gotta love not trusting your own memory

#there's a ceramic piece in our room that we made.#allegedly.#i do not remember making it.#at all.#i do not remember sculpting it. i do not remember painting it. i do not remember firing it.#we went to ceramics class in our first year of high school #some of the pieces i can remember. we made several wings that i can remember making. carving out the feathers. experimenting with colors.#but there is a tree stump with pixie homes that i genuinely do not remember ever making.#which is so weird to me #and something i can't talk about #because how do i explain to Normal People that yes i know i made that but i cannot remember any of it

I get often um scolded for painting in an "imitative" way and doing "illustrations" and on some level i do see it as a sort of gap between myself and artists i admire in that regard but also i like toatally dont get how the divide works.

Like apparently the monkey is a "painting" and the fish is an "illustration" because the monkey is painted in a dynamic way and the fish is not? And i kinda struggle to see what that means because for me the difference between the two comes down mainly to the monkey being painted in acrylics and my photo reference already having a certain mood to it on account of the monkey like making a face which immediately connects more than the fish and fish being done in watercolour fom a photo reference that was more static. And apparently its about transforming what you see and out of the two like i feel like i took more liberty with the fish in how different it is from the reference

#barking #and like with both i was showing how i see em... i dont really get it. i get what like the point is #but i dont know why what im doing is wrong and how i should improve it #i got that comment in painting class before and in sculpture class...#in sculpture class it was weird because i waa making trees and the #teacher wanted me to make em rougher so that it looks less like just a tree and more scary #but i wasnt going for scary i was just going for making a tree. but i did like she said and she liked it #i think it does ultimately maybe comes down to the fact that i just dont have anything to say besides i like pretty things

Shout out to folks suffering with eating disorders. I hope you know that whatever body you have is worthy of love, & I hope your next meal is filling.

It's hard to quit, once you start to starve yourself, but even if you can just start small by getting a snack when hungry, I think you can & should break out of that. I've been hungry, in this life, & I don't think anyone deserves what it does to you.

#em.txt #life is tough & i hope everyone who is skipping meals gets a chance to eat at the table instead #but that stuff is mondo tough to get back into the swing of #once you stop eating your body stops trusting you to feed it & it clings on to any calories you give it #if the reason you stopped eating was due to weight fears then going back on that is gonna make you gain weight more than ever in your life #but in short: this is not sustainable. you cannot live this way. you are killing yourself to do this.#you will have to come down from the tree eventually & it will suck & be scary the whole ride through #& I'm sorry for that. but i hope you can do it.#ed mention #eating disorder mention #eating disorder #man this started as me getting mad thinspo is a thing then i realized these people are as much a victim as me #if not more bc that is some cult stuff. they are in a cult. it's just that I'm the demon they paint on the wall.#that ain't as hard as being in a cult tbh. i only have to hear how awful my body is #instead of being made to starve out of fear of it
