dynamics instead of Synergetics.

despite Ruju's arrogant beginnings, the Infinity Ball incident is a major wakeup call for him-- causing the reckless young asura to reflect on what he really wants out of life and what impact he wants to have on the world. Ruju might not be the ideal leader, fierce and headstrong with a fiery temper and frequently unstable magic, but he's determined to help build a better future than the one he saw.

someday he'll deserve the trust they've invested in him, and he's going to keep on working towards that goal until it's true.
